Hi, This is neeraj sharma. I am a Airtel postpaid customer. I contacted Airtel customer care on 20th Aug, 2013 regarding revised tarriff plan. I spoke to 3 care representative and all of them disconnected my call. The first person i spoke to was Chandani, the 2nd person was Khushbo and the last person was sandeep. I just wanted to know that being such a renouned company this is how you treat ur customers. I am very disappointed with such behaviour. I am getting rid of this post paid connection very soon. Where there is no VALUE for ur CUSTOMERS, there wont be any customers. AIRTEL customer Service SUCKS. Call me i[censored] have any value for ur customer on [protected].

    We are using Airtel DTH for 3-4 years and keep updating the instrument with time. This time we made a request for replacement on 6-Aug-2013 and paid 750/- instantly and 125/- for installation too. Now we are following with them multiple times everyday to get the device. They haven't given a single positive reply. It looks like Bharati Airtel is cheating and cashing on its good reputation. Though they have earned everything but respect. They can't honor their own loyal consumers and interact just to collect money. They leave consumer helpless and become so unreasonable at times when asked for the delivery of services they have charged. I have a strong complaint against them as they are not behaving in proper business ethics and being so insensitive towards the agony of costumers. My Airtel Setup Box [protected]

      Hi, myself mohammed ameenulla, not a hectic one but the attentiveness is important from executives who attend calls.. I tried calling to customer support executive today(19-august-2013) for the deactivation of internet package. But the executives ignored my calls thrice after knowing my request of deactivation. After third attempt i was not able to call back them. Further, there was no response from them. Hence, i request your committee, to select the attentive candidates as executives, or the present ones may spoil your brand image, whatever airtel created till today..       I am bhim sain. my mobile no [protected]. internet not work properly.plz solve this problem
      I Jitender Kumar Kukreja, consumer of Airtel IP TV connection and the Number of my land line phone is[protected] and i am totally disagree with the billing system of the Airtel company due to they have charged DSL Charges every month and i don'nt have any service of their Anti virus. In every month we have called to the customer care they assured us that charges will not include next time in your bill but is repeatedly every time.
      You are requested to go through the matter personally, so that the same will not happen next time.
      I have purcase a new phone & there is facebook for 12 months free & 500MB of 3g data free for 1 month my mobile no is [protected] & IMEI no is [protected] can u please do it for me .CLAYTON PEREIRA

        I have applied for postpaid to prepaid conversion for my mobile number on 31st July,2013. Till it's pending. I visited two times to saltlake citycenter airtel store in kolkata. But no action was taken. Then I complained so many times to airtel customer care by email. But still it's pending. I haven't expected this type of harassment from airtel. Because I am using another airtel no for a long time and also I am using airtel DTH. But now I have decided that I'll go for MNP to vodafone. I have submitted the required documents also.

        I am Dilip Sen apply to convert my mobile no-[protected] from prepaid to post paid on 06.09.2013 by Airtel store at city center - I, salt lake, Kolkata. But till today it is pending. I call them several time but they are not entertain me properly. I think this is happening with customer due to
        miss management & callousness of Customer Service Team. I am a user of Airtel DTH & two nos. mobile set but I am totally upset with this type of customer service.

I have submitted all the documents (voter id and photo) to airtel store citycenetr and also I emailed the softcopy of those but till it's pending. I contacted with the customer care executive of saltlake city center airtel store kolktata so many times. His name is Mr. Suman Chakroborty.

          I have paid Rs.200/- for my account number id [protected] through dealer mobile number [protected] under transaction id 37093188
          on 26th july 2013. But before the stipulated period of one month time i.e. up to 25th August 2013 But i am receiving a message that my id no
          expires today i.e. 19th august and ask me to recharge immediately for continuous services by paying the amount. Please clarify over phone or

            I am an Airtel Postpaid Customer(275 plan).For the months of July and August ,i took mobile internet plans of Rs.125 and Rs.150 respectively.However,i have been charged Rs.7254.91 as the bill dated[protected].On speaking with customer care executives,i have been informed that the plan of Rs.150 which i took on August 1 wasn't accounted for my data usage.


