I took the membership at club mahindra, the executive told me that the emi of rs. 3022 includes the annual maintainance charges and every other charges, i will not be required to pay any thing apart from this. Also, from last two years nobody intimated anything when i was constantly asking about this. After paying rs. 109309, they are asking for the extra amount. Why they did not said all this before 60% payment. It is clear case of fraud and cheating. Now when the customer has paid almost 75% amount, when he cannot move back they are asking to make extra payment???

Also, i've not taken any holiday from you till date, everytime they said that there is no vacancy. I feel all my money was waste, they were not in intentions to give holiday, you were only extracting money from my pocket and it was just a trick to do so.

Never go for club mahindra. They are cheaters

i have taken the advise of many people on and off the internet after paying the initial amount for red studio membership. i subsequently withdrew my membership within the stipulated 10 days. Mainly because they are unable to provide rooms as per to our convienience. this is becouse they have 60000 odd members but around 700 rooms only. the rest are on tieup basis where they can on rental basis get us rooms. which we can do ourselfs with out paying club mahindra.

    Hi,

    I recieved a call form Club Mahindra couple of days back and they told me i have won a free gift voucher for free stay at any of the club mahindra resorts for 2 days and 3 nigths. all i have to do is attend a seminar for 45 mins along with my wife and take away the voucher.

    I sat with my wife for like 2 hours for the pathetic seminar where they were trying to sell me the membership.
    i was sure i dont want to buy.

    its been like 5 days i have still not got the voucher.
    Club mahindra islying and inviting people to attend the seminar and if some falls in their scheme great else send them home without any voucher.

    i had travelled all the spending 200 rs to attend the seminar at INOX Mall at Nariman Point.
    the person who called me was some IMRAN and he only gave the presentation for 2 hours.
    please let me know whom to contact in club mahindra to complaint about this fraud marketing policy.

    The club Mahindra is getting a lot of money from people who they are fraudly selling schemes. In a country like India where people make end meet with difficulty have a huge wish to take there family for a holiday. Using this and other tactics they somehow cajole you to buy there scemes ( incentive TV, free gifts, holidays, voucher etc. ) but all is in the books. They are simply cheating people and providing pathetic service for the moeny they are charging. Moreover its becoming a huge financial racket ( this is one of the maximum number of complained company ) .
    Now my complaint : I purchased a membership from CM on 28/11/2008 . They promised to take an instalment of 47, 000 rupees and rest in installmets. They offerred a holiday in GOA for the new year, A sony bravia lcd 32 and a RCI holiday later. (They even said not to pay the installments later) which I thought I would decide when I experience there resort. I booked tickets for my wife mother and 9 month old daughter from Lucknow-delhi-goa and Goa-mumbai-lucknow for 45, 000 rupees. This I did after I got booking dates on telephone from Ms Shipra Mitra the sales manager of lucknow habibullah branch. I asked her repeatedly if the dates 28 th dec and return 3rd jan are confired. this I did because I was getting accomodation in another resort through travel agent. She said to give it up and buy CM. she gave commitment. Her sales boy Amog Rai came to my house and collected the money Rs 10, 000 +10, 000 and 27, 000. After all was done my membership number had to come in a few days and subsequently they said I would be issued letter for my Goa visit. I waited for one week, they said its holidays ( Bakried) so theres a delay. On 22nd december I finally went to there office AND THEY SAID TAKE YOUR MONEY BACK WE CANT BOOK YOU. That too i should apply, for it not immediately. Can you understand what it meant, my family and my holiday plans disrupted when I could have easily got bookings done on my own and gone. I trusted there reputation and the ladies persuasion. Tell me friends what steps to take now. Shall I lodge a police complaint or simple take refund. What is an effective method now to teach them a lesson. ANy successfull suggestions.

      Club Mahindra is a very saturated club i.e.so many members and very few clubs. No new memberships they shall take unless they are able to make provision for existing members.Marketing team fools peoples to go for membership but once they are booked no proper response for booking.Many of destination they are not owning clubs but hires other resorts and changes contract.There own resorts also do not have enough rooms.Any customer wishes to book in desired period;they will suggest you very odd period.They have categories for memberships like Premium one is RED and lowest is blue.but one will find always booked for desired destination.Peoples shall choose membership after verification of lakhs of members and hudreds of room all over country.
      Not a choice at all to go for such membership.I am one of the unfortunate member.

        Sir,
        This is to inform you that my family and I were invited by the employees of the City Centre, Salt lake branch of Club Mahindra Holidays to attend a presentation on 8th June,’09.We were attended by Mrs. Manashi. Finding the package beneficial, I booked a trip to Goa and paid Rs. 4,500 at hand. Soon I received my Member ID i.e. 1494039 and I also paid another 20,926/- within 15th June, ’09. But the written package details that were posted to my residence afterwards were completely different from that of Mrs. Manashi’s elaborations of June 8,’09. At the time of booking, it was 5 nights and 6 days which turned into 3 nights. Initially, it was said that the sight seeing will be free of cost which changed into payable. They promised that they would take us from Kolkata to Goa by air. But later on, they committed a breach by confirming that they would only take us to Mumbai by air and after that, it was our responsibility to reach Goa.

