I had a credit card of citibank and in june 2003, I was offered a structured payment plan by the bank which was accepted by me. Accordingly I made the payment as offered by the bank and agreed by me. The bank has promised in his offer letter that the total amount of dues in respect of my card shall stand satisfied and settled in full and final. Bank further stated that no further dues in respect of the said card shall remain payable to the bank.Bank also agreed that all legal proceedings pertaining to my card shall be withdrawn by the citibank .

Now, when I applied for loan in the state bank of India my case was rejected on the pretext that there are some dues of citibank pending against me.Whereas, as per my record I had made all the payment through cheque.From last three four weeks I have been running from pillor to post in the Delhi office of citibank but no positive response is being given by them. On the other hand no bank is giving me loan.I am unnecessary being harrassed by the bank without a fault of mine.

    Dear Reader,

    Could someone please let me know an e-mail id or contact information of the CITIBANK LOAN department head for india. There has been a big goofup going on with my homeloan account. Citibank says my homeloan amount is supposed to be 34, 000 from april 2007. But still am getting SMS's and Citibank letters with EMI as 26, 000/-

    When contacted to CITIBANK execitive, he said the system is not yet updated.

    What can be done in this regard. Has anyone faced any similar issue and got a solution for the same.

    I have also faced a similar problem with citibank.
    I have been paying them the increased EMI since November 2008.
    I have also submitted the required forms.
    However these new details were not updated in the loan account records until April 2009.
    Instead of repeated follow up though phones and emails I did not get any satisfactory reason why it took them 6 long months to update their records although they have been processing the post dated cheques with increased amount during this period.
    However, when I started sending them emails they updated the account records and apologised for the delay although I still don't know the reason for the delay.

    My experience ith them is making calls to customer care doesn't help because citi customer care officials never give any satisfactory reply.
    They take complaints seriously only when any mail is sent to [protected]@citicorp.com.
    They can't ignore complaints sent to them through emails because in case they don't respond you have written proof which you can use in case you want to take the matter to ombudsmen.

    Citibank — Housing loan

    Hello Sir,

    I had submitted for a housing loan request with Citibank for buying a flat in OMR. The loan request was sanctioned and the bank had released an initial amount of 2.6 lacs as per the release schedule. The release schedule is such that an amount of around 2.6 to 3 lacs was to be released in every schedule. The schedule period being 3 months.

    The bank had released 2.6 lacs to the builder as per the first schedule. But the subsequent schedule amounts were never released. For the first schedule period which is of 3 months duration the EMI was Rs. 2400 per month which the bank is paid through ECS.
    However as per the release schedule the subsequent amount (i.e. another 2.6 lacs) got accumulated and the bank increased the EMI to Rs.4800 which is sum of interest for first 2.6 lacs and the principal of the same.
    For the third release as per schedule another 2.6 lacs got added and the EMI is now around Rs.9600 per month (which is sum of interest for first 2.6 lacs and the principal)

    I had to cancel the apartment booking due to some reasons and I had informed the bank about this. I had also asked them to reduce the EMI amount so that it remains constant. But the bank is not doing it. They have been increasing the EMI steadily by 2400 every 3 months and now I pay around 9600 every month which is not bearable. I have made repeated requests but the bank is not relenting and in a couple of months the EMI will increase to around Rs.11000 as per the schedule.
    Even the builder had given a latter stating that the amount will be refunded in the month of November.

    Please help on how to handle this?
    Citi Bank Home saver housing loan.

    I Have availed this loan, They told me that it well help me clear the loan earlier, If you deposit some money in the current account, and you are eligible to earn an interest on that money, That interest will be adjusted towards the principal, so that you can re-pay the loan, instead of reducing the the principal, they will add the amount to the principal.

    They will issue a statement principal paid, interest paid, and bank balance, these figures never matches.

      MISCOMMITMENT

      I HAD RECIEVED A CALL FROM THIER COLLECTIONS DEPT ON 12 DEC 08 FOR A SCHEME IN WHICH CERTAIN AMOUNT WOULD BE REVERSED OFF AND I WOULD HAVE TO PAY THE REMINDER AS AS MINIMUM AMOUNT DUE.(FORTUNATELY I HAVE THE RECORDING ).THEY COLLECTED THE AMOUNT OF 7900K APROX PROMISING THE REST TO BE WAIVED OFF.SINCE THEN I HAVE BEEN TALKING TO THEM, WRITING MAILS, BUT NO USE NO BODY SEEMS TO BE INTERESTED AND UNNECCSARY CHARGES ARE BEING PUT ON MY CARD...

