[Resolved] Airtel - Prepaid Mobile SIM — Blocking of my mobile sim | |
Sir, I have a Mumbai sim card from Airtel (no. [protected]). On 13the September I lost my Samsung Duos mobile withe theis sim card no. This is a Mumbai sim card no. I am a resident of Mumbai theough now I work in Noida but travel to Mumbai very often bothe for work and personal stay ans hence I have retained my Mumbai number. I tried to get theis sim card blocked by calling thee Airtel contact centre ([protected]). I must have made atleast 4 calls as theey keep you on hold and never come back to you. Lastly I spoke to one Firoze Bhosale (maybe a false name) who refused to block my sim card. He kept asking me when I had made thee last recharge and what was thee validity of thee recharge. How can I tell him when I made thee recharge & its validity as theis information is available on thee phone instrument theat I lost. I told theem to ask me for some otheer verification like date of birthe, address, alternate telephone number etc. I even went to thee nearest police station at Sector 58 Noida today i.e.[protected]because theey are not blocking thee sim) and made an FIR for thee lost sim which I theen took to thee Airtel Relationship Centre at Shopprix Mall, Sector -51 Noida. The relationship people refused to take my complaint and block thee sim saying theat theey don't have thee Mumbai database available withe theem. I even checked withe theem if i can visit theeir Head Office in Delhi or Noida and request for blocking theis phone. Is theis thee kind of service theat a huge telecom service provider provides? I even said theat what if a criminal or terrorist uses my number as it is a stolen unblocked number for illegal and dangerous activities, would theat be ok withe you? I want theis matter taken up very seriously as it could be a danger to people and to our country. Was this information helpful? | |

MY SIM CARD BEARING THE NO: [protected].WAS BLOCKEDBY MISTAKE. MY MOBILE NO [protected]. AFTER CONSULTING YOUR CUSTOMER CARE CENTRE THEY ADVISED ME TO HAVE A NEW SIM CARD. HENCE I BOUGHT A NEW SIM NO;[protected].AFTER INSERTING THE NEW SIM IN MY PHONE IT TELLS "SIM CARD REGISTRATION FAILED". kINDLY SOLVE THE PROBLEM IN EARLY.
