how do i stop airtel service messages?

Airtel — third class service/bogus

I just think that airtel is 1 of the best cellular company of the world, but i was wrong.
main 2 din se GPRS deactivate karne k liye message kar raha hoon.Par wo deactivate ho hi nahi raha.Call karne par bhi kai satisfi ho aisa answer nahi deta.Bahot BAKWAAS SERVICE "AIRTEL"de raha hai.customer care bhi kahate hai AAP K GPRS SERVICE BAND HAI. AAP 24 GHANTE AAD PHONE KARO.


AirTel — Stopping of Service

I have requested Airtel formally that I have lost my SIM and want to stop the service for the last 6 months on 3 occasions and they are still billing me for the number. I just dont know what to do with this pathetic organisation
Yes what Anitha saying is correct, for me also i am receving service message containing some abuse words like "nude", "sexy girls" etc., . If any school going or college going boys/girls receive message like this we cannot say anything, because with out subsribing these types of messages are coming. The wonderfull invention is being misused. Now i don't know how to stop this nusence.

AirTel — receiving messages

I have not subscribed for any text based services for which I am charged Rs. 20 every now and then.
The messages which I recieve reads:

Thanks for using(Subscriptions, Text based Services) subscription service on Airtel WAp. You have been charged Rs. 20. Enjoy

Please help me in unsubscribing and not being charged for the same.

air tel is sending more service message, unwanted messages, and they taking from the mobile and saying you are activated this service on this day like that. Totally Airtel is cheating the customers

i m completely disagree with this airtel service.plz dont send this kind of "FALTU LINKS" to my no.
if posible plz ask atleast one time befor deducting the balance.

this service is totally useless. if we want this kind of links thn we find that? why airtel will take interferier. if airtel faced loss thn this kind of mony making 'third class' strategise are useful.

i m disagree with this bqz i m facing the same condition. and if pos plz add my deducted balace. as soon as posibel.
if pos i interested to talk with the higher authority person otherwise send the mail id. or contact no. will take the right action.

Airtel is misusing the telecom facilities and sending unwanted service messages without registering for it. I am receiving messages from 54321 daily esp. love messages without ever subscribing to it and on top of that Rupee 1 is being deducted from my account without my knowledge. I called their automated service number and Rs 10 got deducted from my account for 2 minutes o[censored]seless menu facility I received from thier automated message. Today I have subscribed to DND. Need to wait and watch whether that will work. Its high time that service provides esp. Airtel are taken to court and their illegal and irresponsible services are brought out open in public. Everyone I have heard from says that Airtel does bogus charging on customers for their services.
Same problem here. These messages sometimes come when I'm expecting an important message. Upon opening them, I'm urged to download pictures of nude girls, etc. etc. I've already registered myself on the DND list but this apparently does not stop these vulgar ads. Thank God I'm not a susceptible kid! Need help on stopping these unsolicited ads.
Airtel requires some sort of legal action like PIL.Without subscribing they deduct money and send messages which results dispute between husband and wife. It is an open secret that Airtel makes alot of bogus charges to customers without their knowledge.
I did try to stop this service by sending sms on *121# and pressing 5. It did give message "done". I was relieved that I got rid of this nuisance. But lo ! it starts again.
10 messages/day and 2 calls/day.
What shall I do ?

What the hell Airtel is doing there... I don't know why Such a biggest network provider is sending such a stupid messages and stealing money from the subscribers...

Just now I have received a stupid message and Rs. 99/ was deducted from my balance...

If the same continues, Nobody will opt for this Network...
im getting some kind of stupid messages and charging for that, why should i pay and get stupid messages, no response from customer service. i dont know why such a big network wants to earn like this by stealing our money, i dont know what the hell things doing in customer service not working for customers, need a immediate revert,
Even I am facing same issue. I found this from Yahoo answer. Worth try.
"simple, go to message settings in your mobile and select service messages and stop"
Even i'm getting same kind of messages, i have registered several complaints to their customer care department and also raised the issue with nodal officer and appellate officer of Airtel but the issue is pending since 9th Sept 2010. Every forth or fifth day a person will call from appellate and will become the victim of my shoutings :). I have totally lost hope on Airtel to resolve my issue.

I have all the complaint numbers, reference ids, nodal office complaint number and appellate complaint number, please provide me telecom ombudsman telephone number, email id and address for bringing the same to their knowledge.
Please stop the service messages!!!

Even I changed the message settings to stop service messages but it was of no use!!!
