I am using a citibank credit card since 6 years and have a very good track record. I am a full time online shopper and mostly shop through ebay (with EMI's). There were two transactions for 15750/- during July 2014. First order for 15750 was on 14th July and Second order of 15750 was on 22nd July. Both orders didn't go through, so the amount was refunded automatically via ebay. Both the transactions have been credited to my account successfully. However, there is a transaction of 13189.86 and 10719.64 for 28/07/2014 and 7/8/2014 respectively. Note that the transaction for 10719/- is showing as EMI 001/003. I called customer care 5 times so far. Every executive gives a difference story of how that money came into picture. Yesterday a manager from Citibank informed me that i am being charged for some EMI transaction from November last year, which is ridiculous. I fail to understand what was Citibank doing for the past 9 months. The other executives gave a different story all together. So far, nobody has been able to give me convincing information on what these two transactions are. Citibank is not ready to send an employee to my place to help me understand the transactions, because its getting tedious on the phone. They are not ready to assist me at the Citibank Head office. They are not ready to call a friend of mine who has been helping me out to understand things (note i personally authorized him to be called, still they don't want to. I appreciate the security policies citibank follows). But this needs to be addressed ASAP. Credit card amount is due by 9th September and obviously Citibank wont wait for me to settle my issues before making payments. Also, i notice there was on-going EMI's in the previous months statement (EBAY INDIA-BILLDESK - 001/006). Strangely, its not reflecting in the current month which should have been EBAY INDIA-BILLDESK - 002/006. What happened to that transaction is a mystery. I have picked up only the ebay transactions from my statement and attached below. Even if i compare the debit and credit, i see a difference of -39874.32 during the past two months. Somebody from Citibank has to call me and arrange for a person to come at my place with relevant data and explain what is the issue. Please advise.

There are various cases of CitiBank putting a block on the amounts. I have faced the same issue in past. I had purchased a Air Ticket on Yatra worth Rs. 11, 000 and the transaction had failed at gateway. I tried calling both parties however the amout was never received by Yatra and they were able to provide the proof for the same, which didn't happen in the case of CitiBank. After 10 days i had to finally send final reminder warning to CitiBank, Transaction Gatway and Yatra for which i received reply back from gateway that the amount was blocked and not release by Citi. This was done immediately post instructions from gateway portal.


I would suggest if you have the mail from the gateway portal from which the transaction was processed, try sending the mail to all the three parties as CitiBank representatives are least bothered to resolve their customer queries.

    I would like to inform you that I had applied for CITI BANK Credit Card in July 2014 with all the necessary documents as required (Last 2 months Salary Slip, Last 3 Months Bank Statement, Office Identity Card, 1 Photo, Pan Card Copy and Address Proof Copy). However, Its August now and I still don't know the status of my credit card as I received the call from the enquiry department twice. After that I didn't receive any Reference number or any call for the same. As I spoke several times to the executive of CITIBANK Credit card Management and it was come to an end with unsatisfactory response. Although, I am already using the HDFC Credit Card very well from the past 6 months and do not have any issues with them. So, Therefore I request you to Kindly confirm my Current status of Credit Card as i was eligible for the same in all ways.

      Hi, It is a sorry to state that i have experienced the worst ever banking experience with CITI bank. It was my biggest mistake to open a savings account with your bank. Nothing is in place. From your customer service to your bank centers and the worst is the amount of rules and illogical regulations built into your operations, with no immediate asction from your higher management. Very pathetic experience. I hold differnet accounts with HDFC, IDBI and SBI and they have been just million times better than CITI bank. You do not value customers. Feels pathetic even to write this mail. Want to state the problem and actual flow of events which lead to this complaint. But i know it is of no use. It will be just another complaint. You do not take any action on those complaints. Hope, I am able to get rid of your bank at the earliest.

        I would like to bring to your notice, that i am your customer for the citi bank credit card for the past 25 years, and my payment is very regular and i keep no back log and i clear all the dues in one shot on due dates.

        Sir, i have been using the premier miles credit card for the past 5 years. The latest which has been issued to me is on 10th oct 2013, which is valid upto 2016., without any renewal fees.

