Sir/Madam,

My initial internet plan with airtel was a 1099/month plan due to some circumstances i had to change it to the 599/month plan but i clearly informed the customer care i wish to migrate to the 599 plan but instead he put me in the 598/month plan and its a limited plan while the 599 is an unlimited plan, as a friend of mine informed me that to verify my plan request so within half an hour of my initial request i called back to confirm but the representative said that the request had been taken for 598 and cannot be cancelled, well i dont think that a request can never be cancelled, still i applied a new request for 599, after a month instead of getting a bill of 599+taxes i got a 3648 rs bill , and when i called customer care for clarification they said that i had been charged on pro rata basis for 2 day had been in the 598 plan and hence was charged 3000 rs for two days.. is that ethical when i had called back and still informed them to change it back in half an hour.... i have not paid the balance amount as i dont think i can afford to blindly pay it up. all further details will be provided by me on request specifying. i hope a consideration is taken into the matter and i will be happy to oblige any service as deemed necessary

    Here in my city very much airtel net user i am not only 1 of them, here is every person using airtel gprs, but very sad to say dat airtel gprs speed is too suck and slow our money is going in waste coz airtel is gving 2 to 4 kB/s oh no dis is very shameful 4r airtel in available of gprs EDGE service speed hv 2 much more, now i decide to write here about airtel so i request u plz chek my city airtel speed and gv any resolution thanx w8ing for service.

      Airtel-Prepaid mobile services — Airtel No Service

      Dear Sir/Madam,

      I am currently doing my MBA at XLRI, Jamshedpur.

      In June 07 I took Airtel SIM from XLRI Campus shop, submitting

      -Passport copy as identity proof

      -Letter from XLRI as Residence proof

      -Filled Airtel application form

      Also

      Filled 3000 rupees currency with one year validity.

      Within one month it was disconnected. No response from customer care.

      I visited Bistupur customer care center.They immediately corrected.

      After two months again got disconnected.This time “Registration failed error” came.

      After visiting Bistupur customer care I understood my sim has been “Disabled”

      Reason: Documents not submitted.

      No communication from your side before disconnecting.



      With my hectic schedules in XLRI I feel I am wasting my time running behing customer care.

      I am also responsible for many branding activities and my communication channel is always creating problems.



      I spoke to customer care to understand that I cannot even get my money back..



      Tell me what should I do…

      Sir,
      I wanted to unsubscribe a service i once availed and sent an sms according to the instructions. I got reply saying that i am not subscribing to the service. Then i sent couple of mails to their customer care id and and got a auto generated mail in reply ayin my requested wud be attended in 24 hrs but did not get ne response from Airtel ever since. God knows wat kind of customer service this company runs. I cant ever get through to a customer care executive.

      Airtel Prepaid Mobile Connection — Activation of Hello Tunes without request

      Airtel cheating customers

      I am using Airtel prepaid card. On April 10 2008 I received three continuous SMS from Airtel Number 543214.I just opened first SMS immediately 30 Rs deducted from my account .

      First SMS content is
      “Congratulations! You have subscribed to Background Music and Rs30 has been charged. Now talk to anyone with your favourite music in Background .Just dial 57775”

      Immediately I called customer care 121 and asked about this stupid thing, they said this service will be activated if we open the SMS. And to unsubscribe this service we have to call the same number from which the SMS sent. But it is not free call Airtel is charging 1.50 Rs per minute. I didn’t want to do it from my side .So I logged complaint. However, the money not been credited to my account nor has the Hello Tune service been de-activated.

      Friends don’t open and SMS coming from 543214 or any similar number.

      Airtel Prepaid Mobile Connection — Money deducted from the balance amount for some unwanted service without any prior information

      Airtel the telecom giant shows why the company is earning huge profits. They do the things their least bothered about their customer. Today I got a call from customer care of Airtel they informed me about some missed call package in which I was least interested, though I told them I am not interested in their package, I got message in the evening that "15 RS. have been deducted from your account for the subscription of Missed You services for the current month". When I called up their customer care center they told that the amount will not be returned back and they simply deny whatever I said trying to prove that I am lying. Airtel has been in this business of cheating people as I have heard this problem from so many people before.. Airtel the cheaters..

      AIRTEL prepaid mobile(life) — phone disconnection

      I had activated my mobile phone one month back with AIRTEL prepaid.i attached my passport zerox an all the details required, informed to me by the airtel retailer.
      after one month AIRTEL relised my documentation is less.
      they have disconnected my incoming.i cannot understend this.
      i wana file a case on AIRTEL for this harresment.

      i am gupteshwas prasad from Ranchi i am having airtel connection one year ago and in March i recharged my [protected] with life time super value vaucher 499 at that time my validity shows 2024, then it shows 2010 and right now it is showing August 2008 i called customar care, but there is no responce from Airtel side they told send SMS i send lots of SMS regarding my problem i am having this problem from 2 months i lost my lot of money because life time facility is not given me. I think Airtel customar care service is most horrible service.

