Sorry to bring this to your attention, but Airtel service in Mumbai has simply become a breeding ground of 'gundas'. I had this broadband connection (account number[protected], landline number - [protected], DSL - [protected]_mh). After using it for a few months I wanted to change my plan, but the representative said that is not possible. Instead, he said I need to apply for a new connection and close my old connection. I did get myself a new connection and called the customer service centre to close my old connection. I had also paid whatever outstandings was there for this connection. They said that they have closed the connection. Now 2 months after this, the Airtel people are threatening me day and night, saying that the connection was never closed and I have to pay the rentals for these 2 months. They have also started sending goons to my house, who were literally on the verge of abusing me, as I am a single lady staying alone.
I immediately want some response on this as i am planning to consult a lawyer in this regard very soon.

Yesterday again I have received a call from Airtel Mobile Number [protected] and executive told his name Prashant and he asked me a silly question why am I calling Customer Care for Billing Discrepancy Issue of Rs1248 and when I told him that I don't want to speak to him as I was afraid that he was not calling from Airtel Service Number [protected] from where customer receives call whenever they have issue he was using his personal number than he replied I have all your details and I am calling from 121 customer care than I asked him do u know Avinash he said he is sitting next to me and he is our team member.
What is this going on Airtel why I am receiving such harassment calls repeatedly after continuously complaining to Airtel about this issue and this is my third email however I have not received any feedback from Airtel for my last two emails in the past which are also attached to this email.
Why I am continuously being Harassed by Airtel, I want answer from Airtel and why My issue is taken for granted what is the Nodal and Apellete desk doing when I have reported this issue to them several times Why I am being unnecessarily charged in the Bill why I have a Billing Discrepancy in my current Bill and why my call drop and Network Issue is not resolved why that Executive Avinash is Harassing me continuously with his other colleagues who are calling me from different numbers why?

Inspite of continously complainning to Nodal Desk I recieved a call on 21st August from the same number [protected] and Avinash was on the call however he was using the other name NITIN KUMAR I recognised his voice than he said " AGAR TUNE PEHCHAN HI LIYA HAI TOH SUNN ABHI TERA Rs 500 KA REVERSAL KARAYA HAI JOH TUJHE AAJ PATA CHAL GAYA HOGA AUR NEXT BILL MEIN DEKH MAI TERE SATH KYA KARWATA HOON" .
My question to Airtel is that is this the way Airtel behaves with its customers in such unprofessional way, why such uneducated employes are hired by Airtel to abuse customers? Adjustments which was given to me every month were all justified as I am facing a lot of issue with non covergae location and call drops issue is very frequent on my connection, all the adjustments which was given to me are shown in the bill how can they be cancelled anytime, this is not the way to behave, it is a very stupid act which Airtel is following in this month's bill I have recieved a Reversal of Rs 1248 for all the adjustments if it is not removed I will not sit quiet, Airtel is following unappropriate practices Its a MENTAL HARRASMENT which Airtel is doing with me I have gone under High Depression. Its very hard to digest that Airtel is behaving in such worst way.My Second question is why these Nodal Desks and Amplette desk are made for when the executives sitting on them fool the customer they even don't fulfill their commitment, on 22nd August I called up Amplette desk and narrated the same Issue to MONIKA she assured me that she will escalate the issue and will look into the matter and will get back to me in 48hrs however she never turned up after that I again called Amplete desk twice to speak to her and I was told that she will call me back with in two hours however she never called from last 3 days I have called numerous times to Nodal Desk to customer care and also to Amplette desk however no one has given me a valid answer, now where should I approach, Airtel services has gone worst these days, in my life my First connection when I started using cellphone was Airtel that point of time services and network of Airtel was the best as compared today it is the worst.
Team I need valid answer for all my Issues which I have drafted in this email, will not leave it as I have all My Bills in which Adjustments have been Given in the past and its my request to Airtel to employ responsible executives on AMplette desk and Nodal Desk as I have lost all my trust on them as they try to fool the customer by giving false excuses and Please look into that Abusive call Issue seriously if it has happened with me it can happen with any Airtel Customer.

i have a connection[protected] send me the bill on email and look into that number as it has been shifted as per your records for which the charges have been levied on my account whereas the number is still installed at my original address which is fine as i did cancel the request.
You people have started delivering the bill on the new address without asking me for an address proof.The surprising thing is that the connection has not been shifted but your records show it has been.
Good work guys keep up the wonderful work.Anyways, reverse the shifting charges and all the late payment charges as you kept on delivering the bill at the wrong address or im going to sue you guys.I have had enough of it.