        But when i got the bill this time, i am very surprised to see that they have debited the hefty fees of rs 5000/- from my rewards point which i have not encashed so far. They have not informed me any thing regarding this and stright away deducted the amount.

        Sir, inspite of my repeated request to refund the amount debited, they have not obliged so far. Sir, i am really hurt, though i am very sincere and regular in payments, regularly using the credit card for all the amount i have spent, though many establishments charge us for using the card and collect the charges paid by them to you.

        If i had been informed about the fees, i would have opted out to have the premier miles card and continued the one which i was having.

        Hence i sincerely request you sir, to consider the case and instruct suitably the concerned dept to recredit the rewards point deducted.

          I had opened a savings account with the Citibank on 8th of august and was "Requested" to give them 4-7 working days for the activation.I happily obliged. Its more than 15 days now and the account is still not activated. It's already past my payday and I would not be getting this months salary thanks to citibank. I would like to specially register complaint against ROHIT NAIK, CITBANK, MG Road branch who is the agent who I contacted. He has not picked my calls for the enquiries since the day i filled the application nor does he respond to any messages.

            Dear Sir/Madam, Today at 11.00 a.m, I received call from mobile [protected] and caller (Priti Sharma) informed me that I am calling from citi bank head office new delhi. She inquired with me regarding any loan requirement. Once i shown interest in taking loan, she informed that i have to buy insurance policy for Rs. 50000/- (5% of Loan amount). After some time i again received call from same number and this time he arranged conversation with his senior Manager (Amit Goel) for confirmation of taking loan and policy. Post discussion I again received call from Mr. Sandeep Jain for verification purpose from mobile no. [protected] However when i questioned him whether your bank can give loan to me in Surat, he told that don't worry it will be done from Head office new delhi. After this I received SMS from above number to make payment through NEFT and email my documents for policy issuance. PNM Services Pvt Ltd Bank account No.[protected] IFSC code ICIC0000928 email id [protected]@gmail.com I have checked online for detailed and I did not find your office at above address. I feel above call has been done to cheat me. Hence I hereby request you to please take necessary action against them.

              my first complain to your nodal on 21st- Dear Sir, My name is Krishanu Chatterjee, my card no is [protected].I have requested for settlement for almost 2 months back, have had negotiation and then got confirmation that you would settle at 24k.Last to last week only somebody called and I confirmed settlement at this amount.But after that no initiative taken from your end.I am not been using this card for more than an year, want to close by paying more than my uses, still no action taken.Pl arrange a call back and dedicate someone to take care of my settlement part, I cant not follow up regularly, i do not have ample time.Pl do the needful.                 Hi Last month my card was upgraded from Platinum to Rewards without any notice. The card was shipped to my registered address and I was notified by a SMS. When I received the latest credit card statement I found that I have 3500+ reward points. When I called the Customer care Number to redeem the points spoke with Aniket Ref. 1492. I was told that I can redeem the points for 40 Paisa each point however it used to be 1 point equivalent to 1 Rupee. And on top of it I was told that your card is upgraded as bank no longer serves the Platinum card. 125 Rupees spent on the card gives me 1 rewards point. Please note: THE LIMIT FOR THE UPGRADED CARD REMAINS THE SAME however the advantages were reduced. Please suggest how to escalate it to the next level. Also sending the same to the Nodal Officers.                   Myself Bairav a software engineer in a private firm had applied for Citi Bank Credit Card, and subimtted all the required documents to representative. After waiting for 2 long weeks got an email saying my application got rejected. I was eligible in all the ways for getting a Credit Card with better Salary. The reason was unsaid by them.

                    There are lot fake commitments from your nodal officers desk and also from your collection desk. Have paid all my outstanding credit card amount on 31st March 2021 ( card num ends with 4714) and raised request for NOC on April 1st. But till now, I haven't received any NOC certificate from your end to my email id. I had a several follow-ups, but all are giving the fake commitments. Someone saying that it is pending with Benchaham team. Really frustrated. You guys are asking me to check my inbox and spam folders without sending my NOC. Please get this processed as much as earlier. This is really impacting me in all cases.

