I have taken Dish Tv True connection in June 2012 for the channels as elaborated in World HD Package @ Rs.385/- per month, but now they have excluded the most important channel Zee Cinema from World HD Package and are asking for purchase of Ala-Cart-pack which is Rs100 per month extra to get included the above excluded channel Zee cinema.

As such now DTH Dish Tv HD pack for which includes only 5 Hindi channels is minimum Rs.385/- monthly charges + Rs.100/- for inclusion of Zee Cinema & some English channels = Rs.485/- per month.

Since I have taken HD connection under the influence that I would have to pay only Rs.385/- per month for the channels as elaborated in World HD package. Because of sudden withdrawal of channels is against fair business practices. Zee Cinema was part of HD World Package at the time of getting Dish Tv True connection so Rs.100/- per month should not be charged from me, otherwise my HD connection should be converted into SD connection under Silver package.

did they restore the HD channels which were taken out of the HD pack from June 21, you know what i have been writing to their customer care and every time i get a response from a different person and the response that i get is the standard response that since cost has gone up they have removed these HD channels from the pack and if we wish to continue to view them we should pay Rs 100 extra for the A La Carte

I think we should file a complaint with the consumer protection forum

    Recently just this month (June 2012) at the time of installation ‘Zee Cinema’ & ‘Travel XP’ were part of Dishtv HD connection World Package, but now they have excluded these channels from broadcasting to the HD Package subscribers and are demanding Rs.100/- per month extra for viewing it as HD channel other than Rs.385/- per month for the cheapest World Package. There are a few channels to view to Hindi speaking families in HD packages, ‘Zee Cinema’ is one of them. After excluding this HD channel only Zee HD (entertainment channel ) & Sony HD remains to be viewed in HD other than English channels except UTV Stars (music channel) & M-Tunes (music channel) in Hindi at the cost of Rs.385/- per month. So to say only 4 channels are available for Hindi speaking families at the cost of Rs.385/- per month. It is very unfair business by Dishtv India Ltd. Once they offer channels and then exclude them from package and ask for extra payment. This is against fair business practices. Once you have taken HD connection, they donot convert it in SD channel package, as such subscriber is compelled to subscribe for HD channels on payment of minimum Rs.385/- per month.
    I bought a dish TV connection on 09/06-12. Till date 23/06/12, it is not installed. Generally all set top boxes will be installed in a day or two. They have given every single thing to contract. Neither their manager knows whats going on in any particular case. CHAOS in DISH TV

    I am also having the same problem. I am a subscriber of HD Royal Pack which includes all HD channels, but suddenly a few days ago they stopped Travel XP without any notification. I am already paying Rs 560 per month which is the highest among all other service providers. Demanding more money for one or two particular channel is totally unfair. I am thinking to unsubscribe Dish TV for their whimsical decisions.

      We have given request for reinstallation on 01 June 12, today 16th no body visited. Saying that cable operators issue here, so we have to arrange the technician. So, i have following up for the last 15 days. Now, I asked them to repay Rs.2500 as penalty/charges for delay/inefficiency so that I can go for alternate service provider.       Hello, I am one of sufferer of Dish Tv. My VC No. is [protected], I am Govt. Employee and was posted at Jaipur. Recently I got my transfer order for Delhi, accordingly I took the equipment of Dish Tv ( as advised by the one of dealer at Jaipur) to install the same at Delhi at my residence.I contacted two Dealers of Dish Tv nearby my residence to reinstall at my residence but they suggested me to call the Call Center of Dish Tv for this work and gave me the No. of Call Center i.e.43144800. Accordingly, I registered my first request on 27.05.09 at around 4.30 PM to the said center. One Mr. Manoj told me that this will be done on next day i.e 28.05.09, but there was no response by the Company, so I again contacted on 28.05.09 at 4.00PM but I could not get the satisfactory reply from the said Center, once they also disconnected my call while I was talking to them. After three calls Mr. Manoj informed me that today by late evening it must be reinstalled but all in vain. Again no response. I waited whole day of 29.05.09, but they didn't bother. Is this the SERVICE of DISH TV ? I was planning to switchover my other cable connection to Dish TV, but the response of the Company forced my change my planning. If this type of service will be given by the Company very soon we will see the scene brought by the MTNL on their advertisement, the nest on Antena. Kindly let me know the remedy of my problem.
      I have requested to re-install my dish on same floor on 22/08/09 no reference Number given, against requested on 24/08/09 for which Ref No : 28547187 given. But till now no action taken.