            When i took the Rs.150 plan,i was not intimated about the non-accounting of data usage (of the plan Rs.150-500 MB 2g & 500 MB-3g plan) in the running billing cycle.The lack of clarity provided in your data plan have caused charging unfair bill on me.

            I feel cheated by the billing which was based on lack of clarity provided to me.Airtel is infact tricking its customer and exploiting money.
            Can you guys please help out.

            Airtel Postpaid — Bills never ever received 2004 onwards

            For a very long period,no bills received. Contacting the responsible person is impossible either on e mail or on phone Their SMS and reminders when the due date is close/approaching work super fine.

            This is in regard to My postpaid Number: [protected]

            I was in the Plan CUG 298 which offered me 400 MB free data per month.
            Last month I received a bill of amount 2271.09/- Dated 21-Sep-2013 . After calling the customer care for several times regarding the clarification of the Bill regarding the Data, as there was no response, I told that I will not pay the bill till Airtel gives me the explanation.

            What happened actually was one day I sent a mail with 15 mb attachments. But as Airtel has capped the size at 10 MB I could not send the mail and more over Data has been consumed over the entire night and nearly 700 MB was consumed for one mail. Now they are saying that they could not waiver the Amount. Why should I pay 1800/- for one mail and that is because of Airtel's Mistake. I tried to explain the situation every time I call and they just don't care.

            As I moved to another location I disconnected the Number. So I also gave a alternate number but they did not even call on that and sent a mail saying as they could not reach me (Obviously because Airtel disconnected the number) they will proceed legally.
            Even after all this I called the Customer care giving my alternate number again but again to listen to all sorrys but no help.

            Please help me resolve this issue. Also they already have Rs.500/- as my Advance I gave before getting the connection. I am willing to pay 200 or 300 additional to the 500 advance I paid if needed.

              Deduction of main balance even when 3G data pack is active

              I have been using my airtel number [protected] (pre-paid) for the past 2.2 years. Recently I used their 3G recharge of Rs.103 which gives 300Mb data balance for 30 days. Since then i have been experiencing loss in main data balance frequently, as it would give me a msg " you have been charged Rs.X.XX from your a/c". The loss value depends upon my browsing session.                 someone is calling me continuously from 2 days. i dont know even their language , they are using short of abusive words.

                  I recharged for 28 (Airtel 3g pack) in airtel website on 16th of Aug. It failed and money was deducted. When i called customer care they said it will be credited back to the account in 4 days.
                  I thought the problem was temporary and i recharged for 28 again on 19th of august. It failed again. I thought the issue was only with 28 pack and since i was very much out of balance, I recharged for full talktime 200 and it still failed.
                  I got one genuine question for airtel.

                  WHY THE HELL YOU MAINTAIN AN ONLINE RECHARGING WEBSITE WHEN ITS SOLE PURPOSE IS TO STEAL MONEY ?

                  Below are the transaction ids for which money was deducted.
                  727703 - INR 28
                  117396 - INR 28
                  117825 - INR 200

                  A total of Rs. 256 has to be credited back to my account. Better do it asap you thieves. I'm already frustrated to the core and dont test my patience.

                  WHY THE HECK DO YOU DISPLAY MAKE ANOTHER TRANSACTION BUTTON IN THE FAILED TRANSACTION PAGE ? To steal more and more money ?

                  Such a pathetic and unreliable network you are.
                  It was with so much urgency i tried to activate the 3g pack and it failed pathetically. I ran out of balance and wanted to desperately recharge my account and it failed.

                  Keep money first and customers next and thats how you guys grow up in this corrupted country. Money minded creeps.