      Airtel prepaid mobile — stop subscription

      Suddenly i have received one sms on my mobile
      ([protected] and [protected]) says- Thank you for subscribing the Jokes & hello tune...I had never made any request for either of two. I contacted several time airtel customer care. Everyday different person attend the call and tell that your complain has been registered. Those services will stop and account will be credited within 24 hours. But it never happend in last six months and I am paying more than 100 bucks per moth for nothing.

      Airtel - Andhra Pradesh — Mobile service deactivated automatically for a Postpaid mobile

      This is the problem my father is facing since 10- 15 days.He is using Airtel Post paid since 2 years and paying bill regularly and having clean bill payment history.His mobile number is [protected].
      But suddenly 1 week back Airtel guys without our knowledge they changed the postpaid sim to prepaid and barred all the incoming outgoing calls and messages.And at this time we are out of state and my family members need to contact my father and the airtel ivrs says the number your trying is out of service.
      So i got the mobile and checked some of the messages got from airtel and all the messages are like messages sent to prepaid mobile stating you are running out of balance please recharge your mobile. How can a postpaid mobile need to get recharged?? I shocked.
      So my father went to basheerbagh and logged the complaint with the customer care executive there.
      we waited for 2 days in a hope that problem get solved
      Then also there our mobile isnt working
      And i call to the customer care guys.These guys are like lazy and rude and not responding well to the call.Again i explained the entire problem / story to them requested the customer care executive to escalate to technical manager and requested him tfix the problem.he said the problem will be solved in 24 hours
      The problem never solved for the next 2 days also
      Again my father went to Airtel office Bhasherrbhag for 2nd time and explained entire proble and we waited for next 2 days
      NO good signs
      This time again I called the customer care and Iam shocked to hear from Customer care exce telling your number has been disconnected and the annoying thing is he says I cant help you go to Airtel office
      The pain point here is elderly persons like my father cant go around offices and they are not technically sound to dail through airtel ivrs and speak to customer care
      And the problem never solved
      Iam asking AIRTEL top MANAGER or CEO...who ever is the highest responsible person..Will you wait if I dont pay my mobile bill ??? atleast will you wait if i pay bill the next day of due date...you will not you will put a fine on my account
      Then you are responsible for providing a clean service and you cannt convert the numbers automatically to prepaid
      So for all the inconvinience you caused me dont ask me to pay bill and give a explonation for the inconvinience you caused to my father.

      And also I looged like hell number of complaints regarding the network problems at my home .. you guys never care regarding providing good signal..
      AIRTEL NETWORK IS POOR POOR POOR POOR POOR MAN...
      if you guys are really Customer oriented fix my problem ASAP and get back to me

      Airtel Prepaid Service — Deactivating services without notice

      I had brought a new Airtel connection some 20 days back and was duly activated. However, the call for local address verification came at a crunch situation, where i committed to the person calling that i will call back at the same number, however when dialled there was no response.

      However, after a couple of days without any prior notice my outgoing was barred on 15th May, incidentally I was out of town then. it took me 2 days to figure out the reason behind it, which was told as incomplete documentation. Instead of wasting any time in arguing, i promptly resubmitted a set of documents on 18th may to an Airtel office, on which i was assured that within 48 hours, outgoing will be restored. As of today i.e 21st may my outgoing is yet to be restored. Repeated calls to customer care was met with apathy and no clear response.
      Again on 21st evening i submitted m documents for the 3rd time and was assured that prompt action would be taken by two senior executives who intervened when the customer office people were rude. However to my dismay even my incoming has been stopped on 22nd evening.

      I would like immediate renewal of my services and an apology from the company

      I had taken connection of airtel mobile postpaid for numbers [protected]/ 51/ 52 and [protected] also [protected].I am feeling frustated due to service.I had activated my GPRS service a few months ago, but immediately de-activated it a few days later.Even then i am recieving GPRS bill till date and said so to ur manager from Vega Centre, Pune, Mr.Satish Matani/Mr.Manish/Mr, Prarag Sathe also knew my case very well.U are requested to disconnect these number with immediate effect.My billing cycle is from 26th to 25th.Therefore i request you to stop my service from tomorrow and send me the updated bill.