      Taking every time to their Customer Care No Satisfactory Answer.

      Hi this is sudheer, recently i shifted from hyderabd to chennai.i gave a request for re installation on 8th. every time when i am asking for the status they are telling 24hr from that time.. can some one please help me out of this. my VC no:[protected] .and same time they are telling that the complain was closed and reinstallation was done. the customer care people doesn;t have the patience to listen and telling every time it will done in another 24 hrs. its almost 9 day from the first complaint give.

        i booked a DTH connection on 10 jun 12. i did not install the same till on 16 Junv12. i paid the amount 1090/- from my credit card. the mechant claim for the same vide transaction id no 010596. but the DTH customercare told me that payment was received their end. i mailed the statement of hdfc bank credit card they did not reply me after 06 days already pass as they promise that within 24 hours they will mailed. please take up the matter

        Dish Tv Dth Connection — Non Installation between the time period

        I have Online booked the dish tv connection on 11th Nov.12 morning 8 O clock, but the connection is not installed on till 18 th Nov . As per dish tv the installation period is 5 to 6 days after booking. My token no is 190477.

          i have two Dish tv connection i have logged call at dish tv customer care 6th june 12 but they are not resolving that problem, problem is showing in mt screen "Recharge your dish tv or call customer care", at my child connection but my recharge date is 15th june 12 but its customer care executive not able to help me so that i will send a mail to diactivate my child connection and transfer my child connection fund's those are not running because they are not able to resolve my problem, so that dish tv customer care saying dish tv had change our polices so that they didn't transfer my fund in my parent connection. kindly resolve my problem.

            I am an existing customer of dishtv. then i purchased another one new connection from dishtv through online. at the time of purchasing as per the consultation with customer care service it seems to be installed within 24 hours. so i had made the payments. after successful transaction i receieved a massage that it will take 3-5 bussiness days due to remote location (AIZAWL is the Address). but till date i have not got the installation already after one week. by complaining and consulting and after hot arguments somehow i have receieved the materials only. but the installation still it is a dream for me and my family.
            DISH TV MAKING FRAUDE WITH ME. also they are lying in all the moments with some false commitment from their end. i donot know why they are saying themselve as the INDIA's NO 1 and how they become ASIA's LARGEST NETWORK....

              the
              customer and getting huge amount by charging subscription for HD chls.
              DISH TV is broadcasting HD chls from Chl number 1 to 99 as HD chls.
              Dishtv
              just put HD word in the chl EPG list, the broadcast is simply SD.
              Only few following chls are HD chls from the list of Chls from 1 to 100.
              The list of HD chls is
              1. colours
              2. Sony which was in SD till this month now from this month it is HDd
              3. Travel XP
              4. Discovery World
              5.Net GEO
              6. Net GEO Wild
              7. NGC Adventure
              8. CNBC Prime
              9. Sony SIX and
              10. M Tune
              Dish TV claim in thier promo that they provide more than 45 HD chls and
              according to that they charge subscription from the customers. I am
              sorry
              to say that even the chls being broadcasting by Z TV such as Z TV,Z
              Cinema,Z Prime, Z classics and other under bran name Zee are SD and they
              are charging for HD.
              Respected sir,Pl look in the matter and save the customer for being
              cheating by DISHTV.
              They provide only 10 (Ten) chls as HD and charging for more than 45
              Chls.
              Also i would like to draw your kind attention that, they are charging Rs
              560 /pm for 40 + HD and 275 + SD chl.
              Till 4th June LIFE OK was the part of SUPER HD Royal pck and suddenly
              without offering any other chls , they removed LIFE OK and put this chl
              under ala-carte,they neither reduced price of the pack nor offered
              others
              chl,means keeping same price of the pack the added burden on the
              customer
              to purchase ala-carte for LIFE OK----One more cheating.
              In past also they dis same thing when India was playing in India and
              only
              NEO was broadcasting Live, they removed the NEO pack from Royal HD pack
              w/o
              offering for neither price cut nor replacing NEO pack with other.
              Sir, pl look in the matter and pl prevent the right of the customer.