        Hence, we decided to cancel the said trip and gave an application personally to City Centre, Salt lake branch on 19th July,’09. Though Mrs. Manashi signed on our application and they accepted it, but I got no response until today. After that, I tried to contact them a number of times, but they never bothered to answer to my queries, they never gave me a justified explanation. So, I posted a letter to their ‘Shrachi Tower’ branch as it was supposedly the main branch in Kolkata according to Mrs. Manashi. But they did not even accept it. Having no other option, I moved to an advocate and he sent a few letters to all their respective branches. But it was the same again, they refused to accept those.

        At the end, I thought of bringing this incident into the notice of Consumer Forum to seek justice. I would expect you to look into the matter personally and kindly arrange the return of the entire paid amount of Rs.25, 426 as early as possible. I would also like to claim compensation as they harassed me a lot. I had to travel to their different branches many a times. I had to call them several times and it even required me to consult an advocate. I had to gone through severe mental pressure & agony.You can understand that managing all these additional expenses is not easy for a middle-class family. I hope to get money back along with compensation as earliest.

          I received a call in early November-2009 stating I have won a club mahindra lucky draw entitling me to an abolutely free 2 night 3 day stay at any of their resorts plus 2 movie tickets of Inox Multiplex, Nariman Point, Mumbai absolutely free. The only pre-condition was that we have to attend a no-obligation presentation of 45 mins, both husband and wife, after which we shall be given the free voucher irrespective of whether we enroll as members or not.

          Hereafter we got repeated calls from their call centre asking us when we are collecting our free stay vouchers and tickets. Eventually we agreed to a convenient time and accordingy reached the Club Mahindra Office at CR2 Mall in Nariman Point, Mumbai.

          It is only now that we realise that this entire process of attracting gullible innocents by various means is a very well planned out sleazy modus operandi of the company. When we reached there we were made to fill out a declaration form which said that we understand this would be a presentation of 45 mins and also that there is no obligation to purchase the membership. They also request to fill out information such the type of car we own, how often we go on holiday etc.

          The presentation is handled in a very `planned' fashion by an executive and a manager (viz. Mr. Farshogar Madon and Mr. Lalit Gehani, in our case), The executive portrays as if we are indeed lucky to have been selected for the offer and that we are there on a day that happens to be a Special Offer Day which is supposed to be too good to let go. All the time, the executives portray strongly about the brand and family name of the Mahindras and their class properties around the country pretending to be very honest about everything. They only indulge in explaining the various resorts and facilities that we can avail of and how easy it would be to avail a 1 week five star holiday every year at a marginal price without disclosing for a long time the actual cost of the membership. All the while that the executive makes this ground building presentation he does not disclose the cost of the membership. Then he asks his manager to come and tell us about the costs. Stealthily they lead the prospective member into believing that they would be missing out on a very lucrative offer of the day. Throughout the joint presentation they move in on the `kill' explaining the features and facilities in handwritten fashion on plain paper. Very cleverly they dodge all questions when you ask for reading the terms and conditions in writing, stating that this is exactly as explained during the presentation and that it can be given to us only if we become members and that it would form part of the Welcome Kit that we receive from the company. On insisting that we cannot take any decision without understanding everything in black & white, they again convince you to have faith in the name of the Mahindras and that there are so many members enjoying the benefits of the membership every year. They show pictures of happy families and offer to have us speak to some of their members if we feel the need to. They initially purposely try to sell you a lower category membership to make you feel as if they feel you may not be able to enroll for the highest membership i.e. Red season membership. They made it sound so easy as if there are a large number of options that a person desiring to be member can choose from with varied EMI plans as well as interest free EMI plans. They slyly put you off-guard by stating that they will hold on to our application for 10 days as part of their built-in process and then process it only thereafter during which time we are free to cancel our application for a full refund. They claim that they have to swipe our credit card for the down payment so that we can avail of the special offer that is valid only if we pay the down payment on the spot. We reallised only later that this is a trick played on most prospective customers only to make it sound easy - it is only later that we have come across so many cases on the internet wherein even if the prospetive member has decided within 10 days not to proceed with the membership they have been unsuccessfully running from pillar to post to even get their down payment back.

          We were offered as part of the `special deal'
          * a complimentary 2 years membership of RCI
          * a discounted standard exchange fee for availing an international holiday
          * a bonus exchange week in addition to our entitlement
          * a Sony Bravia LCD TV 26"
          * a 14 nights holiday in any Club Mahindra Resort valid upto[protected]
          * Food vouchers worth Rs.4000 redeemable at Club Mahindra owned resorts only valid for one year
          * Three Bonus weeks with RCI which can be availed anytime during the validity of our RCI membership
          * 2 nos. of 2 night / 3 Day free stay vouchers

          We intially made a down payment for a white season membership of a studio appartment, which we upgraded to a red season membership by paying the difference amount, thinking that we would be able to utilise them with more season options and that we would have better chances and more priority during reservation requests. This was the highest available membership that was offered by the Club Mahindra people in a symbolic gesture to portray that they have purposely closed the Purple membership as all their inventory for that season had been sold out.

