Hi,
My name is gaurav haldar.whatever i am writing to you believe me each and every word is true and with a tears in my eyes, The reason behind it is citibank and fullerton, I have taken a loan from fullerton of rs 40000 in the month of april 2008 i have more 2 loans with icici bank and citifinancial thier loans are getting paid time to time now the problem is ther is an ECS of fullerton which is for Rs 2483 is getting returned after having the money in my account..i have a account in citibank now they are giving me the reason that mandat form is not recieved i went to the branch inspite there was no mistake of mine i filled up an mandt form still in the month of august my ecs got returned my cibill report went negative and i was supposed to apply for another loan to pay my credit card for citibank which got rejected after not only that my visa got rejected because of that 3 bounces and i had a loss of 4 lacs ruppes till know..no one is ready to help me...plz help me out plzzzzz, , my number is [protected]

      I am having CITIBANK CREDIT CARD & ICICI SAVING A/C. MY ECS for credit card bill was rejected due to less balance. Bill amount was Rs.7005/54. Citibank has charged me Rs. 1096/70 as a fine under various headings & ICICI charged me Rs. 225/- for citibank ECS return. Citibank details are as follows - ECS return charge Rs.250/-, Interest charge Rs.246/70 & late payment fee Rs.600/- If only citibank charges are to be considered then it comes to 15% per month and 187% per year. It is more than Loan interest. Late was only 10 days. Is it justifiable?

      Citibank Credit Card — charged heavy fine on the credit card due payments

      Hello,

      I am being harrassed on a regular basis by Citi bank on the issue of non payment of the dues. The only reason for non payment being i haven't recieved a singe statement from them. Earlier I used to call them to get the exact due amount. The customer service asked me to pay just the minimum amount by sending their own executive. They never informed me the exact amount. Whenever i enquired about the late fine and interest, got the answer "dont worry sir we'll wave off and we are sending your billing statment with owu excutive". Never recieved one yet!!
      Now all of sudden they are asking me to pay Rs.14000/- for their fault. And the only due amount is approx Rs.2800/-. They are threatning for legal action. Due to their report I am not able to get personal loan, which i needurgently. Please suggest what can I do to cope up with this situation.

      I am getting citi alerts on the mobile for payment due, where as I had made the payment of Rs 1354-00 on the 28th of august, 08. To ascertain why do I get the citi alerts when the payment is already being made, I called up customer care but they answered it was a bounce case. I cannot understand bouncing when their are sufficient funds available at any point of time with my HDFC a/c. Now when I checked with my HDFC statement, I noticed a debit of the said amount and then the credit of the same in my account.
      I want to clear off by paying the amount and close the card but not paying even a single peny other the spent amount. I cannot be held liable for something which was not intentional. And before leaving the company and city, I had sent an email to citibank for the change of address and change of email.
      It is not Justifiable . But If the EMI is bounced we are expected to pay these penalties.
      Recently I have gone through the same issue. I had transferred the amount to maintain the balance on the same day as my ECS date. But ICICI says they check prevous day's balance before rejecting any ECS request and charged me Rs 276 as penalty. I am gonna find a better bank ASAP. Sick of the policies and penalities of Private banks.

        Harrasment pertaining to recovery of Outstanding Dues

        Dear Sir / Madam,
        This is Inderjit S. Gujral from Pune.
        This is in reference to my Credit Card Number [protected].

        I had lost my credit card on 02/07/2005 & had filed a FIR & called up Citibank informing them also on the same day.
        Later i came to know from the Citibank officials that some transactions of approximatelt Rs 35000/- have been made & i went along with the citibank officials to the Shops from where the transactions had been done.
        The officials got their doubts cleared on the same that the transactions were not made by me & told me the amount will be reversed back.
        I did not get a new card & nor the amount was reversed .
        Since then I have been receiving several communications, including Threatening calls from CitiBank & their Recovery Agency pertaining to Recovery of Outstanding Payments.

        I had stopped using My credit Card from August 2005 onwards and conveyed the closure of my account with respective Officer Ms. Sheetal from the Chennai Branch & she assured me that i do not have to make any payments.

        Now again i have started receiving Threatening Calls to make the payments of Rs.1, 05, 694/- or do out of the court settlement or face dire consequences.


        I hereby request you to take the matter appropriately.

        Hi,

        I am having a similar kind of issue regarding Citi bank which Mr. Gujral has gone through.


        I solicit your help to stop the atrocity of Citi Bank in the name of Bad Debt Recovery. I am sure other people are suffering because of the same reason.

        Eight years ago ( in 2001) I applied for a Citi Bank Credit Card through my erstwhile company's salary A/c, but I never received the card. I kept waiting for 2 months and thought that my application must have been denied. After 2 months, I received a call from Citi Bank collection department that my credit card payment is due for over Rs. 40, 000. I was shocked!! I did not even see the card. I told the executive since I never received the card, I am not liable to make the payment and request for a Police Investigation. A senior Police Office came to my place in plain clothes, and took all the details from me. I told him there is a high possibility that the card was delivered to a person in the next building with a similar name (Sumit Chatterjee).

        The Police Officer was convinced after his investigation that I was not at fault, and told me to write a letter to Citibank I did not receive and used any Credit card from Citi Bank and in future I will not need any credit card and no communication with the Citi bank on this. The cased was closed there. I stayed in that house for 2 more years and later moved to some other place. In those 2 years, Citi Bank never contacted me for the same. Now, after 8 long years I received a call this week from Citi Bank saying that I did not pay Rs. 40, 000 I used and after adding up interest the amount has become Rs. 1 Lac, and they are threatening to go to Civil court. Please help me in this regard. You advice is much appreciated!!

          I worked with a well reputed MNC for 22 months [19th July 2006 - 16th May 2008].
          As per the offer letter, compnay was supposed to deduct Provident fund from my salary and also contribute the same amount as thier contribution to my PF, after my confirmation with the company which was done on 19th April 2007.

          However when I left the organisation, I got to know that the company had never deducted the PF from my salary and so they had never contributed their part as well.
          I have been following up with them for more than 3 months now but have not got the solution. Every time they say that we are working on this.
          I wrote a mail to you earlier also but didnt get any reply from you.
          Rquest you to please help me in this case.

            Dear Sir,

            I hold two Citibank Credit Cards since Two and a half years and have been making the payment on time always.I have never skipped a monthly payment.

            Due to an unfortunate event of my passing away in Feb 2008 i had to go out of town for his funeral rites, and it was a time of sorrow during which it is only human to forget about making payments on time.Even at that grief-struck time, Citibank Collection guys had continuosly kept calling me for the payments failing which they had even blocked my cards.
            And even after making payments after that they made late dues on my card and have been continoulsy calling me at odd times.They even call me up on Sundays and keep asking for payment details, that too after makng payments on time.I dropped Two checques for month July payments and they have lost it in transit, they dont take responsibility.when i call them to report about it, they disconnect calls and they repeatedly calls and charge late payment fees and increased rate of interest.They even increase the rate of interest and do not inform the cardholder.
            I hope my grievances will be looked into at the earliest.

              Dear sir,

              This is reading my account no [protected], Citibank Suvidha account. I lost my ATM Card on 19th August 2008. I Called Citibank Customer care, found that the address in my account information is incorrect ie the Zip on my address is incorrect, I spoke to a supervisor named NAZIA who guided me to change the zip code only and then Blocked my account for security purpose, and me a turn around time of 24hrs to get the zip code updated, and asked me to call them back on 20th August at 12.00pm, Taking her words I did call back on 20th August and found that my zip number still not updated.

              Again Spoke to a supervisor by name YOGARAJ who promised me that by another 24hrs the Zip code will be updated.

