Hi Team,

I had a credit card [protected] and in January 2008 I have converted this card into personal loan for 92400/- for 36 months @2968/- pm WITH PROPER SIGNING OF LOAN PAPER and given the bank as Standing Instruction to deduct this amount from my Citi Bank Suvidha Account which is active FOR LAST 4 YEARS

The Total Amount due on my card as on 03-Jan-2008 was 92400/-, in which I have already paid 2968/-First Installment by cheque which was cleared from my suvidha account in Jan-08. rest of amount is 88082/- only.


There is NO ECS Deduction since Feb-08 and despite following up with Citi Group Services Limited –DELHI Team( Sumit Aneja, Ajay Yadav) my case not been resolved so far. This has affected my credit history in CIBIL, wastege of my Time and Money.

I am being harrassed by CGSL collection teams (Sumit Aneja -Collection Manager, Citi Bank Global Services, Matura Road, New DelhiTeam) for last 7 months when I have given my application and mail to Sumit Aneja (Collection Manager -CGSL) on Aug-23-2008 regarding my case he promised me to have rebooking, Intentionally He did not do THE SAME and let my case to recovery team that shows how much irresponsible and unprofessional approach in CGSL –DELHI.

Rather than rebooking my ECS for same condition, Sumit Aneja, collection manager, CGSL has passed my case to recovery for which Manager is babita jajal in Citi Group Global Services, Mathura Road, New Delhi.

I have sent my mail to her to have rebooking of my credit card but still dont have any answers.

Kindly help.

Hi Team,

In below I have attached a email in which whole of my case is mentioned. I have paid my all dues to citi bank international card but still they are sending dues statement to me and by which i am facing mentally tourcher.

Since last April 2005 I am continuosly following citi bank internation credit card people to solve my case but every time they give a number which nobody pick up and nor any senior person call come to me. And sending outstanding statement.

Can you please tell me in Delhi where I go (citi Bank or cusumer court) to resolve my case.

Sir,

I would like to say that I want to stop the facility of my CITI BANK International Times Credit Card # [protected] because I have not used this card for a single time and secondly when your bank has issued me a loan, one of your Citibank International Time Credit Card executive (Female) informed me that Sir, your Credit card Number is selected by our bank through LUCKY-DRAW in which our bank is providing a easy loan to you on the following conditions-

1. That you can pay whole amount with total interest of Rs.804 only on whole amount after one year OR
2. You can pay monthly amount of Rs.1067/- to us (there will be no late fees charged/ imposed on it)
3. Only on Ist installment you have to pay extra money because commission amount paid to banks for making DD/Cheuque in your favour.
4. There will be no service tax or other extra charges will be charged from you.

After above all these conditions, I agreed to take that Loan from your Bank and I would like to also inform you that I have not approach to your CitiBank for that Loan, they themselves contact me. Thirdly your recovery executive are so misbehaving people, they always threat and using abusing languages to me on my mobile for payment of the installments due to which I have to stop using my mobile phone.

In this regard I had already made the request on your 24-hour customer call to stop the facility of my credit card and the customer care agent told me that they are forwarding my request to the concerned person and within few days I will receive a call in this regard but neither I have received any call nor any written communication from your end.

So I request you to stop this credit card facility and what are the formalities please let me know.

    My name appears in CIBIL of no fault of mine. My personal Loan a/c no. is L55-PRE-2987643. The information provided to me that ECS provided to you for ICICI bank, that account doesn;t exist. Figting with customer care for one month, you people started producing my ECS for two months and again ypu fall back to same question that my ICICI account doesn;t exist. Now I came to know fro collection people when the ECS was prodices to ICICI there were insuffient Fund in it. Man I can provide you people my ICICI statement that it always had suffient amount foin my account for my Citi bank p/l. Next I got a call from customer care that they will reduce my interest rate to 11% and change the EMI amount, fine I agrred on that part. I filled up the form but it never happened.for that month it may be Feb or march 2008. I again got call that my file never reached chennai on time so i need to make the payment of current month emi 3267/- which i did. this time i just missed to take the receipts of the payment. later i came to know that this amount was not credit to my personal emi. fine i again got a call for the payment from customer care that there is a payment due. i told the whole story what was going on and how this bank is sucking me badly. every call i received from customer care but no one came up with resolution. worst happened you people have my name in cibil.

