I have purchased Airtel Digital TV on 28th of August 2011 and my customer id is [protected] .
But i realized the big mistake i made by choosing such a irresponsible company as DTH service provider.
I have following concerns:
1. Some time some channels shows the Connection lost screen (Error Code B0001).
2. In rain as well in drizzling it does not respond and hangs.
3. Whenever I called customer care they give me same stupid solutions :

* Restart your set top box.
* Unplug your cable and reconnect.
* Remove any obstacle in front of Dish.


Really a very bad DTH service provider.I suggest never buy Airtel Digital TV.

Airtel Digital TV — NON ACTIVATION OF HD STB

I give below the complaint message which I had sent to Airtel Digital TV customer care and their customer redressal center.

Sir / Madam,

I want to place on record my compalaint through this mail to you and all appropriate authorities and NGOs interested in cosumers affairs and rights protection as follows:

I bought a Samsung LCD, whreby I was provided with complimentary coupen for Airtel Digital TV connection at cost of Rs.500/-

I paid Rs.500/- and requested the customer care to provide HD STB me by paying the difference of amount. First I was informed to pay Rs.250/- which I paid and requested for HD STB installation. Then your customer service informed me to pay Rs.1500/- over phone and through email, which also I paid and requested for HD STB.

I received an SMS on 5-1-2011 informing that the installation is scheduled for 6-1-2011. Somebody came on 6-1-2011 fixed the dish and placed a normal STB. But since I refused to accept normal STB and asked him to take back the normal STB and to bring HD STB.

Next day, on 7-1-2011, someother person came with HD STB (STB ID-[protected] and View Card No.[protected]), installed and informed that the activation will be effected shortly.

Thereafter I have been talking to your customer service ([protected])and the people (Mr.Saravanan -[protected], Mr.Vadivel-[protected]) who installed the HD STB several times, which you may run your recorded messages and understand. Everybody is keep on telling that the activation is under process or within 24 hours it will be done or there is confusion whether normal or HD activation. There are lot of communication gap between your customer care service and engineers.

Please advise whether you can give HD activation immediately or not.

If the same is not possible, you may refund the entire amount which I paid and take back the dish and STB after submitting a letter stating your inability to provide the required service for whatever the reasons known to you.

Please note that I will certainely take up this matter legally with all concerned which will have impact on your further sales definitely.

Please treat this matter seriously and resolve the issue urgently to avoid further complications and legal proceedings.

Airtel DTH — False promises and Supervisors telling lies

My A/C No [protected]. I bought this connection on 16th Oct and am facing tremendous problems.

1. I was sold this connection with false promises and was promised a pack in 275/pm with the channels I wanted.
2. The pack came with rs 250 cash back which was not provided.
3. Wrong pack was activated on 31st Oct.
4. When I contacted customer service station at 44448080, again all the persons I spoke to told me lies. And ultimately made a plan which would cost me 75 rs more than what was promised.
5. Air tell is a company you cannot trust.

Resolution: I want a senior person to call me and I want Airtel to reimburse the amount that I paid and take back the gadgets.

I am not satisfied with your present service…… pls check my account detail and short out this problem pls give me surety for that it will be not happened again.

I want to clarification about amount of My account.
From 6th Jan to 11th Jan, no one channel is telecasted, due to technical problem from your side problem.

So I want to rebate my amount charge of 6 days in next Days, Means the last date of telecasting is 26th Jan 2011 but after this problem, it will be extended up to 1st Feb 2011.

Airtel DTH — Customer Care People Not Responding

Nearly Twenty days Onwards We are facing Problem in Airtel DTH Setup box. Daily Two to three Times i am calling to your Customer Care People Every Day Rising Compliant. Reference Number is 5129204 on[protected]. But Still now it is not Solved. Kindly Give proper Response.