      Air Tel Pre Paid Services — Deactivate outgoing calls for no valid reason

      Air Tel Service provider offered me [protected] about four years ago on completion of documents in terms of their requirement. I have been operating this cell number for the last more than 4 years on pre paid basis. On May 25, 2009 I received a message from Air Tel that since documents are not complete the services would be deactivated if documents are not submitted on or before[protected]. on[protected] I received another message intimating that since I had not submitted my connection will be discontinued. I was required to contact Airtel on Cell number [protected]. Inspite of my best eforts I was unable to make the contact as the phone was either continuously busy or the subscriber did not attend the call. However, the services was discontinued with effect from[protected]. I came to understand that Air tel officials had misplaced my original doucments and did not find them at the time o[censored]pdating and therefore the action of disconnecting, . The action of Airtel is a criminal breach of contract of pre paid services. The high handed and arrogant attitude of the service provider cannot be brushed aside. I hope suitable action be taken against the service provider and I should be compensated for the damages.

      i had a plan of family and friends.but on july 1st i deactivated that but in july 1st evening you cut an amount of 25/- rs from my amount.i am not satified with your custmercare number.what is the exact number for andhra pradesh 121 is not working.

      Just dial *646*601# and follow the on screen menu. there will be an option "manage ur account". follow these . and u can deactivate this service from there !

      Airtel — cricket alerts not stopped

      I have airtel number in MP state. called custmer care many time to stop cricket alerts, but didn't get any favourable response. Please have a look.

      The service provider company without prior permission activates the services like caller tunes etc & balance is reduced by company two times in last 6months ,30/-Rs each time were reduced.

      Dear sir, Airtel stoped my servies even life time membership for post paid connection [protected] due to their reson that My handset IMEI number is not valid due as it is China set. What EMEI number will be valid, Airtel need to explain me.

      Sir, I India, no single compony is selling such facilities mobiles in India for a low cost, their cost for same fafilities more than three times that out dated china set.

      we always support India Government decisions at any cost as we are Indian, but things need be avialable in India comparetively cheaper that other brands.

      Sir, Question arieses, When such china set were selling in India, than related aothority could not taken any action against those seller. In my views, sinle rupee has an important value for poor Indias but due to this laps a lot of indian currency has lost for noting (in china set).

      My service provider agent is giving me another IMEI number with an identification certificate, will it work?

      I have been using sim card o[censored]r company for a long time i.e [protected] but for the last 6 months i stopped using it as i was out of station and when i inserted the sim yesterday i.e on 8.04.2010 the sim was not active and when i called to the said number([protected]) some another person recieved the call . I want to know as how is it possible when i have the said number but other person also has the same number please let me know.
      I have writing this because i have the apprehension of misuse of my number by other person and if not then please do write me ur policies for not using the sim for a long time and tell me weather it is lawful to transfer my mob number by ur company to any other person for not using it by me for a long time.

      Kindly send an sms to 121 with the text as STOP. You will receive options to deactivate the services in your mobile. Select the required option and reply again. The service will be de activated. I did the same thing to de activate the unwanted services.

      airtel mobile prepaid connection — Unwanted service getting activated with my notice

      I am using Aitel prepaid Mobile service. on 2nd June, I received a SMS from Airtel Live that a service named Love 5 have been activated on my account and I have been charged Rs. 5 for that. This has been done without my notice. I have not activated any such service. I was receiving Love SMS from 53030 continuously. On 7th June, without my notice, again Rs 5 was deducted from my account and the same Love 5 service was renewed on my account. I am clueless why this happened. I complained to customer care, they argued with me that I have activated the service from the internet site volubill.com.
      I heard name of this site today for the first time. I am unaware how the activation of such service happened. Please take a quick & bold action on this.

      If this sort of behaviour continues, I would change my service provider.

      Airtel — Deactivation of services for 2 days, without any prior communication

      Due to new rule from government, Airtel is performing address verification of all it's customers. In this process, they blocked my outgoing calls on 22/10/2010 at 8:00 AM. When I tried to make any call, it was diverted to customer care and they asked me for for my details. After verifying all the details available with them, they said verification is complete and outgoing will be activated in 4 hours.

      I called them up almost 10 times in last 2 days. I always received the same response, It will be activated in 4 hours. It is now almost 33 hrs without any service and still I cannot make any calls.

      I've been using this service from past 6 years and this is how they respond.

      Even now, they are not sure when they can activate my outgoing services.

      Is there any way where I can escalate this issue, for the loss I had.