    Dear Manager,

    I had a credit card of CitiBank bearing th no-[protected] in the year 2004,
    I closed that citi bank credit card by paying Rs14000/- through SBI cheque no 061130 dated 19april2004.
    But Citi bank people submited my name to CIBIL.

    Can you help me to look into this and to get NOC from citi Bank.

      Sir/Ma'am,

      I have a citibank credit card(CC no.-[protected]) on my name. There have been two times when I've used the card and on both instances, there has been extra charges levied on it. The first time I bought movie tickets from Fun Republic for Rs 470/-, and insisted on the extra charges to be removed first, but even after enumerous calls at the customer service and writing mails, I was told that they would clear the extra charges put only after I would pay up the due amount. Since I was not doing it to skip my bill, so I did as I was told, but the problem still persisted. Then I was explained about an insurrance on the phone, and I clearly said that it should not be despatched, as we've always had very bad experiences with Citibank as a company. But still the insurrance came, the insurrance amount was levied, and when I refused to accept it and demanded the reversal of he unwanted policy, part of the amount along with interest charges still remained on my bill. Now, once again, when I used my card the second time in June for Indigo air tickets, before the due date of payment, I kept writing and calling the concerned persons for the removal of those extra charges put unnecessarily. But the same history was repeated and I was asked to pay my bill first, but since that discussion and calls in order to get some response out of Citibank took some time, theyu very cleverly took the due amount, but added an additional amount for delaying the payment.
      Sir, we as a family have very huge home loans on our shoulder and we have never since years done any kind of fraud whatsoever.
      Since all the pending spendings have been paid, I would further request you to kindly remove those irrerelevant charges and send in a statement with zero balance due. We are being troubled and harrased by the citibank people a lot. We are tired of telephonic conversations and would request for written communication. We so far have not used the card in the last three months, just because of this problem.
      Kindly take care of all this, as we will not be left with any other choice then to apply for a credit card of another company, and
      forget about Citibank, as we refuse to pay the amount levied in our statement for no rhyme or reason.

        Hi,
        Citibank has rejected my application for their Gold card by stating the below-mentioned - "We regret to inform you that we are currently unable to approve your application for a Citibank Card, as feedback from Credit Bureau of India Ltd (CIBIL) does not meet our minimum credit criteria. Please note this does not mean negative credit feedback"
        I have contacted CIBIL and my records are very much clean as never in my life i have taken any loans or owned any credit cards i.e. a debt-free life.
        Citibank has questioned my credentials with their credit policy, would request you to bring justice to my case and teach them right.

        Hi,
        I have EXACTLY the same response (as Samrat's) from CitiBank for my Gold Credit Card application.
        I have credit cards from HSBC / Standard Chartered / HDFC / ABN AMRO banks and never once did I have this problem when I applied for these cards.
        Citibabnk seems to have a totally different yardstick for credibility measurments!.
        I am amazed how does my name figure in CIBIL list (as stated by Citibank), since I have never defaulted on any payments ( credit cards or loans).
        Request your kind action in this matter.

            Dear Sir,

            I see that some harmful hacker had misused my credit card to book 3 Airline tickets in Kingfisher and Sahara airlines on 31st August. The card had been blocked by Citibank soon after they identified the fraud. I was shocked to see my statement with around 30, 000 being misused. IM not in India currently to proceed further in person.
            Can you please advice me the actions I have to take.
            Don't the Airlines follow the policy where without the credit card used for booking the ticket, the passengers ticket will not be valid ?

            Please help me in this issue.