      I had never taken a citi credit card and, I am getting constant reminder and calls to "pay " my bills.

      For your info I had never opened any account with you .

      Apparently your DSAs have forged document after a ID theft. Please investigate and take the DSA or whoever involved to task.

      prove me that I had used your card . Show the application form I had filled up (send me a a scanned pdf) . Also send me signatures on merchant's tickets where, you claim, I had done transcaction.

      If you show appropriate documents and convince me that I have done those transactions, I will clear your dues. Now I am staying in CANADA/US for last 3 years. So please e mail me scanned documents to this ID.

      Else please stop harassing me .

      Even i am getting same kind of mails on my gmail id. I have never owned a citibank card or had any kind of transactions with them. Really frustrated with the statements from past 1.5 years. Kindly let me know what legal actiona i can take against CITI bank .Can i directly send a mail with all email proofs to RBI the head bank of india ?

Pundir and so many times my family told them that N S Pundir was on rent & he left this house last year. But again & again every mornig boys are coming & asking for loan payment.         For the credit card details given below I want to raise a complaint and want a quick resolutions for the same:

        Credit card no: XXXXXXXXXX4004
        Name: Benedict Cardoza

        After request for cancellation of the credit card in 2005, I was sent a letter saying that there would not be any service charges and the card is FREE FOR LIFE. I have never used this card for any transactions or purchases.

        And to add to this I am been sent bills with service charges and late payments for something I am not using or does not own.

        I am tired following up with the customer service associate via phone where the IVR does not have proper options for this query and other executives are rude in handling the complaint. Also there is not resolution to the problem via email which i had sent to citibank.

        The service charges are approximately Rs 125 per month with the late payment charges of Rs 600 being levied everymonth for the credit card which was never used. This is ridiculous and I want to take action against citibank for harassment.

          The issue is that i am not going to pay any amount because of your flaws in service. I was supposed to be received a statement to pay my bill. which wasn't sent to me until there was a request by me to send a duplicate bill. The request was sent after your collection agency people called me and asked me about the payment. After that i called your customer service that i have not received any statement by your side, they said we will send the statement ASAP and you can make the payment then. I also clarified that i am not going to pay anything extra in-terms of late payment charges or any interest because of your service flaws, the Customer Care Executive said it would be fine and i can make the payment once i receive the statement. He also told me that an Alert was sent to me on the 12th of November for my payment reminder. I also told him that I was not in Pakistan from the 5th of November to the 24th of November and due to our relations with Pakistan the International Roaming was not working there so i didn't get the alert. Another thing was that My Email Address was also not entered correctly in your records, again that is not my problem. So any unnecessary charges on my account should be waived off.

          my compalin is different then above. I have received the credit card on march 2008, and on april 2008 i received a call from citi bank for giving me mediclaim insurance free, as i hold a citi bank credit card, so i gave my family to them on phone. I received a policy in June2008, then i received a additional amount in statement of Rs. 9000/- (I dont know the exact amount), i made a complain to customer care to cancel the insurance and send me the fresh bill for which they agreed. But i didnt received, still i paid whatever was the shopping amount. But next month i received the statement with showing previous balance. I kept complaining and no results to it. Now I have stopped using the credit card and again called up to customer care and now they are saying me that they got a complain call from me on june 2008, and after that they tried to call me but my cell was not reachable and now they cannot cancell the policy.
          If anybody is there in citibank who can take a initiative and look after this matter i will be highly oblige.

            I have taken top-up personal loan form CITI Bank. The Citi Bank was debited double EMI on dated 01/06/2006 and 08/06/2006. Due to above reason one cheque bounced. I make several times complain for reverses the cheque bounce charges. But they are not give proper response.
            The facts of case is below mentioned.