              And today being my third day still the zip code is not update.

              Without right zip code the new card from citibank will go to a wrong address, and unit this change takes place I will not recieve a new card.

              My Sisters Marriage is on 10th of September 2008. And I am struck in this problem.

              Please help me to get this problem sorted out.

                Gone are the days when the extortion calls from the mumbai underworld were dread... the Directors of Citibank have joined the gang...they have engaged school drop outs/hoodlums to call on their behalf and demand unjustified amounts from hapless commoners...

                This seems to be their legitimate business model...wonder how are they any different from the Bhais... apart from the fact that they wear suits/have had the best education and are seen as the smartest guys around when it comes to financial wizardry (these are the guys responsible for the sub prime mess)...

                fact is they are no different from the underworld, they work in an organised manner, extort money from people except that the undeworld targets the few who are wealthy (not to say that is correct in any way) while these fellows target the public at large (that economies of scale for you!)...

                I am collecting info on the Board of Directors of the Company, and intend to proceed against them, high time they are hauled up in a court of law and held accountable for intimadatory and defaming atctics they have adopted...consumer court actions are not enough...

                yes, , the complaint is an absolute yes!..these guys have a wondderful tactics of calling and threatening. But i want citibank to note one thng...not only u guys have goons with u hav to do something of wat u like...evn i have lots of ppl behind..come and touch me i[censored] can!...this is the dialog that ppl have to tel wen they call..ppl shld understand that i[censored] get afraid they will continue to do so...so...common...i[censored] r facing a financial crunsh...ensure u be brave to face...and if the defaulting period is more than 3 yrs...jus relax!!!...they cant pull a hair out o[censored]...cos recovery time is only 3 yrs!!!...tel them to come near yr house and take charge!!!...u can do it ppl...these ppl are not gods'...they are alll cheaply hired goondas...and one thng all have to keep in mind...JUS DONT WORRY!!!...can anyone give me the address of this number 45546703???...i have goondas...i have to send them to this address...u can pls mail me at [protected]@zapak.com

                  I have Citibank Credit Card No ending with 5004.For payment against my outstanding, I had dropped a cheque of Rs12000/-(which is cleared for Rs 12000/-), Citibank has given me credit for only Rs1200/-. I have made complaint to their customer care but recieved NO revert. Even I made complain to Head of Services also, there also NO revert.Instead I am being cherged penalties and harrassed for making the payments.
                  The biggest worry is they have done a Mistake and there is nobody to listen or resolve to it and on top of that, I am being harrassed. This is further affecting my credit score with CIBIL

                  HI,





                  This is to inform you, Rs.11700 has been deducted from my Corporate Suvidha account (A/C # [protected]) on 5th of Aug’08 for no reason and its showing a SUSPENSE deduction. I went to Gurgoan CITI BANK branch office (DLF SQUARE) on Aug 9th to inquire about my deduction. There I spoke with Mr.Dheeraj, the service manager (Suvidha account) in CITI BANK, he checked and found that the amount has been debited because their was some outstanding balance on some Citi Credit Card, I told him that I never used that card so how come the deduction was made from my account without informing me first, Dheeraj was unable to answer any of my questions, he then, called his HOD Ravi Shankar (Mobile number-[protected] and Direct line –[protected] he also tried to contact his collections team but was unable to do so. He finally asked me to leave as he assured that he will enquire and resolve it. I was called again with all the details on Monday (11th Aug’08), I went to CITI BANK again on Monday but he did not attend me instead. Dheeraj came out in reception of Citi bank and asked me to call their collection team because he would not be able to assist me anymore; he gave their collection Team manager number (Amit – [protected]) who later asked me to see him at (A-25 Mathura Road). I went to their office on the same day and he stated that he is trying to get the details of the person whom the Citi Cradit Card was delivered to when issued, he ensured that he will revert my money in two-three days. Now eight days are over and he is not picking up my call, in fact I tried calling Ravi’s mobile but he is also not answering.





                  Pradeep ([protected]) Corporate Citi bank executive, was unable to give me the positive reply and he also stated that he is not sure as to when the money will be reverted in my account. He then called Amit and asked him as to why he was not answering Sumit’s phone. Amit told him that he was busy in response to that.



                  Pradeep told me, as per Amit some body has misused my card and he has no information who it was. He is in the process of getting information on that person to whom the Citi Credit Card was delivered when issued. Pradeep told me that Amit will call me by tomarrow and in case he doesn’t, then we can email [protected]@citicorp.com, If we still don’t get the assistance then we need to log-in to Citi webcite and file our complaint in BANKING OMBUDSBAND.



                  This is a highly un-expected thing from CITI BANK, as I am in need of money at this point of time since I wouldn’t be able to pay my Home loan installment...



                  Please do the needful, otherwise I have to close my Corporate Suvidha account.

                  As per Pradeep’s commitment no body called me up for the status of reverting of money. Even no one is answering my phone…..



                  Please do the needful and revert my money, so that I would be able to pay my Home installment...

This is gold card having credit limit of 194000.I have recieved a phone call on 04112008 at about 5.00 pm .The caller says that his name is mr Alok and he is speaking on the behalf of citibank. He further says that he wants to meet me .When i checked out the reason why he wants to meet me he inform me that some fraud organistionman misuse my credit card by making its duplicate copy.He further says that fraud man use the complete credit limit of my card.He further says that man purchase jewelary from pavitra jewelars manimajra chd by using this card.Mr alok says that the videos recording was available of that man and we bank was chasing that man.One of my friend in sec 34 confirms me that the same thing is also happens with him and also with other 2 card holders. I have given the copy of the complaint to the local citi bank .Kindly check the matter immediadly.thanks.dilraj singh mann-[protected]

                      ON 20th of June I wrote a Westpac Bank cheque in my Name to be credited in my Citibank NRI account but by mistake wrote down one number short in the nri account number on top of the cheque. Usually, the cheque gets credited in about 10 days in my NRI account however, I called citi after about 15 days to check the status and was told by a citi employee that I wrote down wrong account number and that I need to contact westpac and advise them to send an amended telex copy or alternatively I can ask the bank to recall the cheque. when I contacted westpac they told me it is against westpac's policy to send an amemded telex copy and to recall the amount it would cost me $35 and on top of that it was taking around a month and half for that process to complete. After spending hours talking to both citi and westpac I was forced into asking westpac to charge me the fee and go ahead with recalling the funds and mean while I personally contacted citibank nri employee in Hyderabad. She assured me that I will receive the funds back in westpac within two days. I was so delighted that I found someone who is really doing something and I called westpac and asked them not to go ahead with the recall since it was taking too long and that will save me $35.00 also. However, to my surprise I still haven't received my money back in my bank account. I emailed citinri only to get the same rubber stamp reply that I only have two options that to ask westpac to recall the funds or send an amended telex copy. I was very much disgusted by the level of disconcern shown by citibank. but I had no option but to call westpac again and ask them to recall the funds again. But this time the westpac rep advised me that it has been more than a month since the amount had been withdran and that they can't recall the funds anymore and all they can do now is to trace where the funds are and that will cost me $35.00 again. By this time I already know where the funds are they are not with in my nri account but with citi so the trace results are not really going to help me. I am really stuck and don't know what to do and where to go. Can someone please help me in advising the right.

                        Citibank Loan — Offering loan services

                        Offering CITIBANK LOAN received phone call on my mobile no. when asked where did you get my mobile no. said as you have Citibank account we got the details from Citibank

                        Citibank Credit Card / Loan — claiming illegal money

                        I hold a citibank credit card. Citibank offered me a loan on phone.
                        And for that I had to pay EMI for 36 months.
                        After taking that loan, I have paid EMI regularly.
                        After around 1 year I got letter whcih asked me to return all the rest amount.
                        When I asked them , they told that they issued one link card .
                        And there was due for that card. So they have blocked the original card and claimimg.