            On my CitiBank Credit card 2 fraudulent transactions have taken place on 12th December 2008, one amounts to rupees 10, 000/- and another of rupees 25, 000/- worth of purchases made. Both purchases are made with BHARTI AIRTEL The fraud came to light on 16th december 2008, when i checked online status of my cheque payment to citibank. I immediately, reported the matter to citiback customer service and they straightaway blocked my card, and conveyed that they could get the purchase details only in the next 48 hours. They asked me to send them the fax a document 'card member declaration form' to initiate an investigation into the fraud. I suggested whether i should be making a police complain, but they squarely told me it's entirely my call; I could go ahead and make one or vice versa.
            Now, I'm confused whether i should make a police complain or wait till such time citibank informs me about the progress in this matter.
            Kindly, help me out with advice so that i can safeguard my interests and liablity.

              dear sir,
              my credit card no.[protected] citibank, hyderabad, india, has been wrongly billed for usd 1, usd 39.97 & usd 34.62 totalling usd 74 . i have never used any website or any services for a second. when i tried to use my credit card i was told it is invalid and cannot be accepted hence i immediately cancelled my subscription and did not use it at all. surprisingly citibank hyderabad, india raised the above billing in the statement dated 23/07/08 for the period from 22/06/08 to 22/07/08 under reference no.[protected] & [protected] dated 04/07 & 08/07. kindly investigate the wrong billing and arrange to refund the total amount o[censored]sd 74 to my credit card no.[protected]. tks i look forward to early return reply. tks . if there is any such future wrong billing kindly arrange to cancel the membership subscription so that citibank should not raise any such fraudulent charges in my next monthly statement. tks mir hasan ali

              This is Durga from Hyderabad. I am the holder of Citi Bank Credit Card bearing # [protected] (Add on card # [protected]).

              Citi Bank has levied unnecessary amount apart from my usual balance. When I questioned them over phone they simply ignored with a word saying that they will look into the matter. They have never enquired a bit in to that. They instead collected the whole amount from me. It is been 3 months I have paid the double of the whole amount to Citi Bank.

              To this day, the concerned person Anita[protected] email: anita.[protected]@citi.com) have neither taken any action to bring the access back on my credit card nor even tried to leave an info with me saying I cannot continue with Citi Bank.

              The whole situation seems to be tricky. What ever be the end of it, I feel deceived by Citi Bank's cheap tricks.

              I feel, I should never approach Citi Bank for any think for any matter even in future. Also I request the innocent customers to be careful with companies like Citi Bank particularly.

(just over the limit) I have changed my residential address as I have constructed a new house.Since then I am not getting any credit card statement even upon updating my new postal address with customer care donkeys. I am paying a sum of min amount each month and asking the collections executive to get me the statements which he is not doing for the last 4-5 months. Collections executive Suresh: Phone. [protected] & their Manager Mr. Kiran [protected] have now become hopeless.

              When Barclays can expect money thru middle agencies to recover its money, then why not Barclays ensure that the customer is getting the bills or not. When I make the payment, I get atleast 6-10 calls to verify if I have paid the credit card amount or not and enquiring the receipt number.

              Also I get a lot of miss calls from your Bank who speak nothing on picking the call. What ever be the stage, I just want to payout the remaining amount but, remember without any extra charges, fines and other head ache issues. Please cancel my card on taking the remaining money. I am ready to pay the amount any time. If you still continue

              Most of you must be aware of the ARUNACHALAM film story. In this film Rajinikanth wins the property of 3000 Crores of his father by spending 30 crore rupees in just 1 month's time. To do this Rajinikanth makes a lot of effort, hope you all know that. If I were given a chance in life to spend such a huge amount I would take Barclays Credit Card. I need not have to bother there upon. Because this bank takes care of LOOTING ALL YOUR MONEY in the form of surcharge, over charge, under limits, over limit, bending limits, straightening limits don't be amazed. It is true.

              Because we can make payments in time. They will never send you the statements.