              Dish TV — Dish TV Cheating HD Customers

              Hi

              I pay for the HD pack and I am not able to see the Current India VS England Series in HD, Even though it is Available on Tata Sky and Videocon, they have terrible channels like ZEE TV and Colors in HD but not what is watchable on television, When I call the customer service all the guys know is that it is not available and they have no info when it will be available, if they want thier customers to move to tata sky or some one else then it's fine else they shld make few changes in your customer service.seems like it was a big mistake to get services from DISH TV rather than from TATAsky or Airtel.

                I am a consumer of DISH TV , according to offer for which I have received sms to my registered mobile bearing no [protected] that if i will recharge by rs 700, i will get one month extra as bonus and i have recharged on 30 or 31 May, 2012 but did not get one month extra, when i confirmed to customer service they informed me that i have only rs 35 and i have got a sms on 02/06/2012 from DISH TV to my mobile [protected] as "Dear subscriber, Congratulations! Your dishtv recharge entitles you to a discount voucher fr om GoIBIBO worth Rs. 1500. Voucher details will be sent shortly. TnC" but i did not get voucher details yet for this purpose customer care of dishtv, they informed me that it will be sent very soon but they didnot sent upto date,
                My complain is that why they are making fool of the public? if they will not satify me i and all my relative/friends will disconnect dishtv and get other coy.

                Dish TV — making me fool

                i purchaised dish connection on 27.01.2008. they told me that they will install whenever and where ever i want.m in Gurgaon and i filed complaint on 07.08.2008 for installation in customer care my complaint number is 14872265.they promise for 8 working days.but the connection is on hold even today.i am calling day by day but they are not responding.even now they cut my call in between or make some false promises.every time they for 24 hrs but every promise is fake.plz help me .now i want my money back with penalty.because i have suffered a lot for last one and half month.even my job is also suffering because of my stress.even if i says about consumer forum they ask me to go where ever i want.thanks
                I agree dish tv are the biggest fraud... i am suffering a lot... recently i am shifted form pune to bangalore and its been almost a month they have not done reinstallation... their customer care are the worst in this world... they have every dummest person in their call centre... i dont have words to express...i am feeling to throw the dish tv...

                    Dish TV — Customer service is very worst

                    Dish TV is a useless net work. Their customer service is very worst. They don't care to their customer. Each of their package is useless and they do not serve all on telecast and if you complaint to the customer care their reply keep on the TV and hang on 550 (Zee) channel for until your service get rectified. Every week end such type of problems rises and our week end we suffer without TV Chanel's.

                    dish TV is showing big big advertisement attracting customer through Shahruk Khan name and fame paying big amount on add but their technical and customer service teams were not serving well may be due to less payment. I feel just throw their box and get my previous cable connection again.

                    So, dear friends, please do not go fool on your self looking at DISH TV advertisement.

                    Thatmight be the case with you. But le me tell you dishtv is haveing the best packages and most economical packages when compared with other DTH players, further dishtv packages are well balanced and have all types of channels available in all packages. Like their platinum pack will have almost all the channels at only Rs.283+ tax. where as if you want the same set of channels on any other platform then you have to spend more then Rs.400.

