I have made cash payment of Rs. 3, 000/- against my Credit Card Due to M/s. Fortune Advisory Services Team, 21/1/D, Ballygaunge Station Road, 2nd Floor, Kolkata - 700 019, the authorised Collection agent of CITI Bank N.A. vide their Collection Deposit Slip No. 345181 dated 29/10/2008. But till day even after 6 Days the above company has not deposited the amount in Citi Bank.
When I have contacted Mr. Sudip the representative of the above company, he has behaved in a very wrong way with me, and not been able to provide me any details about where is my money, and why they have not deposited it in the bank.

    I am having credit card of Citibank. I was using the same when i was in baroda. Now i got transferred to Pune. So i want to have monthly statement on my email ID. So that i can make a payment accordingly.

    For Last month statement, i was following up with my collegue at my earlier correspondance address at baroda. but he was not received cc statement after 31st Oct-08.

    Now, i am having last month statement with late payment charges. however i am not going to make payment for the same.

    Kindly give me email id of citibank credit card queries for further communication and also give me pune citibank address for payment.

      Dear Sir/Mam,

      I am Neeraj Sharma Working As a Store Manager With Aditya Birla Nuvo Ltd.

      I want to make a complaint against CITIBANK towards the CREDIT CARD FRAUD.

      The case starts from 8th of October, when I was in Faridabad for the opening of one of the new store at that place. One of the city bank executive called me to upgrade my card as a METRO CARD, and to increase my card limit as well and same day i.e. on 8th of October at the same place a Citibank Executive came to my faridabad office along with the new Citibank Credit Card Form with my all details as these details either I know or the Citibank people know and which are very confidential. I gave my card into four broken pieces to executive and filled up a form and went back with all updated details, In addition he promised for the up gradation of the card and up gradation of limit as well.

      On 28th of October when I checked my Credit Card Statement, I saw that somebody swiped my card for Rs.18000/- at Shanti Raj Trade on 12th of October.

      Now the Grievance arises from following points which City Bank is doing:-

      1. My entire personal details leaked form Citibank, the person who called me even he knows my other cards details and he watched my transitions and credit limit and pending credit limit also, and he swipe my card for the entire balance amount. I sure this is
      2. I given my card into four broken pieces after cutting it, how can a merchant accept a broken card?
      3. My card was a photo card and without my absence how can a merchant swipe a damaged card? when card holder is different?
      4. My card was a signature card, how can a merchant accept a copy of charge slip without the original signature and when signatures are not matching.
      5. Somebody swiped my card for a big amount Rs.18000/- and I have not received any sms or call form bank side for a very big transaction.
      6. According to Citibank, I will have to pay the entire amount on the due date.
      7. According to City Bank, the investigation department will take Two Months to investigate the case and till that time I will have to pay, the all charges will be levied by the bank for two months which I am not liable if any investigation is going on.
      8. In all the credit cards fraud cases normally all the banks provide the entire details of the merchant but here in City Bank nobody is ready to provide even a single information like place of the merchant and full name of the organization or merchant where I can do some investigation from my side also.

      Please help me I am unable to pay this amount ( Rs. 18000/-)

      City Bank /Credit Card — Rs.73000 Fraud Transaction

      Dear Concern,
      I was using City Bank Jet Airways credit card in Bangalore.
      I just got trasfered to Gurgaon as was not able to see my statement sheet sent by City Bank. Next month i came to know that Rs. 56000/- amount is due on my card. Immedialty i called the customer care but they said it is late now & money can not be re-imburshed. I have been writing the mail to customer care but till now there is no solution. City bank also has sent the charge slip which doesn't have my signature it is signed by somebodu else in Cheenai but i was there in Bangalore during that period & card was with me. I don't have the ADD-on card also.
      PLEASE LOOK FOR THE MATTER AS I MA NOT ABLE TO GET THE RESPONSE FROM CITY BANK. IT IS HUGE AMOUNT FOR ME.

      My case is similar to your for citibank credit card. I had asked for cancellation of card through customer care call center and stoped using the card. After 5 months, I got a call from citibank to pay the amount of Rs73000. I would like to take this case with a good lawyer. In case you know any good lawyer who can take my case from mumbai, it would be a great help.

