Now I received a message that my limit is Rs.1000/- and my usage is above Rs.810/-, So I am not satisfied with this message. I am vathsala working in TCS. I recently bought Airtel Postpaid connection (Corporate ).
I have deposited Rs 500 as security deposit.At my registration time, Airtel said the security deposit is refundable.
Due to some reason i have disconnected my connection. I have requested Airtel for my money back.
But they said its not refundable.

I need justice. Airtel cheating others.

The same number i am still using as prepaid. I need someone should answer for this.
I am mobile service holder of airtel from last so many years my mobile no. [protected]. Every time they send there bill via paper bill and we pay for the same but from last few month they send there bill via e mail.

1) without confirm with me they change bill from paper bill to e bill

2) on 10.05.13 or 11.05.13 i got one call from airtel mobil no.[protected] after listen my full problem she committee to sent her collection boy on Monday i.e 13.05.13 with paper bill and collect the full payment. But she don&#039;t sent any collection boy and stop my outgoing service from 16.05.13. When again i call to 121 but they are not taken any complain.

When i got the bill i was amazed to see they charged me 7500/- When i contacted customer care they said its for the GPRS charges which i used, Whats the point of giving 1GB Free when you still want to charge for it, Airtel misleading the customers with the plans and later they are charging the customers as per their wish then later they keep apologizing stating it was a system error etc.Please rectify as soon as possible.

    I have taken duplicate sim card on 21/07 and i assured it will activate by evening.Till today activation was not happened.
    Now they given new time line for activation ..29/07/2008.

    I have very important business meetings with this number and i can not change my number.
    For activation it will take hardly 2 hours...but why taking days first and again 4 more days.This is totally unaccetable service from Airtel.Pl take necessary this rectify the issue.

    Airtel Sim Card — Provided documents, frozen twice

    On holiday in India I purchased an airtel sim card in Darjeeling in early October 2007. The office took copies of my passport and all forms were completed. Two days later I recd an sms saying I'd be cut off if documents not received. I went back to the office and they said they'd sent them in, those messages are standard procedure.
    Ten days later when I was in Kerala the same message came through and service was suspended so I gave the Allephuzzha airtel office my passport again and they had service restored. About 10 days later service was suddenly suspended AGAIN without warning with the third time sms about documents not being received. I wonder if there is corruption involved - my id being used by criminals. It was also a waste of money because I couldn't use the calls I'd paid for.

    Hi Sir/Madam,

    I applied for the new Airtel Sim card but inspite of submitting all the documents the Airtel team didn't activate the service.I tried calling them many times but every time they behaved as if they are least bothered about my issue.They don't even think what their actual responsibilities are, everytime they people talked rediculously and personally I felt very disappointed.
    I asked one of the lady(her number is [protected] who took the docs from me, i tried to reach her too, but that lady doesn't even care to take our call.

    PLease consider this point and help.

    I submitted the documents and two people came for verification (one for Office address and one for my room address) Now my problem is my vodafone number deactivated(01/02/2014) and got airtel signal for verification of name and address. I called for 59059 .They are telling name mismatch.(Note :am not filled form, they told by seeing documents we will only fill the form) .

    I called 59059 from Sunday moring they told they will initiate the process to update the name and address It will take 24 hours .Again I called for 59059 Monday morning they told same thing it will take 24 hours to update .Again today I called they are telling same thing it will take another 24 hours to update the record. I called the people who took my address proof and given airtel SIM (Touch Point Services). For these procedure I called so many numbers which they called before getting to Airtel from past Two days more then 40 times. They are telling they are busy in meeting or we will get back to you or not receiving call.Its very bad. I send mail to tps.airtel.[protected]@gmail.com regaring problem which am facing but no reply. I don&#039;t know in airtel where the document goes and procedure what we need to follow and whom we need to contact for activation.people are telling its not coming under our work. Am using only one SIM from past 3 years and its given to my client and registered with banks. Now I cant call to anyone and not activated my number. Its really a serious issue for me .       I had taken new airtel connection my no is [protected].
      Inspite of submitting all the documents, malls being stopped, moreover when i complained about the same to customer care, I receive a message that your id is 3765570 and your std calls are activated, but the same not done.
      When I called again in customer care they told that we not receive your documents but I submitted all the documents at the centre.My outgoing calls are still not started.
      Requesting you to please do the needful urgently.

        My number [protected]. I had balance of Rs. 3 and i recharge my account with Rs. 50 online with hdfc bank. I get my balance and quickly money has been deducted for without any reason.. I have only Rs. 31.80 now. This is fourth time happen with me. Airtel is biggest cheater in india.

