http://airteltv.co:8080. i have not even tried to download, thereafter i am receiving messages that "you have been renewed for full track subscription service from Airtel.You have been charged Rs 5.live cricket on mobile tv." I have not subscribed for this service and i do not want to subscribe to it,yet I have already lost more than Rs 100 for this unwanted service.

I AM WORKING IN CRUISE LINE, LAST TWO MONTHS I CANT USE MY NUMBER NOW ITS SHOWING UNREGISTERED SIM .I ALWAYS CARRYING THIS SIM WITH ME WHERE EVER I GO THERE IS ANY PROBLEM HAPPENED BEFORE .

I CANT MISS MY NUMBER BECOZ . I AM USING THAT SAME LAST FEW YEARS IF THERE IS ANY CHANCE THAT I WILL GET RE ACTIVATE THE SAME NUMBER UNDER MY NAME AGAIN .

I HOPE U CAN HELP ME FOR THIS .

    Today ,20th Apr 2011, thursday at 1:26 pm, i receieved a call from [protected]. It came to my knowledge that call is from pakistan. Although i missed the call, but i am concerned about how did the calling person got my number. I would appreciate it if you would look into this matter.

      this is to inform u that on o[censored]r executive misbehaved on phone n revoked my outgoing faclity even after paying my outstanding amout n cotinous request for starting up my outgoing call for the same by me n my wife there is no action being taken... this attitude is not excpected of such a reputed conecern like airtel
      if my facility is not soon started i will have to talk to some higher n nore reponsible authority conerned since your staff at ground level n not giving satisfactory reply plz look in to the matter as soon as possible

      my mobile number is there with ur executives
      which [protected] on which sms r been sent that compaint is lodged n we`ll be resolved but your executive online talking to us are not giving any satisfactory replies
      they blame dis mishap on the server or d mumbai team which is not appropriate ...one of your executive has talhed in an un agreeable manner when i compalined abt the net service being poor again again
      that same person intantely revocaved my outgoing faclity which is creating a big problem for me n my family...this attitude is not expected out of such a reputed concern like airtel which is serving men my family members since years these kind of employee r earning bad reputation for ur concern sir ...i am so gr8ful for ur quick reply although still the faclity is not working on my phone
      i hope dis thing cud be resolved by 25 april which is d last date given by ur concern otherwise i`ll have to get back to senior authorites conerned for the same

      thanx sir for resloving my complaint but could also guide me for what shud i pay d bill for rs 737 since my phone was not used ie outgoing was not working since 2nd april till 17th may till 5.00 pm isit eight from company`s point to charge bill when u r not providing d faclity for approx 1.5 months also an earlier billed was paid by me on a/c of promise that service wud start but it was not started untill 17th may 2011

          Few Days back(on 14 April 2011), Sales Executive from Airtel Company Came to home and explained about Airtel Apne Plan. As i was interested in it, i took that plan. He offered two sim cards and told me that it will be activated within two days. He also gave his number for futher contact but later i tried on that number but it was either swithed off or not in Service. Now that number is with Customer care, and they are saying that my documents are not Sumbitted. Also they are not giving me number of that Sales Executive.

          So please help me.

          currently i am using vodaphone card..but shifted to airtel when one of company sales executive came to my door step and explain about airtel apne very attractive plan..his name was ganesh pawar.10 days back..and he said it will get activated in 3 days..i still not have any cal from company..and card is not activated till this period..how can i trust airtel anymore...

          Airtel executives providing wrong information for sales of card (or for incentives).

          its affecting only to customer.

          do not buy card only with oral information given by executive. better buy from galary.

            stop MONO sms service

            Hi,

            requesting again my number is[protected]

            I got the sms which reads MONO sms service would be renewed in 1 day, and it will cost me 1 re/day. I have never asked for it, and dialing 121 and 198 never takes me to customer care executive, i dont need this service and request you to stop it immediately.

            I have got my no([protected]) yesterday and i have not done anything on it...still i got a message today that animation pack is activated and 10 rs charged whereaas i have never ever activated it...infact i even don't know how to activate it...and when i tried to contact to customer servicee,they always cut the line after sometime without listening the whole thing......i searched on web and found that its full with similar fraud stories by airtel....i am now gathering people online and i want to request everybody here who see this that contact me so that we can directly lodge a case in consumer court..its high time these guys have been financially robbing people.
            u r correct . it happened to me also ... more than three times...
            you are correct. i have 3g internet package active with still 600 MB of data available for me. i have browsed the internet in my cell for 5 min. and then in the next day i see 100 Rs is deducted from the balance. when contacted to Customer Care they are saying Animation pack got downloaded and got charged of 100 Rs. when i asked customer care is there any way to block such kind of balance deduction from downloads then they are saying its not possible its fault from our side. Before charging there has to information about it. or airtel service provider should give security to our prepaid balance account so that it will not fall into wrong hands as there are fraud people all around.               See i already made one complaint about that I have problem viewing channels because of overlapping of clolours at regular intervals and we haven't got any reply from your side
              As a customer we do what ever we can to make sure you hear our problems but as a company from customer eyes you have not even taking action on complaint that we have placed a month back

