Hi

I have applied for the postpaid connection of Airtel and paid the refundable deposit money of Rs 599/- (refundable security deposit of 500 and 99 towards Sim charges) via cheque in favour 0f N.S. SYSTEM DEVICE (AIRTEL) and was informed that the service will get activated within a week.

But till today, its almost a 2 months, I have not got the connection for the same and not even had communication from Airtel. I feel that i have got cheated in the name of the said scheme.

I have also addresed my greivance to the " AIRTEL" lower parel office on 25th June, 2008 and its almost a month passed for the same without any response from Airtel. Please find depicted the below communication with airtel for the said scheme.

Dear Sir

I have applied for your new postpaid scheme for monthly rental of 199 and paid the
cheque no. 694622 dated 26/05/08 in favour of N.S. SYSTEM DEVICE (AIRTEL) amounting Rs. 599/- (refundable security deposit of 500 and 99 towards Sim charges).for the said scheme. I have been provided with the customer copy of Subscriber Enrolment Form, serial no. B340362

The cheque got cleared from my ICICI bank a/c. on 30/05/08 but still, I am not in receipt of new sim & mobile no.

I would urge you to please look into the matter on the priority basis as its almost a month passed away from the day of application. I have a full trust on the service of “AIRTEL” being a customer for 2 long years.

Dear Sir,

I was told by Airtel over phone to understand that that I can change my existing post-paid plan to rental-free plan on payment of Rs.599/- of which Rs.500/- is refundable after 3 weeks. Accordingly I made a payment of Rs.599/- by cheque to representative of Airtel N S Systems, a dealer of Airtel. My account was debited on 22/1/2009. But neither my plan was changed nor the refund of Rs.500/- made. I decided not to pay the existing bill unless the amount of Rs.599/- is adjusted. Now Airtel has disabled outgoing calls and has started charging penalty on the outstanding amount. Please help me sort out the issue.

    Everyday from my balance one rupee gets deducted.I have been facing this problem for the last few months.Then i contacted customer care and i was informed that mine connection comes under airtel daily rental plan something, so i need to do a validity recharge of 800(1 year validity).Then I did my recharge.Now also daily 1 rupee is getting deducted from my balance, and when i contacted the customer care I am again asked to do another validity recharge for 1 year.When i asked the guy why this problem is occuring he just disconnected the call.Can you help me regarding this???

      My Customer ID is [protected]. My connection is not working from last 12 days. We have registered our 1st complaint on June 10, 2010, they have told our representative will come within 24 Hours and he’ll solve the problem but till June 19, 2010 nobody was came. After that we call them again then they have told us that your complaint is closed now kindly register a new complaint, We have register a new complaint on June 19, 2010 after that till today June 22, 2010 nobody has came. Today we have called again for reminder then they told us kindly hold for a second and that second becomes almost 20 minutes, it is really shame full. If some body realise after reading this message, if after sale service is that much poor then one day you have to close this service. If Nobody will come to our place by tomorrow June 23, 2010 we will through this dish out of our place.

        respected sir above subject for lots of complain i was given to airtel care but problem as it is so do needful my cell nub is [protected] i m from gujarat i purchase this sim from last 4 year but service is very bad i feel and my lots of complaint close without asking me which was open in my account already so now plz do needful
        bad coverage for i active service +91568 RMCA service but airtel told me that i can get misscall alert within 6 hrs but i could not got it within 6 hrs so this is bad experiance for me

          Respected Sir,
          I am an airtel user, My cell no.is [protected], for more than four years, but of late since March i am having a problem regarding GPRS service. I have complained to customer care service many times and these are some of my complaint numbers.
          [protected] - [protected] - [protected] - [protected] - [protected] - [protected] - [protected][protected] [protected].
          On part of the customer care service, they have done what they could do to rectify this problem, but the GPRS problem still persists.The problem is, prior to march, i was getting GPRS service without any problem and the network that i was getting on my cell info was GANGIMATTA and the network was a little weak but still i was able to browse the internet services like Airtel Live, Airtel Online, Mobile office, without any problems and i was a regular user of it but after that a new tower was erected in the vicinity of my residence and the cell info display showed BANTVAL-LORETTY.and i was getting full network signal, since then i am having a problem getting GPRS service the message i get is : (Packet Data not availabe, Check Network Service).But the real problem is that when i move away from my residence say about TWO kilometres in any direction the Packet Data is available and GPRS is active and when i come again towards my house it is automatically deactivated, i am using a N95 8GB cell and it requires GPRS service for many applications as i don't want to change to any other service provider as Airtel seems to be one of the best GPRS service provider in my opinion.
          So i kindly request you to take some urgent appropiate action to solve this very PECULIAR problem as soon as possible.