                    I recharged online for activating 3G on my phone on 16th Aug 2013. The amount got deducted and Transaction failed.
                    I was informed that i will get my refund in 4 days.
                    I thought there was some technical issues at that time so i tried recharging for 28 on 19th Aug, but it still failed deducting money from my account.
                    Ok i still thought that recharging for 28 was the problem and i tried recharging for 200 full talktime. It still failed with error.
                    I just have a genuine question to Airtel.

                    WHY THE HECK DO YOU HAVE AN ONLINE RECHARGING WEBSITE WHEN ITS SOLE PURPOSE IS JUST TO STEAL MONEY ???

                    A total of 256 Rupees has been deducted in my ICICI account and the screenshots have been attached. You better credit back my money you theives.

                          I am facing problem from Airtel Broadband. I called to Just dial and recieved call from the Sai Broadband service ROhini. RAM SUSHIL([protected]) visited to my home and took all the documents and payment from me on dated 14th Aug 2013 and commitment done till 16th morning your broadband service will be activated but till now(18th Aug 2013) the service is not activated no one came to install the braodband service and when i am calling to the sai braodband and the sales executive then they are behaving bad and not providing me the the service and making me fool..........

                          Airtel Broadband (at LUCKNOW) is delaying the re-activation of my existing Broadband connection for quite sometime. They want to charge once again of modem and other stuff which they have not asked me for at the time of de-activation.                               I requested disconnection and termination of my Airtel Postpaid connection, [protected], on March 10th, 2013 (nodalofficer.[protected]@in.airtel.com; [protected]@in.airtel.com; appellate.[protected]@in.airtel.com). I still have not received the refund of my security deposit despite several requests. All I get are excuses and the same template emails from who does not know what to do or is unwilling to sort the problem out.
                              I have now instructed a firm of lawyers to chase this and the bill to Airtel will include their costs.
                              I recommend that each and every one of you do the same and then let's see how quickly Airtel pays up or rectifies problems where you are owed money.
                              Don't let these bunch of thieves get away with it.
                              Also, warn each and every one of your friends and relatives to stay well away from these bunch of crooks. I have and this has resulted in 5 terminations/migrations and 8 people not signing up with them who were considering it. Hit them where it hurts!

                              amount Rs424 was reversed on 6th March2009 in my citi bank cred card account
                              without any information, Now i've confirmed and checked this with citi bank no

                              hour's.Right now i have no due's with airtel still they are troubling by sending SMS

                              I was looking for a wifi connection and with the recommendation of someone i chose AIRTEL.
                              A representative of AIRTEL Mr Mangal - [protected] came to my place on 16th Dec 2009 to fulfill my requirements and after checking all the lines and everything I was told that I will be easily getting a connection within a week.
                              He took ADVANCE OF RS 1000 cash from me- RS 500 for the modem and RS 500 the installation charges.
                              But as expected there was no response from this person instead I contacted him. Then he told that already there is congestion in my area and the required connection would NOT be possible.
                              And I was told that the refund of Rs 1000 will be done in 45 days.There was no response from any of the representatives and that person was and still is out of contact.
                              After more than 45 days I received a REFUND Cheque from AIRTEL. And to my surprise the Cheque was of only Rs 100 instead of Rs 1000.
                              And now there is none to listen to our cpmplaints and I have no idea as to why Rs 900 have been deducted.
                              I want an answer soon else my next step would be to approach CONSUMER COURT. I do not care about how much money and time of mine will be wasted .

                              airtel postpaid services — refund of deposit

                              Hello Everyone:

                              I paid a deposit for international roaming in Feb. 2009 for my parents who were travelling abroad. Amount Rs. 4500. After they returned, asked for a refund of the amount. Nothing up until now.

                              Have been complaining about poor connectivity at my residence. Not been resolved since ages. I get a SMS that the matter has been resolved. I should be the one to make this statement. But, the irony is that they send it.

                              I had to go abroad during the last week ofFfeb. 2010. Paid a refundable deposit of Rs. 4500. The services were not activated. Came back and sent a complaint. They are still investigating.When the matter will be sorted out is anybody's guess.

