our cesc consumer number is [protected], we have a single meter phase . usually we pay 1500 to 2000 max to max in one month .. as because me and my father both are doing job and we are always out in the daytime ... i just dn't how come just after we changed our meter box a tremendous change came in terms of billing ... we stay in one stroey house, stay in house for a very little time and we have got our recent bill, the month of july bill amount was terribly shocking ..it is 17760 for a single phase meter ... this is too much ...i think this is the time I should raise my voice .. please we are common people ..we work hard to earn money (all white)..we can not waste our money in this way ... please do something about it ... please do the needful to solve my problem...2031 units for a single meter phase that too who stay in house for little time is absurd ... i request you to take some actions against it or change the meter if this is possibly defective ... please do something. yours sincerely- Gargi guha neogi...

    I was billed for Rs 15, 290( Fifteen Thousand Two Hundred and Ninety) Units- 1716 for the month of July 2014.

    This is super-excess billing - either the metre is defective or the person who came for reading did not do his job properly.

    We request you to look into the matter and solve the matter at the earliest

    The previous reading was June is 362 units and biling amount was Rs 2740

The Bill(No.[protected] for the month of July, 2014 & the Bill (No. [protected]) for the month of July 2014 have been shown that the total unit consumption are 759 units & 402 units respectively which are very much excessive to normal unit . In fact the total unit consume during the same period of last years that is June 2013 & July 2013 were 303 units for June 2013 and 345 units for July 2013 . Therefore I am requesting you kindly to verify the above said electricity bills and check up the metre (No.[protected] provided to me .           Respected sir, This is to inform that i Narshing Kumar Agarwal having LP No. 62/35 Consumer No.[protected], residing at 472-C Shaheed Hemant Kumar Basu Sarani Lakshmi Tower 4th Floor Kolkata -700074, is not satisfied with my CESC July2014 billing amount of Rs23060, having bill no. [protected], beacaus e it showing 2608 unit consumed in July2014, as compared to the following months unit consumed Details given Below Month /Year Unit consumed 02/14 0 03/14 799 04/14 55 05/14 142 06/14 139 07/14 2608 It is clear that either the meter is faulty or that there is some other problem. I do not accept that the meter is recording accurately Either way, the bill is not a true reflection of [electricity used. I now wish to request you to carry out a test on the meter at my home. I look forward to hearing from you with a suitable date for the test to be carried out.

              It is a matter of Great Regret that despite informing andwriting to you The problem is net getting solved. The above connection has beenprovided at the following premises.
              Flat No. - 8F Regent towers 121/1 N.S.C. Bose RoadKolkata – 700040
              Nobody is currently using the above Flat and therefore the Electric Bill was beinggenerated for Only 1- 2 units only. ( A copy of Bill is attached -both sides-wherein you shall please observe that billing for last 1year was for only 1-2 units ).
              However we find that for last three months the ElectricBill is being billed at the following consumption o[censored]nits – despite the Flat remaining locked with nousage of electricity.
              April 2014 – 166 units May 2014 - 82 units June 2014 – 83 units
              YOURINSPECTION TEAM HAS REPORTED THAT THE METER IS OK HOWEVER THE METER IS REGISTERINGJUMPS EVERYDAY DESPITE THE FLAT BEING
              Weapprehend that either the connection has been pilfered or the Meter is faultyas anew meter has been installed. A NEW DIGITAL METER WAS ALSO INSTALLED BY CESC RECENTLY WITHOUT OUR REQUEST ORADVISE FOR THIS
              Though we are proceeding for the full payment, requestyou to kindly ensure the following immediately.
              1) PLEASECHECK FOR ANY PILFERAGE
              2) PLEASECHECK THE METER
              3) PLEASEREFUND THE WRONGFUL METERED BILLS

                    This is to inform you that there is a fault while reading Meter realted to Anjan Mukherjee - 4/75 Chandiatala Lane, Kolkata - 700 040, Consumer No. [protected], Consumer Id : [protected]. It is to be noted that the total Consumption raised in bill from January 2014 to July 2014 is 14 units only. We have already made a verbal complaint over the phone to look in to this matter earlier but no action has been taken.

