Consumer no [protected] Dear Sir / Madam, Re: Excess Billing for the month of June 2014 Ref: Consumer no [protected], Domestic. Complaint Docket: 150714/[protected]/150714 I received the above Bill for Rs. 9820.00 for a consumption of 1124 units during the month of June’ 14 which is exorbitantly high compared to the past history of 18 years since we took the possession of the flat. It is also true that no extra load has been added since the time of possession excepting normal wear and tear and that too with much more energy efficient bulbs and tube lights. The consistent consumption pattern for years together will justify itself in support of my statement. Also it may please be noted that since possession I and my wife have been staying in this flat for the last 18 years. We both leave for our offices together at 10:30 in the morning and come back home by 7 o’ clock in the night and use the same electrical system that we have been using since beginning. I am strongly of the opinion that either there were some technical defects in the meter or may be some other faults to investigate by you and determine. I am really stunned as I find no justified reason for such exorbitant consumption. If you deem fit you may also please depute your person under intimation to me to check the installations at my place. My meter was of manual type which has recently been replaced with a digital one after this complaint but can someone help to sort out the excess Bill which I think should be settled on on average consumption basis.     Falsely accusing seal tampering of domestic meter and subsequent harassment

      Dear sir

      I was shocked to receive the bill for the month of july 2014 which showed the unit consumed was 1456 units, and total bill for rs.13030.00.

      Please check our last bills and the average was for 530 to 650 units which was also higher and we complaind for that also but we were told that meter is ok which we still don''t believe. But this is astronomical high amount and we are now 100% sure that either the meter is faulty or there is theft from our line which your engineer refused to check when he came earlier stating that this is not his job.

      We once again request you to get our line checked otherwise this time we have no option but to refer the matter to consumer court.

        I paid online CESC Bill of the consumer no. [protected], [protected], [protected] on the basis of the applicable ebill amount on 4.8.14.by my debit card The amounts are 6015/-, 3216/- & 1593/- as shown online payment time. Today received IOB Bank SMS that another three amount 36.14/-, 67.58/-, 13.43/- are debited from my account of CESC which was informed by your co. It is very serious complaint because without my consent you cant do this. If there are any hidden issue you must inform to the consumer when the consumer already paid as shown on the basis of ebill. How could you collect again any amount without any notice? Plz inform immediately as a serious matter.

            Dear Team,

            I am using your service under Consumer no [protected]; I am
            having concern related to manipulation with meter reading and charging high
            bill with any such usage at my end. I am concerned about my June 2014 bill in
            which it has been mentioned that my Unit Consumed is 1305. For the same you
            need to analysis my May’14 Bill where the previous meter reading was 34823 and
            present was mentioned as **** and consumed units as “217” howcome you
            calculated my consumed units when the meter reading executive didn’t mentioned
            my present meter reading status and due to which it impacted my June 2014 bill
            where the reading previous status mentioned as **** and present status as
            36345; so how my normal consumption got hiked more than 1000 units for June
            Cycle?? Its just because of the negligence done at the time of meter reading in
            May month and then to rectify the same I guess manipulation was done with the
            meter in JUNE 2014 reading by the meter reading executive. Please go through my
            consumption history I have never consumed such units in past based on the same I
            request to rectify the mistake and resend a corrected bill so that I can make
            the payment at the earliest. I am not liable for any addition charges if there
            is a delay in the investigation at your end because the problem I am facing
            today is because of negligence in meter reading.

                  we are facing a big problem of excess Electric Bill from April ' 14 to till date. We are only used (2 bulb) (15w & 20w)CLF bulb only night and CRT TV 15" (6 hrs daily) 1 Fan (full day) and 1 fan (10hrs. per day) & computer not daily but weekly (max 10 hrs). same used last 5 years but this year cross the limit please see this matter very seriously. please check our metter as soon as possible.

                  I am Samaresh Chowdhury. My CESC Consumer No. is [protected]. Though I have constructed my house on the holding Number 5/2/A, Hazra Para Lane, Bally, but for the last 35 years I am staying at Noamundi, Dist. Singhbhum(W) in the State of Jharkhand. I am paying my monthly bill either through on line or through cash (whenever I am at my native place). Till now the billing amounts are as expected. But in the month of June 2014, I am surprised to note that CESC has charged me Rs.4, 560.00 whereas for the last 35 years I stayed in my house hardly 15 days continuously. My meter has been placed along with other consumer and I hardly open the meter box. Also it is notable that bill for the month May 2014 was zero.

                  Under the circumstances, I doubt that either:

                  a) it was mistake from the person who noted down the closing balance or
                  b) there is a tampering of line which may be enquired.

The May’ 14 Electric Bill shows a consumption of 99 units which is absolutely absurd. Because the units consumed in the same period last year was 18 only. Moreover I want to inform you that no new equipment is included with the earlier equipments & recently we have taken permission for the Air Conditioner but not installed yet. In view of the above, I would request your good office to please arrange to check our meter and do the needful in this regard as soon as possible. The May’ 14 Electric Bill shows a consumption of 131 units & the June' 14 Electric Bill shows a consumption of 182 units which are absolutely absurd. Because the units consumed in the same period last year were 111 & 89 only. Moreover I want to inform you that only a refrigerator (4 star rated) is included with the earlier equipments & recently we have taken permission for the Air Conditioner but not installed yet.                         Dear Sir, With reference to my Consumer No [protected] & Customer ID [protected], the Electric Bill for the month of June’ 2014 was very much excessive compared to earlier months. The Jun’ 14 Electric Bills shows a consumption of 1891 units which is around 6.5 times of my average monthly consumption and is absolutely absurd. The Bill amount for Jun’ 14 is Rs. 16, 300/- (Rupees Sixteen thousand three hundred only) is very much high & is beyond my budget. Moreover, I would like to inform you that my Bill for May’ 14 (Bill No. [protected]) was Rs. 67/- against zero (0) Units consumed & was instructed “Please Do not pay this Bill”. As a result of some problem in the meter the Units consumed for May’ 14 displayed zero (0) Units and it had compounded our problem in Jun’14.                                   Dear sirs, This has the reference of the Customer ID [protected], Consumer No [protected].I Bhaskar Roy S/O Late: Sunil Kr. Roy, expressing my grievance regarding the excessive bill for the months of May, June, July'2014. The amount is Rs.880(May'14), (Rupees Eight hundred and eighty only), Rs.710 (June'14), (Seven hundred and ten only) also expressing that, i am unable to pay such amount. And, i have inform you that the amount is claiming by the CESC is the highest amount in the history of the mentioned consumer number above. and I also inform you, that i didn't increase any utilities (Higher electric consuming product) in my home for previous five years to the best of my knowledge.