Airtel — Internet not working since 27th September for 20 days:: Service request closed without processing.
Hi,Internet on my number [protected] is not working since 27th September 2011.
I have raised requests which have either been closed without servicing or are still in the open states (beyond your scheduled SLA times).
I am not sure what you are doing to resolve the same from the above date but on my part i am not at all happy with the customer service from airtel that a simple request takes more than 18 days and that too it is still in the unresolved state.
Do let me know by when are you planning to resolve the problem and provide a permanent solution since this problem is recurring from the beginning.
As an update i would like to inform you that the service request that i had raised on 13th October has been again closed without processing.Can i know what is the reason for this?
My internet is still not working and neither do i see the intent on Airtel's part to rectify the problem quickly.
Airtel Broadband — Pathetic Response to numerous complaints - relevant actions taken and no results. Problem still persists!
I have been a customer of Airtel Broadband since 6 years in Bangalore and Delhi and was satisfied with their offerings and after sales services till the time I took a new broadband connection for my home.Since last three months my internet connection is dropping at least 15 times in a day for 10 minute each. Here I would like to emphasize that my work is heavily dependent on internet connectivity and every second of disconnection can just wash away a very significant amount of transaction and downloads.
I had first called Airtel Broadband 3 months back in August stating my problem. They said they will not register the complaint and "observe" the problem (see the screenshots of my observation). After that I had called them at least 15 times in three months for the same issue but it was not resolved. Finally on September 5, they took my complaint as "legitimate" one and issued a complaint number along with a time commitment to resolve the issue. It never happened.
Since then, every time I call them, I hear their standard set of sentences "How may I help you. I am sorry for your inconvenience. Give me a chance to resolve your issue. What is your modem number and bla bla bla"... and believe me, after three months of daily suffering I dont give a to their help, sorry or modem number! I wonder why they had not put my modem number in their database at the time of installation... I have told them 15 times and yet when I call, they ask for my modem number!
So... yes, action was taken on complaints. My connection's new wiring was changed completely and I was assured that the link will not drop again, I was told to "observe" and check the modem status when the link drops, I was told that the modem will be changed (which BTW, never happened) and many more commitments from Airtel call center agents as well as their visiting engineers. As of now, the problem still persists. My internet connection is dropping at least 15 times in a day and it shows no connectivity for 10 minutes every time it drops. No sign of relief and a loss of business and mental health.

Strange thing is that all the complaints except the recent one were closed by Airtel without even asking me if the issue was resolved. Happy assumption Airtel! What is the best solution? Should I go to consumer forum? How will they help me?
As of now when I am typing, my internet connection is lost again and I am waiting for it to come up and press the "Submit" button! Ironic!
I think Mr. Mittal should set "Kyunki har ek CUSTOMER zaroori hota hai" as the theme song for Airtel Broadband division.
Airtel Broadband — replacement of wifi that less than 1 year old
Unfair practice of Airtel Basic and broadband services.I bought the WIFI through Airtel on 19th June’11 vide 21354 by paying Rs. 1499/- in cash. Initially, I had the modem since 2005. On 1st Aug’11 I lodged a complaint as my broadband was not working. Engineer came and declared that WI FI that procured in June’11 is not responding so it needs to be replaced. I spoke to 198 helpline at airtel to replace this but the suggested to contact manufacture as same was in warranty. Manufacture refused to entertain me and requested to speak at airtel. Then I again lodged a complaint vide ref no 5538108 & 5618772, date 12th Oct’11. But these complains were closed without speaking to me. At last I lodged a complaint to disconnect my line as they are not honor my request and ready to believe that wifi is only 3-4 months old. Before disconnection I was been contacted by several persons from the airtel and assured me to replace my faulty wifi but nothing have been done and line got disconnected. Then I contacted the nodal office through email and register a request to resume my line vide ref no. 6383354, 6130044. Nodal officer had assured me to replace the same after verified the invoice (attached with mail).Consequently I requested to resume my lines with copy to [protected]@airtel.in. However nodal officer was agreed to replace the same and ensure me to wifi will be replaced by 29th Oct before 9.18 hrs vide 6344578 dated 28th Oct’11. Sice no one had turned up I again contacted to customer care for replacement. This time I got shocked to know that the service request no 6344578 was been closed as same has been replaced by Zafar, mob # [protected].
After that I contacted nodal officer and appellate at airtel and briefed the problems I have been facing by dealing with airtel.
Today I got a mail from nodal office that order/request no 6344578 has been revoked without giving any reason and my all requests have also been closed including request that was registered with appellate ( ref no 42132709 dated 3/11/11) to restore the line and replace wifi. Then I again contacted the customer care to reactivate my line vide 6719648, 01/11/11.