Airtel Digital TV — Airtel HD Upgradation Issue Not Resolved

Hi,

I upgraded from a Airtel Digitaltv normal connection to a Digitaltv HD connection last week. The sales person had told me that if I upgrade to the HD connection then I will be getting the National Geographic Channel in High Definition free for 2 months. He also told me that I will be able to watch all World Cup matches in High Definition.

The HD connection was installed on Feb 10, 2011. But the National Geographic Channel in High Definition was not activated. On Feb 11, 2011 I called Airtel Digitaltv customer care regarding this issue. The customer care executive told me to wait confirmed to me that the offer is applicable for my package and told me to wait for one more day before registering a complaint. On Feb 12, 2011 since the package was still not activated, I again called customer care to register a complaint. When I explained my problem to the executive, he was not ready to register the complaint and told me that the offer is not applicable for my package. I told him that the offer information was given to me by the Airtel sales executive, he still did not listen to me. Then I asked him to connect my call to a higher level executive so that I could escalate this issue. He was not even ready to do that. After insisting continuously, he placed me on hold for some time and then told me that the offer is valid and he raised a request to resolve it. He gave me the request number and told me that the resolution date as Feb 14, 2011 by 4:30pm

On Feb 13, 2011 I got a message on my mobile saying that the request has been resolved. But the issue is still not resolved as the channel is not yet activated.

I would like to know how the request was closed without resolution. I would also like to know why this channel has not been activated in my account.

Also, I am very unhappy with the quality of service and response that has been provided to me by Airtel in the last few days. I have noticed that many times when I call Customer Care, the executive picks the call, I explain my problem to him, he tells me that he is checking my account and places me on hold, and then the call gets disconnected. I do not know whether this is being done intentionally or there is a problem at your end. I'm sure that it is not a problem with my mobile as this is not happening to me with any other call.

I hope my queries are heard and the issue is resolved.

there is a problem with stb customer care of airtel digital tv is not responding properly. they have taken the stb and nt return it from past 1 week.they will cut the call if we call to customer care.

Airtel — Problem with the new connection: Worst ever response responses from Airtel D2H customer executives

Problem with the new connection:
I have taken two new connections of Airtel D2H on 18 Feb., 2011 in front of ICC Cricket World Cup, they charged money in advance and putted anteena only and not activated D2H services till today. Service men assured us to activate the network within 1 hour. We made so many calls to the Airtel D2H customer executives but no healthy response came rather they gave me few more numbers to contact ([protected]; [protected]; [protected] etc). I got very bad response from the Airtel D2H customer executives as well as from the installation personels.
Its really a bad bad experience to have a Airtel D2H connection.
I had Worst ever response responses from Airtel D2H customer executives only.

Airtel Digital TV — Recharged but not activated before last two days

I have recharged before two days (Dt. 19/2/11), but not activated, till this time (Dt. 21/1/11). Though, repeated complaints are made to local customer care center, but invain. So, do the needful as earliest as possible.

AIRTEL DIGITAL TV — unable to reach customer care

I bought AIRTEL DIGITAL TV on OCT 2010, thye installed and last 4 months no issue, but yesterday (feb 21-2011), i got error like no signal. i checked cable line, it's fine. but unable to resove issue. i tried to reach customer care ([protected]),but it disconnected. very bad service.

Airtel Digital TV — Absurd charges for HD channels

Airtel Digital TV is charging absurd chages for ESPN HD channel Rs150. Is there any regulatory to decide on this that how much can they charge. If one provider can chage just Rs50 for 5 HD channel including ESPN how can they charge Rs 150 and get away just by saying every comapy is different and have different policies over pricing.

Airtel Digital TV — Poor and Worst Service

HI.....

This complain regarding the Airtel Digital tv services. As the response from the customer care team member is very worst. The way of conversation from the customer care member is rude. They doesn't have any idea to convinced the customer. Time to time calling to the customer care number generates too much bill but it doesn't matter if the results comes in our favor.

Kindly look into this issue very seriously.