                        1. The address they sent the link card , was not my current address.

                        2. After giving loan, how a bank claim to return all the amount. They took interest for 1 year.
                        3. I am not a defaulter , I have paid all the EMIs.

                        4. If they issued any link, why they didn't tell me that for any discrepency of the link card they can calim the loan amount.

                        5. e.g If I take a loan of Rs. 2500000.00 and after certain years bank offered me to open an account . After opening the account, if bank finds any discrepency in my account, how the bank can calim that huge amount to return ?, which is not possible to any one. ( Note: EMIs are regular).

                        Citibank Credit Card — claiming illegal money

                        I hold a Citibank credit card. For that card, Citibank offered me a loan of Rs.58000.00.

                        For that I had to pay 36 EMI.



                        But after paying EMI regularly for one year, I got message that Citibank is claiming the rest amount.

                        When I asked them about this, they say that they issued one link card and I have some dues on that card. So they have

                        Blocked my original card and claiming the amount.



                        When I asked them where they have send that link card, they told that they sent that card to my previous office address.

                        But I left that office before that. I informed them that I have not received that card).



                        Even, they have not sent any statement for that link card.



                        After giving loan, how the bank can ask to return the entire amount, if I pay EMI regularly.

                        (If one has money to refund then why he will take loan?)



                        E.g. If I take loan of Rs . 2500000.00 From any bank for purchasing a flat or medical purpose.

                        After giving EMIs for one or two year (Note: Bank deducts very less amount of principal), bank suddenly asks me to return that huge amount

                        And for that they are giving one reason ( either the account I have in their bank, the minimum amount is not there or any other reason).



                        Then how it is possible to return that huge amount?



                        Note: EMIs are regular. (not defaulter)

                        I have paid EMI regularly.

                        Citibank Indian Oil Card — Payment paid still getting harrsed

                        Dear Sir/Mam, My name is naved khan and i was the user of Citibank Indian Oil Card ending with 6014 for approx 4 years. During this tenure there were various instances where in they have added wrong charges and when questioned thay have reversed the same. ( have all e mails of the same).

                        Now in month of July'07 i requested to close my account as again thay have added some false charges and when questioned they said we will be reversing in next bill cycle. THis was the high time i insisited to let me knwo the amount which needs to be paid and dont want to continue the services. They said okay your entire amount pedning is Rs 31,963 i deposited the entire amount thru cheque no 192466. on 11th '07 July to them. Now this cheque was been lost at there end as confirmed by the mail which i received on 14th july '07. After receiveing the intimation i requested them so send someone to collect the payment as i again dont want my cheque to be lost. They said they cant send someone, i said but previous your guys used to come and collect from me they said okay i will check and do the need full. Mean while there bill was again printed and they added late payment charges and interest charges and this amount agained got increased.

                        I was shocked to see that as cheque was lost from them not by me . From August '07 onwards my time of harrsament started i recieved a call from citibank and they asked to to deposit at least 4,000 as your cheque has been stoped i requested him to take the entire amount of Rs 31,963 tommrow as ATM limit is Rs 15,000 daily only he said no pleas depsit only 4,000 rest you can pay later but pay today. Even then i sumbitted Rs 20,000 to the agent that day only ( cash receipt i had it ). Now the remaing amount of Rs 11,963 which i was supposed to pay . The collection call came and i said that i have deposited more then 50% now reaming maount is 11,963 but in new bill cycle they have added approx Rs 4000 more as a late payment & interest charges . The collection agent said sir you dont worry please pay the amount and rest charges will be waiaved off so i paid the entire amount of Rs 11963. Now the real fun begins now i m receiving call saying pay the remaining amount of approx Rs 4,500 i told them repeatedly that this is late payment charges not the any transaction amount but again & again they i am receivng inflated bill with added interest charges and late payment . I have written various mails but it has entered into deaf ears.

                        Now even a threatining call came to pay the amount now tell me where i am at fault i have paid all the amount which i was liable to pay i.e Rs 31963. Still they are harrasing me again & again i told them if any transction amount is pending them i m liable to pay but not for late payment & interst charges as cheque was lost by citibank not by me.

                        With most keeneness i have applied to consumer cell please help me out before they use any unfair means to me .
                        I have all the mails which i have interacted with them and all the proof in written from day one which i can present to you.

                        Citibank Loan On Credit Card — Did not Accept Loan but need make EMI Payment

                        On 20th Dec 2007 I have received a call from Citi Bank stating that basing on my credit card transactions i have been offered a loan of Rs.190000/- I have enquired for few details regarding emi and interest and said initially yes and next morning I have called up the no. which i have received call from and no body is attending the call again on 22nd I have received a call from the executive confirming the same i have conveyed him I will not be able to make up with the new commitment so please dont issue me loan, he said he will get back to me and I have received a Cheque/DD on 26th Dec, which I did not accept and sent back the same to the consignor.

                        I have received loan repayment schedule and credit card statement asking me to make a payment of emi as well as processing charges and service tax.

                        I have called up citi bank customer care raised a complaint for the same after receiving the statement from then to 21st Feb 2007 I have made several calls about this issue, every time they are conveying me the message we have sent your complaint to concerned department we will be receiving the feed back give us a call after 3 to 4 days, when i called up on 21st Feb 2007 I have been said by customer care executive that i will be receiving a call before 25th Feb 2007 and also i have been said i need not make any payment as i did not avail the loan, in the mean while i have not received any phone call or credit card statement from citi bank confirming something about my complaint.

                        Finally when I called up today i.e. on 15th March 2008 I have been conveyed by the citi bank customer care executive I need to make a payment of approximately Rs.18000/- after cancellation of loan, I was shocked to hear the same.

                        Please help me to come out of this issue, I am having a very good credit record, because of this issue it might get spoiled.

                        Citi Bank Indian Oil Credit Card — Forcefully Sticking the Unnecessary Insurance

                        Dear Sir,

                        This is to inform you that I, Panna Lal has been offered by Citi Bank for the free Indian-oil credit card which i really was not interested to make but they made my card without any paper documentation and send it to my home.

                        After sending the card they started to make a call for different different offer but every time my answer was NO.Then one day they offered me for some Insurance plan for all family, again i was not interested for the plan as i had already an insurance plan from my organisation.But they did their own and they sent all the insurance card and documents to my home without any paper documentation and after one month they started to send me a statement that i have to pay around Rs.8000/-.Now it was something ridiculous and completely unexpectable because i had never used my card anywhere, not even a single transaction.And i have been charged this much of Amount.Even i had send a letter for the discontinue of my policy after a call from Citi Bank. But again and again they started to torture me through a cell phone even getting a threaten from them so many times.

                        This is really a some kind o[censored]nethically and dishonorably from this kind of reputated Organisation.Even i really don't understand why they are doing this kind of thing ? Is it so easy to earn money from anywhere that they can charge anything and people will pay that easily as currencies are lying in road..?

                        Citibank — everyday harassment over fake transaction not payable by me

                        i was earlier holding a citi bank credit card no [protected]

                        as on 02nd may 2007, i had an outstanding on total -- 20247 /=

                        unfortunately there has been two time fake trasanction/misuse on 15th may for rs. 22797 x2 = 45594/-

                        i recd a call from citi bank mumbai office reagarding this transaction, and thereafter my card were blocked due to this misuse.

                        after this, citi bank investigating officer visited my office and i give my confirmation of misuse of rs. 45594/= as the misuse shows some out of country transactions where as i was in india .