              i am getting frustrated of making 3 to 5 calls a day to so call to your customer care for last 10 days were the response worst as it seem to me become my routine job i mailed you on problem and made complaints in this blog and also made complain in airtel via tele,email . i don't know what can we do to hear our problems as customer (pls recommend airtel dth in what way we can reach you)

              its my humble request to any one who reading this as customer uyer who are planning to buy artel dth pls rethink about it

              we want airtel dth to response to complaint we made before and on this. And there is no meaning complaints are posted in blogs and no response from airtel dth if your company really want improve after sale services pls reply to complains;comment that are made in siteslogs were it is posted and pls respect the customer suggestion and take action

              Good to see reply to the quires we raised but see mr.Rakesh Ranga it has taken 11days for us to get this simple reply .any how thanks for reply
              Sir i don't know how mush time required for your employees to solve the issue as we made complaint on 15days back and you saying to us now that it required some time (how much time it will take only god know that)

              i want to ask one question that as a customer we suffered for almost a month in viewing the channels. can airtel dth make refund the amount for one month for this suffering (as we have subscribe for 7months)

              We also not satisfied by reply given to us .pls ask your customer care manager to look it in to reply made so far or by yourself .see reply to the above complaint or to the previous complaint we made .It look like so non committal in the sense READ THIS " ( our team is working on a resolution. At the outset, we apologize for the inconvenience faced by you)" we seen the same words for the previous complaint about 1) problem in viewing the channel,
              2) worst responses from customer care
              3) inattentive to the complaints
              not even changed the words you used
              even the consecutive reply to complain are similar and we also read the complaint about airtel dth and replay to those are also similar .

              How can different complaint made by different persons but reply to complaint will be similar????? .if anyone having problem with airtel dth make a complaint and see the reply you come to what i said

              This is irritating the customers without solving the problem saying to that customer itself that your problem be solved


              worst customer service that can provided to customer in market 2011 and see the reply of this man name (rakesh ranga) just look reply of other complaints made by others reply will be same not even the words been changed these people don't have any intention to rectify mistake that they made

                Dear Sir,

                My name is Vishal Dhariwal, My mobile no. is [protected]. I have Airtel Sim card, In which from Last 5 to 10 days two time Rs. 50 each, on 20/4/2011 Rs. 99, and Rs 20 is reduced from my main balance saying in message that you have downloaded mobile TV but I didnt downloaded any thing. When called in Airtel Customer Care they said to wait till 21/4/2011. My complaint no. is CBDCC Ref No: [protected]. When I didn't downloaded anything fom internet then why my nearly Rs. 220 is deducted. As I had registered my mobile for DND service after this I am receiving messages.

                Airtel customer didnt given any satisfied answer and when I demanded for refund they said to wait till 21/4/2011. I want please check in matter and make my balance refund.

                After submitting complaint here From airtel side Mr. Rakesh has called about my complaint. They said that you have been charged Rs. 220 for downloading JAVA GAME, but when balance is deducted airtel message and your customer care operator said that you have downloaded Mobile TV so you have been charged. Its clear that default is from your side and trying to lie with me.


                So please I am requesting to consumer complaint forum to solve this problem.

                  Reactivate the illegally deactivated 40 SIMS or pay heavy compensation in court.

                  AIRTEL illegally deactivated 40 SIMS. Still after repeated promises, they fail.


                  Failure to mention such a vital condition on the Airtel Sim Cover, amounts to DEFICIENCY and NEGLIGENCE on Airtel part, which they could be prosecuted for in The Consumer Court under THE CONSUMER PROTECTION ACT,1986, demanding the heavy compensation for deactivating all the 40 Sims purchased by me and my family.

                  AIRTEL failed to print the vital warning on their Sims’ pack that if the Sims were not started being used in three months after the purchase, the buyer would lose all his money spent on those Sims.