              You will continuously get messages on your mobile and get phone calls, but they never care from your end.

              the collection executive comes to you, collects the money and promises of the statement copies during the next months payment.. he never returns back with the statement copies.

              you can call customer care to change the contact address. they will never do it.

              you can call your regional office... the manager responds carelessly as though he is not interested to collect your money any more.

              they call you usually.. and send the messages as usually threatening your details would be sent to CIBIL (Credit Bureau)... they finally end up in disputes by loosing its money and unclever staff.

              They don't have sense to deal with the customers.. how can they as they don't have responsible regional office officials to do it.

              No one really cares about the customers, if they use BARCLAYS CREDIT CARD. Dear Folks be careful for ever.

                Dear sir, I have contacted many times to the Number given by you, But, no clear cut response & support for my problem. Herewith I have attached the statment of my Credit card. As I told in previous mail, You can see that I have used credit card for the following Mothers Treatment : 28390.00 Insurance : 5983.00 Diesle Purchase : 17252.90 Also, Total money taken by using the card is Rs.51625.90 I have alread paid Rs.38788.51 appox.. Still my outstanding is more then Rs.40, 000.00 Also, You are taking money from Suvitha account with reference to the Standing card which was forced by your representative during filling of the Application form. Now, I am requesting you to consider the following : 1.Hereafter, taking money from Suvitha account has to be stopped. 2.Pl. revise the outstanding amount to a Minimum considering the total amount vs paid amount, my present critical situation & my mothers hospital expenses. 3.You can make this revised minimum outstanding to 12 Equal installments which I will pay without fail.

                Citibank Credit Card — Revision of Service Tax and Int.

                the statement dated:30.05.2008 for my Credit Card No:[protected] Interest charges of Rs:416.54 and Service Tax of Rs:51.48 has bee shown. It is cortrary to our agreement and you are requested to revise the statement and quash the Interest charges and service tax. The same has bee appeared in the statement of April-2008. you are requested to recrify the anomaly at the earliest.
                Please rectify the complaint at the earliest credit card No:[protected].

                Credit Card — bill paid and still outstanding pending

                I have a credit card of hdfc bank bearing no [protected].
                My card was suspended on 25.12.2010 with a settlement of payment Rs 22700. A settlement letter was received from HDFC bank to pay the amount in 8 installments.
                All installments were payed by me at the fixed time given in letter.
                But this month i have received the credit card statement & i am surprised to see that my outstanding amount is 24881.
                I am not able to understand the meaning of that outstanding amount after paying all instalments.
                Why r u sending me my credit card statement.My card account has been permanently suspended.My cards installment is completed.So please dont send me card statement & send me the Only NOC latter.
                Please look into the matter & resolve it and also provide me the NOCof my credit card.
                Please find enclosed scan copy of settlement letter & statement..

                  I applies personal loan for personal problems for Rs.32000/-.they charges 24% Interest . i a paying EMI of Rs.1707 for 30 month. i finish the 16 dues further i cannot able to pay interest.i am mentally disturse very much .

                  Hi Aravamudan,

                  What an unexpected situation is this?. You know almost everyone owes to someone. Probably no one is rich. No one think about others. Everyone is after money and power. But no one has won. Anyway, Below are my suggestions.

                  1. Don't owe any more and if you have credit cards, just in case, close those accounts.

                  2. If you have something worthy and unused, sell them and have some money.

                  3. Talk to your friends and relatives about your problem and ask some money that you pay back after a long time without interest.

                  4. Limit your spending limits. It's very important to save some money by limiting spending limit. Live simple life.

                  5. Try to find some odd jobs or try to start your own business, i mean very small business, like selling food or vegetables on the pavement. If you know how to prepare food, you can earn money selling juck foods.

                  6. Be patient and don't give up. There is no reason to mentally depressed. Look around the word, there are plenty of people who don't have anything to eat. Look, when you cry for a pair of slippers, there are people who don't have legs to wear shoes.

                  7. Don't waste your time. Read and learn how to earn money. Don't spend money for junks. Never, never be addicted to alcohol. If you do, it definitely degrades your strength. Don't be a drunker.

