Dear Forum,

On 13th Jan 2010, I withdrew some money from Axis Bank Dr A S Rao Nagar, Hyderabad, branch via a check. I was given 32 nos, Rs 1000 denomination notes and remaining in 500.

I deposited this money in an another bank against my loan. There they identified 1 Rs 1000 note as fake. When i took this note back to Axis Bank they just denied as being issued by them.

The cashier and the manager both just kept saying that every note they receive they scan if for fake, hence no way a fake note would be issued by them. The cashier also mentioned that earlier whenever he accepted fake notes by mistake, hed had to pay the bank from his pocket, and he paid 12000 as such. I ask the cashier, is it the reason that you have a problem from bank and now you are passing down the problem on to customer.

I told them again that i appreciate for all the processes you are following, and i said this note that i hold in my hand is from the same money that i received from the bank just 30mins back. It was like i am trying to prove i am not lying.


On this they became reluctant and said that is not their note, and ask me to do what ever i want to do.

The most surprising part was, leaving alone customer service respect, they said it is not our responsibility, you can go where ever you want to or go to RBI whereever...

I want to know :

1. Is this how Axis treats every customer.
2. Is a customer or the cashier responsible for fake notes.
3. For such reasons would'nt the customer try to distribute the fake note/s further, saving his/her loss.
4. Is customer or the bank criminal.
5. Does a customer or the cashier needs to undergo such emotional trauma.
6. Shouldnt the process be to collect all such notes however they happen to come, and try to stop further distribution.

Please help me on the above and what the next steps should be.

    Lien balance locked amount

    Hi Axis Bank CEO,


    My account no is [protected]...

    Unfortunately my company is having salary account with your stupid bank.. where almost all the employees are useless. I have sent a mail related to my money got locked in lien balance by 8th Jan and till today havent got the reply. Spoke to call center twice and they referred loan department who has locked my amount in lien balance. Loan department...

    Hi,

    I applied for Home Loan from Axis Bank during mid December'09. In January 1st week I gave them a call and ended up in a shock. Loan was not processed. Now they say a life insurance attached to the home loan from Axis bank.

    Surprisingly they say it is only mandatory for those people taking loan below 30 lakhs. This should not be the case since higher the loan amount the higher the risk with the bank.

    They also refuse to send any official or written communication in this regard,

    My loan document which was being handled by Mr. Seetharam and Mr. Sathies of Axis bank Kormangla branch in Bangalore is now being returned to me without giving any official reason for rejection.

    Not sure how to handle such miscommunication and misbehaviour from Axis Bank.

      I am from Bangalore, recently joined my new company, after they opened my new Corporate account, i havnt received my account Kit with the debit card yet, However i do have recieved all the pass words. Its almost a month now, got to know from my finance department that my salary has been deposited in my new account and that its activated. however its of no use as neither have my cheque book nor my debit card so that i could withdram money from my account. I dont even have my customer ID no so that i could log onto i connect and check my account status. All i have is my account no with which i cannot log in i connect. please help me.

      I had applied for opening a new savings account in Axis bank at Madhyamgram branch on last week .I had submitted my all documents such as address proof, age proof, photo and also initial money of rupees 5105. But still now i am getting no response from Axis bank. Please look into this matter with immediate effect.
      I paid Rs 5000/- on 28/1/2011 for opening saving account till date not received account number in kompally branch, near hyderabad, Dist Ranga reddy in Andhra Pradesh. it is very bad thing to opening account delay some other banks providing account bank in 1day but in your bank very delay. I dont want opening account in your bank. please cooperate me. I thought your bank was very bad relationship to customer.I want very urgent my account number.

        Hello Sir

        my a/c no is [protected]. On 26th of december. 2009 Rs 750/- and Rs77.25/- was deducted from my account with reference to CONS and SERV respectively.
        I can understand about the service charges, but why this amount of Rs750/- has been deducted from my account please explain.