                  BRIEFS
                  I and my family purchased 40 Mobile Sims of Airtel.
                  And on the cover of Sims, it was categorically written that the Sims have LIFE TIME VALIDITY, provided they are activated in three months after its purchase. And this was done by the dealer instantly before us plus was rechecked by us after reaching home.
                  Every Sim was found working with full net coverage. We categorically asked the dealer that all the 40 Sims could not obviously be used simultaneously and hence would be used one by one as the Sims would go on exhausting.
                  The dealer assured us not to worry about and pointed out the LIFE VALIDITY TERM PRINTED on the Airtel Sims covers.

                  NOW the bitter part started when we tried to use them, once the first Sim got over. The Sim failed to work. When enquired and followed up the matter, we got very irresponsible written reply from one Ms Smriti Saxena of Airtel that as the Sims were not started being used in three months after the purchase, they were deactivated.
                  What type of arbitrary, immoral and illegal action and reply we got from Airtel.

                  They say that under such cases, no correspondences shall be entertained.
                  They expect us to suffer thousands of rupees for these 40 sims and they deny in this way?
                  This is nothing but tyranny of Airtel and they must stop claiming that they care for their customers.

                  They say go to net and read the conditions.
                  I ask how many people go to the net and read hundreds of their conditions?
                  When they may say on the cover to activate in 3 months, they could have very well said simultaneously to start using too in three months. But they didn’t.

                  We will have to buy 40 mobiles to start using all these Sims simultaneously.
                  Do Airtel expect this from us? Of course no.
                  Then why did at all they sell and activate so many Sims with the same name?
                  This simply proves that they are only interested in selling their products by hook or by crook.

                  And when we lodge our complaint to them, they without looking at the MERIT of the case, the AUTHENTICITY of the case, simply prefer to cut off the clients’ throat by misusing arbitrarily their any ABCD net condition as a tool to go for such a daylight robbery, putting their customer into thousands of rupees loss caused by AIRTEL’s NEGLIGENCE and DEFICIENCY.

                  It seems Airel is leaving no other choice before us except taking up the matter first with hundreds of Consumers Grievances Forums available on net and then to take up the matter in the Consumer Court, the way the Customs Commissioner Mr. Deepak Kumar did for one crore against ITC., obviously at the risk and cost of Airtel for heavy compensation to harass us with Trauma and monetary loss in this way.

                  Airtel — Illegal deactivation

                  I recharged on 24.09.09 my [protected] Haryana prepaid mobile to call lowering tariff for Rs105 with 6 months' validity but the Co.introduced next day another alike scheme of Rs60 only for 0ne year validity and Rs30 credit in account and duped me by such scheme and no validity of such schemes are given and the AirTel is habitual of doing this to extort the customers always, and deactivated on 05.10.09 which was vakid till 23.03.2010!
                  On complaint I was stunned to note that the Co. said that the same was deactivated because I had recharged for Rs.10 on 03.10.09 to lower STD rates which is false and illegal as I have no logic to recgharge such a small amount and have other mobile Nos.(DoCoMo [protected] on 1p/per sec pulse and of Rel.[protected] of 0/50p for anything).
                  The Co. has still not refunded my Rs105 and also not responded.
                  Please take stern action as they are earning by befooling people.

                    I was using [protected] Airtel service since June 2007 to Dec 2010, in
                    the month of November 2010 I got extra charged Rs. 900 for a call which
                    actually I have not made, the next day itself I called customer care
                    center and complained about wrong billing and asked them to stop
                    services and I stopped using that number.

                    I said that I am ready to pay the remaining bill exept the dispute amount Rs. 900

                    They discussed regarding this for three months and they disconnected
                    after three months.

                    Now harassing for the payment of three months for which I have not used
                    and calling all my relatives and friends 24X7 and harrasing for payment
                    of Rs.3000 and sending messages to all my friends and relatives contact
                    numbers saying as I am fraud damaging my reputation.

                    Even they have my new contact number and address and im in contact, they are contacting all my clients, friends and relatives and saying bad words.

                    First thig who gave the authority to use my call history and use those contact number?

                    PLEASE SUGGEST HOW TO PROCEDE LEAGALLY TO STOP THIS MENTAL HARASMENT AND HOW TO APPROACH CONSUMER COURT.

                      this is sandip bose from bilaspur chattisgarh,i am a customer of airtel prepaid service since 4-5 years,i am quite satisfied with the airtel services of non disturbing network,roaming fascilities etc,even many times in telephonic survey from delhi i have been asked what are the reason for being a satisfied customer,even i have told to many of my family friend to opt for this airtel services,,,but sir today ie[protected] i recharged with rs 18 for using mobiletv services when i was surfing a sudden msg came stating that my mobile number [protected] has been charged for rupees 99 for downloading java games,where i havent downloaded any games,nor the game has been downloaded.after that when i call customer care, i talked to 3 customer care executives n said my above stated problem...none of any action was taken i feel extremly regret about the airtel service...none of anybody told the exact reason for the the mentioned problem...


                      so sir/mam i request u please take some any action in this matter n inform me... because losing an existing customer is very bad effect for company,rather than making a new customer.