                      Dear Sir or Mam, I have cleared my 2 monthly fuel due of Rs.40000/- as on 05th August 2014 with Hira Filing station Rewari which is Indian Oil Outlet and received SMS of Rs. 40000/- from citibank. But when I checked my online statement of citibank it is showing Rs.41123.60/-. I raise this point on phone with Gurgaon customer care of citibank they said that it is surcharge on purchase from unauthorised filing station. Waiver of surcharge is available only on selective filing station of Indian oil which against the consumer law. While selling credit card to us it is informed to us that no surcharge on purchase from Indian Oil Outlet. Then why this surcharge is charged from us. So, it is request to you that please waive this surcharge from my statement and also request you to provide this scheme for all outlet not on selective outlet.                             Hi, My name is Lokesh Rai, I am from Bhopal, n live and work in Delhi NCR, while I was working with IBM Daksh during year[protected], I had my salary account with CITI bank Gurgaon, they issued me a credit card in 2008 or 2009 I don't have exact details with me, since I m not using citi bank ever since I had that dispute, I admit that I had a huge bill which I wasn't able to clear n finally I did settlement of my bill in 18000 rupees for the total bill of 80000, I never received any NOC after I did settlement, they never issued me any receipt as well for the cash that I paid as per d agreement between me n the bank. Collection advisor, , I have an old mum who is 65 n needs treatment, I work in a call centre n feed my mum n a younger brother I earn 25000 in a month, n now after 6 years I was applying for a personal loan thru other financial institutions so that I can get my mum operated, I was informed that my name is reflecting in cibil, I told them that I had already did settlement they asked for noc, which I never received, I consulted a financial advisor n he informed that if the settlement was done they must issue a noc n they must also remove ur. Name from cibil, I approached. Citi bank thru phone they have been asking me write how many times do I have to write . my mum is in terrible situation n needs medical attention urgently know that I earn good I can pay the money back, plz help me or else I may have to die along with my mum, I m a very responsible citizen in india n have been paying tax regularly, I have all the rights to raise concerns, citi is really a fraud bank n must me thrown out of India they cheated me, I can pay high intrest, plz help me otherwise I m gonna force to kill myself, I m in trouble plz help, I m going to escalate same to other social forums n Facebook n twitter, I m gonna publish this story on competitors website fb wall so that people must know how cheat n fraud these private banks are, I feel RBI must charge n penalise them to pay high penalty, I never saw my bill from citi, plz help I really need money to treat my mum, she lives in Bhopal, my number is [protected] I now live in a pg in dayanand colony, I don't remember my details of bank account with citi bank, plz help

                              I had a salaried Citibank suvidha account in Bangalore A/C No# [protected], I had changed my company and then my salary was not crediting into this account, since then the bank deducted service charges without informing me, In soo late I called them today (21 july, 2014) and asked regarding the amount i last for the service charges... one customer care lady said she can revert one month service charge, I asked for all the total money and questioned how can you deduct without informing the customer, she transferred the call to her manager ( she said call going to connect to manager), that manager repeated "I am confirming that we already informed to you by SMS, Email and also by a letter to the registered letter" she repeated this severaltimes, she will not refund all the lose, but she can refund for 6 months deductions... again the call transferred to some one said they can refund 12months at max... I dont understand the game what they playied... I did not received any SMS on my registered mobile no, but they said they sending the account statement every month... i did not received any SMS, she again confirmed that they sent sms and they have a tool to check, I CONFIRMED THAT I DID NOT RECEVED ANY LETTER REGARDING THE SERVICES CHARGES, SMS SINCE ALONG TIME... She said we are "REALLY SORRY FOR THE INCONVENCE" happend... they did not confirm that "really sorry" can be compensate all my lose...

                              is there any chance to get back all my money... which deducted without informing me for any reason.


                              the deductions may be liable, my question is how can you deduct wihtout informing customer/that is me.