          All these lucrative offers and camouflaged `genuinity' did make us feel as if we were in a for some very good holidays within the next 2 years itself (and for the next 25 years) and we had already started eagerly planning on when to take leave from work. We began planning our wonderful trips to various destinations chalking out the possible dates when we could take off from work and avail of the privileged holidays.

          Both o[censored]s made many tentative plans and decided to first use up our free vouchers and entitlements right away as we did not want to waste any of the offers

          It was only when we first tried to utilise our free vouchers, that we realised that all those promises of easy reservation system, excellent service, extended help-desk, a travel desk to help us with great offers and deals on airline tickets and hotel discounts at any time were mere sales gimmics. A member cannot attempt to book any holiday before 6 months and even when he attempts to book within the 6 month period he is usually faced with a `No Availability' situation. Mr. Farshogar and Mr. Lalit had very categorically told us earlier while selling us the membership that if we every had any problem trying to get a reservation, it would be better to do all reservations through them and that we were welcome there anytime. However when we tried to take their assistance in getting a reservation they kept on committing that they would revert to us with the availability, but in effect they wouldnt call us back unless we again went to their office or called them.

          It was first in the midst of Dec-2009 that my wife gave them certain dates for a holiday for which Lalit was to revert within 24 to 48 hours. However no one reverted despite reminders and then Lalit suddenly disappeared apparently for a surgery.

          When we personally visited their office to express our regress Farshogar and others in your office took the excuse of Lalit's surgery and blamed it on Lalit that he had not communicated anything to the office before proceeding on leave and hence the problem.

          Thereafter we took cognigance of Farshogar's assurance and waited for him to respond. He too failed to revert to us as assured.

          When we again visited their office personally again in the 3rd week of January-2010, quite disgusted with their service and care-less attitude towards the customers, we were told by Lalit that it was Farshogar's to be blamed for showing insensitivity towards the customers that has caused this and that he would now personally see to it that we got the bookings. It was our marriage anniversary on 26th Jan and we had been hopefully planning to have a nice trip during the long anniversary weekend - all our hopes and dreams were shattered due to Club Mahindra and we were eventually unable to make any anniversary holiday plans, thanks to the sleazy attitude and postponing tactics of Club Mahindra and its officers.

          Finally, after having missed on planning out a holiday and wasted our holidays, in frustration I finally wrote a complaint to them on [protected]@clubmahindra.com. Even in all that time that went by after the false assurances, still Lalit had not yet gotten back to us. This is despite giving him the dates in writing and handing over BOTH our vouchers to him for doing the needful.

          We were by then completely convinced that all the assurances of servicing and 5 star holidays are nothing but ways to dupe people into taking a membership. There is no customer service driven approach in the company and it is completely a person dependant process leaving the customers to the mercy of any personnel who can choose to keep taking the customer for a ride without any accountability.

          We did not apply for a CM membership in order to be taken for granted and harrassed (and mentally tortured) merely for encashing even our vouchers / bonus weeks - even when we had not yet even begun using our membership benefits. It completely appears to be a highly misrepresented scheme by a well trained marketing team for luring gullible members with false committments and promises.

          We have not yet availed of even a single membership benefit till date and wish to terminate the membership with retrospective effect. You are requested to assist us please in getting a complete refund of all our upfront membership fees paid plus the amounts thereafter charged to our credit card till date alongwith suitable compensation for all the mental agony, torture and waste of time that the company and its officers have been putting us through. It is our very hard earned money and we were hoping to make the best use of it by having some vacations together. Club Mahindra has fleeced us of our hard earned money through false promises and caused us a lot of mental torture, waste of time and energy and missed special occassions because of their one-sided, monopolistic and restrictive practices.

          Club Mahindra inndulges in luring prospects with lucrative offers, which in effect can actually never be utilised or can in some lucky occassions be only partially utilised. In exchange for this, they fleece the prospective member off handsome moneys from their hard toiled earnings and bind them to the torturous end of a 25 year committment wherein it is only the members loss always if he does not cough out money at beck and call of Club Mahindra but has no recourse to demand his rights or services as promised.

          I am lucky then. I too was lured to attend the so called presentation with my wife at leela Galeria in Bangalore with the same tricks/carrots.
          One guy gave the presentation and drained out my energy with the deluge of photos of empty resorts with unoccupied rooms waiting for me and almost convinced me to join. Till then he told me only about the annual maintenance fee of 8000. Then came the manager and asked me to cough up around 3.5 lakh for a RED membership. RED is an apt color as it triggered alarm bells and I asked the manager or explain the maths. The same money put in a good growth fund + annual maintenance fee would add up to aournd 40K a year discounting inflation with which I can choose a decent hotel in any place I wish and not get tied to places which CM has a presence. He took offence to it and told me bluntly that he is not there to explain the financial plan and that a finance VP from Goldman Sachs has bought the membership just yesterday and crap like that. I walked out. Did this research. And thanked my stars.