            NON ADJUSTMENT OF MY MOB BILL FOR THE LAST THREE MONTHS ACCT NO :[protected] MOB NO [protected]


            Respected Sir,

            1. With due respect and humble submission I request to state the following few lines for your kind consideration and favourable action please.

            2. I was using Airtel postpaid connection No [protected] since Mar 2007 til Apr 2008 and the services provided by your company was incredible and upto the expectation. As you are well aware that I was a high value customer for your company. During Feb 2008, I wanted to change my plan from 249 to One India Roam Plan being so economical. On 05 Feb 2008 the concerned franchise (i.e. Sagar Enterprises, Sadar Bazar Meerut (UP[protected] was enquired by me to get my plan changed from 249 to One India Roam Plan, accordingly they requested for a written application for change of Plan.

            3. On 08 Feb 2008 I submitted an application stating that my plan be changed from 249 to One India Roam Plan with effect from 10 Feb 2008; despite my repeated requests, they failed to do so till 23 Apr 2008. On 24 Apr 2008 again quoting my previous application reference I requested for my change of plan and the plan got changed on that day itself, subsequently my bill was generated according to 249 Plan showing an outstanding amount of Rs 8737/- and immediately they disconnected my connection due to payment outstanding to the company.

            4. However, I enquired with the concerned franchise to adjust my bill as per New One India Roam Plan with effect from 10 Feb 2008 to 23 Apr 2008 as their reply was that they were not in receipt of my application dated 08 Feb 2008. The receipted copy of mine was produced to them for their ready reference, after a long conversation between me and the Manager of concerned franchise they decided to resolve the case by paying Rs 6500/- alongwith NOC as they said the bill will be produced to me after the final payment. Legal Notice from Advocate has been recd for the same without any fault from my side.

            5. Finally I requested for my final bill but they requested first for clearance of outstanding amount of Rs 6500. Keeping in view of the above fact you are requested to look into matter and grant me the genuine waiver and fwd me the full itemized bill for my rectification and final payment to your company. If you could resolve the case within a stipulated time frame it would be more feasible for me as the concerned franchise is unable to resolve the case so I decided to put an request complaining the fact as the issue got delayed by many days.

            6. I shall be very much grateful for this act of kindness and an early action to this effect will be highly appreciated and solicited at your end please.

            I am compelled to write to you about your lousy i should say services .As a company you have done little in impriving your services

            I have two post paid connections

            1.To begin with your bills hardly or never reach in time .

            As a result late fees are charged to the existing bills.

            2. I received the bill fopr [protected] a few days ago by mail and the due date was 21.01 .09

            I get a call from your so Called several of them collection centres one Mr Anand by telephone no 40385500 promising waiver of late fees of first conection provided i give the cheque to them .Thisis on last Friday the 9th
            No one turns up for the cheque and Mr Anand does not respond

            I drop the cheque at Chakala office today .

            2.I get a call on my landline disonnecting the outgoing of the first number and threatening disconnecting the second one .

            3.My questions are

            How can you disconnect when the due date of the bill is 21st Jan 09

            Why are yr officers including you the Nodal officer not available

            Your Delhi office is inaccesible and 121 cannot be dialled ifyou disconnect my mobile .

            I am reporting this matter to the Consumer Forum as a gross negligence on your part to service the customer and using strong arm tactics by your collecting agent

            I am also compelled to take it further as to why your system cannot redress the issues of the customer and give numbers on the n et which are useless including your number

            Acopy ofthis mail is being marked to your Chairman exposing your lethargic and indifferent attitude

            Please stop this practice and activate my outgoing on my first number .Unless you set your shop in order dont take such drastic steps

            My internet connection[protected] was dead with complain no. 46254828 dated 11 May 2011 for a period from 11 May 2011 to 21 May 2011. I want to get my bill reduced for the said period but I am not being connected to concerned person by the call center of bhopal.
            They are giving all unsatisfying answers. Please get my bill adjusted for the said period.