I am a FRUSTRATED customer of your PATHETIC telecom company!
I have been facing issues of wrongful deduction of balance for so long that it seems that it is a regular policy of your company to harass its customers. The instances have been outlined here for your perusal:
Instance 1 - One day out of the blue, I received an sms saying that my free caller tune has been activated which was followed by another sms saying that I have been charged Rs. 30.00 for the same. Then after several unending & torturous hours of trying to contact your customer service, I got through to one guy only to be hanged upon. Several attempts & explanations later I could finally talk to someone after which the money was refunded.
Instance 2 - Again I received an sms saying that some sms subscription service has been activated and for that Rs. 5.00 have been deducted. Again I had to go through the never-ending process of calling your "world-class" (full of sarcasm in case you didn't realize) customer service. When I finally got through, I explained the whole issue and again got the refund. I also got DND activated.
Instance 3 - This is the incident that happened today i.e. 16/12/2011 around 6:00 PM. I got a recharge done for the sms pack. I get a monthly recharge done for Rs. 36.00 which gives 1000 local + national sms for one month. I opted for the same again. Before getting the recharge done I confirmed with the shop-keeper about the plan and he also confirmed that this sms pack was for local & national smses both. After getting the recharge done, I received an sms from airtel which i quote verbatim; "Recharge Successful on[protected] at 06:17 PM. Talktime Rs. 1.00. MRP Rs. 36.00. TransID[protected]. 1000 local+national sms, 100 per day."
Post this I tried calling your tedious customer service yet again wherein your service rep transferred my call to the supervisor. The supervisor told me that this particular pack had been changed from today i.e. from 12 AM in the morning and that now it includes only local sms.
I take this service pack only for sending national sms, so what the heck am I supposed to do with the local sms balance. And this happens without the company even bothering to inform the retailers or customers about the change in the product (even after 19 hours of the change being in effect). And to top all that, the company is still sending recharge success sms with the old details.
All the above may be menial amounts to you but for the common man they aren't. And just because Rs. 36.00 is a small amount does not justify your stupid company to con its customers. People had faith in your behemoth telecom company but it seems that it is slowly dwindling away now.
And in addition to all my woes, your customer service is just plain pathetic & obnoxious. Whenever I try to call your customer service, instead of the options of what number to press, I get to hear about your stupid promotions & new plans and at the end it just mentions that to repeat the menu I should press 0. How the [censored] am I supposed to know what key to press if I do not even get to hear the options??!!? Same is the case with your customer complaint no. (198).
I have 4-5 airtel connections in my family but if this is the kind of service that you guys are gonna provide then I seriously would consider switching to another service provider.

These days when all the companies are trying to woo customers, the oldest and the most trusted telecom company (Airtel) has been consistently letting it's customers down. Its not just me who is frustrated but several of my friends & acquaintance toos. If this is the way your company is gonna be, the way forward, then you will surely lose your trusted customer base (or whatever is left of it).