      I have Airtel prepaid subscription.I have been observed that periodically my balance has been deduced from my account without any notice or with my concern permit. For this deduction I got SMS from your company that " Dear customer you have subscribe ---- of service and for that we are charging you Rs.--- ". But the fact is I have not subscribe any services, So I would like to ask you a question that, Why are you deducting money from our prepaid balance? This is actually a misconduct of business between the company and customer.MY NO IS [protected] deactivate the same a number was mentioned such as[protected] i.e.[protected] was the message WAS FROM 543211
      I would like to ask you why your company deducting the money from our account without our notice. When we enquired on the customer care number, they are not given proper answer to our query. For a time being they are depositing our deduced amount back to our account and ensure us that this thing will not happen again and we have unsubscribed you from this service but after about a week or 15 day same consequences are happening.
      I again inquired about the same mischief, same conversations are happening and after that I got my money back.       Hi,

      I had a prepaid mobile SIM, and was using it for last few years. recently my SIM got deactivated, in spite of that it had a life time validity card. I was surprised and shocked why it happened without any notification.

      I contacted customer care, they said that due to non usage of more than 90 days it was deactivated, and is now been given to somebody else and cant be reactivated.

      My concern is that first it got deactivated without any notification and secondly it was reassigned to somebody else in just a span of less than 2 months.

      I am really shocked and dissatisfied with the reply, they are asking me to buy a new SIM. thats pathetic.

      i wrote to nodal officer, but got the same reply as it is.As if nodal officer and the customer care guy are same.

      I dont know how it is done at Airtel, but i am truly dissatisfied with the resolution.

      I hope customer like me are not cheated.
      Same thing happened to me.
      Same problem..they are literally *looting* 5 Rs. per day from thousands or lakhs (hopefully not crores ) of customers everyday without their consent. This is unacceptable. We send 'STOP' to 121. We get a reply from 1210 saying reply with the serial number of the service to stop.

      They slyly make the message confusing :

      1.Cricket updates listed as a '2nd' option and there is a number '543212' beside it. Not sure which one to send(and forgive me for not maintaining a database of airtel utility services which I later discovered that it was a hello tunes number..I have much more important things to worry about in my life) ..and by that time ..they are probably billing us for messages to 121 or any godforsaken airtel service number.

      2. Reply to 1210 or 121 or 543212 or ??? etc..( maybe 911 or 100 should work from next time )
      By the way, MANY phones (including sonyericsson models) cannot send sms to 1210 ...(Does airtel know about this..infact, they should.. because they are a mobile network and should have some knowledge about devices using them...so is this is an intended scam?? god knows. ) If i send an SMS
      as 'STOP 2' to 121 ..i get their favorite reply: "Unable to process request" ...but magically you can "process " 5 Rs. a day from all o[censored]s very efficiently without letting us know or do anything about it !!! great job!!

      3. Now they even started a 'job service sms' to my phone ..(why airtel why? I never subscribed to anything..stop bugging ( read harassing) me with all your updates ...nobody cares! ...why are you pushing me and thousands of others to sue you?)

      4. Their email service is horrible. The only reply they know is " We cannot process your request" ..(was your site written by third-rate programmers who cannot recognize the phone number even if it is the only word in the subject???? or are your "higher level engineers" third-rate programmers who know *NOTHING* about giving proper instructions in the email???? ..are they even programmers ?? god knows.)

      For the sake of other readers, Here is your "prompt" email..atleast thats a flimsy reason stopping me from ranting about the speed of your service although I cannot say anything positive about the quality of your service.

      What is the exact format? DId you clearly specify what is the format? Is it just the number or some string with "number:98xxx.." form ? Is it not enough if the subject of the email is a single string, with no spaces, containing only numeric characters corresponding to my mobile number???

      This is the situation for educated citizens in developed cities. God knows what diabolical plans they have in their development teams to exploit people in rural or under developed areas (particularly in andhra pradesh) where most of them don't even know how to send sms and prepaid is their preferred choice of payment .

      Learn to provide better service, airtel...(or rename yourself to 'con'-tel ) ..you have serious usability issues ( usability disasters is an apt substitute) to fix..( start from giving other "working" non automated email addresses to your firm ..in replies from [protected]@airtel.in )

      Honestly, I cannot wait for that number transfer option to other networks like idea..I Will most definitely lose my airtel connection like a disease.

      SInce last 4/5 days a service called talk2me started in my moble no. [protected] without my any attempt. Also deducetd Rs. 15 from my account.       Since i am unable to communicate to your customer care i am writing to you. I have following complaints on my mobile No ([protected]). Hope you will respond at the earliest.

      1. I have applied for portability on last Friday. Your executive contacted me and informed that i have a plan for 30 paise per minute. i approved that plan , they have replied that this plan will be activated with in 48 hours. still the plan is not yet activated.