          I am also a Club Mahindra member since 2 years, and coincidently it was Mr Farshogar who we had met at the time of enrollment.

          We were promised a few benifits, of which one was not fulfilled, and still is not fulfilled to this day.

          I was told that as part of the discount, Mr Farshogar will give my membership no as reference to 2 new joinees, and that I will be receiving a referal amount of Rs 15000 from that, as part of my joining discount.

          It has been 2 years since then, and I have followed up with him atleast 30 to 40 times ... most of the time he doe not take my call or reply. Each time he promises me that it will be done shortly, or next month etc.

          Apart from that, I have had a great experiences with my Holidays at Club Mahida and RCI resorts, and overall its great.

          Just this issue of false promise and cheating by Mr. Farshogar from CR2 office which leaves a bad taste, and I will surely not advice anyone to join from that centre.

          Not sure if all centres have this way to entice customers who are not totally convinced to join with false promises.

          Hope someone from Club Mahindra solves my problem.

          Hi,

          Wanted to update on my issue.

          I went to the CR2 office on 30th April, as Mr Farshogar was not responding to my calls and sms.

          When I confronted him, first he said that the referal scheme had closed for the past 18 months, and it was not possible to pay me the Rs 12000 that were promised. He offered to give me food vouchers for the same amount, which I would have to use at the resorts.

          I was not convinced, as he had been promising me every month for past 2 years.

          I also spoke to Mr Lalit, who was Farshogar's manager. He was most unprofessional, saying that he was not the manager when I bought the holiday, so it was between Farshogar and the earlier manager.

          I was persistant and refused to leave the place without speaking to someone senior. Then Farshogar said he will talk to the Sales head ... but instead left the shop and went out for around 20 minutes.

          Eventually, he came back and said that he will pay me Rs 12000 cash as was commited earlier, and that I would have to write a letter that I had no further claim in this regard.

          I took the amount, and signed on a letter that he had typed.

          Turned out that he had paid the money from his own account.

          I did feel sorry for him, but at the same time, he was clearly misleading and avoiding me for the past 2 years, so I think he deserved it.

          Inspite of this settlement, it was a very unpleasant experience for 2 years to deal with this issue.

          I would like to reiterate that I am extremely happy with my holidays at Club Mahindra Properties and the service there.


          Anyone wanting to join as a member, please be aware of what is promised to you, and ensure that its fulfilled there and then.

          we had same experience two years back when Mr.Vinit from Andheri Office contacted us. Promised a lot. and Confirmed membership, telling it is last day for benefits to get 32" Sony Bravia TV and other benefits. As we were unaware about the offers, he called his senior Mr. Jayant who agreed to give maximum benefits given to any of the new member, Which was complimentary(Free) 14days Club Mahindra and 14days RCI, some other Food vouchers and some cash Discount. Later when we received documents, it was one week complimentary only. We called hundreds of times to Vinit and sent many emails for 6months, but no reply and some time, he said he is in meeting and will call back, but he never called back. After making so much communication with their Andheri office, after about a year, they agreed to give complimentary 14days at Club Mahindra and 14days RCI. We requested to extend period till 2011 to use complimentary days, as offer was finalised after about a year. They say it is expired and can not be extended. We never get reservation when we require. How can we use our regular holidays and complimentary days ? Whenever we call, booking is not available. As my sons are studying, We have to adjust in school holidays only.
          October 4, 2011, Chnadigarh- I got the same call today afternoon that i have won the lucky draw of two night three days stay at any of the club mahindra resorts of your choice in india..I just have to come to there office in sector 35 chandigarh with my wife and sign the papers as if they are alloting me the flat free of cost, , hehehe..SO just after the call i googled and clicked vaoius links and here comes the REALITY!!!

            Termination of membership
            Membership id-1661888: mrs geeta gupta & gp capt (retd) pk gupta (co-member)

            1. brand name ‘ mahindra’ was the single most important factor when we decided to take club mahindra holidays membership on 31 dec 2009. my association with company in the farm sector for 35 years was the best guarantee. we trusted every written or spoken word of your executives.

            2. on receipt of membership documents/card etc, we discovered certain discrepancies in the promised and written facts.

            (a) we were promised additional gift vouchers of shoppers stop of rs 3000/-. the sales executive mr. aquib at ansal plaza, andrews gunj, new delhi informed us that it was a special offer if we took the membership on 31 dec. and, since, he had run out of the stock, the gift vouchers would come by post along with other membership documents. he also offered to drop these vouchers at my residence in dwarka. we had no reason to suspect the offer or the executive. however, we have not received these vouchers so far.