              Please note that Rs.30/- Top Up Voucher Sl.No.[protected] has not yet been recharged since last three days. Message shows "THIS VOUCHER IN IS PENDING STATE"Customer care (121 toll free) could not give any positive reply till date. They are only advising me to return the top up to the shop from where it has been purchased. Is it possible to recharge the amount ?

                SIr,

                I have several times sent a message to 121 to cancel my GPRS service, but withought any response from. For some reason I am not able to get connected to the internet and I want to cancel the service. To my surpirse I find that my bill was formed both for the calls as well as internet.

                I would like to bring this to your notice and seek action.
                After having sent the message from myside, I would refuse to pay the bill for my GPRS, henceforth.

We were informed that earlier three post-paid mobile connections viz. [protected]; [protected]; and [protected] will also be covered under the Corporate CUG Group. We have submitted all relevant documents vide letter dt. 19.05.08 to M/s. Bharti Airtel, Okhla Industrial Estate, New Delhi for confirmation that all these Five nos. Mobile connections are in one Corporate CUG Group.

                  It is regrettable that no intimation/confirmation has been sent to us till now whether these five mobile nos. are part of Corporate CUG Group in the name of our Company, viz. KSK DIBBIN HYDRO POWER PVT. LTD., C-1/7, Sector-31, NOIDA, U.P.

                    I have been having a dispute with Bharti Airtel Cellular Services for my mobile number [protected] since June 2007. This is for the network in my area of residence. I have made several complaints to Airtel in the last 12 months but they have not bothered to do anything about it. The network is really weak and a lot of residents are facing major trouble. I also managed to get the details of the nearest network tower in the area, which according to them, is placed on a residential building near my area of residence. The fact is that the info is wrong, as the building has been demolished 6 months back for re-development. The company has not sent a single technician to my house to check the frequency, which a telecom company should be doing as their first investigation procedure. I've always got contradictory info from all the people that i have spoken to in the Customer Care centre. The higher authorities are not helpful at all bcos they refuse to be available for any discussions. I have sent several emails to the higher authorities for this matter but they have not replied for even once. I cannot change my mobile number since am a businessman. I work as a consultant and cannot change my number as a lot of clients have got my number. I ahev already suffered financial loss in business as my clients are unable to reach me bcos of the poor network. I have a general agreement wid Airtel that i shall pay the bills as long as i get uninterrupted services. There is a major discrepancy in the services and they have not delivered what they promised. They have also been distributing my number to external agencies and i've been going through mental harassment. This is going nowhere as the call centre system is very protected and i dont understand what further action should be taken. Please help.

                          Subject: Deduction of credit without request

                          Dear Sir/Madam,

                          My cell number id [protected]. I neither subscribed any service nor made any call from my cell. But the amount has been deduced from my mobile balance since june 4th without my knowledge and any information. i had recharged my mobile on june 3rd for Rs.50 and on the next day i noticed that Rs. 33 was deduced.When I contacted with Airtel Customer service for knowing the reason of Deduction of credit, the customer support told me that you had used our airtel live services for browsing and downloading purposes, but i didn't .
                          Two days later (june 5)I recharged for Rs.50 and on the next day, i noticed that Rs. 30 was deduced. I had contacted the customer support, they told me the same reason what i had before.
                          So i decided to unsubscribe the facility of AIRTEL LIVE.. Even though AIRTEL LIVE was deactivated, my amount was deduced . My balance was deduced whenever i recharged my mobile... I have contacted often for this, but they told the same without any useful response (They replied me that you have downloaded the pictures, games & You have made the STD call..but i didn't). If so i downloaded uncertainly, i have to get any messages from airtel but i didn't get any message from airtel...Since now, I have lost the amount around RS.250(two hundred and fifty).
                          I contacted the customer support often, they gave me the same reply of "Hereafter u won't get any fault"...
                          Today also i recharged for RS 50 in the morning, but my balance has deduced RS.37...
                          For the past two months, i have this problem...
                          Give me some solution for this matter, this would create the negative impression to your network among my surroundings...