        I had always treated Citibank as my primary banker. My relationship with Citibank began with a Suvidha Salary Account (# [protected]). Subsequently, I was given a credit card on the basis of my Suvidha Salary Account and the offer was made that my Suvidha Salary Account # [protected] will be “LIFETIME ZERO-BALANCE”. The account was fine for the last four years. I had been actively using the bank account and the credit card making sure that my relationship may have a good note…I always made full payment on my credit card and never delayed. I don’t think I deserve this treatment for the brand loyalty.

        But Citibank doesn’t seem to be helping this cordial relationship. Off late I saw certain charges worth 250 + taxes each month getting debited from my a/c. When I enquired about the same, they replied that they have revised their schedule of charges and hence they have withdrawn the “Zero-Balance” facility from my a/c despite my credit card is on its basis. But they forgot the adjective “LIFETIME”. When they had initially said “LIFETIME ZERO-BALANCE”, it nowhere implies that they will withdraw the offer after four years. This is purely cheating and breach of contract. Now my a/c has run into negative balance. I used to use this a/c for making my Citibank credit card payments as where I live there is no method of paying to Citibank other than online fund transfer.

        I don’t think what Citibank has done is called ‘Business ethics’. Citibank is known to harass those customers who try staying in harmony with it. I have sent many mails to Citibank customer services but they simply seem to be copying and pasting the same stereotype replies making the revision of schedule of charges a pretext.

        I had several confirmations through Citibank phone banking that my a/c will be “LIFETIME ZERO-BALANCE”- what happened to those confirmations???? If this is how Citibank has to operate in India then it’s high time for it to realize that the bigger authority, i.e. RBI is there to take it to task.

        I want Citibank to fix this issue and put my a/c back to the old set up, i.e. “LIFETIME ZERO-BALANCE”.

          CITI BANK LAUNCHED A CAMPAIGN IN NOV 2005 - FLY FOR FREE OFFER - SPEND RS.30, 000/- BY CREDIT CARD AND GET FREE RETURN AIR TICKET FOR SELECTED DESTINATIONS IN INDIA. I GOT A CONFIRMATION LETTER AND VOUCHER TO FILL IN MY DESTINATION AND DESIRED TRAVEL DATE, CONFIRMATION WAS GIVEN AND ON LAST MINUTE TICKETS WERE NOT PROVIDED, THEN AFTER ABT 3 MONTHS SAME THING HAPPENED CITI BANK EVEN WROTE EMAIL STATING FAILURE TO PROVIDE RETURN AIR TICKET, THE THE CHENNAI CALL CENTER GAVE AN OPTION OF WAIVER OF RS.10, 000/- FOR FAILURE TO PROVIDE AIR TICKETS, AFTER I HV SPEND RS.7000/- THEY DEMANDED THE PAYMENT STATING THAT RS.10, 000/-WAS NEVER OFFERED, AFTER THIS I CALLED UP SEVERAL TIMES EVEN TO THEIR CHENNAI OFFICE BUT TILL DATE ITS ON THE DEAF EARS...             I HAVE A CICIBANK CREDIT CARD I HAVE PURCHASED SOME OF RS. 4080/-. I HAVE NO RECEIVED ANY STATEMENT BUT RECEIVED A CALL FOR PAYMENT OF RS. 4000/- I REMEMBER THAT AROUND 4000/- I HAD SPEND BUT NOT CONFIDENT BUT PAYMENT COLLECTER TOLD ME FOR FOR SENT MY BILL BUT I HAVE NO RECIEVED ANY BILL. AFTER THAT I RECEIVED A BILL WITH LATE FEE + INTREST + SERVICE CHARGES ETC. THAT I RANG TO CCE CITIBANK BUT THEY TOLD WE CAN NOT REVERESD THE CHARGES. AFTER ONE MONTH I AGAINT TOLD TO CCE FOR REVERSED & SHE GIVEN ME BUT 50%.
            MY SIMPLE Q. TO CITI BANK IS IT WORTH TO SPEND MANY TIME & MONEY FOR RS. 80/- AND IS IT WORTH TO SPEND 1300/- FOR LATE OF RS. 80/-.

              as citibank chagred me for the month of Sep-08 - 250/- + service charge tax 20 etc (For keeping balance lower than 10000/- ).

              Than I given application to to close account but insted of closeing account, had chagred me 280/- more as per oct-08 months statement, and give a mail that we regrate to close account .

              This is not valid process if I don't want sevices to continue why Citi bank can ask me charge and keep my account open ????