            (b) a 60 months payment plan was recommended, which we accepted. after the govt discount and other incentives, an amount of rs 216121/- was worked out towards 25 years membership, against which we paid rs 25126/-. also, emi rs 4739/- was fixed. however, at no stage did mr aquib or his senior (mr sajid - i guess), mention charging of interest on emi. the interest is levied on equated monthly installments (emi) for the period of default or delay only.
            (c) asf of rs 8043 /- was explained. but it was never made explicit that it was to be charged ‘irrespective o[censored]sage’. we carried the impression that it was to be paid only in the year o[censored]sage. well, this could be our poor understanding but such vital aspects ought to be made clear to ‘not so knowledgeable customers who are venturing into such contracts for the first time and do not understand nuances. voluminous and legally fortified terms & conditions are always not possible to be read and understood then and there. besides, sales wizards apply every trick in the book, some times at the cost of ethic and name of the company.

            3. all this was taken up with mr aquib by my wife. for about a week, mr aquib kept assuring her of action. but nothing happened and there after, he stopped taking her calls. on my asking him the progress, he advised me to get in touch with his superiors as it was not his job to settle such issues. when i confronted him as to why he made the promise of free gift vouchers, he asked me in a very rude and insulting manner to produce the documentary evidence of his promise. similarly, when asked as to why the issue of charging interest on emi or payment of asf irrespective o[censored]sage was not explained properly, his reply was most derogatory. he said ‘boss, you didn’t ask me, so i did’nt tell you’. he had no answer to my argument that how shoppers stop came to my mind and if the interest on emi was explained properly, we might have taken an interest free option avoiding excess payment of rs 90, 000/appx towards membership.


            4. i sought mr sajid’s help. he heard me out and promised me to visit my place with mr aquib. unfortunately, even after reminders and repeated shifting of date & time for meeting, he did not turn up. another senior person (mr. sanjai-i guess), told me that the gift vouchers had been received by mr sajid who was in chennai for official work. mr sanjai also offered to come to my residence on a particular date & time, but he also kept on shifting the meeting on the pretext that he would only come along with gift vouchers after mr sajid returns from chennai. sadly, we did not hear any thing for them thereafter.

            5. frustrated, we decided to visit mahindra towers at bhikaji kama place on 05 feb10 (friday) and wanted to meet mr. midha. we were told at the reception that mr midha was not in the office and they did not have his mobile number. (fair enough, i do not know whether it was company policy or my case did not merit his attention). ms shikha attended to us. i also spoke to mr sanjiv kr. (i guess i/c delhi region), who asked me to meet him on 06 feb 10 (saturday). however, later i was told that mr sanjiv was committed elsewhere and would see me only on 09 feb10 (tuesday). as i was going out of station, i requested ms shikha to re-chech if mr sanjiv could accommodate me on 06 feb10 any time. ms shikha did call back saying that mr sanjiv has now agreed to meet me on 06 feb and would give 1/1-1/2 hr notice so that i could reach the appointed place of meeting on time.

            6. on 06 feb, when i did not hear either from ms shikha or mr. sanjiv till 2 pm, i called mahindra towers. the phone was answered by security who informed me that saturday being half day, every one had packed up. i called mr sanjiv on his mobile a number of times, but my calls were not answered. finally, i sent him two messages, where in he graciously conceded to my request and wrote that he would call me at around — (no time given). i waited through whole of saturday waiting to hear either from ms shikha or mr sanjiv. appalled, i am wondering as to where the buck would stop.

            7. we feel very humiliated by the conduct of various functionaries at every level. unparalleled apathy, providing information selectively and gross neglect of ethical practices by sales staff (in the name of meeting the targets) compels me to think whether the company mahindra deserves such people.in the final analysis, it is the company’s name that will take the beating and not the staff (which always seeks greener pastures).

            8. under the circumstances, i find it difficult to continue with the membership. if at the outset we can be treated like the way we have been, who knows what will happen in future.

            9. please take action to discontinue emi payments (ecs) from my a/c no. [protected] at syndicate bank, 27 ed, air force, pinto park, palam, new delhi. also make arrangements to refund the entire amount paid by me so far. also advise me before hand the deductions, if any. the refund cheque can be sent to the same bank above in the name of gp capt pk gupta.

            10.in convenience is regretted. let me make it clear that i have tried my best to avoid taking such step, but in vein.

            Club mahindra... Stay away from the company... I am a (Un-happy) member too, even after paying so much, i do not get my holidays, they ask us to plan 6 months in advance, all services in their resorts are to be paid extra, dining charges are too high, asf (Annual subscription fees) to be paid extra each year in addition to membership fees (The asf charges increase every year), not all resorts have kitchenettes... Long list of issues which the management doesn;t care for, all they want is to make new members. A review is also posted at http://shib4u.blogspot.com/2009/04/club-mahindra-review.html.

            Indira - please stop posting the same old lines on all the complaints, whatever the resolution, please post it here so that everyone should know what cm is doing for the complaints.