        Airtel Gujarat — online mobile Recharge not showing

        Yesterday March 9, 2009 I recharged online for Rs 555 my cell phone connection with AIRTEL through my ICICI account at Vadodara.

        The ICICI account shows the recharge was a success but my mobile does not show the balance. In the ICICI account statement it is shown as BIL/[protected]/0109/[protected]/91999 dr for Rs 555.

        Please let me know what can be done.
        Further to my complaint above, I was told the 555 and 444 scheme is off. They told me at the Alkapuri Baroda center of Airtel that nowadays Rs 440 scheme is on. Iconfirm this with ringing 121 and 12131. So I go back to my computer and recharge online thru ICICI for Rs 440 - still it does not show up in my cell although my ICICI account is debited for Rs 440. [ My relevant pass book entry reads as: 10/03/2009 BIL/[protected]/0109/[protected]/91999 DR INR 440.00].

        Today (March 12, 2009) again I went to the same Airtel center at Alkapuri Baroda - they tell me to talk to the phone consumer support. I do - the person on the line after hearing my problem tells me "this is not part of his scenario." Meaning I cannot do anything about it. He does not even suggest who will help me.

        One young lady staff seeing my irritation phones up various people to tell me that their fiance dept say that if you do online only Rs 425 is allowed (which the 121 service did not tell me) and my money will be credited back by Saturday -today is Thursday. So till now I have to recover Rs 555 and Rs 440.

        I give up.

        It's a fact. You can not recharge through ICICI.Though you'll get your money back once U complaint with ICICI & Airtel. But It's a long procedure.
        I have recharged the mobile through internet ATM Card of icici Bank on 14.04.2009 of Rs 55 from Ahmedabad, but amount is not credited in my phone balance.

          I have got my mobile phone no. from the above maini precision, Bangalore and left the company in July 2007 ., but I wanted to retain the same phone no [protected]

          Mr Kripa(his mobile no. [protected]) from Airtel, Bangalore have taken the form filled up plus company 's No objection clearance letterplus Rs 500/= address change fee, in November/ december 2007 and promised me to get done and the address will be changed & monthly bill will be sent to the home address.

          But despite so many calls and his promises, so far, address has not been changed and bills not coming to my home address. only message has been sent to me on bill amount without any details and I have been paying every month ontime.

          I request Airtel authority to take necessary action and change to my home address so that I will get the bill to my home address.

              I lost my phone on Wednesday June 29, 2011 and went to airtel center Nyeri branch for a sim replacement on 30th June at around 9.00 am. I was given a replacement sim card but up to 4.00pm my card had not been activated, I reported personally to the office and another replacement was done.               i have a very bad experience with airtel....

              they have deducted around 50 rupees first and when i complaint that in this form,

              they gave it back to me..

              but now on 6 feb 2012 at3:50 pm, they do the same (deduct) balance from my account and block my customer care service...

              plz solve that n stop these kind a foolish deduction

              help me, otherwise i will go to consumer court for these.

                  Sir, I was airtel postpaid customer last 5 and 6 years but i convert my airtel postpaid no. [protected] (sim no.[protected] to prepaid on 14.07.2008 at 10.15 A.M. but at this time my phone showing invalid sim last 7 days. On 17.07.2008 Miss Payal, Airtel Outlet customer care executive, kamla nagar gave me a new ( sim no.[protected] and said your phone start in 2 hours, but today is 21.07.2008 time 5.45 my phone showing invalid sim, when I want to talk kamla nagar airtel outlet manager Mr.Regi, Mr.Vikas and Miss payal, they gave me always one answer last 7 days ( KAL 12 BAJE TAK HO JAYEGA) I also talk 121 airtel customer care but he says you talk to outlet we could not do anything.

                    Complaint Launched Against:
                    Opposite Party Name – Airtel Mobile Services


                    Complaint Details:

                    Background:
                    I have been using Airtel services since year 2004. Initially it was pre-paid, then I changed to billing in year 2005, when I got corporate plan from my office. Since then till now, I am a post-paid customer of Airtel.

                    March’2008:
                    In second week of March I receive a call from an Airtel associate [as he called himself] offering me a “Hotline” plan. He explained me the plan, which was as follows:
                    - In this Hotline plan, I can make another Airtel postpaid number as my hotline number, meaning any calls made to and fro my and that number will be free.
                    I was glad to know that. I showed my interest and told that guy that the number which I want to make free is a Airtel pre-paid number. He said that I will have to make it post paid first to avail this offer. I said – “Fine’ll do that”.