                I Sunil Kumar Rungta a costumer of your company here by inform you that I am receiving calls from Citi Bank Recovery Department that my installment for the month of September 2008 is pending and the PDC given by me is not cleared by my Bank i.e. AXIS. However, when I confirmed with my Bank i.e. AXIS Bank, the amount of Rs 6066 each month is debited from my Account. Even after myself faxing the bank statement to Mr. Bhaskar on Delhi's Fax Number about clearing of cheques from my bank, I’m receiving calls that the amount is not received by CITI BANK. If the cheque is not pass by AXIS Bank, they should have returned the cheques to you mentioning the reason in Memo for not clearing the cheque.

                As per my bank statement September cheque is cleared from my account on 2nd September 2008 by chq no : 640907 of AXIS Bank

                I request you to please clear this matter within 3 working days else I need to take legal action against unnecessary harassment to me. If the amount is not received by you for the months mentioned above, give me in writing about the same and return me the cheques received back by you. If I don’t receive any information about this, I’ll assume that you are not interested in resolving the issue and I need to proceed further in this regard.

                  I'm a citi bank card holder, Thay forced to take personal loan based on card performance.

                  Now they are charging more than the EMI, bills/ card statements are reaching after due date.

                  Also I pay before they are retriving after due date and charging late fee.
                  I have taken a personal loan of 1.5 lakh from you. My credit card no.is [protected].I am regular payee of each EMI. After getting me the last month statesment i immediately paid the cheque of Rs.5603.42 drawn on New India Bank dated 08/12/06 instead of 08/12/07, it is as per your customer care person. Just because of wrong date they have not considered my cheque. They informed me about my outstanding dues with late payment fee on 03/1/08 on my mobile no. but they did not take any efforts to inform me on my mobile phone about rejected cheque or not sent my rejected cheque on my residential address. Just because of your negligence I will have to pay Rs.600 as late payment fee. Now I want to complain to consummer court or disclose in the news paper about wrongly charging me late payment fee in your 29th December statesment. Since I have paid total amount due to me including your late payment fee, you return me my rejected cheque for further action.

                    Dear Friends and the Concerned Authority,

                    This is Milind - a "Citibank (Indian-Oil) Gold Credit Card" holder.

                    Citibank Credit-Card has recently charged me with very heavy Un-reasonable Excessive "InterestCharge":

                    1) Citibank (Credit-Card) has charged me Rs.840 as "InterestCharge" for a short-payment (pending-balance) of Rs.163 only for just 10 days.

                    2) I paid Rs.26324 within the due date keeping only Rs.163 unpaid. They have sent me this payment statement after next 10 days.

                    3) Called on Wednesday, 22.OCT.2008 at 7:15pm on their Mumbai Call-Center Number # 020.2834.7733(PREF).

                    4)Spoke to Call Centre Executive - ManmeetSingh.

                    5) who informed me that the "InterestCharge" Rs.839.38 (Rs.747.22 +ServiceTax Rs.92.36) have been charged, because of only Rs.163 Short in Payment(Rs.26324.56) made on 09.OCT.2008. This interest is charged on the whole amount of Rs.26500/- for whole One Month.

                    Interest Charge on Rs.163 after 10 days:
                    Rs.747.22 + Service Tax Rs.92.36 = Rs.839.58

                      HI Kirti,

                      I m not satisfied banking with citi bank. My account (Acc # [protected] )was closed without any prior notice. There were 3 EMI's which were supposed to be deducted from my account, as of now I have received a call from ICICI Bank for non clearance of one of the EMI for my personal loan and they will be charging me an additional charge for the bounced check to which I do not agree and the charges should paid by citi bank.
                      I get almost 2 - 3 calls and certain emails everyday from Citibank for credit cards and other offers so why was I not informed about an important thing like an account closure through an email or a Phone call, as per my experience citi bank is unable to give standard service to its customers. I have ECS for phone bills and that's how I got to know that it was de-registered since my account closed. The is below average banking service. I called Hameed, Snigdha Lal, Kirti Suryavanshi and Bhavana several times wasting hours over the phone and the only answer I got from you was system updating which was a very funny answer. Finally Snigdha mailed me some documents to submit. The documents have been submitted on 8th October' 08. If at all citi bank can realize my account is a salary account so how can it be closed without any intimation and where m I suppose to receive my payments. I did not have money to eat food till today (Since my debit card did not work) which is really irritating and hence I feel the need to lodge a complain against Citibank. Also like to mention that the only mail received at my mailing address was a DD and no other letter intimating the account closure.
                      What I need Currently is
                      1> My account to be activated on urgent basis and
                      2> Citi bank to pay up for all the bounce check charges since account closure was not intimated and no reason provided for closing the bank account.
                      If required I will lodge a case against Citi bank for mental harassment and causing inconvenience.