            Your City Bank have been debited EMI as follows:-

            I am enclosing herewith scanned copy of my Bank Statement in which your EMI debited.
            My banker also debited Rs. 79.00 as cheque return charges by your mistake. and your bank also debited Rs. 280.90 as a cheque return charges. It is very clear that is fully negligence of your bank

              This is regarding my personal loan I had taken from Your Citifinance office at Trivandrum-Kerala I have been a defaulter of the loan due to some personal problem- I was cheated by one of my friend and I have stopped to my Bank operations.

              My EMI is RS.2808/-Last year I was instructed your executive do not present my ecs to bank .and collect the payment by 1st of every month., but you are keep on presenting ecs on 5th and 12th of every month .Today one executive from New Delhi (Phone No.[protected]named Mr, Shio Babu phoned me to remit bouncing charge of Rs. 225/-+Rs.225/-(presenting 5th and 12th of every month) Your collecting 196% interest/ Charges P.A ie Rs.2808/-of EMI Your are Charging Rs. 450 for the last 12 months .While collecting my emi of Rs. 2808/-every month, your executive did not inform me the bouncing charges are going to debit my account.(Rs.4725/-). Please consider my case and waive off at least 50%.
              I have already remitted Rs.2712/-for bouncing charges. Please waive off and Rs. 2013/- and clear my account, and avoid me from your executive keep on calling

              In future do not present ECS, please come and collect the amount, otherwise I will remit the amount in your office .

              I am an account holder bearing A/C No. 14580659 since last one decade. I have been given top up loand so many time taking my repayment track into consideration. Unfortuantely our employer transfered our salary account to SBH from ICICI Bank, due that reason one cheque was dishonoured. Immediately yr concern rang and told they are representing the same on 7th and asking me to keep the balance. It was never happend during the tenure of the loand. Immediately I reacted for the same and it was honoured.

              Now I wish to submit, I am applying for house. for that purpose I approached yr branch and requested to give the payment track. They blently told that I have to Rs. 250 for payment and track and R. 225/- for cheque bounce charges. May I request u to kindly nstruct to yr concern to waive the cheque bounce charges and issue me payment track, for which of action I shall be grateful to u, Sir .

                This is to bring into your notice that i am a citibank Credit Card holder my name is gaurav kasliwal and was using this card since last September 2006.
                now my actual problem starts in year 2008 in the month of january, when I didnt received my bill statements on time, even non deleivery of bill statements ... which imposed some charges called late payment fees on my account .
                My last usage is of rs. 675 in the month of jan 2008 there after i didnt get the bill which i complained on call center so many times ... finally when I called in the month of May to knwo the exact amount outstanding ... your executive told me that " there is some 2175 amount left to clear all outstanding... I requested this executive that out of these charges only 675 is actuall usage and this is not fair why you are charging me so high ... 2175 is full of only late paymnet fees and Rs. 675 is the only actual usage, why should I have to pay all late payment charges ... he agrees on the same and confirmed me that ok " i will waive off the payment fees for last month you need to pay only 1875... which he typed in his account also .. you can see in your systems ... which I asked him to write in his system for any further communications .
                then as i promiced this gentleman I paid 1875 thru chq and was in impression that my all dues are clear which was not clear as this executive cheated me and not posted the waiver amout ... hence it always showed outstanging by Rs 300 ... and on month on month basis this amount became 2831.33... which i had received thru a letter for recovery yesterday .

                1. Now my question is when i can pay 1875 for final clearing of outstanding why cant i pay rs 2175 at that time ... answer is:- As per your executive who promised me to post the waiver and confirmed me that sir your final amount is only 1875 after paying 1875 your all outstnading will be nil, so I paid only 1875.
                2. Secondly Why i had received these types of mailers for recovery on time and on my provided address correctly ... while bill statements never comes... which is the real cause of all this problem..
                3. i need to know my actual leagal rights for this type of case where there is no actual usage and customer is paying only late payment fees ... even if your call center misguides a customer just for the matter of collection purpose. after that they actually not posts the waiver or promiced amount.