          Dear sir, On 31/12/2009 I entered my gold debit card of axisbank in a SBI ATM (BRANCH RANGAPARA @-3883 Ph. Fax- [protected]) to withdraw Rs 10000.00. I swiped my atm card to withdrw and enter amount the atm machine show unable to process but Rs .10000.0 0 debited from my account.             Dear Sir,
            We have 4 saving account in Axis bank of Hari Nagar,Haridwar Uttarakhand branch my account no. is [protected], [protected], [protected],[protected].Axis bank charged on above four account Rupess.750.00+77.25 regarding to AQB Non Maintenance Charges.But i Manage Average Quterly Balance above 5000/Day during 25/09/2009 to 24/12/2009 . But Axis Bank Calculating AQB From 15/09/2009 to 14/12/2009 instead of 25/09/2009 to 24/12/2009 as according to their Schedule Charges Paper(Which I received along with my welcome kit).I Attached scan copy of their Schedule Charges Paper(Which I received along with my welcome kit). Axis Bank have to inform us if He change any AQB calculation cycle Anytime But Axis bank changed AQB calculation cycle without any prior notice So these charges are not applicable for My accounts.
            Kindly help us to get refund of Rupess.750.00+77.25=827.25/Account regarding to AQB Non Maintenance Charges from my Accounts and inform us as soon as possible. We are waiting for your earlier reply.

              Hello,
              Can any one pls guide me.
              I have axis bank meal card,but i can not swipe it.i have tried out in dominos & many places.
              I have visited axis bank also & requested for the list of places where i can use it,but no responce.
              Can some one heip me???
              And the worst thing is that u can not swipe more then 100 inr a day.

                  dear Sir,

                  I have made a transaction through my credit card No. [protected]on 19.12.2009 for purchase of tickets of Essel World for Rs. 2460/- which was not approved by AXIS Bank Credit Card Division till 21.12.2009(Date of Visit in Essel World). Since on non -receipt of payment from Axis Bank the Essel World, Mumbai has not allowed to enter me on 21.12.2009. On being inquired from Customer Care it has been informed that the said transaction is pending and it can be cancelled from Merchant end, on simply sending fax from Essel World. I have made another transaction of Rs. 2460/- on dated 21.12.2009 to enter the Essel world. The fax related to cancellation of said transaction has already with me and acknowledgment of the same is with me. On further being enquired from AXIS Bank on 27.12.2009 I have been informed that the same transaction cannot be canceled as the said transaction has been approved.

                  Since the essel Wold has not performed the services on account of payment the tranaction dated 19.12.2009 should be cancelled as it is a major lapse on part of Bank who did no provide me services which required to given to a loyal customer like me, hence you are requested to help me to cancel the above transaction at the earliest.

                      today i am being handed over a cheque bearing no.271203 dated 11.12.09 for rs.2463.00 drawn in favour of Chintamani CHS Ltd., where i reside, for the reason "drawers signature differs".

                      i am maintaining this account for more than two years now n bank is holding Rs.1,00,000.00 in fixed deposit n more than Rs.50,000 are lying idle in my above mentioned a/c.

                      i fail to understand why the cheque is returned? because any body can make out that no fraud can take place if cheque is drawn in favour of Govt.Departments/Municipal/Banks/MTNL and housing societies. the efficiency o[censored]r bank has landed me in deep trouble as this is first instance when my cheque is returned in my life.

                      on receipt of this returned cheque my husband - Dr. Pradeep Deshmukh, called on ur efficient officer - mr. muddassar, n he asked him why my cheque was returned for the reason which is not acceptable to us as i hv signed on that cheque as i am signing usually.

                      any sensible officer could have replied that we should not hv returned the cheque n hv called u n confirmed from u whether i have issued the cheque or not. i am working just two minutes walk from ur branch n they could have called me personally n asked me sign again or confirm. when my husband told him that even when the signature is correct why the cheque is returned? then what is use of maintaing the account with ur bank?better v close the account!ur efficient officer-mr.muddassar- immediately replied ok, close the account when my husband told him that he will approached ur higher ups for redressal of grievance he carelessly replied to go anywhere n banged the phone.

                      now pl look into the matter n punish the errant officials as well as instruct them to honour the cheques even signature may be differing issued in favour of departments as mentioned by me above.

                      I also faced the same problem with Axis Bank, I issued a cheque yesterday (26.12) to my father, I have sufficient funds in my savings bank account, but the bank dishonoured the cheque. They did not furnish any valid reason for dishonoring the cheque. I will be meeting the officials next working day and lodge a complaint with them personally, in writing, if they dont give proper answer, surely I will file a complaint before the consumer forum in chennai.