                        after receipt of further outstanding of 65 thousands, i started follow up with citi bank and later after following uo with citi bank only 22797/ were waived off.

                        i have paid 7500 /= on dtd.14/08/07 and 12500 /= on dtd. 19.11.08 /= which were my actual outstanding befor misuse of card.

                        since then i m receiving outstanding everymonth for this 22797 along with interst and penalty which is not applicable.

                        i am also receiving calls everyday for the payment .

                        i have requested citi bank coustmer care for removing this outstanding as i have no pending amount in my favour .
                        but i have not received any favourable response.

                        please do me your favour and arrange to solve this issue as i m getting calls from citi bank recovery agents everyday and i have been scared of anu unfortunate happening with me.

                        Citibank MTV Credit Card — repeated harassment for payment of invalid dues

                        hi ! got mtv credit card made which was supposed to be free with no rental. even though we have never used it, we keep getting repeated phone calls for payment recovery where the amount keeps increasing with every call. when we get into unpleasant argument and demand a statement as to how this amount has come up that they are requesting payemnt for ... it is never done and call is finished with the statemnet that "we willg etback to yoiu" which ofcouse never happens ! then after few days again we get a threatening call that the payment of a certain amount is due and if not payed then there will be consquences of legal suits and so on...
                        Don't worry... Tell them to File Legal Suit against... If you have not used the Card then why worry. If it gets intolerable give a Polica Complaint and teach them a Lesson...

                        I want to get my City Bank Credit Card Statement through e-mail regularly.

                        Citibank Platinum Credit Card — Fraud on my Citibank Credit Card

                        I want to lodge a complaint as my Citibank credit card, an add – on credit card on my husband credit card has been misused to commit fraud by an unknown person in Delhi while I have been in Mumbai. The card has been issued in my name.

                        I have been in Mumbai and the credit card is in our safety vault, also I have not shared my card details with anyone on phone or online and don’t understand how someone could have used my card. Needless to say, I suspect that it may be someone who has access to confidential information from the bank.

                        My husband received a sms on night of July 15, on his way home from work at 8:57 pm which said “You had a high value charge approved on your card. Please call the local citiphone no., if you do not confirm the purchase on your card no. ending – XXXX.”

                        My husband reached home and confirmed my card no and realising that something is wrong as we had not made any purchases, immediately called the local citiphone no. and spoke with Kunal Sagar at 9:34 pm.

                        When Kunal Sagar confirmed that my card has been used to make five purchase transactions of high value, we were shocked, refuted the claim and immediately blocked the card and asked him how to proceed further. He said we can’t do much but assured us that the Citibank Fraud Department will call us the next morning.

                        Thereafter, we visited the local Police Station, the same night and were asked to submit a written complaint by the officer on duty which we did.

                        We are very worried and are panicking as we have read in newspapers all sorts of stories about these frauds and couldn’t sleep so we kept trying to call our local citiphone no. in a bid to get addresses of the establishments but could not get through.

                        Next morning, we tried again as no one from the Citibank Fraud Department had got in touch with us yet and infact still haven’t and managed to speak with Ashley, Kanchan and their senior Pravina P at 8:55 am.

                        There have been 8 such transactions’ worth INR 2, 82, 600 from 3 stores in a span of 8 days that we have been able to gather so far and we are refuting.

                        We asked Citibank for the addresses of the stores where purchases have been made, details of the purchases such as home delivery or filling of warranty cards but they didn’t have the details but revealed that it was in Delhi and not Mumbai and that there were more than the five transactions that Kunal told us about the previous night. Kunal had failed to give us details of the first three transactions.
                        Also, contrary to what Kunal said, Pravina and Kanchan said the Fraud Department would not get into the act until after the bill is generated or atleast till they receive the transaction slips from member establishment for payment.

                        In addition no one could explain the sms as to who called Citbank for the approval of the high value charge and how Citibank approved it and why did they not inform us before that day’s transactions as the high value transactions had started since 8th July, 2008.
                        Incidentally we had just finished repaying last of the INR 3.5 lacs that we had used on the card a day earlier on July 7.

                        Our fears are not assuaged by Citibank’s behaviour as they have without conducting a fair enquiry made us scapegoats and said we had to pay up as they were swipe transactions although I have more than enough alibi that I have been in Mumbai all the time.
                        Also, what about the credit card transaction slips… why don’t they show them to us despite repeated requests.

                        We are unable to get on with our work as we are in a shock and feel violated.

                        My credit card data has been compromised and my card has been skymed.

                        We want the culprit to be caught, by looking for him if he goes to make another purchase the next day, by checking the CCTV cameras if installed, checking record and details in the above establishments and hope Citibank has made a note of our plea and does not bill us for these fraudulent charges as we have informed the bank before the bill has been generated and within an hour of receiving the sms.

                        We would also request the bank to follow the system that is offered by other banks where we receive a sms within minutes after every transaction so this could have been avoided.

                        Also, we would be grateful if anyone from Citibank could keep in touch with us to inform us of the developments which they haven't bothered t do so far.

                        Hi,
                        I was issued a citibank cash card in 2005, which is never used.
                        At the time of filling the form they took my residencial phone number. And without any written information or anything Citibank started paying my phone bills. For this i made them request not to do the same and payed all the dues . But to my shock I came to know that they have made more transactions from my card without my consent . Citibank bought a medical policy also from my name n charging me 15000 for the same. I requested them a lot many times to revert back the charges and close the account . Its been two years now, I have talked to hundreds of their representative explained my case hundred times .. but every one shouted at me. And behaved inhumanly.
                        Also without settling the case or talking to me my name is given in CIBIL and because of this I am not able to apply for new credit cards.
                        Please help me and let me know how can i procedd further.

                        Citibank Credit Card — billing even after cancellation of card

                        I had been issued a CITIBANK credit card no. [protected], which was not used at all by me.
                        once a telly marketing executive called me and asked me to enrol for the insurance policy scheme to which i agreed on assurance that if the offer does not suit me me i would be at liberty to withdraw the same within 1 month.
                        when i recd the first bill, i decided to forgo the insurance scheme and called up the citiphone helpline and requested them to cancel the scheme as well as my credit card which i did not require. the customer care executive confirmed that all my entries have been reversed and my card has been cancelled.
                        i still kept on receiving the bills including accrued late payment fee and other charges every month.
                        i called up the customer care executive (Nitika) on 06-09-07 and apprised her of the undue billing, to which she again assured me that i shall not receive any bill in future.
                        till date i am receiving the bills including accrued late payment fee and other charges.

                        Citibank Indian Oil Card — blocking of card on being lost

                        On card being lost and on being informed that the cheque is not being received with lot of difficulties I got the card blocked and paid the entire amount after finding out more than 1 and half month back, but other day I was informed it is active and showing the debit balance of more than 3000- I am failed to understand of the behaviour of your officials and the info your bank after taking all precuations and even reporting about the same.

                        THIS IS MY PROBLEM AND KINDLY HELP ME OUT

                        I have been using ur Citibank card for the past 2years and I have never been a defaulter or I have never made any late payment. And I have also taken health care policy and two loans which had been paid very promptly.

                        Last month I was pestered by ur sales executive Ashok from Personal Loan Dept and he forced me take a PL for Rs.112900/-(approx), even though I was not in interested I availed the loan and he told that it was an TOPUP loan and the previous loan which I have taken for Rs.30, 000/- earlier will get closed and I’ll get only the balance amount for Rs.93.970/- in my hand and the rest of the amount of Rs.19000/- will be taken towards the previous loans pre-closure. By 18/06/08 u people have dispatched the draft for Rs.93970/- and I got the draft on 20/06/08 as soon as I got the Draft I returned back to you on the same date 20/06/08 through Professional Courier ( POD No: IXM ) and immediately I informed cus.care people about this issue and gave them all these details.