                  8. Don't get angry with yourself and with your family and friends due to your economical situation. Eventually everything will be your family.

                  9. Attack your debt little by little. Don't spend every single penny to pay off your debt. Save some bugs for emergencies.


                  Keep in mind, problems never last forever. If you can remember anything from your childhood, look no more those problems. Believe me your problem is temporal. It will go way. But you have to be smart. You have o be active. You have to be open. It's always better to think twice before you do something in order to prevent situations like this in future. Anyway it's the life. Don't worry. You will have a debt free and wonderful life in future. Just plan your life in a path that is not going through debts.

                  There are no magics in finance. You need time. Be practical. Be patient. Don't hate anyone. Try to maintain your smiley face all the time. It will attract fortune.

                    I have a citi bank credit card [protected]. I used this card last year between Jan 2007 to april 2007 for almost Rs.20000 after that i stopped using it because of too much of interest charges. Bill was standing at 20k so i started paying more than my Minimum Due amount for example if my Minimum due amount is 1000 i was paying 2000 so that my balance keep on decreasing but actually it was increasing so i asked them why it is happening but they never gave any satisfactory answer. What is more frustrating was i told them please convert them into EMI but they said we can't do it now so i stopped making payment and told them please resolve this issue and stop sending me bill now the situation is that my bill is standing at 37k. I have emailed them so many times and they replied me once that they can adjust my bill at 20k which is too much for me, why should i pay so much when i have already paid 12k out of i am ready to settle at 12k but after emailing them so many times they are not replying me anymore. Please advice me

                    Citi Credit Card — charging interest

                    hello sir,
                    my name is kaitav shah, i stay in kandivli west(mumbai).
                    i purchased dvd player from croma and paid payment through my citi credit card.
                    i have my saving a/c in punjab national bank joined with my mother.
                    As punjab national bank has not made changes in thier registrar for verifying signatures.In thier computer they have only my signature.i have given many times appliaction to enter my mothers signatures but they havent done.

                    After purchasing dvd player i made payment before 4 days of due date through punjab national bank with my mothers signature.
                    as chque bounced and after i called them on hotline number they told me the chq has passed and there is no problem
                    after 2 or 3 days they called us, and saying that u have been charged extra money for intrest for paying aft due date.

                    so wht i do

                    Credit Card — too much interest charge

                    As I have already requested you several times that please stop leaying charges but you are not ready to help me in any positive way and you have always replied me with no resolution of my problem.

                    your recovery department people are teasing me like anything by calling me again and again.

                    I told the recovery guy that I want to clear the remaining dues of my credit card bill but I am not able to pay the whole amount at once now so please convert my whole remaining in four installement and I will pay it every month so I can get rid of these ICICI credit card and it's extra charges but he was not ready to accept my request.


                    I have paid 2500 rupees today against my ctedit card bill but now I want to know that how much total amount I need to pay(extra levied amount must be deducted from the total due) and how many installments are possible.

                    Citi Bank ludhiana branch confirm the chagres will be revirsed and later inform the charges will not be revised. for the out ward remitance other banks have less charges then citi bank and even inward usd exchange rate is much higher bank keep much profit

                      Subject : refund of my money back from citibank

                      I have my salary account with citibank pune branch, In the month of september 2007, i went to ATM of HSBC and tried to withdaw an amount of 6000/- from my account, but due to insufficient funds in the ATM machine, i got message like the "INSUFFICIENT BALANCE IN ATM SO MONEY CANNOT BE WITHDRAWN", i got the 2 slips at a time interval of 1 second, one of which indicates that transaction successful, and another one with transaction cancel.

                      But the amount (6000 rs) has been debited from my account, when i talked with the customer care of hsbc at that time, he told me to inquire with the citibank as they have to rollback the transaction, i talked with the customer care of citibank on the same day, he told me it will take 2 day to settle down the issue.

                      The money was credited to my account, but after few days citibank has again debited the amount from my account, when i approached them i was told that they had inquired with the HSBC bank and the transaction has actually taken place.