                      My bill has been over excess from the last month. before the last month, i have 2 years history that my bill amounted to[protected], but suddenly the last month my bill was 16000(approx.), i tried a lot complain and all but nthng was the result. This month again my bill is double, and the most strange part is the meter reading mentioned in the bill is 210units excess than what is being displayed in my meter. I want an action please sir, its a request. i am a middle class man, and it is seriusly not possible for me to pay such huge amounts. please help out sir. you can contact me on [protected]

                        I have recieved one SMS in my registered mobile number [protected] from LM-CESC mentioning that one Mr Abhik Basuroy has deposited one application at CESC requesting to change my meter(consumer number [protected]) in his name.
                        It may please be noted that at present I am at Bangalore since last 15 days or so and I have not signed any such application nor have directed any one for such change of name of my above mentioned consumer number,
                        It is therefore requested to stop such change immediately.

Dear Sir, Sub: High Bill amount and adjustment of excess amount paid for Electricity for the months of June & July 2014. Ref: Consumer No. [protected] Consumer ID : [protected] [protected][protected][protected] 1. I normally pay my electricity bill around Rs.2000.00 (maximum) every month. 2. During the month of June 2014 I received an exorbitant high bill amounting Rs.9390.00 in spite of my usual normal consumption. I contacted, as per instruction printed over the bill, to Ms. Subhra Chatterjee, Commercial Executive over phone and she informed me of a fault in the billing system of my area of residence and advised me to pay the amount. She also assured me that the excess amount being paid by me will be adjusted with the next month’s (July 2014) bill. 3. While I paid the amount of Rs. 9310.00 (payable within due date) I was surprised to receive my next bill for the month of July 2014 amounting as high as Rs.4350.00 (vide Bill No. [protected]). I regret that the excess amount paid by me for June 2014 bill was not at all adjusted with my July 2014 bill instead I received another bill o[censored]nusually high amount for the month of July 2014. 4. I request you to please review my bills generated for the months of June and July 2014 and bring down the excess amounts to normal range and effect refund/adjustment of the high amounts reflected in those bills. 5. I request for redressal of my grievances that have cropped up due to my receipt of such high bill amounts which is beyond my financial capacity and out of the level of my monthly consumption of electricity. 6. If you so desire, you may depute some of your competent persons to inspect my electricity meter to find out whether any fault lies within or otherwise please arrange to adjust/refund me the amount I paid in excess. Further to inform you that in the month of June’14 bill you have shown that no units were consumed and advised not to pay the bill, though the concerned person of your end who has taken the meter reading told verbally that a sum of 164 units were consumed in the month of June’2014 and if you go through the log book of meter reading you will find that another meter bearing consumer no.[protected] situated in the same meter box was read and billed, so it can not be said that meter was inaccessible. You are therefore requested to please rectify the bill for the month of July‘2014 and oblige.

                                      I got an sms alert for bill for consumer no [protected] on my mobile [protected] for 7/14 for an amount of Rs3060(Net). This is aburd and never has been my consumption ever. Is this consumer no mine? please check and correct, and send me a correct sms alert for the correction. I got another alert for my other consumer no [protected]for 7/14 for an amount of Rs460(Net) which appears normal. N Chakravorty 121 Regent Estate Calcutta 700092. Please take urgent action.

                                      Calcutta Electric Supply Corporation [CESC] customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.
                                      I regularly get SMS alerts for bill for consumer no [protected] on my mobile [protected] for 7/14 for an amount of Rs1790(Net). This is absurd as this is not my consumer no. In addition to this absurd SMS, I am regularly receiving sms alerts for my correct consumer no. which [protected]. As such pl delete the wrong consumer no. against my mobile no.
                                      Pl also note that for the wrong consumer no. I get sms alert for meter reading which should also be corrected.

                                        Dear Manager, In my recent bill for the month of July'2014 I received a surprisingly high 215 units consumption & Rs 1350 bill amount.It is too much as per previous months consumption . We had a consumption as per our last five months consumption details provided by you was 64, 81, 134, 161, and 96 units inFeb - June 2014 bill. Please look in to this matter.