                        And the guy who booked this loan told me that if at all im going to cash the draft ill be charged and I have a free look period of 30days and I can return the draft at any point of time. And I would have asked a thousand times to him whether I can cancel the draft before 30days and continue with the previous loan and he told yes their will not be any charge and I can return the draft and continue the previous loan. He never kept me informed that while cancelling my top-up loan the previous loan gets pre closed and I cant continue with the previous loan.

                        If this is the case as ur cheating the customer u should come front 2 help ur customer but nothing has happened so far. And ill never leave this issue ill mail to the concerned person regarding this issue to Citi bank cards, ZSM, President, CIBIL and to the concerned Bearu .

AND I KNOW THAT U PEOPLE GIVE MUCH BENEFIT, OFFER THEM A GOLDEN CARD AND INCREASE THE CREDIT LIMIT TO THOSE PEOPLE WHO BONUCE THEIR PAYMENT AND NEVER USE THEIR CARD AND NEVER BOTHERED ABOUT PEOPLE WHO ARE VERY PROMPT .Worthless organisation do some thing to sustain ur good customers first.

                        When I requested to change the interest they told me that I cant pre close the loan till September and when the mistake falls on ur side ur asking me pre-close the loan. I never mind to pay ur money but why the hell should I pay the pre-closure charges.

                        If this is going to very regular issue from ur side then 1day when u turn back their will not be single customer with ur concern. Take some necessary steps to hold ur customers.

                        The only mistake I have done is, I have paid all the due amount on correct date and time without fail. And I feel ashamed to be ur worthless customer so far, for the past 2years.
                        The Northland Group has been harrasing me trying too collect a balance on your behalf that I do not owe I already talked to a woman and I gave her my last four digits of my SS and my date of birth and she told me that I am the wrong person. A person named Josh has called about 4 times and the last time I tryed to explain that I already contacted somebody and he does not listen he is very very rude every time he calls and he told me that he is not going to stop calling he also was very rude to my wife, telling her that I owe money that she doesn't know obout this has to stop now. I hope you take action on this matter ASAP.

                        This company is claming aprox Rs.11500/- from my Citibank Credit Card. the latest being 16th-22th December 2008. Also, even Citibank is not able to tell from which "Voda Number" is this person claiming the amount.

                        This is reflected as In My credit Card Bill and this has happened 1st times.

                        please help me to get rid of this nonsense portal?
                        Else, please let me know by any way I can lodge a complaint with concerned authorities.

                        Citibank Credit Card. — Forced debit.

                        I had a Taj Epicure citibank Diners card. It was closed. The bank has sent me a statement for Mediclaim charged on my card. Since I do not have the card nor do I want the mediclaim, I refused to pay for it. This was told to all the call center agents who were following up for the payment.However nobody seems to have taken corrective action.I tried calling on the toll free number, however it is asking for password number which I do not have.I tried to post complaint on the website, it is not going through.

                        I have discussed with everybody who have called without any resolution. I have also sent mail to their complaint officer Julio Rebeiro.There is no acknowledgment. Now there are threatening letters from the company for sending the case to their recovery agents.

                        I have not purchased anything on the card & I do not owe anything to the bank so there is no reason for me to pay. Now they are trying to recover the money forcefully.

                        What is the action I can take to stop this illegal recovery.

                        This is regarding the above mentioned card which have been closed since 28/06/07 but receiving the statements ever since on the grounds of payments due which I would like to explain and defend.
                        The issue started with my 22/06/07 statement which had Rs 10811.72/- as total amount due, but according to me it was Rs 8594.56/- as total amount due and was paid subsequently.
                        The sale dated: 31/05/07 as first year fee of Rs 1166.67+271.40 was not to be charged as the card was free for life. Secondly on 21/06/07 an interest charge of Rs 779.09/- was levied for cheque bounce and consequently Rs 250/- was also charged as cheque bounce charges. As per my knowledge either of them should have been charged and therefore I paid the cheque bounce charges as well as the amount for which the cheque was bounced Rs 4540.10/-. Therefore if you deduct the above mentioned charges ie: Rs 1166.67+271.40+779.09=2217.16/-needed to be reversed and deducted from Rs 10811.72/-, then the amount due at my end would be Rs 8594.56/- which was paid immediately.
                        Now if you can go through my statement dated:22/07/2007, the payments and other credits show Rs 123621.56/- paid, on the other hand what I was supposed to pay was (Previous Balance of Rs 8594.56 +Current Purchases Rs114500/-)= 123094.56/-.Hence I paid Rs 527.56/-excess. The total amount due as per your statement was Rs 1690.16/-+ Rs 527.56/-Excess in have paid= Rs2217.16/- the amount to be reversed, hence I need not have to pay anything, instead have to get Rs 527.56/- from you which I do not expect.
                        Now what I would like to state now is that I have been the high spending customer with you since 1995 and have almost always made my payments on time, what you have lost is not Rs 2217.16/- but a high spending valued customer and what I have lost is not Rs 527.56/-, but people who valued me as there valuable client and gave me good service. If you can see my records I have made payments in excess of lac or more at one shot, but what disappointed me was after such a long and enduring relationship I was asked to pay the unreasonable charges which I am not interested to pay. More so at the end of my membership tenure the customer care executive was also very rude in solving the issues not that my issue was not resolved but in general. Also I still have your Diners Club membership and if I would have been a proclaimed defaulter or offender you would not have continued with me as your customer with such a high profile card.
                        I hope now the issue would get resolved and I would not get harassed further.

                        I need a loan account statement for last one year i.e. from Feb 2008
                        to Jan 2009. I was informed by your customer care centre that your
                        system doesn't have the option of generating last one year statement.
                        You can only provide for last financial year, ie. uptill March 2008.
                        Why can't you provide the most current statement for one year?

                        I have changed my address but your system o[censored]pdating the address is
                        so cumbersome that i have never got it changed in your system. Why
                        can't I apply for an address change by fax or online?

                        Now, you will send the loan account statement (which is not the
                        latest) on the old address. I requested this statement to be sent to

                        Citibank collections dept calls up from some number which is 66427800 and if i do not pick up my cell phone number they call up on my residence landline number early in the morning at 7.30, 7.45.I think they better check on what timings they are suppose to call up customers and over nad above that they call up and speak to my sister and ask her do you take care of her financial matters, she said yes so when will she make the rest of the payment she said i do not know on thats so then they say that why do you lie early in the morning.Don't give wrong answers.Who the hell is she to talk to my sister like this in first place.

                        How dare CitiBank broadcast an ad on how we should be more conscience on our spending. After misusing/abusing and downright mismanagement of their (OUR) financial security and company earnings they put out an ad on how we the consumers need to be more frugal. It makes me sick. I would rather my tax dollars go to saving companies that are being strong held by unions than saving a bunch of arrogant, delusional, know-it-alls.

                        The pompous over-rated executives that are currently in control of this country need to get a grip on what is real. An ad campaign as simple as “Where’s the beef” sums it all up.

                        I had taken a consumer loan of 17000/- in 2006 for the duration of 8 months which I repaid to the company, despite that they have put my name in the CIBIL, nor did they bothered to contact me for loan clearance certificate, nor do I know my loan no., as they never even bothered to provide me any loan documents.now when contacted them they said they do not have any record in my name when I showed them my pass book of the bank from where there were ECS transaction against loan repayment they said they are not there's.