                              Last month a I sent several sms's to my friends in Mysore and Bangalore. I was charged rs. 5 per sms. Somehow the number had got prefixed with 0044 (UK code) and they claim that it was a international sms. Now, being a so called mobile services company they do not seem to understand that you cannot send a international sms by prefixing 0044 to a local mobile number.

                              The list goes on.

                              I am just waiting for mobile number portability to be introduced. I am sure many many others are also waiting for this.

                              AirTel — Refund

                              They charged me excess and to continue my connection i have paid the excess amount. On sebquent enquiry i found that i ma entitle for refund of Rs.2800/-. It slmost 1 month , still i have not received any refud. they have not given me anything in writting. i have only payment proof. My complaint ref No.with customer car of Airtel is F[protected]. They told me that it will take another 2 months.

                              Pl help me to speed up the refund.

                              AirTel — Non refund of Deposit

                              I disconnected my mobile no. [protected] (Airtel) after paying all dues in June 2009. I am yet to receive the deposit of Rs. 300 even after close to 11 months. I have provided all documentation pertaining to my new address and even given my bank account number since they promised to credit my account. I have escalated to their call centre, personally went to their office and inspite of several commitments am yet to receive the refund.

                              AirTel — Refund not received from airtel

                              I had subscribed to airtel services for a period of 2 yrs in gurgoan from july 2008 to july 2010.
                              They asked me for a Deposit of Rs 2000/- to activate my ISD services.
                              They do not activate ISD services unless the deposit has been paid.
                              In August 2008, My ISD services were activated after a payment of Rs 2000 by me.
                              I used these services till july 2010, on discontinuing the number in july 2010, when i asked for a refund of my deposit, thier system, shows no such record, i visited them several times, gave them all possible data. But still they refuse to have received this payment and have not refunded it to me.

                              As a rule airtel never activates ISD services unless the deposit is made, yet they refuse to acknowledge that i made the deposit and pay it back to me.

                              I have never defaulted on my payment and paid a last settlement of Rs 800 when only Rs 500 was asked, to cover my unbilled amount. Yet i am not getting my money back.

                              Airtel — sudden termination of Postpaid connection

                              I was using the Delhi circle mobile no. [protected], which is a post-paid connection. Suddenly on 3rd of Sep, 2010, my connection was terminated. When inquired from Customer Care, i was told that it was done on the orders of NDNC (National Do-Not Call Council) since I was using this no. for sending promotional messages related to my business.

                              Now, following are my justifications against the action taken by you:

                              1. This no. is a 10 year old postpaid no., with no default ever made (either in bill payment or in misuse)
                              2. It is a Corporate connection in name of GUPTA BROTHERS where I am presently working.
                              3. If you could check your records, there has never been any promotional use of this no., neither for any calls nor for any SMSes.
                              4. The no. was suddenly terminated without any warning, that led to serious after-affects on my work / company’s business.
                              5. Repetitive complaints made to Customer care / 121 could not serve the purpose as they had no idea how to rectify this termination.
                              6. As per the formal process, my Corporate Manager had sent mail (3 days hence the termination) to airtel by his official ID, that exists no where in your records.

                              As a legal step, I am writing this as a last warning being issued to Airtel (15 days hence the termination), after which a LEGAL NOTICE shall be sent, against which my company is authorized to ask for a ‘compensation’ for the losses suffered in business, as well as DEFAMATION suit would be filed against Airtel.

                              I had requested for refund of my security deposit of Rs. 8500/- . I had on 5th
                              July 2010 received an sms from Airtel stating that my request for refund has
                              been resolved and that further I would be receiving a call from mobile number:

                              However i did not receive any call or cheque from airtel.
                              Upon calling up their customer service and sending them mails multiple times i was told that the check had been received at my residential address and if i have not received it I was required to submit a deminity Bond of Rs. 10/-, the same was submitted in August by me at their Connaught Place center and i have the receipt for the same. After this I have sent them multiple emails and called them up multiple times. However, till date, I have received no Proof of the mentioned cheque and it is now invalid as it is past 6 months of date of issuing of cheque nor have i received any worthy reply from airtel.