                I have taken a membership of Club Mahindra in last Dec but regret my decision to do so as even after giving more than 10 options for dates & location for my first vacation, none of these were available. So I have decided to cancel the membership & I have given request for cancellation of my membership (membership no. 1648372) in third week of Dec 09. I am following up with the club mahindra for last more than 35 days for refund of my money but they are delaying the refund for no reason. I was informed that refund will take 30 days & now even after more than 30 days, no refund is processed so far. When i have enquired about the same, now they have informed me that refund will take 45 days. During this period since Dec 09, I have written so many mails & given number of calls but Club Mahindra team did not even bothered to give me a feed back on my refund status on their own. It is very sad on part of one of leading Indian group like Mahindra & its shows their responsiveness towards customers. While influencing the customers for enrolling for the membership they don’t give even a day to think whereas when it comes to refund the amount, this is a way they are acting.

                  At the time of taking the membership your sales executive mr vikas arora had told me to deposit rs 31113/- and he will get me rs 6000/- through your scheme of introducing friend. During aug 09 when i called him for booking, he told me to send mail at his e-mail id. When i submitted the dates and enquired about rs 6000/- he stopped attending my calls. Whenever i managed to contact him through different no. His reply was that he will call me lattar. This was repeated many times and one day he suggested me to sent an application for refund. As i feel cheated by your employee and on his words i had submmited the following application at your lucknow branch at wave mall. 20 days back.

                  Club Mahindra Holiday & Resorts Ltd. — Membership money non refund

                  Hi,

                  I have given my 1st complaint against the same company two months back for non refunding my membership money. I had paid Rs. 5564 wide my Axis Bank Debit card on Sep 17,09 and Today I come to know that employees of club mahindra has not at all accounted my money in their system for past two months. I asked for refund of the membership money and I was asked to pay additional amount toward down payment, which club mahindra can deducted toward cancellation charges to their soal discreation without giving any account for deduction.

                  We have time and again called the concern branch to reverse the transaction pay off the amount but nothing has been happening.

                  Club mahindra has looted our money by not accounting in system for which no record in system is found. Byy closure of the year they will flexibally account the same in their income.

                  These sales people of club mahindra did not tell the full information and misguide the customer and in case of refund they start talking abusive languages.

                  I started feeling that even the consumer forum is sleeping on subject and dont find any action beside a mail from club mahindra saying that they will get back in 2 working days.

                  I expect concrete action from consumer forum and refund of Rs.5564 from club mahindra.

                    Resorts are never available: Club Mahindra will go on increasing the number of members but does not bother about increasing the resorts. Result is that the number of room nights possible across all resorts in the entire year is much less the no of room nights they have promised to their members as a whole. This is a simple calculation which can be done by looking at the data disclosed in their offer document filed at the time of IPO. How do they plan to satisfy their customers in such a situation. Obviously, you have to book six months in advance if you want to book for a weekend. Planning six months in advance in this jet-age is a joke!! I would not suggest anybody to waste money over this membership. Even if you are inclined to take membership, you should buy it from members who are ready to sell it at great discount. Check Orkut, Facebook or EBay. There are hundreds of members giving discount.

                    Cheater is the other name for Club Mahindra.

                    Don't buy any club mahindra product.

                    Don't attend calls from club Mahindra...They call by saying you have won a gift voucher and 2 movie tickets.

                      I had registered as a member of Club mahindra at their Gurgaon Sales office in Mega Mall (#124, Mega Mall, DLF Phase 1, Gurgaon - 122002) on 5th April 2008. I gave Rs 29978 through my credit card. I cancelled the membership on 11th April i.e. after 6 days. I was told that I can cancell within 10 days if I do not like. There after I had sent numerous mails and made at least 50 calls to their Delhi office in Pitampure. Every time I get the reponse that this month by 15th I will get back my money. 22 months have been elapsed and I have not got my money back. My membership no is: 633508.

                        Dear Sirs,
                        We were called by the sales office people of the above said company telling that "we are the previlleged couple who have been selected ananymously as cellphone users & invited for some gift package". Also we were told to come along with spouse to the office situated at 4th Block, Jayanagar (next to bust stand). When we went there, they told us full length about the company & the future prospectous. We were made to commit to accept this offer at that point of time only. During discussion, sale executive told us all rosy picture only. But, he has not told us about "what will happen to our hard earned money if we cancelled the membership". Also they have not given us time to take the brouchers to home, study the details & understand the terms & conditions mentioned in their membership rule book. & then to apply for the membership. Every thing the executive made us to commit sitting across the table & sign the membership forum. During that time, I was not haveing the money to pay membership fee since I was not knowing any thing ( why he called us? & what for he called us?). So immediately, the executive after filling membership admission form, he sent his office staff along with me to my house to get the A/c payee cheque of Rs. 20,000/- from me (cheque book was at home). Overall, the executive & the Club Mahindra Holidays company has cheeted my hard earned money of almost 1,00,000/- (approximately) by not telling me the truth, if I reject the Club Mahindra membership. Infact, I tried to contact the chairmen of Club Mahindra Holidays & inform him about "How his team is fooling with common man of the country. Unfortunately, I couldn't get his contact address , e-mail id or phone number.
                        Hence I request your kind attention in solving this issue & get my hard earned money back form the Club Mahindra Holidays.