                        I am holding a Citibank Suvidha (savings bank) account (A/c.No.[protected])since Sept.2001. I know that I have to maintain a minimum balance of Rs.5000/ in my account. But to my surprise, an amount of Rs.250/ plus service tax etc. has been debited in my account on 27th Sept.08, eventhough I have maintained above Rs.5000/ in the whole month of Sept.08.

                        On many previous occassions also, service charge of Rs.250+Service Tax has been levied indiscriminately (for example on 29th August 08) without informing or giving a chance
                        and without considering since how long the customer is operating the account. This is very bad in these days of competitive banking activity by Domestic and International Banking Organisations. If such unreasonable debiting continues, I will think of closing my account and have better banking opportunities with other International Banks/Indian reputed private banks. I hope the above Service charges would be REVERSED forthwith, to continue further transactions.

                          Sir, This wis with reference to my close friend Mr. Ravindra Pal Bhasin who was a customer of Citi Bank, Camp, Pune. He borrowed a amount of Rs. 3, 55000/- from citi bank in 2003 for commercial property morgagte loan. He repayment was regular to the bank. He paid his installment of Rs. 60000/- Receipt No 1120 dated 18/10/2007 in east street branch of citi bank of which original copy is with him. after this he paid of Rs. 60000/- Receipt No 31185dated no written on receipt in east street branch of citi bank with Mr. Yogesh Tendulkar of citi bank another payment was maid of Rs. 40000/- dated 27/11/2007 receipt no 2015 in same location. The bank denied this entire payment of Rs. 160000/- that is paid by him in cash in the branch of east street. After somedays they agreed to give Rs. 100000/- out of this and remaining Rs. 60000/- is still pending of which they deny to give The bank people said the employee has ran away with entire amount and recepit books so they are not ready to accept my receipt and are showing this amount still in due. I have several times visited the bank with receipt copies to the branch manager Mr. Paritosh mobile no [protected] (head office mumbai )and he say you go and complaint this to anyone nothing can be done so I request you to look into this matter because its his hard earned money and request you to ask about the same to Citi bank...                             I have applied for Home loans in Citi bank shelters, chennai on August 2nd with all the details. They carry out all the verifications and concluded that the loan is approved and requested me to go for agreement with seller and also requested me to pay the equity of 15 %. I made agreement with seller, paid 15 % equity and bank also made agreement for loan disbursement and also taken processing amount of Rs.7000 also. Then they informed me to keep registration on Sep 15th. From the day till today they are not coming for registration and not properly responding. They also insulting the customer. I think their service is very very poor. If they given information earlier that they will not give loan, i may find other bank. But now they are cheating and delaying. I will not recommend anyone in lifetime for their service. Very worst part is their team and relaionship manager, who doesn't know to treat their customers.

                              citibank send me a pamphlet with periodical bill &asked 2 obtain free gift from M/s. AVA and i called the number supplied..Ava said i pay by my citibank card only for the freight2my residence and asked my address..i agreed and gave my address..
                              ...Ava also asked me2buy some more items which wud b supplied at my residence & wud chrg my citibank credit card again. ava gave no invoice and no charge slip. citibank continues2charge me for freight of free goods assured in the bill and for the godds i bought and not supplied to me.. aramex guys supply no goods. Ava's phone not wrkng...Ava has no mail id also.
                              CITIBANK WEBSITES's complaint portion is malfunctioning ...leave abt redressal... isn't it daylight robbery... for a few hundred bucks nobody's go to the poilice stations to complain against the bad side of our country's large private banks...
                              it isn't AVA or it isn't Aramex just who r duping the public but the giants like CITI who r bringing these kind of firms to our doorsteps.

                                my name is Oindrilla Chaudhuri, my dob is 06/12/80 and i had a citibank shoppers stop credit card back in 2006.The credit limit was Rs100000.
                                The problem is i was unable to pay off the entire account balance and so had decided to setlle the outstanding amount in Emi mode of payment.The recovery agent, her name is Prachi and she works under Ravi Shrivastav and they are based in delhi.The lady Prachi abuses me left, right and center and has been bothering my parents and my husband.she atleast calls me every day for about 100 times.I do understand i had not made the payment for past 2 months but does that mean she will make my survival difficult...she has gone to the extent of telling me kill yourself and then pay the money.it has traumatised me and my family.i have already made a payment of Rs 40, 000.
                                Please help as i am ready to pay, though i have spoken to a manager in citibank customer service but i am sure they are of no news.i would really want your dept to look into the matter before its too late, i am scared she might just kill me, i am in tears.