                        Citibank Credit Card No. 5546 1901 1722 6000 — Fraudulent & unnecessary debit on my card

                        Dear Sir/Madam,

                        I have been facing very bad services from Citibank since the time when I opened my salary account with them. They are trying to make a fraudulant liability on my credit card & planning to recover the unpaid money by form of a direct debit to my salary account, that's the general plan of most of the banks to make fraudulant profit.
                        But I want to make there plan unsuccesfull that's why I have now blocked my credit card by telephonic conversation so that further misuse can be avoided.

                        Now have registered a complaint with citibank for the unnecesary fraudulant international transaction's done on my credit which I am not supposed to pay. There was a total amount of Rs.6705.79 as fraudulant transactions & Rs.4998.33 as the domestic transactions. The amount of Rs.4998.33 is already paid to Citibank last month. The thing is there was an installment amount of Rs.4998.33 for 6months as I have purchased an electronic product from SONY world. Now after completing all the dues of EMI again they keep on charging this month as well.

                        In fact as an accountant I have tallied my transaction of EMI for 6mths and the same details have been attached as an attachment for your reference.

                        Now my question is why again the EMI amounts are raised in the current month statement along with the fraud transactions. Even Citibank does a mistake once, why everytime they make the same mistake on my statement itself? Is it because I am a regular & sincere customer to them.

                        Previously my earned points was reduced from my card, & before that my 4 months back expired card of citibank was generated with an outstanding balance which should not happen at all. I have got every proof of Citibank's inconvenient way of harassing his credit card holders.

                        I have attached the current months transactions as well as my paid EMI details for your reference.

                        Now Citibank has told me to fill up the CDF form & submit it to them by fax on [protected] ext 2222 by putting my reference no.[protected].

                        Kindly advise me what appropriate steps to be taken now in this case.

                        Citibank Charges On Add On Services Without Providing Any Proof Of Documents — CITIBank charge addon services without providing evidential documents

                        I am Manjunath Basappa located in Bangalore and have a credit card from 3 years with CITIBANK. After few months, received an addon service offer i.e Accident Insurance over the phone and I have approved to go ahead. All most 2 years, still I have not received any documents. Later I called Citibank helpline for closing the Citibank credit card, while talking with CITIBank helpline guy, started threatening that if credit card is closed, CITIBank will be adding my name in CIBIL. So that, in feature any loan will not get it. I called CITIBank public relation officer (Lady) in Chennai about this, She took information, that's all no call back to me. So went to CITIBank, MG Road office to complaint and nobody is responded for whole day. In January 2009 received an CITIBank offer for Mediclaim and again approved to go ahead for 4 family members.

                        Again CITIBank has charged Mediclaim charges and followed with CITI Bank from past 4 months. Still nobody is responding to my call. Finally I have told CITIBank people that to remove all add services charges, else CITI liables will not be paid. Ask them remove any penalty until issues are resolved by CITI Bank.

                        Citi Bank Cheque — Didn't receive face value of cheque

                        Hi,

                        I have been cheated by CITIBANK. I have received a CHECK for 509 US $ and deposited the same CHECK in CITIBANK for collection. But they credited only 434 US $ in to my account.

                        I have been asking proper reason for reduction of 75 US $ from the face value of cheque but i am not getting any response from Citi bank. I raised complaint over phone banking customer care representative, over bank manager, and also i raised a complaint through online. But i didn't get my money back and also there is no proper reason for deducting 75USD from my account. Other than this charge they have deducted 250 Rs service charge.

                        Please let me know how can i get my money back.

                        A guy called vipul gupta calls me from from delhi regrding payment of credit card dues, talks in a very condescending manner, arrogant and rude, fixes his own closing dues, and makes disturbing and threatening phone calls.                         I am a customer of citi bank holding credit card #[protected] and loyal customer to them since many years.

                        loan offered by the banks customer care through a phone call stating that i got a preapproved loan top-up while i was regularly paying the installment , only last installment was due to city bank towrds my loan payment.during their approach the marketing people said the last installment from the previous loan which was due is waved off and the top up loan(RS-95000/-) is approved with the 12 emi only where as there is no obligation left in the previous loan , which can authentically be verified through their recording at the time of offer which they keep it as proof.

                        I agreed with payment schedule and i was regularly paying th installment of top-up loan in addition to this i was paying citibank for insurance of the loan.since the day i got the credit card..Out of the 12 EMI i had paid the 10 EMI only 2 emi was to be paid by me ,suddenly i was seroiusly fall ill due to paralysis the same was informed to them by phone to the bank to collect it with a weaks time as grace time on humanitarian basis then i came to know that i have t ,my family member was i touch with them to scrutnize the fact of my illness and the genieuness in paying the installment even after the harrassment i am facing every day by the bank people.

                        I personnally requested the bank official to accept my payment which is due by me i.e 9081x2=18162/-+9000/ towards purchase by credit card only,but refused to accept this amount stating that iout standing is arround 50,000/-inc of preveious paid loan also.

                        On 15th November 2009 I was trying to make some online payment but to my surprise the transactions were denied inspite of my repeated request. Hence, with no other option, I have contacted you Customer Care Executive at 15.30 Hrs. on 15th November 2009 asking the reasons for denied who in turn said that my account is black listed and cann’t be transacted since a cheque issued by me was dishonored by my Bankers on 28th October 2009.



                        I am rather perturbed to receive such information from your executive since I have transacted the following purchases after the date of the so called bouncing of cheque and under the circumstances as to how the following transactions were allowed by your bank:-



                        US Enterprises – 6.11.2009 – Rs. 3, 830/-
                        Sri Sakthi Agencies – 10.11.2009 – Rs. 500/-


                        Having completely upset and lost my prestige to my vendors I feel strongly bring it to your notice that having paid the minimum due amount of Rs. 2, 200/- on 16th October 2009, I sincerely thought of sending some amount with a view to reduce my outstanding balance and hence two cheques bearing No. 546677 and 546679 both dated 26th October for Rs. 20, 000/- each were sent to you after having ascertained my sound bank balance. To my dismay, I was informed by your bankers that one cheque for Rs.20, 000/- has been honoured while the other cheque for Rs. 20, 000/- has been dishonored. I was rather shocked to accept this statement and thus contacted my bankers and learnt that it was due to a technical reason the cheque was dishonored; and a separate communication from my bankers will follow soon to substantiate my claim.



                        As I am one such client not looking for due dates to send the minimum due amount as it would be evident from my track record of payment transacted to you over the years, I have sent a another cheque for Rs. 24, 000/- bearing no. 618391 dated 12th November 2009 you should have been received on or before 14th November 2009.



                        With all the above, if my credit card is banned for further transaction, I cann’t apprehend any valid reasons for the drastic action taken by you to trounce my reputation, because of a cheque was dishonored, which is in no way amounts to violation of rules and regulation as it was sent only in the larger interest of you and me to keep the balance to a acceptable terms.



                        Under the circumstances it is clear that you and your staff as handled my case without giving due weight-age to my credential and hence I strongly felt that there is no need to continue any further relation with you as far as the credit card is concerned.



                        You may therefore like to close my account as on date so that I can destroy my credit card under my own authority.



                        Lastly I thank and you staff for all that cooperation and pattern age extended to me as card holder over the years and request you to abstain from high handling any other card holders who are very sincere and maintain good track record of transaction atlease in the future.

                        Over the yrs I have noticed that the due date of payment is gradually being brought forward by the bank .
                        Earlier it used to be on or 25th of a month giving me about a months advance notice .
                        Now a days it is brought forward to 10th of a month or even as early as 5th of a month . This means i get hardly a fortmights advance intimation .