                        Mahindra Holidays and Resort India Limited — Refund of money

                        I have been made a member by compelling. The article written is repoduced below:

                        "WHITE CALLER ROBBERS:

                        My wife Sangita was very happy on that day afternoon. I did not not know any reason for it. I enquired what has made her so happy. She answered, “Dear, there was a phone call from M/s Reliance retail. We are lucky. We have won the lucky draw”

                        At around 2’0 clock I received a call on my mobile by a very sweet voice asking us to be present at their, “Mahindra Holidays and Resort office” positively by 7’O clock along with my wife. One more reminder at 5’0 clock to be present their positively.

                        My wife and I were on the way to “Mahindra Resort” in a posh locality few Kilometers from Railway Station. On the way there was one more phone-call confirming our visit to M/s Mahindra Resort office. I got puzzled. I could not understand how the giver of gift is more interested than the receiver of the gift.

                        At last we reached our destination. We saw the section of the office, divided into four cubicles. We were greeted very heartily but advised to wait till our turn. We saw three couples in the age group of 35-50 years all seated along with the executives of the M/s Mahindra Resort. The room was well decorated with picturesque of hilly resort views and Beach Resorts. It did not take much time to correlate our gift and scene seen there. I was overhearing the conversation between the couples and Mahindra Resort executives. The executives were busy in impressing the couples, how best their offer at the cost which they called as pea-nut cost. After some time one couple got up from their seats. One executive announced the names of the couple and told everybody they have joined their family of M/s Mahindra Resort. A photograph was taken and everybody clapped in token of welcome. We also joined them and clapped together.

                        Then comes, our turn. We were given a seat around the round table along with a Personnel computer. One executive sat with us and started giving the detailed information about their various resorts in India and displaying the video of resorts, various facilities available, the varieties of offers, the time period availability, free gifts etc. I was least interested in listening to all these. I told what about our gift of free stay. What most interested me was least interested to him. However after repeated insistence, he replied, don’t worry, you will get a letter from us after completing some formalities. You will get a free accommodation in our five star resorts in specific period after specific period depending upon the availability for 2 adult and 2 children. (After hearing this I confirmed that these people are ensuring that how given facility will not be utilized). Other thing like arranging tickets, local tours, food and taxes etc will be extra and payable by you.

                        Before I get a further detail one more executive joined us. He tried first to convince and then enforce their membership on us. The no of benefits were told. The benefits to Cost ratio as per them was more than 10. I tried to calculate the same ratio in my perspective which was exactly reverse i.e 1 is to 10. However my wife started seeing plus points and requested the executives to convince me for becoming the member. She told that the next day is her Birthday. This clue was more than sufficient for them. The group of their executive came and persuaded me and said, how I can miss such a splendid opportunity to give membership of their “Mahindra Resort” to my wife. For a moment Hasbnd in me arouse and thought, I can give this gift to her. They noted the slight change in my mood and put forth the “Money implication”. They said what is it? Only small investment for short period and you will enjoy for entire next 30 years. (I started calculating …. I am already around 50 years, my wife with so many health complications… who will give guarantee even for next 10 years?). The executive understood my problem and gave me immediate solution. You can easily pass on your membership to anybody; at small cost also you can gift your Resort facility to somebody else. It does not suite me. Even for giving Rs 100/- to somebody I always calculate what in return I will get from him / her. In order to escape from all these I opened up the last weapon. I said all these things are OK, but I donot have any money now. I neither have any credit card nor I carrying a cheque. “Don’t worry, our officer will come along with you to your residence. We will collect the cheque from their. To this I could not say No. The officer followed us till home at 10, 00 PM. I gave a cheque for minimum amount to be paid. Then he asked me give one more cancelled cheque, Not knowing the repercussions I signed and gave it to him. The officer was smarter than I thought, he gave one more offer. He said if I pay 100% of due amount, I would get such and such relaxation and if I pay 50 % of the due amount I would will get some other type of concession. Over and above you will get one more free stay to be utilized during next six months. This time I was firm and decided not to gain further in the eyes of Mahindra resort and lose in my terms my own calculation.

                        From the above episode I though these executive think that the people like us are free enough and rich enough to go abroad every year and enjoy the holidays.

                        After a gap of month and so, I gave second though to be member of the co. I wrote to M/s “Mahindra Resort” for ceasing my membership and discontinue deduction of ECS. My banks flatly refused to help me stopping the ECS. M/s Mahindra Resort also refused to pay back my money. On the contrary started claiming cancellation charges, enrollment charges, Gift charges etc totaling to Rs 1.5 Lacs. I was surprised, the company who has given us free gift for stay of ¾ days at resort claiming money from me instead of giving gift and refunding my money which was paid due to undue pursuance by them.

                        For these people I donot have any better word than “THE WHITE CALLER ROBBERS”

                        I sincerely advise all of you to beware of all these so called “THE WHITE CALLER ROBBERS”

                        I followed up a lot for refund of money. However instead of refunding the money they are asking the money back from me for the facilities which I never used and the co has promised me to give it in future.