They said that will file an complaint on that and your customer care will contact me with in 1.00 Pm on Monday. But no one is contacted me and also my problem is not yet resolved.         Sir,

        Few days before i have submit my complaint against Airtel Bharti Communication. My name is Deepak Singh and my number is +91-[protected]. My complaint is that Airtel Bharti has detect my balance of amount 24/- at 23 feb 2010. I have try to contact many time of customer care executive, but every time i contact with them , they always give me wrong information. I have every recording of their executive. 2 days before their senior executive tell me to refund my balance in 6 hour but still i did not get any balance. Every time i try to contact with them, they never give me coplete information and cut call without give me complete information. on 24/02/2010 at 4:44 pm i got a call from Airtel customer care(+91-[protected]),they say me that they will take action soon but still no one take action.
        I request to guide me that how can i be able for get my balance. because by giving their wrong information, i have also take a lose on 25th jan.,2010 of 3 days. so can i also go to consumer court for my 3 days time.i also have the recording of their customer care executive.

          Hello Sunil,

          I thought there could be a possibility of some action on receiving the mail from me. Thought there has been surplus of 1750/- Rs, still I made another payment of 2000 Rs to activate the services immediately. Rather I see the phone number is permanently disconnected. When I dial the number[protected], getting a message, the number does not exists…

          It’s a serious concern; if this is not resolved immediately, I have no other option but to seek legal advice on this issue. As head of the organization, I am sure, you would sensitize the person responsible to resolve this.

          This mail to you is the outcome of the frustration, I had with your helpdesk folks (toll free number – [protected]). Even after spending more than 40 mins personally with the helpdesk folks, the concern remains the same. Refer to mail trail below for more detail, The helpdesk folks have assured me thrice via interaction/complaint number[protected] yesterday around 7.00 PM,[protected] today morning 8.30 am,[protected] around 6.30 today evening) that concern has been logged and with in 4 hrs the connection will be restored; just now spoken to another chap at helpdesk, he told that it will be done on 27th Feb after 3.00 pm.

          My concerns are:

          a) Why a false reference number is given without logging a call?
          b) Why the false time commitment is done?
          c) The most important is that when you had advance money paid, how can the connection be disconnected.

          I am sure, shd you or your office is in receipt of this mail, will instruct the people concerned to ensure the immediate restoration of services along with setting up the tight process for call logging, monitoring and tracking till closure.

          This is to bring to your notice that Telephone[protected] and Internet service at my residence – “309 Milano Mahagun Mansion, Phase 2, Indirapuram GZB” has been debarred since last 2 days on the account of non-payment of telephone bill whereas my Airtel account already has surplus credit of Rs 1750.

          I had paid Rs 1750 as installation charges for IP TV, but because of non feasibility of the same, it was not installed and it was told that the money paid will be adjusted against the subsequent bills, the same did not happen and as a result phone/Internet is dead for last 2 days.

          This needs immediate attention and correction. If this is not corrected in next 2 hrs, an escalation will be sent to senior officials with a complaint in consumer forum.

            I Have been a customer of Airtel for almost 3 years regularly paying my bills!
            My connection was for unlimited Broadband connection with the landline Number [protected]
            Trouble started when I had to shift my residence, I couldnt take the connection to my new residence as there was no Airtel coverage in the area. Hence I asked my brother who lives in Green View apartments, New town Yelahanka to take the connection for my niece.
            The shift of the telephone took 2 months as I was decidin on the location it was to be transferred and I had specifcally told the call centre to see that I was not billed in the interim period. The operator assured me that the Plan on my line would be enhanced in such a manner that I wouldnt receive any billin during the transition period and they were true to their words!!
            But once the connection was installed in my brothers residence, when he received the bill, it showed a limited billing system and has been charged Rs 1500/- instead of Rs 710/- which was the charge for my unlimited broadband connection. I immediately called up the call centre and they said it would be rectified. But to my dismay I found the the billing for the next month showed more than Rs3000/-!!
            I kept talking to the call centre people with no relief and I left the matters unresolved as it was like talkin to a wall.
            Subsequently Airtel called me to Lok Adalat and I explained the situation to the lawyer there and she said that someone from airtel would call me soon and the matter would be resolved. B
            I did receive phone calls from the company and they apologized and told me that the matter would be looked into and my revised bill for around Rs1500/- for two months would be sent.
            But I was horrified to receive a call from a gentleman who claimed to be from high court delhi saying that I had to pay Rs10000/- to Airtel!
            I have no idea how this has come about.
            I recieved no summons no court notices except the lok adalat one and which I attended.
            How can Airtel treat me like this after I've been a good customer for three years and without checking out the details put me through so much of mental agony. I'm ready to pay for my unlimited connection billing of Rs1500/- for two months once the recified bill has been sent to my residnce. The address and phone details are in Airtel records and are correct.
            I pray for relief from the agony caused by this company.