                              i priyanka sehdev, am holder of an airtel landline connection in new delhi.my no. is [protected].i ve never asked for a caller tune on my landline phone but it has been twice that i come to know from others that there is a song on the caller tunes and hence some charges are added on my next bill. so please stop duping your customer of forced charges and stop putting caller tunes .

                              I completely agree. Same thing happened with me and after 5-6 complaints they have not reversed the charges. This is purposely fleecing customers. Solution: Don't pay the tune charges - keep note of complaint number. If you have time, file a complaint with TRAI.

                              Airtel — excess charges on hello tune

                              yesterday i had sent an sms to airel for hello tuen. They have immediately deducted Rs.30/- for one month this is correct charges. However, just within seconds they have again deducted Rs.15/- stating charges deducted for change in hello tune which is not correct. There is no question of change since first time helo tune has been initiated.

                              My excess charges must be refunded immediately.

                                Someone has placed an ad as "call girl service" & "escort service in hyderabad" and has given MY post paid cell phone number. My number has also been registered in this website by that same person. I don't know who did this. But whoever that is is a notorious criminal.

                                Please treat this as important & urgent and kindly take action on it. I am receiving several calls since yesterday and I am gonna cancel that number with immediate effect.

                                  I guess they might activated Airtel Messenger kind of service on your account. Check your bill properly airtle might also be charging Rs 50 per month as special message.

                                    Its so bugging. Corporate connections have also gone for a toss. Noone has any clue what is wrong and how long would it take to restore connectivity. Airtel is SLEEPING.
                                    Even my phone is down since morning.
                                    Confirmed with a few friends in office using airtel, same problem.
                                    And the customer service is simply cutting the call.
                                    The so called 'customer care' of Airtel has disconnected the service lines now.cant reach them thru landline. I can still receive calls but no outgoing.Dunno wats happening...
                                    ITS REALLY SO FRUSTATING.AND NO ONE KNOWS WHEN THIS PROBLEM WILL BE SOLVED.AT LEAST WE SHOULD KNOW THE TIME DURATION.
                                    ITS REALLY SO FRUSTATING.AND NO ONE KNOWS WHEN THIS PROBLEM WILL BE SOLVED.AT LEAST WE SHOULD KNOW THE TIME DURATION.
                                    This is really frustrating, the number of phone calls missed by each one o[censored]s accounts to a huge loss.. damn I hate Airtel now!
                                    Any idea guys, when will this problem get resolved.
                                    Be it a Multi Billion dollars deals or IPhone Launch their website is well updated. They don’t give a damn thought to share the reason of this network failure on their website.

                                    MUMBAI, July 18 (Reuters) - A fire broke out in the basement of a building in central Mumbai on Friday due to a suspected electrical short circuit, fire service officials said.

                                    Smoke billowed from the basement of Peninsula Chambers, in Peninsula Corporate Park in Lower Parel.

                                    Three firemen said there were no injuries as nobody was present in the basement when the fire broke out in the early hours, before office workers began arriving.

                                    "The fire is under control, " said a fireman, who declined to give his name as he was not authorised to talk to the media.

                                    Police smashed glass windows and pumped in water to douse the fire while onlookers gathered on the sidewalks.

                                    I just had a talk with customer service. They intimate 3-4 hours more for the work to finish. According to the call center reps, its a hardware failure at the cellsite (tower) for north mumbai.. Will let you know more as soon as I know :)
                                    I am very disappointed for this inconvenient but at lest we should know the reason for this.

                                    The service is so pathetic and they should atleast have some backup plans. How can they just not do anything about it?
                                    Damn wat the hell AIRTEL NETWORK down from the morning how da heck this suky company dont even have DRS for such a important mumbai network.
                                    I know atleast a dozen people in Mumbai who are facing the same probelm today. It seems that the fire has caused the breakdown. Even otherwise, Airtel service is terrible. My only concern is what are the alternatives - Vodafone? I had a horrid 20 days with a new Vodafone connection a few months ago - finally had to just give it up. And all have heard the horror stories of reliance, idea, dolphin, etc. I realized the Indian mobile consumer has been left to choose from a set of pathetic, poor-service companies. Hope this improves quickly
                                    They just don't care about customers. Any responsible company would put some info on their website. They are completely irresponsible. The network sucks as it is. A 5 minute call can see as many as 3 call drops. Ridiculous.

