cricket and matrimony updates are automatically updated on my airtel prepaid mobile no. deactivate them plz as its not proccessing frm the cel phone. my no. is [protected].

Airtel Prepaid Complaints - Without assigning stoppage of Service
I, am user of Airtel prepaid connection, [protected] since last 3 years. At the time of taking connection I have submitted Photocopy of identity card in the name of Anil Kumar, Address 335/2, Bagh Kade Khan, Kishan Ganj, Delhi-110052. Now without assigning any reason my connection has been stopped outgoing calls, I am residing at my own residence since last 15 years, geeting all the documents through post, why this happened. Please look into this matter urgently

Airtel — Deactivation of services for 2 days, without any prior communication

Due to new rule from government, Airtel is performing address verification of all it's customers. In this process, they blocked my outgoing calls on 22/10/2010 at 8:00 AM. When I tried to make any call, it was diverted to customer care and they asked me for for my details. After verifying all the details available with them, they said verification is complete and outgoing will be activated in 4 hours.

I called them up almost 10 times in last 2 days. I always received the same response, It will be activated in 4 hours. It is now almost 33 hrs without any service and still I cannot make any calls.

I've been using this service from past 6 years and this is how they respond.

Even now, they are not sure when they can activate my outgoing services.

Is there any way where I can escalate this issue, for the loss I had.
can i get my no. full month call history and call recording if y then tell me the procedure about that... Plz tell me sir

I have Airtel prepaid subscription.I have been observed that periodically my balance has been deduced from my account without any notice or with my concern permit. For this deduction I got SMS from your company that " Dear customer you have subscribe ---- of service and for that we are charging you Rs.--- ". But the fact is I have not subscribe any services, So I would like to ask you a question that, Why are you deducting money from our prepaid balance? This is actually a misconduct of business between the company and customer.MY NO IS [protected] deactivate the same a number was mentioned such as[protected] i.e.[protected] was the message WAS FROM 543211
I would like to ask you why your company deducting the money from our account without our notice. When we enquired on the customer care number, they are not given proper answer to our query. For a time being they are depositing our deduced amount back to our account and ensure us that this thing will not happen again and we have unsubscribed you from this service but after about a week or 15 day same consequences are happening.
I again inquired about the same mischief, same conversations are happening and after that I got my money back. But if supposed I am not so vigilant each time then your company will steal our money with our notice and consent.Many a time it may have had happened that you have deducted money from my balance and I haven't notice that or have not checked my balance.How could I trace that and take my money back. Please stop this stealing.

Airtel Prepaid — Deactivation of SIM without prior notice

Hi,

I had a prepaid mobile SIM, and was using it for last few years. recently my SIM got deactivated, in spite of that it had a life time validity card. I was surprised and shocked why it happened without any notification.

I contacted customer care, they said that due to non usage of more than 90 days it was deactivated, and is now been given to somebody else and cant be reactivated.

My concern is that first it got deactivated without any notification and secondly it was reassigned to somebody else in just a span of less than 2 months.

I am really shocked and dissatisfied with the reply, they are asking me to buy a new SIM. thats pathetic.

i wrote to nodal officer, but got the same reply as it is.As if nodal officer and the customer care guy are same.

I dont know how it is done at Airtel, but i am truly dissatisfied with the resolution.

I hope customer like me are not cheated.
Same thing happened to me.
Same problem..they are literally *looting* 5 Rs. per day from thousands or lakhs (hopefully not crores ) of customers everyday without their consent. This is unacceptable. We send 'STOP' to 121. We get a reply from 1210 saying reply with the serial number of the service to stop.

They slyly make the message confusing :

1.Cricket updates listed as a '2nd' option and there is a number '543212' beside it. Not sure which one to send(and forgive me for not maintaining a database of airtel utility services which I later discovered that it was a hello tunes number..I have much more important things to worry about in my life) ..and by that time ..they are probably billing us for messages to 121 or any godforsaken airtel service number.

