[Resolved]  Airtel Mumbai — Very poor network

Hi,
I am Rishiraj Rawat & i have a prepaid connection of Airtel Mumbai no. [protected] & its life time card.I stay at Asha Nagar,Thakur Complex,Kandivali (E).The network of Airtel is so poor at my home that sometimes i don't have it for hours.And sometime when its there i just couldn't get the voice clarity.I humbly request Airtel to kindly improve there network in this area.

Hi my mobile number is [protected]. Its a life time prepaid card. I got a message from Airtel (6781) saying that You have subscribed to Hello Tunes. Also It said you can unsubscribe by sending calling[protected].

First of all I never subscribed to any of the hello tunes. Also i did unsubscribe by calling the above number to take precaution. But nevertheless, they have deducted 30 rs for hellotunes and 20 rs for download which we came to know from the customer care executives.

They have unsubscribed the hello tunes but has failed to refund my 30 rs which the customer care said will be done in 24 hrs. Now four days have passed and no action has been taken. Infact they have blocked my number to register to any further complaints.

Not at all satisfied with the Airtel Customer Service.

My Name is Rittesh A Vora & my no. is [protected] . I m customer of Airtel fm last 1 mth. On 09/05/2008 I recd a call saying that “we are Dealers of Airtel & i[censored] pay us Rs 600/ u r call chgs will reduce to 50ps for lifetime. Our Add is at Bandra Also u would get talktime of Rs 600/-.” So I was happy to get the scheme. The next day that is on 10/05/08 there peon came &. He showed an ICard of Bharti Enterprise & gave me a form of Airtel to fill the details. He also took my licence copy & Rs.600 from me. I had saved the mobile nos. from where I recd the calls.
But till date no recharge has been made on my no. nor I hav recd any refund. I call him up on his mobile but he told me that it would be done today. Then after he told you will receive u r refund but no refund is recd by me. Now I came to know that I hav lost that amount. That is ok.
I want to alert the Airtel Co. that on behalf o[censored]r company some strangers r cheating ur customers which would ultimately affect the Airtel Co. The brand name of the Co. is being spoiled. I request u take some rigorous stepts to stop this. I think u can also trace there nos. which r as follows [protected]/[protected]. the first no is working. I request u pl trace the no & catch the culprit or else ur many customers would be cheated & which would affect the companys image.

I had a similar experience. Let me give you a brief on that.

A couple of days ago, I got a call from some Airtel representative (Not sure if he is an actual representative from airtel or some fraud guy). The guy claimed to be calling from the 'Awesome' department of airtel. His name was Raj Shastri ([protected]). He offered me a postpait scheme with rental 199 Rs / month (local 50 ps, std 1 Re) and a free talktime of 200 Rs. I liked this scheme over my current one.

However, to activate this scheme, he asked me to re-submit all identity and address proof documents plus a sum of Rs 600 which is refundable after 3 months. He insisted to pay this amount on cash!!!

Being an existing customer of Airtel, i do not understand why they would ask for the documents again.. Also, why would Airtel charge a deposit of sum of Rs. 600 for a mere change of bill plan?

He claimed to be calling from the office located at

7th Floor,
Link Road,
Lower Parel West
Mumbai.

I checked with airtel 121 and they confirmed that there is no department called 121. I believe that there are a group of guys who are doing such frauds. They just want to collect Rs 600 on the name of changing of scheme and eat away that amount.

I just want to register complaint against Airtel service provider in mumbai. iam complaining to Airtel right from the begining that lots of cross connection held for all the customer between Sion and Mahim from last 1 month, but there is no response at all. iam suffering a lot because of this problem, before reply me please u also try it by calling from MTNL to Airtel service, you have to pay 5 to 6 Rs, because first 2 to 3 calls will be cross connection after that only you can speak to concern person, Please do the needfull things as soon as possible. I am Sanjay using airtel GSM since 28 feb 2008. Since 2 march I am roaming in India, Unfortunately this GSM not working while roaming. On behalf of airtell customer care I submitted all relevent document to airtel customer care representetive twice at Mumbai chembur centre. But I dont know why they are not activating my number yet ..still I am in Roaming.

Airtel — Bad Mobile Network & in Mumbai city

I Have been a customer of Airtel since the past 2-3 yrs and have always had a problem with the network in my house which is located in Goregaon Mumbai.
I have complained for nearly over 6-7 months through calls and emails with various kinds of responses from various kinds of representatives of Airtel with various promises which have been lies.
I cannot change my no. as it exists with various people and have have been through troubled times when I did change my no. once.
Such a big company can't correct their services in the biggest Metro of India is unbelievable to me.
I have never missed my payment as I cannot afford to have my connection automatically disconnected.
Yes when the new law comes into place wherein I can retain my no. and choose my service provider I will be the happiest to get out of this stupid Airtel's Network.
To Gaurav, I would like to ask you are a resident of Mumbai since how many years. If you have stayed here for long, you should have known that Interface is a building on Link Road in Malad (W) and Lower Parel wouldn't have any such road. I think u should remember that in every city one cardinal rule applies.

The old city has names of great personalities and the suburbs have modernistic names. That is what my experience says.

Airtel Mumbai - its the worst network...
readers pls ask your relatives and friends who come for vacations to use any other service provider.
Use Airtel Mumbai at your own risk, I have suffered several times and so has my family.

Hi I am Sameer Hear, I am using Airtel Government Card Past 3 month. Last 18 days To today, My msg Is not Sent, I called to Custmer Service of Airtel, He says, Your Request i Forward...
But I have no responce give By Airtel, Last 18 days I Talk Minimum 15 or 16 diffent Customer Executives.But I have not got any responce Once a time I Go to Lower Parel Airtel Gallary- He Also Give Me a same reply.
I can Under Stand 1 or 2 days Network Problem, But 18 -19 day, I cant Belive This Air Tel Service.

I got a message from airtel no. 6781 on 5-2-'09 at 9.52 a.m.congratulating me for starting hello tunes when I made no such request. next I got the message from 6782 that I have been charged Rs. 15 for the hello tune "tujhmein rab dikhta hai. Please, I request you to remove this at once. I am an old lady and I hate such juvenile behavior. lastly I was informed that another RS. 30 has been charged for some download. I have not downloaded anything, in fact I don't know how to do all this. I request you to please credit my Rs. 45 deducted without my permission to book any hello tune and download. my prepaid mob no. is [protected] with airtel GPRS facility, air tel deducting wrongly from my balance on down loading songs through gprs, AIRTEL GPRS gives unlimited downloading facility at a charge of 15 rupees daily, on7th march they deducted 87.50rupees from my a/c on downloading, on enquire customer care she simply replied sir i m forwarding ur complaint, one week ago my gprs charges were deducting twice in a day on enquire customer care deposited rupees 15 in my a/c back, i want to know whether AIR TEL making such type of mistake delibrately to cheat the customer.or they have a cross checking section, if yes then what action they are taking on wrong deduction.i want to convey my massage to all customer of air tel please donot trust on air tel and check ur balance regularily without fail, as such type of mistakes occurs in the knowledge of management for profit, and the high level management allow their engineers to editing the secure software system, without this how this type of mistakes r happennig.