                                    There has been a major fire at Peninsula park in Lower parel where the airtel tower has been situated...Cause of which the system has crashed ...I jsut checked with the Airtels customer care ppl and they are hopeful of getting the service in place soon ...guys lets try and bear with them !!!

                                    since last 5 yrs i am using airtel and i am facing this problem for the first time.

                                    I think there should be some genuine reason. remeber it was only airtel that worked on 27 July and 11th July blasts
                                    Yes i also do believe that hardly Airtel Network is down. As i am also using Airtel from last 4 years and have never faced such problems.

                                    And we all Airtel Network user should really have little patience and wait for the Network to come up. Because of some genuine reason it is down and nobody is enjoying fun out of it.
                                    I checked on google in some news the Airtel PRO says that the services will be enabled in next 45 mins but still those 45 mins are not over it seems. Dont know how such a big network provider works without any backup.
                                    I too have been an airtel customer for the past 7-8 months. I have never faced any network problem earlier. it must be due to some major failure at their end and should be a lesson for the Airtel guys as such a big operator should definetly have a back up in place...Mr. sunil Mittal...aare you listening ??????
                                    Its really horrible when a well-known company does not have their backup plan, its almost 7hr+ they are not able to restores the system. Airtell should take this responsibility .
                                    Well, the only way the service providers will ever learn their lesson if there is number portability within India. That would serve the woes of millions and when anyone is dissatisfied, they could change their service provider.

                                    It's frustrating - especially when you cannot receive any business calls the whole day.

                                    DoT should do something to fastrack the number portability and make the consumers happy.
                                    Airtel services have been affected due to fire in Peninsula Business Park, Parel. Although the fire was in basement and first floor, all equipments of Airtel at level 2 were forced switched off and now have been damaged by water jets.

                                    There is no access to the premise and power there, which is a major establishment for Airtel. Wonder what kind of fire detection facilities have been installed at such upmarket commercial establishments ! Deputy Chief Fire Officer said that the basement's fire sprinkler system did not spring into action as the alternate electrical supply or the diesel generator in the systems was in manual mode.

                                    It is like Gujjars blocking railway line and we criticizing Rajdhani train services !

                                    AIRTEL has done it again...RITE NOW THE NETWORK IN PUNE IS DOWN...you can get connected to anybody using airtel services...Well done airtel, and again we are sure there will be no cortesy call or sorry message from Airtel...way to go...

                                      I suffered with rude Airtel customer service in chennai. I was an airtel customer in chennai under corporate CUG for almost 5 years ([protected]). In 2007, i moved to hyderabad. So i sent a mail to airtel, asking them to disconnect the service and send the outstanding amount to my email alias. They disconnected the service and sent me an acknowledgement for the same. Later, instead of sending the bill to my alias as mentioned in the disconnection mail, they started calling my friends, using the frequently called numbers in my bill. This is against customer privacy policy and they are not supposed to call anyone, using my list asking for me. For their negligence, other folks had to suffer their torture at odd timings. For one of my previous collegue, a lady from airtel customer care, called and spoke in foul language and irritating them as if she had relationship with me. This, she (airtel customer care from the following numbers - [protected], [protected]) has utilized as a way to reach me. All the days, when my friends were undergoing this trauma in chennai, i kept on mailing airtel mail ids (aes.[protected]@airtel.in, V.[protected]@airtel.in) informing them to send the outstanding amount to my mail id and not to irritate any of the folks on my bill, as i relocated to Hyderabad with no more contacts in chennai. There was no one to respond to my mails and the issues of getting foul language, bad words, vulgar words over phones to my friends (they have even called my friends holding hutch numbers also) regarding this bill payment. They didnot listen, even when my friends had told that i am in hyderabad. This gave a bad taste to me about airtel, boasting about so called customer care service. They are no better than rogues on the street. I am planning to file a case in consumer court with all the proofs of mails and transactions, along with recorded phone calls with the lady speaking foul language from their customer care. Please take necessary action against the concerned folks and against airtel for breaching the customer's privacy policies.