                              It may be noted that airtel has been sending my telephone bills to the same address for the past 10 years and they have been received every month. This indicates the callous attitude of airtel in troubling their old customers. The security deposit mentioned is also illegally being held for a number of their other customers as the security deposit is no longer required for consumers.
                              I therefore request Airtel to refund my and all the customers their security deposits and interest for the period since which they have illegally held onto the security deposits at the rate at which they charge late payments.

                              While getting the connection from AirteI paid Rs 500 as Security deposit on[protected].
                              My Deposit 500 towards my account was not credited yet in the mobile a/c. I am continously raising tickets from October 25, 2011. Ticket Nos. 40533712,40471837,40317056,40272957.

                              I have submitted the copies of the receipt(Dated:[protected], BillNo:39314) to Airtel Show room, Ascendas, Taramani, Chennai on[protected] as well. But still Airtel is not responding on this.

                              And I paid Security Deposit Rs 500 for my alternate Airtel no [protected] on[protected]. It dint get credited yet.
                              Even with the bills they are not taking the steps to credit the money into the airtel mobile a/c. If I would have lost teh bill, they would definitely say that I have not made anything as security deposit.

                              My Question to airtel is that why Hand written bills are being made ? It should be computerized.

                              Also I am getting messages from 121 stating that Thank you for contacting Airtel We ll resolve the issue in a week of time every week without making call to Airtel.
                              Guyzz Please do stay away always from Airtel. Poor company ever in India to loot and cheat the customer's money.!!!

                              disconnected yesterday and even today also ,when I checked up,it was not
                              working. And when I reminded that the matter is pending resolution before the
                              Nodal officer, then yesterday with great difficulty they started again. And
                              after sometime it again started giving problems , then I called again to lodge
                              the complaint, which though was lodged after great difficulty as Mr Rajesh gave
                              me a Ref no.6182994 at around 12 noon and said it will be rectified by evening.
                              HOWEVER, none turned up to rectify the same, so I checked up the same around
                              noon today
                              when it was got connected with great difficulty and finally it was attended by
                              one Mr.Nitish and
                              tone of the customer care chap, Mr.Nitish Sirwani (even full name he was not
                              prepared to
                              divulge) >When I told that the matter is pending consideration before THE NODAL
                              OFFICER, then his immediate reaction was that you ask the Nodal officer to
                              rectify your complaint himself by visiting your home . When I asked him to put
                              to his Floor Supervisor, he put me on some horrible music for more than half an
                              hour and finally after testing my patience for so long , he replied that he
                              cannot connect me to floor supervisor and banged the phone (this fact can be
                              checked from your phonetic records even )
                              It may be informed that Your Lower Officials, it seems have no respect
                              either for their CUSTOMERS or have a SCANT RESPECT FOR THEIR SENIOR OFFICERS,
                              AND THAT TOO FOR THE HIGHEST APPELLATE AUTHORITY
                              The Even say that we don't bother about customers and Mind it THEY ARE
                              MAKING A COMPLETE MOCKERY OF THE ENTIRE PROCESS TO HELP THEIR CUSTOMERS Ana are
                              making an ABSOLUTE MOCKERY OF THEIR OFFICERS.

And my phone is been regularly disconnected by saying that the Bill is pending to be paid and the same is restored after explaining them their fault of WRONG BILLING< Which is pending resolution before your goodself.