                This is my last Email or any call to call center because now i am tired of doing all this ... Even if there is no option left please let me know I will pay entire amount to clear my outstanding... but please firstly check all your systems and my complaints ... it was not my fault i paid 1875 for clearing all the dues as inf given by your executive only. he categorily rights 1875 as the final amount outstanging which I paid thru cheque... please understand my point of view if he given me amount 2175 i can pay that much also to avoid this kind of trouble, but he assured me saying that sir you need to pay only 1875. you also told me that how much is this fair my last usage is only 675 ... after that I had already paid 1875 and now there is a bill of 2831.33 again. I was really not informed about all this matter. yesterday only I got a letter from agency saying recovery of amt 2831.33 ... then only I came to know about all this case...
                you are requested to please consider my case and get me rid off all these hassels which became pain for my and my parents too.

                  My Self Sarang Medhekar, As profession i am computer parts dealer live in Thane. I am having citibank credit card since 2 years, my card no. is [protected]. My issue is on March 2008 someone use my card through online to Radlabs movie. Purchase of tickets around Rs. 4000/-, but i am not done this transaction. About this transaction i am know in May 2008, because i am not getting any statement. when i am know about the faked transaction first i am give request to citibank phone officer for close my card transaction. Before two days citibank send me new card with above mentioned card no., after that citibank officer told me if your card is misused then send us a CDF form & he told me i am sending u the form, after long time i am not getting any CDF form, But i am regular pay my outstanding except my misused transaction as per telecommunication with citibank officer.
                  every time citibank officer told me ur issue is pending so we are giving you a temporary credit, On October 2008 i am get CDF from from Citibank Website, then i am fax CDF form to Citibank, Then citibank officer told me ur issue is closed, then i am ask for my recent outstanding with confirmation from citibank officer i am make my whole recent outstanding but on next month of November suddenly citibank citialert SMS comes in my mobile your outstanding amount is around Rs. 8000/-, actually i am not doing any transaction on my card. because i am cut my credit card. From Citibank i am take Rs. 1, 00, 000/- Draft for my requirement this draft EMI is Rs. 3565 it's my actual due on every month that i am only paying.
                  When i am talk with citibank officer for my Rs.8000 outstanding they told me it's ur late payment & Interest charges. but actually i am make my recent outstanding due with the confirmation from citibank officer, but i don't know about this charges.
                  Above is details of my issue.
                  Still i am not getting any Physical Statement from more than 6 months, Many Time i am Confirm my Address, actually except statement i am getting all the letters from Citibank, then why i am not get any statement. Therefore i am make payment of my EMI, now from citibank officer i am mentally harass. please solve my problem.

                  Complaint against CITI BANK for voilating the basic banking policies.

                  It has been more than a year that I have stopped using my Indian Oil Credit Card Number: [protected], I had a salary account with Citi Bank, but later my bank decided to shift our salary accounts to a different bank. But Citi bank continues to sent me statements for non usage and is charging me unncesary interest on the oustanding balance. How can any bank only depend on the statements, if their customer has such a huge oustanding balance on the credit card. What are you waiting for...Every bank policy says, in case the customer has a huge outstanding balance, he is liable to receive COLLECTION CALLS, and me as a customer has not received any such CALLS, from December 2012 till December 2013 I have only received 2 CALLS, 1st from a Customer Service Representative named 'Pankaj' who informed me about the oustanding balance on the credit card, i was stunned and very upset because Citi bank just gets up on fine day to inform their customer that there is around 40, 000/- oustanding balance that also after months i.e in 1st week of June 2012, that time only I had informed the Rep to have their senior management who has powers to take decision call me ASAP, but i never received any such calls, and 2nd CALL from Customer Service Representative named 'Jasmine' on July 25, 2012 to update the mobile number & the biggest joke I received the call on the same mobile number. It is very shameful for a reputed bank like you voilating the basic banking policies, let me remind you once again I have'nt received any COLECTION CALLS nor I am receiving any COLLECTION CALLS, and you are guys are charging me interest, service tax & god knows what not on the oustanding balance. Dont even think I am going to pay for your MISTAKE.                     This complain is regarding Citibank personal load department, who has taken 2 excess EMI from my bank a/c through ECS. And doesn't have any answer, why this has happened.