                      I have already sent a mail to citibank head office, but all went in vain, i went to HSBC office and tried to resolve the issue, initially they coordinated with me, but the issue was not resolved, i approaced them(HSBC) again to know the status, but this time they were rude with me.


                      so please help me in this regard, to get my money back

                        Hi,

                        I have a serious problem with citibank. Can some body help me?

                        In brief: I went for a onetime settlement on my citibank cards in January, till this day the card accounts are not closed and they levy interests. Now, they call me to ask for payment which is completely ridicuolus. I'm afraid that there is some sort of a deliberate fraud.

                        Details:
                        I held two citi bank credit cards:
                        one visa gold card ending with 4013 and the other hutch co-brand card ending with 8005.

                        On Jan 15th 2008, I went to the collection department's office for a one time settlement on both the cards.
                        After some negotiation, I made a ONE TIME payment of Rs. 2, 00, 656.

                        I was provided a collection deposit slip (no: 133452) as a proof of this payment and was also asked to write a letter requesting a settlement and closure of cards. The executive also told me that the reversals would happen by Jan 21st and that I'd not need any other documentary proofs related to the settlement (the collection slip would be enough!!).

                        After that, I had to continuously follow up regarding the closure of cards and the cards were NOT closed until March 12, 2008. Even after the closure of the cards the collection department's executive failed to effect the settlement, as a result, I have been getting calls everday about the due amount.

                        I tried to call the executive many times but in vain and she did not honour my requests for call back. I had also registered a compaint with the customer care. Till this day, there is no solution to my problem.

                        I am the Citibank credit card member since 2000 and life time member.
                        My card No [protected] valid till 4/2010 Master card.
                        My complaint regarding the over charges on part payment made and further late payments charges incurred in the current statement. I have stopped making payment since 1 Year as they have no response from them. I wrote a letter while making payment to the collection person and acknowledged the same.
                        Please let me know how to settle the account. The citibaank collection dept asking settlement amount more than Rs. 13000/- while total outstanding was 11000/-.

                        I was holding a credit card with citi bank in 2007.However i couldn't pay the bills on time.I settled the card for a hefty amount and asked them to write-off the card.I also requested them to remove it from CIBIL.But inspite of my requests they didn't clear it from CIBIL.Because of this,I am not able to get any loan from any bank.Please take a necessary action against them.

                          I have cleared all dues w.r.t. credit card issued by CITIBANK.N.A.
                          No.[protected] in the year 2004 itself.But even now my name is not removed from negative list and all my loan applications in each and every banks are getting rejected.I have been informed by Citibank that they have already informed CIBIL to remove my name and CIBIL has failed to do so.When my name will be removed from CIBIL negative list? I'm in urgent need of money.

                          Dear Sir,
                          I have been harassed by citibank. I had 3 credit cards. In Nashik there was no collection centre in 1999.Whenever I paid 100/- was charged as outstation charges. On this amount also interest was levied.I communicated with them several times. Then I stopped payment. In 2006, bank person along with recovery agent came foe settlement. Rs.15000/- was finalised. I had to pay that in two instalments. The first one was paid by me for 5000/-. When I arranged balance 10000/- and called the recovery agent to collect, he did not turn up. I called him several times and asked him to bring the settlement letter also. But in vain. Now citibank has posted my name in cibil. I am ready to pay the balance amount provided they remove my name.

                            In the last week of August, I contacted Citibank regarding personal loan which i wanted to apply for. I was in urgent need and informed the same to the executive (Deepika, Contact No.[protected] and [protected]). She assured me that my loan will get sanction by 31st Aug 08 provided she receives all the docs. On 25-Aug-2008, a person came and collected the necessary docs and 4 Deustche bank cheques made in the name of Citibank. Then there were few follow-ups which I kept on doing after which I was informed on 05-Sept-2008, that they are unable to sanction my loan for the full application amount. I informed that I do not want the loan and want my docs and cheques back. On this they said OK, however after sometime I was informed that docs may take 4-5 days to reach me since the same will be couriered. Till date I did not receive the same. Today from morning I tried calling on both the contact numbers of Deepika, she picked up the first call in the morning and informed that she will tell me the status of the docs in 15 minutes. Her 15 minutes is yet to get over. and she is even disconnecting the phone line.