                              Now after Receipt of the aforesaid WRONG BILL, despite your said mail dt.07/11/2011, I am receving threatening calls daily (EVEN AFTER YOUR SO CALLED, MATTER BEEN RESOLVED ) to deposit the entire BILL (which again been raised of wrong Bill PLan ) within 24 HOURS< FAILING WHICH MY SERVICES SHALL BE DISCONNECTED, which they have also disconnectd even recently. Iasked them to SEND ME THE CORRECTED BILL ON MY OLD COMBO- PLAN of RS. 649.00 (Whch I had for about last 8 YEARS ) and also after GIVING DUE DEDUCTIONS/WAIVER of Ammounts for which my sevices were illegally Disconnected/Withheld by your concerned Departments.....But I was replied by the person concerned (Who did not disclose his Identity) And asked me to DEPOSIT the ENTIRE BILLED AMOUNT (Which is totally wrong) and REFUSED to lend to my request of sending the corrected Bill,with due adjustments and required WAIVER.                               AirTel — Airtel postpaid complaint

                              Hi,

                              Ref:[protected]. I switched to airtel from idea last year. Initially I was using 199 plan. Since I am an active user of 3G services I changed my bill plan on december 23, 2011 because my bills were over exceeding. I called customer care on 23rd december and asked the representative to change my bill plan. Representative assured me that my plan will be changed and same will be reflected in next billing cycle. This was never done. For past couple of days I am paying extra money for no fault of mine. Yesterday i called customer care again to change my bill plan.

                              My question is if the airtel didn't updated the plan as per my say then why I am I supposed to pay extra money. Please check the records from this number and you may get the information. And why I am supposed to call again and again to get my plan updated.

                              This is highly frsutrating and annoying as when a person is assured that the plan would be updated and he/she starts planning and making calls based on the same. And then at the end of the month you end up paying more.

                              Sorry to write this being the customer of Airtel for more than 10 Years( [protected]- HonnappaGowda)

                              This regarding to the Post paid connection number : [protected] ( Sahana VP). there is an excess amount paid in the month of April 2012 of the amount of Rs 1055/- through Internet banking for the mentioned connection.

                              We have requested for the refund in the month of May 2012 , but still we are paying all the as dues without defaulting,.but still as on date we have not received the amount even after calling to the customer care....but no use of that( Compliant numbers as follow 43607801 , [protected], 44142828 as provided by your Customer Care executives ).. Firstly they have sent the chq to the wrong address which is not a corresponding address (Billing address).. ...due to some of your employee negligence,we are suffering.

                                This is regarding Airtel DTV service, I have been facing problem since 5days as I am not getting any signal and not abale to watch T V also.I have several time called the customer care but they are not enough serious about the customer problems.Besides their field engineers are not available and not also answering the calls.
                                We are fadeup calling their customer care as well as field engineers.

                                I have Airtel digital TV connection. My ID no is [protected]. I paid Rs.1000/- through Canara Bank Debit Card on 09/05/2011. The amount is also credited to your account from Canara Bank, Kancheepuram Gandhi Road Branch .While filling my ID number I had wrongly typed it as [protected] instead of [protected]. Because of this error my telecast to my DTH is blocked for the last 3 days.                                   1 Month Bill Rs 9500/- AIRTEL IS REAL CHEATING COMPANY- Pls stop using AIRTEL Mobile services

                                  Despite the rap by Supreme Court to various Telecom companies on VAS(Value added services) related complaints. My Case clearly show cases that how Telecom companies, specially Airtel is indulging in Client Harassment.

                                  I had written to them by amended mail and response also attached herewith by them which does not answer any specific query raised by me. and grossly rejects my complaint.

                                  Summary Of Complaint : One month Bill raised for Rs 9500/- for only 3.2 GB Data used on phone. Where as i have clearly opted for 1 GB pack with Cap of Rs 1000 pm
                                  I tried subscribing for Additional data plans by various channels but failed.

                                  Sequence oF Events:
                                  25th June - I activated 1 GB Plan on my Number [protected]

                                  6th July to 7th July - I requested for Smart Byte using MMI code *121*5# and
                                  other instructed codes And i was communicated by MMI display that Smart
                                  byte request has been recieved successfully.