This policy was endorsed to me by Citibank through Mr Prem of citibank Chennai with a promise that each year my policy will be renewed automatically when it is due. This month the policy was due on 28th March. Despite many reminders to Mr Prem and despite all his promises and reassurances I am aggrieved to say that so far the policy has not been renewed (I can forward the reassuring emails from prem). I contacted Mr prem mobile no [protected] yesterday and reminded him about the policy payment on which he came out with the excuse that I do not have sufficient credit limit. I even requested him that he could get my policy payment terms changed to monthly instead of annually and affect transaction of monthly installment for the month of March. He has promised me to do the same but so far nothing has happened.
                        I am really upset and aggrieved and feel I have been duped by this man Prem who claims to be a manager in Citibank. At the time of soliciting this policy to me he was full of promises that he would provide me seamless service and Citibank will take responsibility of annual premium payment of this policy.
                        Well.. I guess I have been taken for a royal ride and have learnt a lesson never to trust anyone from Citibank. I am writing this to request you to give me an explanation as to why I should continue my relationship with citibank for such a poor customer service as well false promised given to me by one of your representative that amount to cheating and false soliciting of an inferior product.
                        I have been a very loyal citibank customer with an excellent credit rating. if this kind of treatment is meted to a customer like me then I wonder what might be happening to other customers.
                        Please note if I don’t receive a proper reply and an explanation from you then I will be constrained to discontinue my relationship with Citibank and will not hesitate to share my experience on various open fora.

                        Hi all beware of such calls regarding credit cards. I also received same call from Citi for Jet airways platinum CC.Info given to me is i will b getting free oneway domestic air ticket. Ticket is free but just basic charges not totally free, fuel charges and service tax etc will be charge and that wil be more than 50% of your ticket fares then what is the need to purchase this CC and pay Rs 2500 per year.
                        And again If this call is from sales department of some third party, then how they are suppose to get my Account information,this means Citi is leaking account info.

                        Citibank Credit Card — Six Time amount credit in my Statement

                        I am holding Citi Bak Credit Card and i have made one payment To Idea Cellular Ltd Rs. 1058.00 . But I found Rs. 1058.00 Citi Bank Debited Six Times in may statement on dt. 30/12/2010 and then again Credited Three time on 03/1/2011.

                        I have conected to their call center. They say that they will check with Marchent Idea Cellular Ltd. In this regards we also checked with Marchent Idea Cellular. The informed thet they have received the payment only one time . They are ready to give clean chit. But Citi Bank is not respondinding to our complaint.

                        Please suggest me shall i pay the execces money or hold the Rs .2116.00 after the payment of rest amount from my statement. Please also guid next step if they do not respond to my complaints

                        Citibank Ltd — Cannot Change Bill Date

                        Dear Compliant Respect,

                        I have had many calls made to Citibank to change my Bill date of my Credit Card Account as i have changed my Job and i recieve cheques now on the 8th of every month for the last few months i have been calling the bank and telling them not to charge me a fine which they are not as i am not able to pay by the 10 or the 11th of the month as the cheque takes 3days to credit in the account. However they are not able to change the bill date to change my due date and my credit report is getting bad and also my interest rate is increasing which they cannot change it back to the earlier.
                        I am really dissatisfied with CITIBANK the way my account has been handled and every month they spend money to call me to check if i am pay which i am by after i cross my due date . "Please save my time and your too CITIBANK".

I have been receiving several communications, including Legal Notices and threatening calls from CitiBank’ Recovery Agency pertaining to Recovery of Outstanding Payments. To my Knowledge I have no pending dues with CitiBank and if any, they must be arbitrary in nature.

                          I had stopped using My credit Card from September 2005 onwards and conveyed the closure of my account during Meeting with respective Officer (Mr. Sunil Verma at A-25, Mohan Co-operative, Industrial Estate, IInd Floor, New Delhi) in the Month of April 2006.

                          I hereby request you to take the matter appropriately.

                          All you have to do is excerise your rights under the 2001 consumer protection act not to be contacted concerning the matter ever again. When they call ask for their name, then tell them this "I too am recording this phone call, and under the 2001 consumer protection act Im requesting that you do not contact me in any form concerning this matter ever again, you will recieve this request in writing in a few days, thank you." Then hang up and send them the same thing on paper. Make sure you keep a copy and send it certified mail so they will have to sign for it. And you will not be harrassed anymore. IF they continue, you may file charges but its doubtful you will be bothered anymore. This works with ANY lending agency and or collection agencys, only BANKS are exempt.

                            In citibank site for suvidha account they are giving below facility.Till now i felt this is one of the best facility citibank have given compared to other banks.But now citibank have started to charge for this transaction as well as there are lot of service charges added from july.
                            Free Electronic Funds Transfer: Using Citibank Online, you can transfer funds across cities directly in accounts held in participating banks.

                            So Be Careful to open an account in citibank as they charging 250 rs If average monthly relationship value goes below Rs 10000.In SBI i think its 1000 or less than that.

                                Citibank has a tie up with BSLI and they offer their credit card customers to purchase insurance policies from birla sunlife and citibank makes the initial premium payments on behalf of the customer.the customer pays the Premium amount in EMI without any interest.
                                I have joined an organization in 2007 and i did my tax planning perfectly for that financial year[protected].An agent of citibank called me everyday for this plan.He insisted me on the plan and said me that i can go for it and it will benefit my tax purpose for the financial year[protected].I started making payments thru my citi credit card from april against this plan named "Dream Plan".However i got a premium recpt certificate stating that i made my 1st premium payment on 19th feb 2008.When i contacted my agent, he said that he will provide me with another recpt certificate stating that i made my 1st payment on april.But now when i'm trying to contact my agent, he is untraceable.His cell phone no.is always switchd off and the alternate nos. are never reachable..he was a citibank broker and have played a foul game...
                                now this plan wont be of ne help to me for this financial yr...cos i need to submit my actual investmnt details before 15th feb of every year in my offc...

                                I would request all my friends who wants to invest their money dont beleive at all on the Citibank Agents .
                                They will help u in paying the First year payment to BSLI and the amount will be deducted from your credit card account for the First year and from the second year it will be converted into the standing instructions as monthly.
                                I[censored] are a new customer and dont have any idea abt the ULIP, please consult any friends who have invested previosly but dont ever i repeat dont ever belive on the citibank Agents. They dont provide u the full information.
                                Now let me exlpain my case : -
                                the agent told me that i[censored] invest 60144/- every year in BSLI, u will be getting certain amount after 20 years, they will show u the high end figure . U must know one thing the poilcy terms continues for 5, 10, 15, 20, 25 years. They wont tell u abt the charges i.e policy charges, mortality charges, surrender charges . And they will insist u for a longer term do u know the reason for this, Higher the policy term higher is thier commission . for 60000/-, 20 years the comission comes approxomaitely as 24000/- . For the first three years If i pay the amount of 180000/- my fund value after 3 years is 145000/-. do u know why there is such charges, becoz of the policy cherges, mortality charges (which wil continue the for whole ploicy life term), and also the commission of the agent . Now after the 3 years i[censored] dont want to continue u r in loss so u have to conitune for next 3 - 4years to make the adjustment o[censored]r fund valus which u invest.I[censored] go for a longer then no doubt u will get a more amount but u do it with a certain dis-satisfaction.
                                I[censored] give a complaint on the BSLI or the Citibank, they have a good reason for both of them .
                                BSLI would tell : "Sir we have given u all the documents and we gave u free look period of 15 days u must have checked it".
                                Citibank Agents or managers : "Sir I Agree that my colleague did nt gave u all the information I am really sorry From the next time she wont do like that'.
                                But One thing is for sure No one neither BSLI nor Citibank will help u reagarding this matter .beacuse they have a mutualu understanding between them No actions will be taken against the Agents. No one will do any thing for the customer beacause, Citibank agent will get the comission and the BSLI has got a cutomer for such an amount . And they know very well that these guys cannot do any thing beacause we are a part of the company and company will close this matter after certain period of time for their reputation.