                        DSL Number#[protected]. I am getting call to pay my next 6th month advance pay to continue my Airtel Broadband Connection which I already requested to disconnect/cancel in the month of March - 2011. Now, when I ask them to Cancel the same, they said that it is already renewed and cannot be disconnected/cancel no matter if I use it or not.
                        I don't understand why do I pay for next 6th month if I don't want to use it. I am ready to pay any outstanding bill for my previous internet usage.

                        Hi There,

                        This is Nazeer. I would like to cancel the above two connections. Both the connections are in my name (Nazeer Pasha). I have taken another connection with benefits o[censored]nlimited airtel to airtel free. I kindly request your goodness to help me in cancelling the connection at earliest. I have called customer care regarding this issue but the response that I received was not so good.

                        a) My first call to customer care today was about 12 mins. The executive said he will be transferring the call to Cancellation department but it was not connected for about ten mins, I had to disconnect and then make a second call.
                        b) My second call was for about 5 mins. In my second call I expressed my anger for making me wait for 12 mins and call was not transferred to cancellation department. The executive promised me that call would be transferred at earliest…..after two mins call gets disconnected automatically.
                        c) In my third call, I expressed all my anger and then the executive took the request to cancel the connection and informed me that I will get call in 24hrs.                         Im Sasi Kiran. I have been using a Datacard of Airtel bearing No. [protected].
                        I have requested for cancellation of the same in the begining of November.

                        On 12th November I got a call from the representative asking for the reason.
                        She suggested me to pay the total amount of 852 and convert it to Prepaid for which I have asked her to send a representative.
                        She agreed and cancelled my request for cancellation.

                        However I received November bill again for an amount of 758/-

                        I called the customer care and told my issue and also written a mail regarding the same. I again got a call and the representative agreed to resend the bill upto 12th November on Pro-rata basis and asked me to visit airtel office for cancellation.

                        But when I went, as usual the personnel were very busy and attending only prospective customers rather than complaints. After long waiting they again asked me to pay Rs.758/-

                        I have given many mails to customer care but there was no proper response. I have also warned them I would lodge a complaint with Customer care, but they just replied please pay the due amount Rs. 758/-

                        Already the due date is over and I doubt If i would get any response properly. For taking the connection they were after me every day. but when I wanted to cancel they are torturing me like hell.

                          Hi,

                          I am an AirTel prepaid customer with mobile number [protected]. I applied to migrate from prepaid to postpaid connection on 11th April 2011 (Monday) at
                          "BRANDSHOP INDIRANAGAR LOBBY
                          Ground Floor Salarpuria Landmark 2002 100 feet Road HAL 2nd Stage Bangalore 560038 LM Near Coffee Day Citibank ATM 560038
                          Bangalore".
                          I submitted all the documents that I was asked for and payed 300 Rs as deposit for postpaid connection.
                          The person at relationship center took 2 hours and verified all the documents. He gave me a new SIM card and told me that after 48 hours my new SIM will be activated. I conveyed to him that I have to leave Bangalore on 22nd April 2011, so I want this thing to be done before that.
                          He assured me that it will take at most 48 Hours.
                          I waited for a week but I received no communication from AirTel. This Monday (18th April 2011) I revisited same relationship center.
                          People at relationship center first didn't have any clue why it took so long for a simple P2P migration. Then they gave me old "technical problem" reason for the delay. When I tried to enquire about what technical problem they are speaking about I didn't get any clear answer. I was re-assured that in another 48 hours my post paid connection will be activated.
                          Today (20th April 2011) I got a call from AirTel person asking me to visit relationship center again because they need some signature from me until then they cannot migrate my connection.
                          I am a working person and it is really hard for me to visit relationship center again and again.
                          I am leaving Bangalore in tomorrow and it is really urgent for me to get this thing resolved.
                          Please do the needful.

                          As I had mentioned I was out of town for a week. I was contacted by AirTel during that time and it was told that once I return back to Bangalore, i.e. on 1st May 2011, I will be contacted for address verification.

                          I haven't heard back from AirTel on this yet. I am still on prepaid plan.