            Airtel — DRAGGED TO COURT FOR NO REASON.

            As you can understand, I am in a totally hopeless situation.I have closed my corporate connection with AIRTEL in June 2007 after clearing my outstanding amount. I got a confirmation email from the so called corporate collector that my account will be closed.Today after 10 months, I am getting a notice from Lok adalat on behalf of airtel to pay Rs 711/-. Only God can answer, from where did they get this 711/-. I am a working woman and in my busy schedule I have to be present in that adalat on the specified date and time else it goes without saying that the case would be filed in the court.

            I feel pity on this country and its people who have such a ridiculous judiciary system.
            Need to ask, how many times AIRTEL has been dragged into court.
            I will do my best to see to it that this message spreads across the country and AIRTEL losses its business by which it will come to the roads.
            May God bless me in fulfilling this dream.

              Hi,

              I am a customer of Airtel for the past few years. I am absolutely enjoying its signal quality and most of its value-added services apart from one thing. It’s the all-time traditional callertune. Look out for my review below:-

              Recently the callertune madness is creating psychic circles throughout the callers. Once we activate the callertune, all we get is this 5 second message. Only after that the callertune starts playing. Fun factor is that the mobile rings immediately (The automated voice have started playing already). I actually thought that it is just another lame ad which doesn’t let the mobile ring till you ear the callertune. My Bad!!!!

              We activate callertune for the caller to hear a Soundtrack/Song/BGM but this is the 5 second message we get. Press * and 9 to copy this song. Charges 15 rupees per hellotune and monthly charges 30 rupees only.

              We have a default 15-20 seconds pulse till the call gets cut, but the voice message eats 5 seconds of our time. Now this makes me say 'WHAT THE HELL?'

              Another point to note,
              This isn't an occasional happening. The voice message will be delivered to your ear buds every time you call. I guess AIRTEL is operating on six sigma quality. They don't miss a single chance to advertise their callertune. Quite frankly, they eat the customer's money to increase the caller tune’s property value without paying a penny to the customer. I am left wide open asking pitifully ‘Where did my money go?’ This is more like investing on a useless share/stock.

              The callers/International customers get irritated because of the voice message. Sometimes people think they're getting a mobile switched off message. The callertune voice message is quite similar to the ‘mobile switched off’ tune.

              Well,
              Now I hope this review might create another (bigger) circle to cover the nasty circle formed by Airtel.

              recently i changed my caller tune and the quality of this caller tune is pathetic it isn't even properly audible to the callers

                Sir,
                I purchased a Virtual Calling Card (prepaid for 225) paying Rs.225/-.I was informed that calls to Australia made through this account would be charged at Rs. 3.75 paise per minute. Believing that, I made few calls to Australia. To my surprise, I was charged at the rate of Rs.9+ per call per minute. As a result, even before making 10 calls or so, the entire prepaid amount was drained.

                I lodged complaints with Airtel Customer Care - both through mobile and net as detailed below:

                      Dear sir /madam

                      I want to draw your attention towards the concern which I have against the phone bill of Airtel No[protected] account no 11662189.
                      The connection was installed at 8012 D-8 Vasant Kunj New Delhi -110070,since I shifted from that place I had given request for the transfer of the connection to the new address on[protected]
                      At first I was told that it would be done in 7 working days.
                      After 10-12 days I got a call from your end stating that there was no connection available at the address therefore would have to wait for a few more days as there was probability of getting the connection there. They also confirmed that there wouldn’t be any rental charges till the time the connection is not installed or termianated.to which I agreed but the connection was never installed
                      Finally the connection was terminated on 7th Dec 2009 only after only my regular follow up with the customer care and there is a bill pending on my account for the rental for September October and November 2009
                      Now
                      Even after so much of follow up this bill amount is not being waived off even after several assurances from the customer care
                      Secondly there is no follow up from their (airtel) end and when I call back to know the status of the query all I get to hear is that we tried to contact but I did not take the call which is never the case and in such scenarios why have never send the mail or sms to contact mewhich i have been asking them to do since begining
                      my concern is why am i made to pay when i am not liable and the delay has just been because of their incompetence.
                      i have been following up with the customer care via phone for almost 6 months now and all i get is new reference no
                      .