                                Agents keep on threating the poor customers. They can go to any extent but can NOT do physical harassment or take legal action against you. Just tell them you are going to invovle media... take the girl's real name, Employee ID, Manager's details and call NDTV, Aajtak. Record the phone calls whenevr they call. I have gone through the same and can feel the pain very well.
                                You should not pay a single penny as they are being so rude, abusive and unprofessional.
                                Next time if you get a call ...take down their office details and tell them you are going to involve media.

                                My name is Subhash goel, i have never applied for a citibank credit card or if i have ever applied but never issued by the bank.A month ago i got a letter stating that i have pending dues and that was over a lakh but that time i didnt give it much importance but now they are calling my relatives and family and threatening them to kill, i have written a mail to there manager and awaiting the reply, i wonder if i can take some more corrective measures
                                I am facing the similar situation with Citi bank credit card. I used an amount of 34, 000 and currently not in situation to pay back. The recovery agent keeps on threatning me. I am receiving almost 20 calls per day. More over, the amount has now increased to approx 1, 000, 00 RS. This is really mental torture. Although I confirmed them that I will start paying back once my payment for other personal loans gets completed in december 2009, but they are behind my life.
                                Can any one please suggest if there is any legal way to get some time regarding the payments? I will be paying back but only after my other loans get cleared. I would really appriciate the suggestions. Thanks!
                                I DONT FACE THE SAME PROBLEM BECAUSE I MOVED AND CHANGED MY CELL NOT .YOU NEED TO BE SMARTER THAN THE RECOVERY AGENTS.THESE IDOTS ARE ALSO HUMAN BEINGS REMEMBER .
                                one of the credit card recovery agent is repeatedly calling my parents and the visit them frequently and now i do not live with my parents, i have shifted to another city.can they force my parents to get my contact no. and my address?and can they harress my parents? please help...

                                  I have planned to pre-close my loan of 450000 and I have approached Citibank officers on the same but unfortunately there is nobody interested in helping me. Almost from 2 to 3 weeks (From 21st Sep 08) I have been trying to get in touch with bank. I didn’t get any kind of response from them, rather they disconnect the call or put me on hold for long time or someone advices like instead of pre-closing why can’t you pay as an EMI or someone says we are working on it and disconnects? End of the day nothing is happens positively except I am paying my phone usage charges for calling useless service provider. I also requested them not to generate minimum payment for this month as I am ready to close my loan, they also said yes and know my EMI has been generated and I need to pay it for this month also, I would like remind Citibank that delay is happening from bank’s end and I can’t be billed for that. We understand that Citibank officers are careless because it’s not their money. I have already informed/requested Citibank that I want to close my loan and I will not be able to pay this month’s EMI. So I am not going to pay this and I am also not going to call Citibank officers on this, I request someone from Citibank to call me on my mobile [protected] and get it sorted. Tones of thanks if I can get help.

                                  Yes am also a victim of the same problem. Citibank customer care is not so responsive now. They think their customers as fools. I have been trying to preclose my loan for the last 3 days and no one is working on my request

                                    I purchased a car Maruty wagan R from competent showroom Sector-37 pace city Gurgaon, there one of the representative of citi bank filled my form for the credit card and took all required documents, But till date no status known to me and I wanted to why My card was made as i am salaried person working with reputed company and had own house in gurgaon and I have seen people with No back ground are using the city bank card why I am writting this all is because the representative of city bank available at Maruty show room says that my applecation was rejected.

                                    Please explain the reason why my application was rejected.

                                    Now I have other credit cards but as to why my application was rejected explain even I donot want a card from citi Bank.

                                      I never considered Citibank the best or most ethical bank to deal with, but after this experience, I am shocked at the extent to which the bank is willing to go to harass people.