                    Accordingly on 13th of March 2008 one boy named Narendra came to my office to collect the required documents.
                    1. I paid him Rs599/- [which included the Sim Cost as pre-paid was going to be converted to billing and some deposit of this plan which I was taking]
                    2. I gave him the old SIM number of the pre-paid card. [so that same number was to be converted to post paid]
                    3. And my ID proof zerox.
                    That same day that boy gave me new SIM card and said that within 48hrs this will be activated as billing and that old sim will be deactivated.

                    On 17th of March’2008, the new SIM got activated and we were very happy to avail this hotline plan. To be on safer side, as I had that associate’s name – Mangesh ([protected]) who had called me and offered me this plan and told him that my new sim is now activated and I’m availing this Hotline plan. So please keep a check that when the bill is generated I’m not charged for the calls that I make to this Hotline number and the vice-versa. He said nothing like this would happen and I can relax. I had warned him that it should not happen that after that bill is generated I get all charges for calling this hotline number and then I’ve to run to Airtel gallery. He still convinced me that nothing like this would happen.
                    Hence, I was carefree, relying on the words of the associate Mangesh, and availed that hotline service. I made calls to this hotline number and even calls were made from that number to my number.

                    Apr’2008:
                    My bill gets generated. I receive my first bill after activating this hotline plan. And not a surprise at all, I was charged for all the calls that I made on my so called hotline number. And even that hotline number was charged for call made to my number. I was totally frustrated. I first called up that associate Mangesh. But that mobile number was coming switched off. Then I called up Airtel Customer Care 121. There I explained them my problem and what hotline plan I have taken and how I am suppose to get all the call to hotline number free. They took my complaint and raised a service request. This was the first SR that I raised. After few days I receive a call from airtel where they tell me that no such plan is activated for me, and I am not eligible for any such hotline plan. I fought with them on the call. I told them that why had they called me up and offered this plan. I have the receipt. A guy named “Narendra” had come to my office to pick the documents I have all the proofs. Then they did further enquiry and one fine day I receive a call from Pune head office that they have deduced Rs300 from my bill. I told them that this new sim card has got activated from 17th Mar’2008. And since them all the calls from and to that number are suppose to be free. So from when have they considered and how have to concluded to a discount of Rs300 only. She did not any answer and she said that she will call again. But that call never came back.

                    May’2008:
                    I went to airtel galary and raised another request. I again explained the associate that entire case and she raised the request again. Like this I have made 4 SRs till now. And Airtel has closed all of them mentioning that I will not be getting such offer.

                    In the mean time in the month of May’08 I received twice calls from Airtel Bhandup office, offering me this Hotline plan. I was so annoyed on them. I said I have already taken this plan, but I am being charged for all the calls that I make to the hotline number. Once it was a height, when that associate told me that this hotline plan is especially for 299 Celebration plan customers [my billing plan is 299 Celebration].

                    So the billing department was telling that there is no such hotline plan in airtel, some other associates said that this hotline plan is not available for specially my billing plan. In the mean time other associates of Airtel called me thrice in the month of April and May 2008 offering me the same Hotline plan which I had already taken in Mar’08 and was suffering its after effects.

                    Now I have got frustrated, and mentally harassed by Airtel. Every time a new associate talks to me, and I have to spend my energy in explaining me the entire Ramayana again and again. And now the associates don’t even listen to my complaint and entire case, and simply ask me to pay the outstanding amount, which I am not going to pay. Even that Mangesh’s mobile is never available. The billing department people keep calling at my home, and they speak so rudely and loud voice. They now say that they will send me a legal notice. I have told them that I am going to take this to Consumer Court.

                    I am ready to clear the payments if the bill is calculated correctly as per the hotline plan. I am suppose to get either
                    - That Hotline plan as it was offered to me, recalculate my Mar to Jul2008 bills accordingly, then I will continue with Airtel OR
                    - Airtel should return me my Rs599 with interest. As they offered me Hotline plan which later they deny to service. What ever bills from March to Jul’08 should be calculated as per Hotline plan and that amout I am ready to pay. And after which I will discontinue Airtel Service officially.

                    I am totally fooled by Airtel. They are misleading the customers. There no consistency between departments. One department calls the customers and offers them and registers them for some exciting plans, and later the billing department is unware of any such plan and charges the customer.

                    I have discontinued that airtel number. As anyways they have barred my outgoing on that number. They show my total outstanding as Rs2900. I have taken another number from another service provider till then.

