I have been having an airtel connection since the last 5 years and always thought that airtel was the best. What I did not know was that it is the best only so long as it is working. If there is a problem, dealing with the dumb customer care execs and the gallery is a royal pain.
Last month I lost my phone and lodged a complaint to block the card. It was done in a reasonable time. Now, the problem to get a new card and reactivate. I had to go to Airtel gallery to submit an application. I did this at Ghatkopar and was told that the service would start in 4 hours. The 4 hours became 24 hours and after hanging on to the helpline like for ever, without any result, I had to again go to the gallery. After another assurance, I returned and still no signs of it starting. Once more I trooped to the gallery and this time, I refused to leave till he ensures it starts. So, finally it does, Thank God!
Now, starts the next problem. Since it was being used by my son who is now a major, I wanted to get the billing done in his name. I was asked to give so many details and after all this, was given a reference number. Again the follow up starts and I am assured that it will be done within 7 days, 10 days... All the while, there is not a single call from their side, asking for additional info, papers etc. After a month, no change in the name and on following up now, I understand that the service record has vanished and again I have to start the procedure all over again and submit the required papers. IS THIS SERVICE???

Hi Service Team,

Three months back I have converted mi SIM from prepaid to post paid.

I receive my first bill well in advance before due date.
Second bill I didnt received yet.

Third bill due date is tomorrow, I havent received yet.

I only get alerts on mobile and I pay bill.

I want a copy of bill to be sent to my address well in advance before due date.

Airtel — Reduction of balance without any cause

On 10 july 2008 my balance got reduced from rs 89 to rs 58 without any cause.when i called customer care they answered differently.when i said them that i will complain to consumer forum they send me a message that your hello tune will be activated.but i have never requested them to activate hello tune.
I m getting a message, "please insert SIM" since last week even though SIM is inside the phone. And all of sudden after few hours my SIM got activated. This is still happening to me. So please suggest me what to do in this problem.
3 weeks ago i got a phone call fron airtel call centre for postpaid connection, i called up the executive and made payment of 1800/- cash for our prepaid to postpaid connection, executive gave me 3rd copy of the form as a recipt but till a date we have not recived our cards or any query from that number, the girl is not attending our call also, we a purchased 3 cards for Rs.600 per, that girl named soniya and number is [protected] we had not recived any information of our connection or card from thatside.

Please help us for this, we had facing many problems from our home for this reason please take some action for this frods

I am Airtel user since last two years...initially I was using prepaid; now I am using postpaid services. I did not face any major problem till 6 month back. Now the situation is such at Networks comes & goes anywhere anytime.

It is difficult to contact customer care, even it I reach customer care executive, he says you need to dial some other no and dial the same case no again. I have been trying this since last 15 days. I am busy therefore could not do to Airtel gallery. Once reached it was closed (Malad).

I have already switched over to other user and trying to cancel...not successful till date.

I am Airtel Prepaid user last 3 month.I have recghare my mobile through icicibank prepaid facility of Rs. 205.00, this amount is debited from my account, but still i have not receive any balance.It's not good for customer.

I have made a recharge to my mobile number of 50 Rs from icici saving account but recharge has not been done.

Dear Sirs,
I have activated the "KHUSHI" service vide SMS 53636 by mistake. On realizing that 7 Rs will be deducting from my balance every week. Hence, I wish to discontinue this services with immediate effect.
I have called the customer care on several occasions which have been of no use my money is still be deducted.

Can you please deactivate this services at the earliest.

I, Dhruv Bilakhia, have already forwarded my complaint more than 3 times for stardust subscription pack to be de-activated. Rs 10 is getting deducted from balance every week. I am getting harassed due to this as there is no appropriate support from your side.

As i m your customer. My landline is kept dead from 1st of march 2009 till now it is dead. i had to call my friends in holi. i had complained so many times to treat my problem but i havent got the response from your workers not even single time. So please sort out my problem and take immediate action otherwise i will have leave the connection as soon as possible. I have taken a new airtel No [protected] not yet activated i have given all the papers required on the 22nd today is 24th and no sign of the card being activated need urgent help in the same the service levels are really deteorating sorry to say this even after your airtel gallery promises within an hour it will be activated there is no sign of activation.
I was using the airtel prepaid number [protected] from approx 05 years. Suddenly on 05th May 2009 massage was showing as sim card registration failed. So I rushed to the nearest airtel galary, where a person informed me that my number has been deleted and I have to take the new number. So called up the Customer Care ([protected]) on 13th may (10:25 am.) and spoke with the executive and the Supervisor. Both stated that they don't have any record and asked to contact the airtel galary. After that I lost my patience and advised the supervisor to keep it up the same thing and loose the customers one by one.
my wife is been debited with 30rs for heelo tunes unneccary we were given heelo tunes for free download but at that time they did not inform about monthly charges so please refund our money and stop this nonsensce as your credibity is questioned my wife no is [protected] so cancel your hello tunes and credit money as i am complaing on 1st day of hello tues activation that is 14/05/2009
Helpless Customer Care Service Team,
I have registered with your company through post paid connection since last 1 year.
My cell no is [protected], from this number I am not getting/receiving sms since last 15 days
Right now I am using idea services in Pune. I have also called idea customer care but they are clearly saying that the problem is not from their side. It means that the Air Tel should slove on the urgent basis.
No body is giving proper response. Every time the post paid customer care number is busy [protected].
I am really faid up due to this. Finally I have decided to lodge a complaint with the consumer court.
I am sure by doing this, only poor customer care will get improve.
Most important thing is that for the sake of attracting the more customers this conncection service companies are using these words such as customer Care, Any Time, Any Where Customer care.
These all words are of no use if the customers are treated like this.
As a fade up customer, now I am having only option to lodge the complaint with consumer court.

When ever I recieved any ISD call why the number doesnt come properly. I have got a ISD call todays morning and unfortunately i havnt recieve the call. But again i cant make the call back as i have not
got the compelete number from Missed call list.

The call came this morning like 11: 23 am. Could you please SMS me the number so that i can contact to the consult person.

Work to be done ASAP basis.