                                Following is already complained to citibank and they do not seem to be bothered about it. The customer care representatives keep on harping the same things without understanding what customer wants. i am for sure not going to have any realtionship with citibank.

                                1) Improper negative marking of lien on a bank account : Assume I have a balance in my account and there is a cheque written to debit my account. If the amount in the cheque exceeds the balance, the bank returns the cheque. It does not pass the cheque and mark negative balance in the account holder. To directly correrelate, even if there is a internal standing instruction and account balance is not there, the standing instruction is not debited and failed. Similarly if there is e-debit request for EMI/SIP, the EMI/SIP transaction would fail. In all these scenarios, there would be no negative balance and the transaction would fail. Just because Citicard is subsidiary of Citibank, they are marking negative balance in the account and not failing the transaction. This is preferential treatment and I would label it as Un fair and unethical trade practice being followed by citibank.
                                2. Refusal to close the account : Just because there is a negative lien ( newly introduced concept), u cannot deny the customer the right to close the account. This is again unethical.

                                3. Inadequate services : Why is the branch person not updating the customer properly when he walks into the branch. Subsequently after 30 days of e-mail follow up, reasons are given.. I think this is not acceptable as a customer.

                                4. Financial charges : They are too heavy and more than 100 times the transaction amount.

                                These are generic in nature and will provide account number and details if sought

                                I have posted a request for opening suvidha a/c, executive came to my house and collected all necessary documents and cheq for 1 lakh rupees and he said a/c will be opened in less than 1 week.I waited for 2 weeks and then tried to call him, but he never responds nor lifts my call.when i call him from some other no he lifts and says some reason.the response and feedback is not good at all.i even tried to contact customer service but no use.it is shocking service from such a big bank.

                                  Hi,

                                  I have a citibank Gold card. I was about to purchase a laptop for myself. Before purchasing the Laptop, I called up the Customer care of Citibank for how to go by the EMI option. The lady speaking to me clearly told me that if you purchase it right now and get converted into EMI, the first installment would get due in the next comming statement, however if you get it converted after the bill generation but before the due date, it will be billed in the next statement giving extra one month's statement. She never told me that you didn't made the last month's minimum amount and it cannot be converted into EMI at all.

                                  Anyways she guided me and I followed the path I was guided.

                                  Now after the purchase is made and the bill is generated, I call the customer care again for EMI conversion and they say that it is not possible at all. Again I called up the customer care in the evening and the person attending the call apologized to me saying that it was a wrong peice of information provided to you and if I make a minimum payment of Rs. 21xx.00, they will convert the amount into EMI for sure which the person confirmed three times over the phone.

                                  I made the minimum payment as advised and called up the customer care again for EMI option. Again the customer care representative advises me that it is not possible at all. I repeated the whole story again that what I did prior to purchasing the Laptop and how can you say that. I also had a word with their manager his name was something Likhap or whatever, he said that sir it is not possibe but i will check and try if possible and will call you back by evening. He never turned up to me again.

                                  Finally I called the customer care again and talked to Rohit. He transferred me to the EMI department where I got connected to Deepak, he checks and says sorry it is not possible, I tell him the entire story again and told him that if not, I will not pay anything at all. Having a long conversation, I asked for their manager.
                                  I now got connected to Navjeet, she is some supervisor. I told her the things again and told her that you people have misguided me, I am not at fault at all which is a true fact. Penalise your employee for that and get me a solution. After a long repeated discussion she says that she will waive off only one month's interest and late payment and rest I have to pay.

                                  Now the thing is, when I am not at fault why should I pay extra. Why the hell Citibank has customer care who misguide people and penalise them for no fault of them.