                    Please help me. I want justice.

                    VOdafone is much better than this stupid Airtel...
                    I am getting 15 rs charged every 10-12 days for some "FUSION LOUNGE" WAP service.
                    I have called HOTLINE from the Airtel gallery and requested to stop the service. For that, I have to call them allmost 4 times and still there responce is not satisfactory. And still I am getting charged for the same. The service is the worst and third class.

                      i am a customer of orissa AIRTEL, i am trying very hard to contact customer care of orissa airtel, but it is really impossible..no 121 or [protected] is responding...
                      yes it is true we are unable to caotact airtel customer care
                      MY MOB NO. [protected] RECHARGED ON 22.01.09 FOR RS. 30.00 AND MADE A CALL FOR RS. 2/- . THIS MOBILE WAS SWITCHED OF FROM 23.01.09 TO 27.01.09. AS I MADE A CALL FOR STD I FOUND INSUFFICIENT AMOUNT. WHEN I CHECKED THE BALANCE IT WAS RS 1.76.

                      THIS IS HAPPENING regularly. PLEASE LET ME KNOW HOW THIS DEDUCTION IS HAPPENING WITH OUT MAKING ANY CALL.

                        follow the below procedure to deactivate Online Friends chat...

                        Dial 543216 then choose the option 4 and then 6 and finally 2
                        without giving any request, airtel friendz chat has been activated in my mobile number which is unnecessarely charged Rs. 30/- PM without being used, i called the number in the message and deactivated manually. But like this if they are going to charge for lakhs of persons without any request..its just like stealing money ...very disgusting...(for eg., 30rs x 1lakh users = 30 lakhs in just a second).

                        Whose money is it anyway..who is going to bother...

                        I had a similar experience today. Rs 30 has been deducted from my prepaid account. When I tried to reach the customer service exes on 121, there's no option where i could reach an executive who could look into the complaint. I am getting all other options like the best offers of the day. these blokes ensure the so-called customer service execs are not available. I used to be an airtel customer but came back again after a few years thinking that things might have changed. But it's pathetic now. No wonder these blokes are fleecing innocent customers to ensure the legendary bharti mittal (mittal, are you listening) will one day become the richest in the world. it's high time we flushed this service provider out. I had to take an auto and drop in at an Airtel outlet in Madhapur. There too I got the same reponse from the customer service exes. It's time TRAI or some nodal agency chipped in to protect customer interests and let these unscrupulous leeches stop sucking our blood further.

I Have recharged my prepaid with Rs. 58 for reducing call rates on 8-October-2009, its validity ends in on 8-Nov- 2009. it ends on same day, but the problem is that this service is going to start daily deduction of rs 2 per day. so called customer care and told him do deactivate service. He told me to do a SMS to 51619. as per content he told i did it and my friends-1. is deactivated. so called to customer care and tell the story. but he is helpless.

                          Hi all,

                          When i was trying to recharge my prepaid account through internet, am getting a mesage after entered all the details (mobile number, amount to be recharged and location) recharge can not be processed at this time. i have been trying this since september middle. but i couldn't finish the process. may i know the exact reason for it is not working? am not here to receive this kind of response from the service provider. its frustrating me. if they can't consider these kind of issues, why they are providing online recharging facility to their customers?.

                          am very much annoyed by having airtel prepaid. please make sure this does not happen again.

                              I have been using the Airtel Broadband services for about 6 months now. Recently, I had got my plan changed to 2GB download limit, 512 KBPS to 4GB download limit and 4 MBPS. After doing this, they calculated my bill for the present month using the pro-rata basis (as they say). Now they have messed with the amount of download and upload I did during my usage. The explanation they the technical deptt gave me was that I had downloaded more than 7GBs and each extra GB costs to about Rs 1000!!! So, my bill comes to whooping Rs 6746 now, instead of Rs 1000.
                              I am using the softwares which record the amount of download and upload I do whenever I start my connection. The actual usage I see is about 4.8 GB. Now they are not accepting and giving their own false explanations.
                              I know that Airtel is pretty bad in the regard and they are at the top in doing the discrepancies in the billing (you can very well see from this forum, "Stay away Airtel (2252)"). I have my friends who have gone through a lot of pain, but it came with me this time. I plan to get this connection disconnected and go for some other service provider. I would recommend everyone never to buy any Airtel service.
                              But I would anyway get this settled, either with them, or legal!