                                  7th July Onwards - I also requested to add from " Airtel App " on my mobile to
                                  start Smartbyte fpr Rs 175 for 500 mb 4 times also for 300 MB for Rs 80
                                  multiple times. I got a msg saying that services shall be activated within 4
                                  hours
                                  Important Point : I also tried adding 1 GB from my Airtel App but instead of adding 1 GB it changed my
                                  plan to 500mb + 500 mb (3G + 2G Speeds). The app clearly showed that it is a 3G Plan.
                                  It changed my bill plan to uncapped category, which lead to escalation of my bill to 9500 rs.

                                  10 th July onwards at 0039 hours I again tried to add smartbytes by SMS to 121
                                  but it failed multiple times. I again tried thru " Mobile APP" and it showed that services shall be
                                  activated in 4 hours.

                                  I tried adding smart bytes by all possible means multiple times but i never
                                  knew what request were successful and what not as even the '3G BAL' SMS was
                                  never showing correct information. I tried thru all the following means

                                  MMI Code
                                  SMS of SMART to 121 followed by 1 & 1
                                  Airtel APP on my phone
                                  Calling Call centre at 121 - I was told manual request for the same is not accepted

                                  Even 3G USE SMS does not show balance data or the current limit applicable to me
                                  The Unbilled amount does not give you a clue whether the Amount shall be discounted under plan or not as all plans are adjustable at the time of billing only.


                                  +Thus in short I used Appx 3.2 GB Data and I was billed 9000 Rs for the same
                                  (Against Rs 250+175+175+80= 680). And now I have to write mails and call you to
                                  get the same reversed. This is a pure mental torture for me and i am really
                                  contemplating writing to TRAI for this harrasment.

                                  I visited Airtel Gallery on 13th July and 7th Aug in Andheri East & also West, where they were convinced by my complaint but no resolution done till date

                                      I have tried to resolve the issue with Airtel first. But after 7 times talking to customer care executives, 5 interactions on Twitter, 4 interaction on Facebook, 3 online complaints on their site and 7 emails I have not received any concrete solution. So I have decided to report the error (or should I say fraud by Airtel?) Here. I had to spent lots of time and energy behind it for last 8 days.



                                      Problem 1: Wrong data usage shown from 403airtelgprs.com:



                                      I am an occasional data user and use it to check mail couple of times in a day while at office and occasionally check Facebook. At home I have wifi. Data usage for this should be less than couple of hundreds MB, well below the limit my bill plan has. However, to my surprise, I got a bill of Rs 4723 (Rs 7447 before various discounts, primary due to data usage which is ~Rs 6738 including tax ). Which is utterly false as data usage to access some mails and Facebook should be anything between 100 MB to 200 MB. I got a bill of Rs 340 for the similar usage during the previous month. Last month I was entirely on 2G but this month I switched to a 3G plan for couple of weeks and then returned to 2G plan as 3G did not work out. I keep on getting junk pop-ups from Airtel and looks like they are running some spam process in background. I found that the data was consumed mainly by 403airtelgprs.com even when the cell was in sleep mode. It shows heavy data consumption even I am at home and connected to wifi or I am sleeping (see the attached image). Bascially it shows heavy data consuptions for 24*7. In reality I use airtel data service for a few minutes in a day. 403airtelgprs seems to be a spam process triggered by airtel which show consumption of data even though the user is not using it (It shows heavy data consumption 24 hours in a day). It looks like many other users are also facing the same issue as seen on this forum.



                                      Problem 2. Bill is more than the credit limit:

                                      My credit limit is Rs 1300. So they should have stopped once the bill reached the amount (even after they wrongly attributed the bill). However they did not. They even ignored the TRAI guideline of informing users once the bill amount reached 80% of the credit limit. It is ironic that they have set a credit limit, wrongly billed way more than that amount and now asking that money even if the bill should be below Rs. 704.