                            Bharti Airtel limited has done fraud with us they have been charged Rs.15 on dated 20.04.11 time 12.15 PM for event call without my knowledge and intention.I have activated DND (Do not disturb) services in my mobile no.[protected]. But they have debited my balance.
                            Its not a first time earlier they have charged for Rs.20 for mobile services but i ignore that. As as consumer i have not bear that type of loss again and again.                                 I have registered complaint on 7th April 2011 through my mobile by sent add channels for my kid (for summer holiday) and 8th April 2011 again i loged complaint over customer care[protected] Airtel CC, and they gave complaint request id and they said, engineer will come within 24hrs and solve the promblem they said and almost till date i'm calling and they are telling the same message that within 24hrs our engineer will come..... i don't know really Airtel Customer care.... know or not what is meaning of 24hrs...? and they deducted amount from my accout for adding channels......

                                  Here is sequence of activities

                                  1. Few days back i request for Movies Now. CC people tell me to change dish position.
                                  2. Airtel guy comes and we decide not to shift the dish as it is not possible.
                                  3. 2 days later i get a call where they cancel my movies now request
                                  4. Today afternoon my airtel TV is disconnected with only a error flashing on screen as
                                  "There was an error during installation........Error code SM2"
                                  5. I asked CC and they told that i have been migrated to new satellite. God knows why. But they tell me i will get all channels WITHOUT changing dish antenna position. I think he was bluffing.
                                  6. He says that i need to keep my STB ON for 30 min. I do it (for an hour) but no resolution.
                                  7. Still no resolution and no response from airtel presence.

                                  I have exactly the sameproble...on 12th April a person came to my home saying that DISH direction will have to be changed and that was it after that neither is it working in the old direction nor is working in the new direction
                                  I have a suggestion to you and everyone reading this message and has a problem with Airtel's service - lets try to spread facts of Airtel DTH's pathetic service as much as possible - lets mention it on twitter/ facebook and every other place possible. Let us do our best to alert as much potential customers of Airtel DTH as possible so that they also do not end up wasting their hard earned money and time. It is pathetic on the part of Airtel to sell their DTH products when they do not have the back up infrastructure to support customer calls. I have decided to never call their customer care and get insulted with the call getting cut everytime.

                                  I think if people who have been victims of poor service from Airtel DTH form a group that would possible be one of the largest groups in India.
                                  Still no response from any airtel person.
                                  I never reach any real agent on your telephone CC.

                                  i absolutely agree with u all that the so called service provided by airtel is amatuer and needs revamping immediately! Crappy service was what i have always got...when i called cust care to solve my installation problem and they gave me a local number of a renowned shop in my town who did not receive my calls when in fact i called up the man two days in a row, probably at least about 20 times but to no avail. I was left with no other choice but to call in another mechanic who finally fixed my dish tv.
                                  Towards the end of every 30 days when my top-up for the month is almost over, airtel cust care calls me up repeatedly unnecessarily and asks me stupid questions like..."why arent u recharging ur dish tv? is it because you have no money?'...i was absolutely stunned and irritated with such idiotic conversation that i hung up the call... who is airtel cust care to question my decision to recharge my dish tv or not...dont i have my own free will to decide as to when i want to do so? arent we living in a democracy here? i got Dish Tv connection at home and we got no problems of any sort with it whatsoever, if my recent problem of SM2 doesnt get solved soon then dat will be the end of airtel dish tv service as far as im concerned! I just recharged it with Rs. 400 two days back and suddenly SM2 problem is flashing on my tv screen... money doesnt grow on trees for anyone we work real hard for it... now its like i've flushed the money down the drain cos i have no hope whatsoever of getting the problem resolved...cos the last time i called cust care they were askin me yet some more stupid questions like wats my name and blah blah blah when i was in fact on an STD call as i dont have airtel phone connection, finally i was so frustrated that i ended the call without getting any resolution! people please beware of airtel dish tv i hope y'all dont make the mistake of buying one like me!

Though it has more than enough balance & validity upto 22 august 2008, the incoming calls & outgoing SMS services are held up from January 2008, & now even outgoing calls is not being provided with. Inspite of my repeated talks with your 'customer care' & their assurance to provide unhindered services within 24 hrs. nothing has happened till date.                                     My daughter Bhawna Gupta who is doing her B tech from Jaipur got a prepaid connection from Airtel in the month of sept 2010. The SIM was activated. After a weeks time SIM did not worked and it was showing " Registration failed ". On enqiry from customer care, she was told that it was due to verification of her ID. After one month the SIM was again activated. The SIM is again showing "Registration Failed " since 18th Oct 2010. She is unable to work on internet also due to above problem.

                                    I want to know, why the SIM was first activated without verifying the ID. Once the ID was verified then why again the SIM is not working. I request to get the SIM activated again.