                              airtel broadboand — discrepancy in bill

                              Hi all,

                              I have been using Airtel broadband for a year now. Bandwidth of 256 Kbps. This month I have received a bill of 3063 for broadband usage. And out of those Rs 3063, Rs 1578 have been charged in a single day and for around 4 hrs. At the specified time I was not at home but was at my work place and my system was not on.


                              When I called up customer care, they say they can’t help, as the line is very secure and no one else can use it in my absence and I will have to pay the bill.

                              Is there anything I can do about this? Is there a legal way out? And how can I prove that my computer was off at the specified time.

                              I have similar kind of problem.. what is pro rata basis calculation??? whatever it sucks ... and also Airtel customer care department too.. They hide the things and suck badly and the perfect example is me myself...shocking bills, which i will never pay by any means.

                              On 3rd june, 2009, my airtel broadband connection plan rs 749, 2mbps and 4GB limited plan has been activated. After using for around 10 days when I saw the usage is around 2 gb and the amount of bill is around 1400 rs. as I was aware of the fact that airtel makes false bills so I was prepared and discussed everything before implementing any thing.. so I had the setup email id with airtel from wher I used to get the infos on DSL and Phone usages and amount.


                              As my requirement is very high so I wanted to have the unlimited plan and so I called 121 and talked to one of the customer care representatives. He informed me about the three unlimited plans and I choosed the 649 plan. Then, I clearly asked him, If i get migrated to new plan what will be the charges will be levid for the usage of the current plan. He told me as you are with the plan 749 rs, 4 gb plan... you will have to pay 749 rupees for 4 GB usages.. and i[censored] exceed the amount then u need to pay the extra amount only for extra usage. Also after migration I got a call from the airtel depertment and they informed me the previous plan charges will be zero..as you have migrated to this plan...and the charges will be made on the new plan from now onwards.

                              But when I got the bill I was totally surprised and shocked by seeing the bill amount...it was rs. 3022 for only 3 june to 12 june period... only for 9 days... unbelievable. Then I bot mailed them and called them and lodged a complaint regarding these. They used to apologize for the unethical commitment done by their executive, however this is completely cheating on me... without informing how would you made such bills...They used to say pro rata basis bill...what the [censored] should I do with pro rata basis NOW? ..if they would have been informed about this I wouldn't have migrated to the new plan before the completion of the one month...this sucks yar... What they think about us, the airtel is for the customers and who gives them the permission to do such type o[censored]nethical practices... is that because big enterprises can do whatever they like.. I NEED CONCREATE ANSWER AND THE PEOPLE WHOEVER HAS BEEN HARASSED IN SUCHA A WAY PLEASE MAKE A COMMENT HERE... We have to fight for the judgment...

                              I took 598 plan in airtel with 3GB usage. First month i got 850Rs even though my usage and calls
                              are within the limits. Last month i downloaded a game of 1.32GB through torrent. When i checked my unbilled usage it has been mentioned that i downloaded 4GB. I got a call from airtel executive stating
                              your usage got exceeded.

                              I was trying to explain the customer centre executives ( Damn god ! poor communication guy). He jus ended stating Unbilled usage in airtel site is showing the amount you downloaded. He also states that its with yourself. You have downloaded 4GB. Asking for technical assistance he stated the download / units split view is not possible if you download via ethernet bla bla. Not able to raise a complaint also through the website

                              For a 598 plan im paying 2400. Dont go for airtel. Take a bsnl 750 plan o[censored]nlimited usage. I hope its cool.

                                  Yesterday i recharged my Airtel connection @ Rs.111.00, Because i got a message from airtel the message is recharged with Rs.111.00 and get Rs.200.00 benefit.                                       Hi,

                                      I have been an airtel postpaid customer since last couple of years.
                                      My phone no is[protected] and it is a delhi phone number.

                                      Today i.e. Oct 4th 2008, i have lost my phone in Hyderabad where i was visiting my relatives.
                                      I realised that the phone is lost/stolen at around 9pm tonight and since then i have been trying to call the number but the thief has switched it off.

                                      I contacted airtel customer care through my daughter's phone(by dialling 121) and the response i got was that you have to go to airtel outlet and register a complaint there.
                                      When i tried to reason with customer care saying that since all outlets will be closed for the night, i will be able to register a complaint only tomorrow.
                                      During this time, the thief can do a lot of mischief with my SIM card. But the customer care executive said that they cannot do anything and neither they can provide me with any other number to call.

                                      Through you I would like to address this issue with Airtel and i hold them responsible for the uncaring and ir-responsible customer service.
                                      Also, any phone calls made from my number[protected] wont be my responsibility and neither will I pay for them.