                      Please you too lodge a complaint in writing with the concerned branch manager, the behaviour of the officer is unwarranted they should apoligise to you for the unwarranted behaviour.

                      When they call you to open a account or request you to deposit some money, during year end, they will speak very politely but, if we approach them with some problems they will behave like this.

                      Think about filing a complaint before the consumer forum then only the bank will learn to respect its customers.

                      I have decided to close the account.

                        Sir,
                        I am having a savings account with axis bank no. [protected] with internet banking facility. For last two month I am unable to connect the internet banking due to some error occured in my one touch net secure device which every time generates a wrong code. After intimating this problem to their customer care service for several times no result came. Also wrote several e-mails to IBRM service of axis bank. Every time they reply promptly saying problem has been sorted out. But when I try to connect the internet banking the same error message appears. Then I sent the snap shot of the computer screen with the error message and the print screen with the error message to IBRM. Now they have stopped replying to my mails. I went twice to the branch (Golpark, Kolkata) given written application. Though already a month is over after giving the application at the branch I am yet to get a reply / answer from them. Please advice me under this type of situation what should I do? To whom to approach?

                          Axis Bank has recently initiated one mutual fund in which they are charging Rs.250/- per application. While SEBI has clearly stated that no charges would be levied at the entry for any mutual fund.

                          Therefore I feel it is unjustified and calls for SEBI/or any relevant authority's attention. Some innocent public who are not aware of these rules have already given that money. Moreover, it is not clear in theirfund offer what sort of consultation they would provide in a new fund?

                          Guess how much money the Axis bank would earn on a 1 million application (2.5 crores !!!) just for nothing....

                          When SEBJ has already stated not to charge any Levy, it is not only unethical but illegal to realise an amount of Rs.250.00 per application from the public by AXIS BANK for which, they have no authority.Amount so realised should be refunded.

                          who charged you this money? I invested through moneyvriksh.com. They didn't charge anything from me. I have already got statement from Axis mutual fund
                          So, it is for sure that axis doesnt charge any 250 rupees. It must be your broker who has charged consultation fee.

                            I have an axis bank account which was opened as a salary account on jan'08. I had switched to other company. so I need to open a salary account in HSBC. there is no salary credited in axis bank account. On jul'09 they have debited 750 rs. They did not inform like they have converted my salary account to a saving account. When i met the bank person, he told me to write a letter to manager t revert the amount. I did. 3 times i met the person after i gave the letter.. but no response. Again they debited 750 rs. they didnt make any charge for 9 months, suddenly they converted my account as salary account and start debitting money. EVEN I HAVE INTERENT AND PHONE BANKING, THEY KEEP CALLING ME FOR CREDIT CARDS AND SOME NEW SCHMES IF THEY INTRODUCE. BUT THERE IS NO INTIMATION FOR CHANGING ACCOUNT TYPE. SUPRISING THING IS THEY DEBIT 150 OF TAX FOR 750 RS. THERE IS NO PROPER RESPONSE. LET THEM STOP PULLING MONEY FROM PEOPLE.

                            sir, I am customer of axis bank of jeypore, orissa having a/c no-[protected] from 1/12/2008.till now ihave not done single transaction above said bank.I see my a/c balance is lean amount.as I conact the branch few month ego, they tell that the phone bnking charges Rs120/- cut at fist time then Rs750/- cut my a/c every quarterly from two years.Till now I have not get a single quarterly statement of my present adress.I contact Branch Manager of above said bank, he said me you will come our branch and said that compermise with me of lean amount, then what shoud I do ? my present adress is Qr no-L124, hal township, sunabeda-2, koraput, orissa, my phone no-[protected].I want to close my a/c and cosider my problem as quickly as possible, thank you.

                              MY ATM Card of Axis Bank strucked while I was operating at Canara Bank ATM counter near cantonment Railway station. I have approched Canara Bank ATM Cell (Mr Krishnamoorthy) as the strucked card have not received back in my Axis Bank. I have been refused by canara bank atm cell asper their standard pattern!!! I have to pay Rs 150/= if i have to have new atm card from Axis bank !!! Why they are not following like other cases ? Please help to get back the ATM card from canara bank.