                    Till August 2008, my loan installment was going through salary deduction, as my company Capgemini had a tie up with citibank. But in August 2008, I left Capgemini and joined some other company...where this tie up was not there, so I paid Sept and Oct EMI through DD, by going to their collection branch personally in Pune, and same time I started the process for ECS with my HDFC bank a/c. I was told by their executive that same will be active by Nov, so from Nov 2008 my EMI will start through ECS from my HDFC bank a/c...it didnt happened and I got a call from bank asking to pay the EMI manually again in Nov end...I told them, that I will send a DD to them. On 3rd Dec, I made a DD and sent the same to citibank bangalore office, given by executive to me.

                    But I was surprised to see that, ECS has also started from 1st Dec and in Dec 2008 itself, Citibak has taken 3 EMI from my HDFC Bank a/c through ECS, and one EMI i sent them through DD. So totally 4 EMI are taken from citibank in DEC 2008, while due were only 2.

                    Now when asking the same through customer care, they are asking me my bank details and all, which is already there with bank. So don't understand how they withdrawn the money from my bank without my bank information, which they are asking me again and again and not providing me any reason why they have taken 4 EMI from my a/c...

                    Even after repeated emails, asking same, there is no proper reply...I am thinking now to approach consumer court...also to report the same in Pune mirror also, so that everybody is aware how Citibank operates and what kind of services they provides...,

                    sir i have taken a loan from Fullerton India Limited last year and after 6 months i applied for another loan which amounts Rs 40000 & Rs 25000.respectively. I am paying Rs1995 & Rs1255 per month as EMI through ECS it amounts total Rs 3250 . But in November they have debitted Rs4250 from my account.7 days latter they have returned the excess ammount.They have not still informed me I come to know when I update my pass book. Now I am worried that if it occurs again.please suggest me what shall i do now.Should I stop the ECS?
                    I am harrassed continuously by citibank recovery persons. since I had paid the ECS money when my business was very good and without break. Once I went to citifinance bank, bhandup, to topup the account they buljabraly made topup payment. and told that they wont clear the account and will charge interest on 32% p.a. So, I therefore top up the amount of Rs. 14, 000/- And thereafter the story begins.
                    But now at this time I am not able to pay the ECS regularly. So, I therefore want to settle this account as soon as possible. Since this executive keep me calling.
                    Pls. get me a way out of this problem.

                      I hold two citibank credit card ([protected] & [protected]) and my usual payment due date is around 16th of every month. I usually drop the cheques everymonth in a manner so that they get cleared on every payment due date. But surprisingly the reminder calling system (as the Citibank name so) from various franchisies under Citibank start calling me as soon as the statement is generated i.e. almost 20 days before. That's not an issue though. The real issue is they call everyday unless and until the due date arives and they have the information of payment clearance. It is much more annyoing to note that everytime a new executive from their end start asking the same questions and I am bound to reply the same answer. Just think about the stupidity! Further these disturbs daily works a lot. Think, when I am at my boss's chamber, the bloody call rings up, and so many matters of such annyoances.

                      I lodged so many complaints through email and over phone times without number, but no solution till date except bluff & assurances.

                      I need help to guide me properly on how to stop such irresponsible disturbing calls.

                      I too face the same problems including the fact that repeated complaints to CitiBank Customer Care only increases the frequency of such calls. It seems that Customer Care is ahnd-in-glove with these Collection Agents who adopt any unfair, illegal and unlawful tactics to frighten the customer into paying the amount demanded by them.

                      RBI too is tooth-less and are totally incapable of taking any action against such powerful Bank lobby although these Banks are operating in India and literally bleeding and cheating the Indian public and stashing away this illegal money in other countries (in this case USA).

                      Govt. of India as well as their various agencies like RBI. Finance Ministry and others are mere silent spectators and maybe in the payroll of such Foreign Banks. Nothing else explains the damn care attitude of these foreign Banks. They know very well that nobody in India can do anything to them
                      I have exactly the same problem. Citibank irritates me twice everyday with payment reminders. I also have two citibank cards and I pay by net banking. Till date i have always cleared their dues. I have never been a defaulter. I keep saying everyday that I know my due date and there is no need to remind me anymore but still they keep calling me twice everyday. My due day is 12th of every month and statement is generated around 20th of previous month. They start calling me from around 25th of the previous month. This is really very irritating as they even call my landline residence number when they cant reach my mobile. Inspite of several emails, calls and complains it has not stopped. I advice everyone to stay away from Citibank and recommend against using their service.