                                      I work with Hewlett Packard and therefore hold a Citibank salary account, no. [protected]. Recently, on the 1st of October, Wednesday I walked into an ATM for a cash withdrawal and my card was retained by the machine. I made several calls to the customer care number and spoke with several Citiphone officers. Finally, one of the officers informed me that there was a “Debit Hold” on my account, due to which I will not be able to make any transactions or use my account. My salary for the month had just been credited, and I had balance of Rs.86, 500 odd, to which I was being denied access.

                                      Now, this is my money, for which I work the entire month, and I don’t think anybody has the right to deny me access to my own money. What was really shocking is that nobody at Citibank knew the reason for this block. I called again several times hoping to get some answers, but every officer I spoke with asked me to wait for a couple of days to investigate this block and get back to me with the reason. Thursday, the 2nd being a holiday, I waited and started making calls to the bank at 10:00 am on Friday, 3rd October 2008. By the end of the day I would have easily made close to 50 calls, without a resolution. Until now, no one in the bank has any information on this block. Every time I called, I was put on hold for several minutes, at times for up to 35 minutes, and was told that there is a hold, but they are not aware of the reason for this hold and that I’d have to wait for a minimum of 4 working days for them to be able to investigate the reason for this hold.

                                      Incidentally, I have a loan account with Citibank, no. LCBBIS2285837 in a default state. This is an old loan which moved into default some time ago, the reason for which has been made ample clear to the personal loan officers at Delhi, with whom I am in constant touch. I unfortunately lost my father to lung cancer a few years ago, after which I was unemployed for a while and had to relocate to Chennai. While in Chennai, I did approach someone at the bank to continue paying my monthly payments from where I left off, but they refused and requested for a settlement, which I couldn’t afford. Finally after much back and forth, no one got back to me to have this issue resolved. Eventually, I moved back to Bangalore, and received a call six months ago from the personal loan department at Delhi. I again told them that I would be happy to make monthly payments until the time I can afford a settlement.

                                      Since then, for the last six months, I have been making regular monthly payments of Rs. 2990/- followed by a call to Preethi Sharma the loan officer at Delhi confirming my payment. Recently Mr. Vikas, also from Delhi, approached me with an offer to settle this account. I was in regular conversation with him as he offered to settle the outstanding for Rs. 40, 000. I requested him for some additional consideration, and he said he would check and get back to me. However, this was a request for negotiation, not a refusal on my part to settle.

                                      The next day, my account was blocked and I have since been making more than 50 calls a day on an average to have this issue resolved. But no one seems to know the reason for this block. I can fully understand if Citibank would issue this hold on my account if I was absconding / not making payments / refusing to settle. But in spite of being proactive in wanting to settle this defaulted account, I do not see a reason for Citibank to block my salary account, deny me access to my own money and refuse to act on this matter urgently. Being the beginning of the month, I am facing severe difficulty, since all my important payments, including rent and ration are due, which I am unable to carry out due to this hold on my account. I did have some family emergency, where my mother was in need o[censored]rgent treatment, and I had to undergo the additional hassle of borrowing money from a relative at the last minute.

                                      Even if the bank wants to argue and state that they had every reason to put a hold on my account, why would no one at Citibank know the reason for the hold. The least I would expect of a so called professional Multi National Bank is to send me a message or a letter stating the reason for the block, and mentioning the necessary action on my part for having the account reactivated immediately. But instead I have been making calls day and night for the last three days, literally begging every officer to please provide me with a reason, so I can take immediate action to have this issue resolved. However, the clichéd banking procedures require up to 4 days to investigate the reason. This is the most ridiculous situation I have ever come across. First of all, the bank has absolutely no right to touch my salary account. They can send me a legal notice if they please. They know I am in conversation with the personal loan officers, looking to have the outstanding settled. This is purely with a intent to harass. I am being victimized for absolutely no fault of mine. And now, I am at the mercy of the bank, since there is nothing I can do. All I can do is beg and plead with the bank to release my account and let me survive.

                                      In a democratic country, being a salaried individual, is Citibank questioning my right for survival. Can any bank in the world deny an individual access to his own hard earned money? Is this ethical? Will any government warrant such drastic actions? Can any individual be put through such misery in spite of being co-operative? I am ashamed to be a part of this system, where there is no justice. Where someone can be made to suffer to this extent. Is this how Citibank chooses to deal with subprime delinquencies? I understand that federal banks world over and the Reserve Bank of India are providing assistance to banks to control the subprime crisis, to avoid unnecessary harassment of the subprime borrowers. I am certain such actions by any bank are unwarranted and illegal and I am willing to go to any length to shed light on this malpractice.