                        Hi,

                        on the date of 25th of January my bill was generated. I wanted to close the airtel connection.
                        on 30th of January, I went to airtel gallery and payed my entire due amount and placed a request for closing the connection. They took an alternative number and said we will place your request.

                        I Got a call from their side. As i wanted to close the connection, since it was of no use to me, i objected for any sort of deal. But they kept on presenting deal one after the other. Finally they gave me this deal.

                        My number will be transferred from postpaid to prepaid lifetime incoming number. I agreed upon that.

                        But the change was not done.

                        Also I got a mail today saying my bill has been generated for the month of february.
                        I dont understand even after placing the closure request, how can my bill be generated.

                        I am charged 174/- in the months bill as per the rental.

                          My number is [protected]. On 14th January, I had made an online payment through credit card for the amount of Rs.705. However, this transaction is shown to have been conducted twice in the credit card statement and in my online account with airtel. Therefore, the total payment made by me on 14th Jan is of Rs. 1410. I was told by my the local airtel office to log on to www.airtelindia.com but this website does not exist; www.airtelindia.in is under construction; Further, dialing 121 is no use as there is no option in the computerized message played to speak to the customer care representative. Therefore, I am lodging a complaint here and I request you to please deduct Rs. 705 from my payment due for the month of February.

                            AIRTEL IS A BULL COMPANY AND THEY ARE NOT BOTHERED ABOUT THE CUSTOMER SATISFACTION.

                            AIRTEL PLAYS WITH THE CUSTOMERS AND THEY DO NOT HAVE ANY ETHICS.

                            BLOODY IDIOTIC COMPANY IN INDIA. THEY CLAIM THAT THEY ARE NUMBER ONE, BUT THEY ARE NUMBER ONE CHEATING FRAUD COMPANY. BE CAREFUL WITH AIRTEL, IF YOU ARE THE NEW CUSTOMER.

                              I took a connection with a one year rental (rent rs 699 of one year) plan with airtel.
                              Everytime I had payed all the bills on time. When one year was about to complete, I asked Airtel customer care to dsconnect the service as I wanted to take other subscriber with lower call rates. But instead of disconnecting, Airtel changed my plan to Rs 300 rent per month with same high call rates.
                              Because of this I again called customer care and told that I will not pay the bill if the rental was not deducted and disconnect the connection but they did not disconnect it for next three months.

                              Now, I am getting abuse calls from a person called Deepak with number [protected]. Who uses false language and tells me that if I will not pay the bill then "wo mere poore khaandaan ko court main khasitega" etc.
                              I am still ready to pay the bill for call chrges but not the rental and late fee.

                                I stay in a town called surathkal in Mangalore . I have applied for Airtel Broadband connection and they tell me that my house is out of reach of your services. Sad thing is that my home is about 100 mts from surathkal where Airtel is available. My house is in a residential area with about 50 to 60 houses and it bothers me that I can’t get your services in such a residential area. So rest a shore I will not stop calling u people until u get me the service or give me a better reason then one u have given about my house is few meters two far.

                                  I m a prepaid subscriber of airtel from mumbai region.I just wanted to complain that i am getting very less signal reception at my place even i stay at 6th floor and at 5th floor i am out of coverage area.So i am missing many important calls because of this .Other service providers like idea,vodafone,aircel,loop,tata are providing full network at my place and even on ground floor,so whats wrong with Airtel ? I am requesting airtel to build a cell phone tower near to our place as soon as possible,otherwise Airtel would be loosing 20 prepaid subscribers from my society.And also GPRS speed is wrost in mumbai region.I am providing my address and contact details below..Dont try to contact on given cell number because i have kept it switched off.

                                    I had a complaint about wrongful Charges, my mobile no. [protected], and on that matter I had contacted to customer care about the matter, with ,Supervisor named Ms. Kinjal Mistry, she had misbehaved with me like anything.
                                    She had deny to transfer my call to Manager, and on or above that she had told me that "i would not transfer your call to manager and even you will not get any refund, what you are asking for.
                                    I am highly unsatisfied with answer giver by her.I want a written appology from Ms. Mistry.

