[Resolved] Airtel — Regarding airtel DTH connection customer ID [protected] | |||
I have been using Airtel DTH since July of last year.I recently moved from Mahalingapuram to Sholinganallur and Airtel came and disconnected the service at the old place.After moving to the new place with the dish and settop box I raised a reinstallation request.There is a mandate at my new apartment that none of the wires should be hanging outside and all the wiring has to be concealed.There is provision for having one DTH connection alone so tatasky came and installed it promptly and we are using that connection for our TV in main room.Airtel engineer came to my premises and tried doing the reinstallation in my bedroom but since he mentioned that it is not possible for him to conceal the wiring I decided to cancel my connection and return the dish and settop box.I have been trying to explain this to your customer care executives in the 1800 number provided and they don't seem to understand my request.It is really strange that your customer care executives start talking in hindi first without even understanding which part of India the customer is calling from. Anyway I was finally able to talk to a lady yesterday(March 5) who spoke in english and I explained that I want to disconnect the service.She raised the request for the same and the number is 16727294.But as expected no one has responded to this request as yet.I requested the lady to put my account status on hold until the request is attended so that my account balance does not reduce due to the daily burn rate.But I see that airtel promptly reduces the amount from my account balance in spite of me not using the connection.Also I believe I'am eligible for a refund for the dish and settop box as the reason I'am not able to install airtel at my new home is because of the concealed wiring.I hope someone would address this issue and disconnect the service asap and give me the refund i'am eligible for. Thanks for the response.I have not got any response from Airtel as yet on this issue.The available balance on my account is now Zero Rs and it is really unfair that all the while the amount was being deducted even though I was not using the connection.I should atleast be refunded the balance which was available on my account as of Last Friday(March 2) along with whatever I'am eligible for after returning my settop box and dish.

The services have been disconnected due to zero balance on my account .While airtel is prompt in doing this the request for cancelling the service which I raised 10 days ago has not been attended.Hope you look into this. Issue seriously and provide me with the refund ASAP.The settop box and dish are with me and you can send someone to collect the same anytime and process the refund.
FYI I keep getting calls from different airtel numbers but it gets disconnected the moment I try to answer it.

My complaint has still not been attended to after two weeks of waiting.The services were disconnected due to zero balance in my account but I had submitted the request for canceling the service even before that.Iam tired of talking to your customer service executives as they don't seem to understand anything and keep repeating the same thing over and over again.Iam cursing myself for choosing airtel as my DTH provider as I have only had bad experiences since I purchased it

AIRTEL DIGITAL TV — connection of dish disconnected.
at evening of 30th April, 2010 suddenly picture of my TV disappeared. I checked all channel but no picture appeared. My ID No is [protected]. The setup box is unable to receive signal. Kindly look into the matter.Mahipal Singh Saini