                        I replied many a times that I am not interested in continuing membership of your "Mahindra Holidays and Resorts India Ltd". I have given my detail, under what circumtance my family has opted for membership. At the cost of repetition I am once again attaching the copy of the "article" which is almost true. If you have not taken a pain of reading it please do read it even if you have read it earlier.




                        Considering the cirucumtances and force your officers have made, I once again sincerly request you to cease my membership and return the money due for me. (Please give me letter stating that you have stopped deduction of ECS and will not make any deduction in futrue).

                        Your logic of deduction has no meaning and do not hold any water in common court of law. I donot know how co like yous is grabbing money by forcing the customers to become member. Instead of giving the prize (which you have promised it through M/s Reliance Retail), you are begging from the customers. It is shameless on your part to repeatedly give calculation which means that customer should pay for the facilities which he /she has never used and you have promised it give it in future.


                        I still hope you will return my money along with interest.

                        Yesterday I also got same call for visiting Mahindra Resort office and get Free Voucher for 3/4 night stay at any 12 mahindra resorts.
                        Thanks for putting this here so that I could save my time and money from such cheaters. Althought I got confirmation on my cell (even before visit or meet ever with a single officer of Mahindra) that your free voucher is activated. How shamless people they are having such big name they are cheating people like this.
                        Hope you will get your money back.

                          Yercaud trip was our first time family trip to a Club Mahindra associated resort. To tell the fact, it was one of the best experience of a holiday. Right from the services provided to the ambience, everything was perfect for relaxation. The antiques of the heritage resort, even in the unnoticed regions, uniquely designed rooms covering, scenic beauty, activities conducted bring people closer. Be it the morning trek or the night bon fire, gave a touch of an excellent unforgettable holiday!

                            I have applied for cancellation of my membership no.1473579. Along with my cancellation request I have expressed my willingness to complete 25% payment which is required as per the terms and conditions of the membership.

                            I have sent several reminders to Member Relations Team of Club Mahindra , however there is no action regarding the cancellation.

                                  I have a concern to share with you and really need you support on this.

                                  I become a member of Club Mahindra on 25th June 08 for 1BR Red and deposited Rs.[protected]+25000+5292). Due to some personal reasons I cancelled the member ship the very next day i.e. 26th Jun 08. And the cancellation letter was received by Mr. S.K Jha on the same date. According to him, the companies rule were that the payment will be done with in a maximum period of one month.

                                  We regret to say that even after a lapse of almost 1 year 7 months we did not receive either the refund or any positive response from the company. Even after several personal visits to the Noida office, and numerous phone calls to Mr. S. K Jha.

                                  The last time we visited the Noida office which is in Centre stage Mall in Noida on Mar 20, 2009. And had a discussion over the phone with a lady from the consumer concern depatt of club mahindra. that we might get our payment by end of the week. We again wrote a reminder mail on Mar 21, 2009 to the consumer service deptt.

                                  We regret to say that yet we have not recived our money back it has been about 1 year an d 7 months that we have been writting to the company and visting the office to get the money back.

                                  It will be very kind of you of helping us in getting our money back.I stay in Noida, sec 33. Please contact me on my number Shalini Singh [protected]

                                    I am also another of the ones who got sucked into the aggresive marketing efforts of m/s club mahindra holidays, who after getting the membership forms signed and getting the money never care to deliver what they promise to offer.

                                    The free offers, offered at the time of signing up have not been delivered and everytime i tried to avail my holidays i have been always waitlisted and if i want accommodation in south india they will w/l and as an alternate give you accommodation in north india. When i wanted something in north india they were offering in south india.

                                    It is a ridiculous module they offer and ask you to book 6 months to 1 year in advance which in itself is ridiculous.

                                    Anyway i with membership no 576355 signed up in jan 2008 have sent umpteen emails to cancel my membership and refund me my hard earned money, stop withdrawing money through ecs but all have fallen on deaf ears and till date nobody has responded.

                                    Well the only course left with me is to seek legal help which will only add to my agony and expense.

                                    Please be careful of club mahindra holidays who are not giving lifetime of fun filled holidays but lifetime of headaches.

                                    I am afraid there is no redressal to my problem and request and my only request to m/s club mahindra holidays is to cancel my membership and refund me my entire money as your promises are false about tension free holidays.

                                    Accommodations are never available when required and your consumer staff is incapable of answering queries and the module you offer of booking accommodations 06 months to 01 year is ridiculous.

                                    Do you plan your holidays 1 year in advance is the question to you and to all who are signing up for your membership???

                                      My name is Shadilal I went to Binsar along with my wife & my friend. We enjoyed the resort stay beyond expectations, the environment is so clear we forget the daily routine & become so refreshed. The staff were so cordial & cooperative and we can’t forget the hospitality. The food was so good – reminds me of home cooked food.

                                      We also enjoyed their new launched Manipur villa and look forward to more such holidays.