                                Respected Sir,
                                Myself is Sachin Kumar Dubey using ATM Card of Axis Bank Ranchi, (Albert Ekka Chowk Main Road Branch, ). On 22/02/2010 I wanted to withdraw Rs. 1000/- cash from nearest ATM centre at Allahabad Bank ATM near Harmu Housing Colony Branch. But, neither have I received cash but receipt rejection slip/receipt from the said ATM Center, & my account gets debited by Rs.1000/-.For your ready ref. I am giving you My ATM Card No.[protected] & my AxisBank SB.a/cNo.is[protected] .
                                Now I request you to take the matter on priority basis & credit the amount of Rs. 1000/- to my Axis Bank account without any further delay.

                                I GURURAJA K SAMY have a saving account in MG road Branch Bangalore, on 28.09.10 i was visit SBI ATM at Tamilnadu for withdrawing the money, i entered the amount Rs 10000 and while processing power was failed in ATM and after resume the power also i did't received the money but the amount was detected from my account and this i come to know by another withdrawal.

                                    Dear Sir,
                                    I Have received Debit Card No [protected] , in the month of Oct 09 Which is of no use to me as I have not received the Pin Number. When I Enquired I am being told that the same has been sent through courier(did not mention which courier) and the courier person could not trace the address which is ridiculous, as i stay in a very prominent place and keep receiving other couriers . Unfortunately till date I have not received the same. Kindly Mail me the courier name and air way bill No, so that I can follow-up with the same. Such a negligence on part of such a foreign Bank (Bad public relation) like you is not expected.Also the staff were very rude when i called up the particular branch.

                                    Please treat the matter as most urgent and do the needful.

                                    Axis Bank — Inability to use Debit Card

                                    I use the internet banking facility thru iconnect. However I am unable to use my Debit Card for online purchases. I have also registered with the 'Verified by Visa' program. Please advice.
                                    I joined Amity International School, Vasundhara in September. Our salary account is with Axis Bank. I had applied for account opening in the month of October by depositing all required documents. Twice the form was misplaced and the third time the Bank has informed me to fill up the form again. I really fail to understand why my account is still not being opened. Such a kind of behaviour is not expected from such a reputed Bank.

                                    I request you to kindly take severe action in this matter and get my a/c. opened at the earliest.

                                    This is Nikhil. Our company changed our accounts from SCB to Axis supposing that their service and features would be better. But as I have always thought this bank has still not changed. They send me my welcome kit, internet banking and telephone banking pwds, but end of the day they don't send me my Debit Card. Now I have my sal credited to the account and can't use the money. To use power transfer to transfer to my old SCB A/C, it requires three numbers from the credit card. This is obnoxious and not at all digestable. People like me in my office are still waiting for the same to happen. This Bank is the worst I have ever banked with. Need to take the most severe action that could be taken.

                                    Axis Bank — Didn't receive debit card PIN even after 2 months

                                    After loss of my debit card - I applied for fresh debit card around 25th July.

                                    After several follow ups I received my debiot card on 2nd Sep. But they sent my debit card's PIN to my old address.

                                    The axis bank services are pathetic. They opened my salary account with the address of my employer, that too with lot of spelling errors. The greatest blunder they did was that the updated my wring date of birth, ie for 02/08, they made it as 22/08.and now they are asking me to come down to their branch to get it updated. Even though after providing the address proof and date of birth, they did this. Now I can't generate any pin, either debit card or net banking. I was in an urgent need of cash, but the pathetic services of axis bank really made me run for money although having it in my account and I couldn't withdraw.

                                      Myself Harsh Joshi was an credit card holder of Axis bank card no [protected],i was very happy with the card and services of your bank but due to some financial crisis and recession period in between i was unable to pay my dues on time and then once suddenly i was called by your collection team for not making a payment for more than three months for which i was paying interest,i was told to pay the amount which was used by me and interest part will be waived off and i can again use the card so i said ok and i paid the amount(principal) and they gave me a settlement letter and they had put my name in cibil records for which for a small amount i am stuck in life so i will advice the senior management to keep proper staff and also to inputt proper information to their staff so that people like me who was going to pay the amount late with interest and had to pay early due to false committment given by the collection team and your bank official,

                                      I am also ready to pay the remaining amount with interest if the bank gives me a guarantee that my name would removed out of cibil records