                                Hi, I have been using Indian oil Citibank credit card since last 6 months because I have been told about surcharge Waiver across Indian oil outlets. But after purchasing fuel, I came to know that it applies to only selected Citibank outlets which was a violation of customer law due to hiding complete details against purchase. But still I kept quiet because all banks do this against credit cards as the banks think that credit card customers are fools. On 9th June 2014, I tried to close this credit card due to unavailability of Petrol pumps as per my convenience. But again offers explained by customer care executive, I continued the same card. On, 12th July 2014, I Purchased Petrol of INR 300 from Sharada Petroleum, K R road, Bangalore which is having Citibank EDC. Before purchasing, I had a confirmation from Citibank website that there will be no surcharge on total amount from this outlet. But, again Citibank showed its third class mentality of cheating its own customers by adding surcharge to that amount which is a clear violation of customer law. Also, when I tried to put an online complaint, every time it is showing time out even though I was continuously using which is an intentional cheating and violation customer's basic rights. Now I request to please reverse the surcharge amount otherwise suitable legal action would be initiated.

                                  I have requested for settlement of my card 2 months back, initiated call so many time.Last week also have confirmed customer care to initiate the process to close my card.Now again 2 months unnecessary charges got charged to me.I have requested when the amount was 28k, now it has been increased to more that 30k.I need my settlement calculation to happen on 28k when i have informed for a settlement.Pl initiate to close my card asap, i don't want further harassment.I am not been using this card for more than a year now, has been blocked already, am asking for a settlement which is alos not happening from your side.Pl get back to with the procedure else further charges will not bear at all.Pl see.

                                    I am using the Citibank credit card number [protected] from 2013 I missed my payments for 2 months due to some financial issues I made my minimum due payment in April I spoke to the executives and explained my problems I was getting calls by the collection department harassing for payment finally I made a payment of 40000 on 12th July and later I realized my card is closed. If that was the case I would have gone for a settlement. Please assist.
                                    ON 29thfrom Delhi Agarwal called from this NO[protected] took all the deails of my card. I was not prepared to give the details from two days . However he has trapped me quoting RBI guide Lines. giving Citi Bank employee Noalso. Her name mentionedas Sony. After this through On Line they have swipped money on 30th itself onfollowing way

                                      I am using Citibank Credit Card from 2005 and till date I have never raised disputes for any transactions and I have being paying them what ever the Credit Card bill amount was. On 17th Feb 2014 at 10:30 PM India Standard Time, I was about to go to bed and got SMS on my mobile phone stating 2 transactions detailed below. At the same time I called Citibank Officer and gave a complaint that these transactions are happened and I have not done that and at that time I had my credit card with me.

                                      Dispute Details :
                                      1. 17 Feb - Ref No: [protected], Amount Rs: 24971.33, Merchant Name: Coop -1990 BE C.Ryf
                                      2. 17 Feb - Ref No: [protected], Amount Rs: 18503.73, Merchant Name: Coop -1990 BE C.Ryf

                                      On which Citibank gave a Customer Declaration Form to be filled and submitted to them with all the details. Till date they are investigating and have not come to a conclusion. I am not sure why they have billed this transaction to my account and I am liable to pay this.
                                      Upon multiple discussion with Citibank they refuse to debit this from my account. The dispute amount is close to Rs: 43475.06/-.

                                      * 30th April -Citibank has sent me a email to submit Customer Declaration Form, I have filled and submitted.
                                      * On 30th April - Citibank team calls and they say they have not receive my CDF so they cannot pursue investigation.
                                      * 2nd June - I spoke to Citibank and reference no for this was - No: 1620. Again I have submitted my CDF form.
                                      *I have raised a re-dispute on the below transaction dated 14th June 2014, Ref No: 5933.
                                      *8th July Citibank Officer called and confirmed on the re-dispute raised and the Ref No: 9674, dated 8th July 2014.

                                      I would need your support there, These transaction's have happened in Swiss - France and I have never been their in my life. They have also taken my Passport photo copy to verify this and they have not confirmed anything on this till date.

                                        my credit card no. is [protected]. since last so many years we are paying through auto deduction premiums for above mentioned subject. when i asked for the details to customer care they said contact caustomer care royal sunderam. after contacting them, their reply was we will get the details from citi bank. please help me out and provide me the following details: my policy no. coverage amount nature of the product. auto deduction reference no.