2. Reply to 1210 or 121 or 543212 or ??? etc..( maybe 911 or 100 should work from next time )
By the way, MANY phones (including sonyericsson models) cannot send sms to 1210 ...(Does airtel know about this..infact, they should.. because they are a mobile network and should have some knowledge about devices using them...so is this is an intended scam?? god knows. ) If i send an SMS
as 'STOP 2' to 121 ..i get their favorite reply: "Unable to process request" ...but magically you can "process " 5 Rs. a day from all o[censored]s very efficiently without letting us know or do anything about it !!! great job!!

3. Now they even started a 'job service sms' to my phone ..(why airtel why? I never subscribed to anything..stop bugging ( read harassing) me with all your updates ...nobody cares! ...why are you pushing me and thousands of others to sue you?)

4. Their email service is horrible. The only reply they know is " We cannot process your request" ..(was your site written by third-rate programmers who cannot recognize the phone number even if it is the only word in the subject???? or are your "higher level engineers" third-rate programmers who know *NOTHING* about giving proper instructions in the email???? ..are they even programmers ?? god knows.)

For the sake of other readers, Here is your "prompt" email..atleast thats a flimsy reason stopping me from ranting about the speed of your service although I cannot say anything positive about the quality of your service.

We are unable to process your request as:
1. Airtel mobile number is not mentioned in your email or
2. Airtel mobile number is not mentioned in the correct format
We request you to resend the mail again with the Airtel Mobile Number mentioned in the Subject as per the following format:
98XXXXXXXX or 99XXXXXXXX

What is the exact format? DId you clearly specify what is the format? Is it just the number or some string with "number:98xxx.." form ? Is it not enough if the subject of the email is a single string, with no spaces, containing only numeric characters corresponding to my mobile number???

This is the situation for educated citizens in developed cities. God knows what diabolical plans they have in their development teams to exploit people in rural or under developed areas (particularly in andhra pradesh) where most of them don't even know how to send sms and prepaid is their preferred choice of payment .

Learn to provide better service, airtel...(or rename yourself to 'con'-tel ) ..you have serious usability issues ( usability disasters is an apt substitute) to fix..( start from giving other "working" non automated email addresses to your firm ..in replies from [protected]@airtel.in )

Honestly, I cannot wait for that number transfer option to other networks like idea..I Will most definitely lose my airtel connection like a disease.

"My attitude towards complaint" : ("Agree", "Neutral", " Disagree" ???) .. "Agree" would be a gross understatement...be prepared to hear from my lawyers soon at the consumer forum if this is not solved or replied to as soon as possible.

And I WILL NOT give you my email or phone number in public ( I hope you understand asking for a person's email id or contact details to be published in public is a violation of their privacy and security) ...

Answer my questions here. Why can't you Build an online interface for stopping services??? Afraid your scam will not work anymore? Even if you have such an online service, its poorly publicised I could not find it anywhere...(I don't want to ask if it is done intentionally.. i already think I and everyone others know the answer)

I am using Airtel Prepaid and airtel has been renewing its matrimony offer on my mobile without me registering for it! 5Rs is charged for 5 days and my balance keeps going down . Matrimonials on Mobile service message sent by number [protected]

Airtel Prepaid — From my no.9840024529,they are taking Rs.5/ daily for CRI without my request.

I used this for around 8 years but now I have given some complaints which they charged some service throught the night when I was sleeping it goes aroun 1000 for a month. They did not reverse it and I am forced discountine the number.

In prepaid also I am getting some SMS that your hellow tune/MCA charges which I never optted or aware of it.Airtel is cheating public, induviduals, 2G scam is best expale.

Now I am planning to shift to BSNL

Airtel is activating cricket updates without asking the user and then charging the consumer on top of this.

Even in my father phone they activated the cricket updates without any prior notice.My father is not at all interest in cricket.
My father won;t use message for any purpose, they use mobile only for talk. i don;t know how these people are maintaining database and how their team is working..
After reading this i sent a STOP option for cricket updates, let c if it resolves or not.