                                    I called 121 for some doubts about the lowest call charges to clear, as yest too I had called them, but I came to know from one of my friend there are other offers too. when i called i.e., 24/11/2008 reg some prepaid plan, the way the customer care executive spoke was why are you calling again and again, is this they way they behave, if we call to clear abou the doubts when i asked his name he told that Nagaraj from airtel bangalore...we being customers before recharging we need to confirm, u need to provide details properly as many times possible that is called customer care not to speak in arrogan manner...Regards, Nawaz, Bangalore [protected]

                                    AirTel — Misbehaviour of customer care executive

                                    Dear Sir/Madam,

                                    My Name is Sankar Kumar Das, owner of Airtel connection (Mob No: +91 [protected]) and a regular user of Mobile Office facility with airtel, similarly on 23rd August’09 I tried to activate the same however the service was not activated when contacting Airtel I was informed that this service was withdrawn and I have to recharge with INR 89/- to avail this service. As per their instructions I did the same however the same was not activated hence I have registered a complaint with customer care. Complaint No: 4905 and was told the same will be activated in 24 hrs which didn’t happen, then I called CC again and spoke to the Floor supervisor and again he registered a complaint (Complaint no: [protected]) however the service was not activated and I receive a call from Airtel (Calling No: +91 [protected]) Mr. Jayanth and he was rude and so un professional and claims that there was no recharge done on my number and I am being dishonest which hurt my self respect and he also claims to be the boss of the company and has no reporting manager also he clearly stated that i can in to consumer court and register a complaint when asked. Please help me getting justice as a consumer.

                                    so what I ve decided from my end is, fine however my demo is blocked by executive and distributor purposefully, so you also cancel the connection and refund the amt of Rs 4139/- balance of V Top remaining.
                                    so that I will end all the relations with Hithen Associates and if Idea People are interested in retaining me as Idea retailer, can issue a new demo, but NOT OF HITHEN ASSOCIATES as they provide very poor and pathetic service.

                                    i am going the customer care employee to solve the my sim problem .they could not behave properly and could not solve problem as well as they can not lesion my problem

                                    Airtel — Poor Customer Care & Misbehaviour

                                    I have lost my datacard & I went to get a duplicate sim of the same no. ([protected]) but they didn't have any duplicate sim to issue & said that it MIGHT arrive by 7th or later. As i have lost the SIM I decided to get it deactivated so that no misuse is there on this account. I was carrying all prrof required for geeting it deactivated or replaced but they refused to help me. They asked me to call the customer care & get it deactivated. I had to call Airtel's customer care atleast THREE times to get their line. When I got to talk to her Ms. Jyoti Kanodia asked for some irrelevant information like "when did I get it last recharged & what amount?" I was shocked because mostly people won't remember such details as nobody expects that they would lose their phone or meet a theft. I was not able to recall such data & she said because the data provided is not correct my no. couldn't be deactivated. If there is any misuse in this case who is responsible for such a case. I had asked her to transfer the call to their higher ups but she refused on account that there is no one in office & nobody responded on the nodal officer's no.
                                    I just asked the Relationship Centre to help me out because such issues are very serious but they put a deaf ear to me. So I asked when I am providing all details & my pan card & DL in original & photocopy they refused to deactivate the sim & Mr. Akshay gupta who is an employee started to misbehave saying that I don't know how to behave & started shouting. Everybody in the relationship Centre including a lady & the cashier started arguing over a petty thing that they will behave like this & it is not their duty to behave properly. They refused to give the Relationship Centre's Supervisor's no. on account that he is a very important person & can't talk for such petty things.
                                    Not only this they were misbehaving with each & every customer coming to their Centre & arguing & saying we can't do this we can't talk to customer care & things like that.
                                    I have no clue why such stupid things are required by a company like AIRTEL to deactivate a SIM, when all documents relevant to my identification are being provided to them.

                                    On 5th june,2011 at 12:13 noon i`ve got msg from airtel,that airtel has deducted Rs 10/- for downloading Hungama Content Game,though i`ve not selected any of such stupid thing..so to resolve my problem i made a call to customer care..There was Mr.rajjak who did spoke with me properly.he didn`t even answered my question.thn i requested that i want to spoke with his senior and then Mr.Rajjak hang up the call,without transferring it to his senior..then i called again this time there was Miss Bhumika..she solved my 1 problem sayin i`l get the refund of wrong debitmade by airtel.then i asked her that i want to make a complaint against one of customer care executive but she did the same thing,even she didn`t allowed me to talk to their senior..i haven`t got any complaint id for my complaint.

                                      Hi,

                                      I recharged my prepaid number [protected] with Rs.200. I was not informed that the recharge will expire in 30 days. No extra/lower call rates were provided. The amount is credited to a "dedicated account" by Airtel without the customer's permission.

                                      I do not receive a automatic message of balance left after every call and I have to dial *123*4# to get my balance.

                                      Even the Airtel call center people did not inform me about the scheme where Airtel forfeits the amount after 30 days. I lost close to Rs. 150 because of this as I did not utilize the balance.

                                      I want to lodge a complaint on unreasonable forfeiture of customer balance by Airtel. Also the sales is being done without informing the customers.