                                So guys i[censored] have fallen in a well, just try to come up by regularily investing ur amount until it gets balanced with the amount u invest, and after that only u try to withdraw the amount and i[censored] have the patience to continue with the longer terms then there i no doubt u will get teh good amount..beacuse whatever u invest u will get that much only .
                                I am the latest victim of BIRLA + CITI fraud.But i think i can still pulled it off. I would like to know how to cancel the plan immediately.

                                This has reference to my Birla Sun life Insurance policy no[protected] which was purchased using this Citibnak Card. This policy was endorsed to me by Citibank through Mr Prem of citibank Chennai with a promise that each year my policy will be renewed automatically when it is due. This month the policy was due on 28th March. Despite many reminders to Mr Prem and despite all his promises and reassurances I am aggrieved to say that so far the policy has not been renewed (I can forward the reassuring emails from prem). I contacted Mr prem mobile no [protected] yesterday and reminded him about the policy payment on which he came out with the excuse that I do not have sufficient credit limit. I even requested him that he could get my policy payment terms changed to monthly instead of annually and affect transaction of monthly installment for the month of March. He has promised me to do the same but so far nothing has happened.
                                I am really upset and aggrieved and feel I have been duped by this man Prem who claims to be a manager in Citibank. At the time of soliciting this policy to me he was full of promises that he would provide me seamless service and Citibank will take responsibility of annual premium payment of this policy.
                                Well.. I guess I have been taken for a royal ride and have learnt a lesson never to trust anyone from Citibank. I am writing this to request you to give me an explanation as to why I should continue my relationship with citibank for such a poor customer service as well false promised given to me by one of your representative that amount to cheating and false soliciting of an inferior product.
                                I have been a very loyal citibank customer with an excellent credit rating. if this kind of treatment is meted to a customer like me then I wonder what might be happening to other customers.
                                Please note if I don’t receive a proper reply and an explanation from you then I will be constrained to discontinue my relationship with Citibank and will not hesitate to share my experience on various open fora.
                                It would ne nice if you can assign a customer service representative to talk to me on my mobile no [protected] and also enquire into this unpleasant experience that I had to undergo.

                                Citibank BSLI policy is absolutely a fraud... Please do not fall prey. I had great regards to Citibank but its now down the drain.
                                They just push to each other when there is a problem and say they are not responsible.
                                This is the worst policy you can think of - both in terms of fund performance and also their customer service is just pathetic.
                                They have no intension to serve customers

                                  In Feb, I underpaid my credit card bill by about 700 Rs inadvertently. Recently when I checked my bills, I saw they had levied Rs 850 as late fine (for 18 days @3.5% monthly ) and 12.5% service tax on this late fee = a total of about 960 Rs on a late payment of <700 -which is more than 150% pm or 1800% per year!!!

                                  On talking to the customer care, I was told that they had levied late fine on the Total amount of Feb bill (44300 approx of which I had paid 43700 by the due date). I do not know till when the case will be resolved- given Citibank's image, but I wonder if people had made trasactions of lakhs of Rs, and underpaid by 10 Rs- how much late fine would they be paying !!!
                                  am requesting to you mail or send my credit card statment.Since last three -four months i have not received statment as well as i have not made full payment.now i would like to pay all your dues so please arrange to waive my late payment charges & intrest.At last i have made payment of 2980/- on 15 th Ocober.
                                  One of your exucutive, MR... whom collected my cheque (Axis Bank 73817x of above said amt.has promise me for above said matter but after the receipt of payment he had not concated me yet.

But unfortunately the people I coordinated with while submitting the forms for the claim have all left and I do not have any contact no. of the resources in company.                                       There is some fraud done with my credit card 4386xxxxxxxx6006 of citi bank. Some transactions of about Rs 45000 was done on 7th April, out of this only Rs 13000 was used for filling petrol within 5 min. And at that time I was out of station, I was in my home town. I have my tickets with me.When I return Gurgaon on 8th April and check my account online, then only I came to know that some fraud was done on my credit card. Then immediatley, I blocked my credit card. But now bank is asking for money that I never used. So please assist me in this case.

                                        This is B.Srikanth . I have opened an ERA account (account no : [protected]) and a suvidha account (account no : [protected]) with citibank in 2006 . Suvidha account is opened because we were told we cannot open ERA account alone . In 2007, my company has informed us that citibank ERA accounts are no longer needed since reimbursements are made to our regular salary accounts . Hence we were asked to take our choice on closing the accounts . I havent closed my accounts in good-will . But later i got a statement saying, since regular salary credits are not happening to my suvidha account, i will be charged if i dont maintain a minimum balance . Then i decided to close both (ERA and Suvidha) accounts as am not using them . I submitted a request letter for the same in the Begumpet branch office, Hyderabad . The accounts were closed and, for the balance in my ERA account (939 RS), a DD was issued on the name B SRIKANTH ERA . Since the DD is account payee, other banks are not accepting the DD as "ERA" is suffixed with my actual name (B SRIKANTH) . So i went to the begumpet branch office again and submitted another request saying i require a DD with the name corrected so that it is account payable . I have submitted this request to a lady named "Bhavani" in the month of March 2008 . Since i couldnt get the DD until now, i have called up the customer care on 19th June 2008, summarising the details . The person attending the call said, she has raised a complaint (with request no : 69634) mentioning the details and told that i will be getting a call with the required information on 21st June 2008 on my mobile : [protected] (this mobile number different from what is present in the records, so i gave the number to the lady) . Not recieving any call on the said date, i have called up the customer care today on 23rd June 2008 . The lady initially said that she couldnt get any information on my submitted request (request for issuing DD with name correction) in the Begumpet branch office . Initially she suggested me to go to branch office and enquire, but i told her that i have already visited 3 times the branch office and i couldnt get proper response . Also i told her that a lady named "Bhavani" has taken the written request from me . So the lady said she has updated the account asking required information from the Begumpet branch office and she told that i will be recieving a call from the customer care on 26th June . I have then mailed the citibank through email . This complaint (reference no : 7691590) got escalated to some officer by name Ms Garima Narang, who i remember is the head for Hyderabad region of Citibank . She had contaced me on 2nd July on my mobile . She told me that probably the DD that i returned for correction and there after reissue, was somehow misplaced in the transit and she asked me to give an instruction on a 100rs bond paper saying i require a new DD . She agreed to send the bond paper with the matter typed in the sheet along with her execute the next day . The executive has come to me but without the bond paper . So i told him that the officer told that she will send the bond paper also with him . The executive told that he will contact the officer and get back to me . This has happened 7 days ago i.e on 3rd July . I havent heard from the officer or the executive until now . I have just now i.e on 10th July called up the customer care on phone and quoted the complaint no (69634) . The lady answering the call repeated the same story, saying she will enquire the internal department for more information and call me back .
                                        Am mailing you this because every time i call/email customer care or i walk into the branch office i always endup unanswered . I have explained my grievances in the branch office as well, but am not sure if they have really made a note of it . The DD amount is very less, but why are people reckless at the services they are supposed to provide is my question . May be they are enjoying denying what they are supposed to do, but this kind of attitude will bring them down whether it be personally, or business wise or in one's emotions . Anyways, with a kind of hope, am mailing for the first time to the consumer forum . So lemme see if i get any justification this time .
