Airtel — Asked to pay bill for a number that doesn't exist | |||
Hi, I had made a payment of Rs: 2792.42 against my airtel mobile number [protected] in the month of November 2011 which was not in use for 3-4 months as I have moved out of Bangalore and when called on the number, the message heard was that the number does not exist but I did make the payment and asked to close the number by calling the customer care. Now I am being asked to pay an amount of Rs. 1948.53 and being threatened of legal action if I do not make the payment by September 20th 2012. The number I am being sent the bill for does not exist. I do not understand why am I liable to pay the bill for a number which does is not used by me and infact a number which does not exist. Please reply. Was this information helpful? | |||

Thank you. I would request you to look into the issue urgently as I am being harassed by airtel by being threatened of legal action which is highly inappropriate. I do not owe any money to airtel for the number mentioned as I have paid the full amount and got the number closed. If the necessary actions were not taken by airtel, that is not my problem as I do not understand and I will not pay for a number that is not in use and that does not exist.

I again received an email from corporate collections KK for paying the bill and threatening me of legal action. I do not see any action being taken so far. Kindly reply.