                          I told several times that I will pay any amount if I really transact with the card and also requested to depute their executive to sort out the issue but they did not respond.

                          3. On 24 March 2012 I made the following payments through my internet banking:-

I detected this mistake on receipt of your bill for the period 19 March 2012 to 18 April 2012 for the card ending 0476.

                          5. I spoke to your customer care executive named Mr. SomNath on 20 April at 1550hrs vide request no. 8138. He appreciated the problem and promised to transfer extra amount from card no. 0476 to card no1004 within next 72 hrs. On enquiring whether any penalty has been charged on my bill of Rs 12, 165.50 which has been erroriously paid to card no. 0476, he confirmed that penalty has been charged. On my request to reverse the penality, he regretted that it cannot be reversed. I have to humbly submitted that error in making three payments amounting to Rs. 20, 448.32 (Rs. 4141.41+ Rs.12, 165.50 + Rs. 4141.41) on card no. 0476 against payment of Rs. 4141.41 was due to erratic functioning of internet banking . I had full intentions of makings payment for both the cards well before its due date and as such above payments have been received in your bank. It may not justified to charge any penalty from me. You can check my track record that I have never defaulted in making payment to clear your bills well before due date. Hope you will not create any bitter feeling with your rigid attitude as I have been your customer for the last 20 years. You can have your special consideration as an exceptional case.
                          6. In the light of above submission & circumstances well beyond my control due to malfunctioning of my internet banking, I shall be extremely grateful that if you could reverse any penalty charged on my card No. 1004. An early reply will be highly appreciated.

                              I AM A CITIBANK SUVIDHA CUSTOMER FOR THE LAST 3 YEARS. THE SUVIDHA ACCOUNT WAS THRUST UPON ME BY MY COMPANY AS THE SALARY ACCOUNT FOR ALL EMPLOYEES. ALONG WITH IT I WAS PROVIDED A CITIBANK GOLD MASTER CARD FREE FOR LIFETIME. AFTER MY LATEST EXPERIENCE WITH CITIBANK, I HAVE COME TO THE CONCLUSION THAT CITIBANK ARE THE CHEAP CHEATERS TO DEAL WITH. THEY CONVENIENTLY MISSED SENDING ME THE STATEMENT FOR 2 CONSECUTIVE MONTHS AND WHEN I CONTACTED THEM UPON NOT RECEIVING THE STATEMEN IN THE SECOND MONTH IN SUCCESSION, THEY SENT ME A DUPLICATE STATEMENT WITH AN INTEREST LEVIED. I HAVE ALWAYS BEEN VERY PROMPT WITH MY STATEMENTS. UPON CALLING THEM UP, THEY REFUSED TO ACCEPT THAT THE STATEMENT WAS NOT SENT. I CONTINUED TO PAY THE BILLS MINUS THE SERVICE CHARGE. I KEPT CALLING THEM FROM TIME TO TIME AND THEY STATED MUCH THE SAME. FINALLY IN OCTOBER THIS YEAR THEY REVERSED THE INTEREST CHARGES FOR THE MONTH OF APRIL AND INSIST THAT I SHOULD PAY THE ACCUMULATED INTEREST FOR THE BALANCE MONTHS. NOW THEY THREATEN ME WITH REPORTING ME TO CREDIT BUREAU.
                              BEWARE ALL THOSE WHO PLAN TO INVEST OR DEAL IN ANYWAY WITH CITIBANK. ANOTHER COUPLE OF EXAMPLES WHY I BELIEVE THAT THIS INSTITUTION IN INDIA IS NOTHING SHORT OF CHEATERS AND FRAUDSTERS.

                                I am holding an citibank suvidha account NO.[protected].

                                Issue is :
                                My account was created in bangalore through DELL as a salaried account. I left dell on July 18 2008 and shifted to Pune.
                                After that I updated my contact number and Mail address.
                                On 10 th Dec 2008 I come to know that my account is Blocked and due to which one of my home loan Cheque and 2 ECS payments were bounced.
                                When I asked for the reason why it has been blocked they told me that there was no salary has been credited to my account fom last 2 months. And they had asked me to submit the documents.That I submited it on Pune baranch office on 13th Dec 2008 and after that on 18th I received an mail saying they had misplaced my document and asking me to re-submit it again.