                                  Please help me in handling this matter, I would be highly grateful to you if this gets resolved somehow.

                                    I am holding two credit cards in my name - [protected] and [protected]. I an really disturbed to see that your people are consistently irresponsible in credting of my cheques. You have received my cheque for clearing the dues in favuor of my both credit cards for the month of July, 2008 on August 8, 2008. But the entire amount of Rs.4010 was credited into ...6015 leaving ...3010 a defaulter as per the statement for the month of August, 2008. It carried late payment fees and interest and so on. I would like to emphasise that that I had specifically mentioned about the breakup in the front and reverse of the cheque as per your advice. A cheque clearing the dues of both the credit cards ( Rs. 1819 for ...6015 and Rs.1819 for ...3010 - total amount Rs.3600)for the month of August, 2008 was sent on 6-9-08 thinking that I will ask for reversal of the charges thrusted on me so that it will be reflected in the statement for the month of September, 08. I have received a message acknowledging the receipt of the cheque on 10-9-08 but this time also the entire amount is credited to ...6015 only and ypu are shooting messages for non-payment of the dues of ...3010.
                                    I do not know why this is happening too often. It happened several times in the past, wasting my time and energy for writing for reversal of the charges. Are you annoyed with prompt customers? Or, do you want to engage such customers in time consuming buiness. Sir, you please understand that I can't spend my hard earned money for paying charges imposed on me unnecessarily. So I request you to arrange proper creditng of the money sent in favour of both the credit cards and reversal of all the charges imposed on ...3010. I hope, this will be made in the statement for the month of September, 2008.

                                      I'm Suryanarayan Maharana using your citibank card no-[protected] previously the card no was [protected]
                                      since 11/2007, every month i deposit my due amount before due date even never late fee charges on me but last month my due date was 12/08/08 of amount Rs 2597/-and i dropped cheque from SBI, delhi cantt branch dtd.8/8/8 and i got a mail from the citibank that tha cheque has been bounced on 13/8/8 due to insufficient balance on my account but immediately i enquired details from my bank and i discovered that inspite of sufficient balance, actual the cheque did not produced even till today and i request to citibank customer care for the said cheque details statement as per said my sbi bank but they are not support me anyway and ultimately they charged on me around Rs 1000/- as various charges, after repeated request for the statement they told me falsele that we have already send you on 20th/23rd/27th Aug and lastly on 1st sept. they send it to me but till now i've not received the deatails statement that was to be produce on my bank, nothing i got way i send a letter to Citibank, chennai through Speed post with my bank statement and also cc to fax to gurgaon office also on 4th sept. and clearly i mentioned if you don't take any step within seven days i'll take legal action on you, so kindly help me, however i deposit my next due amount on 6th sept through cheque except the controversy amount of Rs2597/- and the late charges around Rs 1000/-

                                        Hi,

                                        I was holding 2 credit cards of Citibank till the early 2007. I was very diligent in making the payment on these cards regularly and continued till a particular dispute arose. For 2 months in early 2007, i was not intimated of the amount payable on these cards and inspite of the regular calls requesting them to send me the statements, i did not receive them for these months. Subsequently, when i received the statements, there was a hige amount billed on it on account of non payment/ interest charges. I immediately registered my complaint with the customer care and requested them to review the matter on an urgent basis including the cancellation of cards but none of them were entertained.

                                        I made the payments soon after the receipt of the statements to the extent of the usage on the cards and confirmed to them that the payment has not been made for the interest/ late payment charges levied, which was purely on account of failure/ negligence at the end of Citibank.

                                        Subsequently, it comes to my notice that the case has been registered with CIBIL and obviously I would like to have the same removed.

                                        I have been following up with Citibank to settle the matter for the past 2 months but have not been able to get any proper response from them. In fact, each and every call or message for the settlement/ closure has been delivered from my end which has gone without any replies from their end.

                                        I request your attention in this case for appropriate actions at the earliest.

                                        FYI, i work with a very highly reputed organisation and these small matters reflect very badly on my profile.
