I have been a customer of airtel mobile services since last 5 years and inspite of the same I have been mistreated and abused by an Airtel Collecting agent for a bill of mere 4000k inspite of explaining the reason of non- payment.
And to my shock , inspite of raising this to senior executive and asking only an apology note , there has not been any action.
Details for reference:
I was using the number : [protected] for more than a year and then considering my work assignment to Srilanka , i could not pay the bill , moresoever as there was no international roaming availaible hence I had no option but to change the number , The day I returned - I got a call from the so called " legal deptt" that I need to submit my bill , Considering working hours I informed that it would be possible only after 6:00pm , I got 5 calls between 1 to 6 :00 for reminder - which was not only disturbing but also made me feel as if I was a terrorist /culprit who would run away with 4000k . The last call I got was at 6:30 pm on the same day when I was actually going towards the Airtel Relationship Center and these were the words of the executive " If you are poor and you cannot afford tp pay then why do you buy phones,,, this is not your dads company , I will now call all your friends and tell that you are a cheater etc etc .." - this was all in Hindi with usage of abusive words like - aukat , baap ...
This was just too much to handle after a day long in office and hence decided to go back home and lodge a formal complaint, I discussed with family and they adviced that I should just forget about it and pay the bill . Considering their advice I decided to pay the bill the next day.
The next day - at 11:00 I got call from my mother saying that she has been abused by the same agent from airtel and the chain does not stop here , the agent had called all the most used nbumbers - my husband , inlaws, my friends... - the language used cannot even be detailed in this mail .
At 2:00 I got a call from the same lady and the abuses started again and this time I had to tell her to hand over the phone to the senior manager ,,, which she ignored - she yelled and called me "Ghatiya", " Farebi", "Bekar", "Paise khanne vaali" for an hour and eventually with her loud voice her senior manager heard and took the phone from her..
I narrated the story to her and told her that the bill would be paid only after apology mail amd call to all the numbers where I have been defamed for a mere amount ...There has been no call or no mail since then ..and I need an explaination on the below :
- Reason of mental harrasment
- Reason of defamation
- Reason of no apology
I am in a stable job , engineer by education and manager in a MNC by profession , hence money is not the reason of not paying the bill .. but I need to understand how do you plan to repay the mental harrasment and defamation done by a local executive....and more so the complete failure to address the issue even by a senior executive ???????

Please check my all complaints, when I called first time to your customer care, your people told that after the bill generation extra money will be deducted, then I waited till the generation of bill.
Please find below complaint lists, same was not solved by your people . if this would have solved ( Java games activation deactivation ) on first day in January, my bill would not crossed 500 per month.
First complaint date : 13/01/2012, spoke to Chetan ( F[protected]
Second complaint date : 17/01/2012, spoke to Sandeep ( Group Manager ) (F[protected]
Mr. .Prashanth[protected] spoken with me on 30-04/2012 and told that 2500 rupees he is going to give concession.
Dear all ….. please understand my problem, if I was a guilty I would have paid my bill long back…!
Today recover person came to me ( RAM ) came to me for bill, please act immediately and resolve the issue. My actual call charges not crossed 1500 rupees also.