                                I asked the citibank people to tell me the Terms and condition which asked us to submit the proof of document if and when we are shifting to new place.They told me that it is not been documented any where.

                                It will be a great help for me if you can take some action on this. Atlest these things should be well documented and informed to the public when they were opening the account.

                                I have an account with Citibank and also a credit card from them, when I contacted them for a foreclosure on the credit card, this was because they did not have explanations to the astonishing interest charges.

                                I spoke to a gagged mouthed staff, who speak like robots with the same answers, it was pathetic and finally one of their officer called me and told that I can stop payment on my credit card and it should go to the collection agency, unfortunately I believed his words and waited for the agent, but till date I did not get an agent coming by my house (or ) over the phone to speak for 1 long year.

                                My credit card had an amount of RS 30, 000 and now it went to -1, 32, 000. I was shocked to notice that Citibank has blocked my sividha account (RS 23, 000) and does not still want to talk settlement even now, please provide your guidance, Thanks.

                                  I have been a Customer of Citibank since i have joined my company in Aug 2007 and carry a citibank salary a/c.I also have a citibank credit card and a loan availed from them.Recently, because of my personal needs i called up Customer Care and looked for something called as Ready Credit a/c which is the a/c linked with Suvidha salary a/c . If there are insufficient funds in my normal salary a/c then any clearance or cash withdrawal happens through the ready credit a/c.
                                  On October 2008, i was informed by customer care that i am eligible for it and can go ahead and apply for it.The opening form was sent to me from Chennai which i filled up and sent it to Chennai (Shakthi Towers). Later the next week i got a call from the bank (Bangalore) for verification. It all went fine.I even received SMS alerts on 3rd Dec 2008 about the a/c getting activated with the credit line provided to me of 65, 000/-. Then i received a call from Mr.Santosh in Chennai on 8th Dec 2008 from the number[protected] of the banking department verifying my a/c and other information.He even said that the next day being Id would be a bank holiday and the amount would be submitted in the a/c on 10th Dec.I had even spoken to him that i needed to submit a cheque of 40, 000/-...will that be ok.He confirmed saying that i can do it.I still have all the messages of the activation of the a/c with 65k. I even received a letter dated 3rd Dec 2008 from Citibank mentioning the overdraft a/c and the 65k activation a/c. Mr.Santosh even gave me the ready credit a/c number from him - [protected].Confirming that i submitted a cheque of 40, 000/- (cheque number -123602) to someone. Today at 10 AM in the morning i received a SMS stating that the cheque has got dishonoured.
                                  I calledup the customer care and forget the rudeness they showed me but the call went escalated till Ms.Maheshawari (who quoted she is the manger of the department).They informed me that the ready a/c is closed on 11th Dec 2008.i was promised a call back from them that did not happen.I have been mentally harrassed by the bank throughout now.
                                  I wanted to know from them as to -
                                  1.why i was informed that i am eligible when it found uneligible
                                  2. why the confirmation messages and letters was sent to me for the a/c activation?
                                  3. why i was not informed about anything ata ll?
                                  4. why was i confirmed to submit the cheque?
                                  None of these were responded to . Now if the person submits a legal case against me then me being a sole earning girl, what will i do? Where will i go?

                                  Citibank — Lack of Information to harrass customers

                                  I have had citibank account from 2004, it was a salary
                                  account then later when i left the job it was converted to a savings
                                  account with a minimum balance of Five thousand rupees which i
                                  maintained.The bank has been charging my account with 250/- every month
                                  effective July 2008 till date, in total they have charged my account with
                                  2, 250/- without any information provided to me.As per the representative
                                  they had sent me a communication on my email regarding the change in
                                  policy that we now have to maintain a balance of 10, 000/- and not 5, 000/-
                                  rupees. i don't do net banking and i have never requested the bank to send
                                  me anything online since i am not net savvy i have always requested
                                  everything in paper.this is a complete rip off as the consumer which is me
                                  is not even aware about this and the representative has agreed that no
                                  information was sent to me on paper.Kindly help me on this.
                                  Consequences : i am a working girl and the earning member of my family as
                                  my father has passed away.it is a huge amount for me and i feel helpless
                                  and harassed by Citibank.i am in need of money .