I am a FRUSTRATED customer of your PATHETIC telecom company!
I have been facing issues of wrongful deduction of balance for so long that it seems that it is a regular policy of your company to harass its customers. The instances have been outlined here for your perusal:
Instance 1 - One day out of the blue, I received an sms saying that my free caller tune has been activated which was followed by another sms saying that I have been charged Rs. 30.00 for the same. Then after several unending & torturous hours of trying to contact your customer service, I got through to one guy only to be hanged upon. Several attempts & explanations later I could finally talk to someone after which the money was refunded.
Instance 2 - Again I received an sms saying that some sms subscription service has been activated and for that Rs. 5.00 have been deducted. Again I had to go through the never-ending process of calling your "world-class" (full of sarcasm in case you didn't realize) customer service. When I finally got through, I explained the whole issue and again got the refund. I also got DND activated.
Instance 3 - This is the incident that happened today i.e. 16/12/2011 around 6:00 PM. I got a recharge done for the sms pack. I get a monthly recharge done for Rs. 36.00 which gives 1000 local + national sms for one month. I opted for the same again. Before getting the recharge done I confirmed with the shop-keeper about the plan and he also confirmed that this sms pack was for local & national smses both. After getting the recharge done, I received an sms from airtel which i quote verbatim; "Recharge Successful on[protected] at 06:17 PM. Talktime Rs. 1.00. MRP Rs. 36.00. TransID[protected]. 1000 local+national sms, 100 per day."
Post this I tried calling your tedious customer service yet again wherein your service rep transferred my call to the supervisor. The supervisor told me that this particular pack had been changed from today i.e. from 12 AM in the morning and that now it includes only local sms.
I take this service pack only for sending national sms, so what the heck am I supposed to do with the local sms balance. And this happens without the company even bothering to inform the retailers or customers about the change in the product (even after 19 hours of the change being in effect). And to top all that, the company is still sending recharge success sms with the old details.
All the above may be menial amounts to you but for the common man they aren't. And just because Rs. 36.00 is a small amount does not justify your stupid company to con its customers. People had faith in your behemoth telecom company but it seems that it is slowly dwindling away now.
And in addition to all my woes, your customer service is just plain pathetic & obnoxious. Whenever I try to call your customer service, instead of the options of what number to press, I get to hear about your stupid promotions & new plans and at the end it just mentions that to repeat the menu I should press 0. How the [censored] am I supposed to know what key to press if I do not even get to hear the options??!!? Same is the case with your customer complaint no. (198).

AIRTEL customer care never responds to complaint emails. As rightly said AIRTEL CLOSES complaints on its own without any action to rectify the complaint.

Since July 07, 2011, i have been logging a request with airtel to shift my airtel connection (fixed line and broadband) to a new house in the same locality.
They gave me false assurance that it will happen and did not even register the request into the system.
The services were not availed since 7July, but got to know just last week from the harassing call by the airtel legal department that we are suppose to pay the dues, in spite of paying the extra bills for July to airtel.

I registered my application for a new connection in on 07/11/2011 16:20:39 via application No: ONGHAZI00009733 and reminded Airtel for delay in connection on 30/11/2011 10:21:32 AM (Riff: No.7568190). That was approximately 2.5 months form today.
Due to the reluctance on my concern from airtel I switched over to a different service provider (which now I am very satisfied of) and asked for a refund on 20/12/2011 06:21:30 PM (Riff: No 9082744) which is one month from today.
In reply to my mail yesterday i.e on Jan 18, 2012 airtel asks that I should weight for one more month for for another mail that will again ask me to weight for one more month.
I guess 500 Rs is not a big amount for anyone today but I do not know why Airtel responds this way (specially to a customer which is with airtel from last 3 years)

I just want to tell you that I am not just a consumer of your services but also am a shareholder in your company. I tend to judge the performance of a stock based on my experience of the service. If you notice, your company's share price has not been appreciating much in the last year or so. I believe that your company has begun to go downhill. This last statement is based on my experience which I would like to narrate. You see Mr. Mittal, I want to be a successful stock trader. In order to be successful, I need to practice my trading. So I take leave from my workplace and sit down to trade. Since August 2011, every-time I sat down to trade, your ADSL tends to go down making it impossible for me to trade. I have been making only one complaint since then till date and my problem has not been resolved. I instead received an e-mail stating that I am a platinum customer. When I call your call center, I am able to escalate this problem only up to to level of a supervisor. Beyond this level no one is accessible (believe me because I once tried convincing one of your supervisor's for 30 minutes before giving up). Funny part Mr. Mittal is that I too am the head of a Customer Servicing Team and I personally believe that if an organization wants to improve then a even the head of the organization must be accessible. This not happening in your organization is an indicator for me that the internals are beginning to rot. This probably happens with being at the number 1 spot for too long. Sir, unless you do something to stem this rot, I believe there will again come a day when Bharti Airtel's stock will be available at Rs. 29-30.
I am genuinely fed up of having to report the same issue for the past 7 months. I have even gone to the extent of telling your supervisors to give me something new to complain about and I may be happy, but having to complain about the same problem for so long is really really sad. If this is my experience as a Platinum customer, I can only imagine the hell that a normal customer would be going through in dealing with your company.