                    Also Every body will have their own expererience with customer care might be you don't have very good exp. but mine is good with customer care they are good and polite and really tries to help you out.

                    Further you haven't mentioned about your problem here which you are facing with dishtv. but if their is any problem just write a mail for quick action on your complaint. email id is ; [protected]@dishtv.in

                    You are not wrong with your stand. Getting cheap packages doen't mean that you should suffer service.
                    DishTV customer service is cheap, pathetic and any number of negative adjectives you can attach. I'm having the problem of being unable to view any of the Free Channels since Installation. It's been 2 years now. I called customer care then the executive (so called) says that your dish antenna has got dust and needs to be cleaned.
                    To my surprise it was a very worst response. They are some which dishtv made them executives & pu to serve. They aren't even trained. They show attitude when their mistakes are corrected

                    If DishTV is continuing this attitude towards customers, its gonna suffer with the business & I think they SHOULD.
                    I share your grief totally.
                    Dish T.V is only intersted in fake publicity, but there is no service.
                    My set top box developed a fault, when I am asking for repair center, there answer is call our rep, and pay him Rs 175/- then he will give information. When I insisted on service center information, I was given two time wrong address and non working phone number.Third time I came to know that in entire Delhi there is only one repair center in Lawrence Road.and none in Ghaziabad. And H C L looks after their STB repair job.
                    Only thing Dish TV wants that we undertake yearly contact only then they will repair, other wise it is not possible to repair.
                    dishtv customer care number is not getting connected. I tried three numbers since yesterday and found all the numbers as rwong numbers or it is temporarily disconnected. Why do you bother the paid customers????

                        My DISHTV complaint number is 88336916, first/old vc no [protected], second/new vc no [protected].
                        it was a simple request to convert my second connection to multi connection. ideally it should have been on 24 th may12 after completion of the free period of my second connection, but due to reasons unknown it did not happen. few complaints n several phone calls later address verification was completed which was advised to be a must for the said multi connection conversion. I paid the required fee for that on 4th june, i was assured that now my new connection will be converted to multiconnection. i could not believe that today on 7th june12 my new connection was again blocked.. after speaking to CS i was once again assured that myproblem will be resolved within 24hrs. it was strange that within few hrs of registering the complaint i received a sms stating that problem has been resolved.. i again called customer service n had to narrate them the entire story from scratch! i was told to resend my new connection application form n add verification receipt...                           i had purchased dishtv in may 2011. it worked fine till yesterday and today its not working. when i call the customer service they say that the technician will visit my house and i have to pay charges. the warranty was for one year and as soon as the warranty expired the set top box died. this is a scam run by dishtv to take money out of customers. i think this is totally unacceptable. please help me. how do i file a case against dishtv?

                          Dishtv running scam in providing/replacing faulty equipment and then charging rs 200 per visit frequently as service charges. In sonipat, I have been charged three times Rs 200 on each occasion, total amount spent 600 and no slip or written document given as proof of gst or service tax paid to govt or not.

                          Daily from a city/district, if 100 such complaints of charges INR 200 is generated, the revenue becomes INR 20000/-(minimum) and then for all serviced area approx 1000 small cities/districts the revenue from forced customer in name of chargeable service wouldbe 20000 X 1000= 2 crore daily. No proof of service charges, no GST record for verification. Customer at mercy of Company. And now they are ruling like British trade company.

                            We have changed our old Dishtv connection (VC NO [protected]) set top box to HDMI Connection (VC NO [protected]) the connection is in my dads name Rauf Haji .... from Meltek Infosystem pvt ltd midc Kharadi Pune.
                            Issues -
                            We paid INR 2915, Meltek employee promised us 3 months free connection and will refund INR 600 to our dishtv account of which more 2 months free i.e total period of five months from 11 may 2012 to 11 Oct 2010 we dont need to recharge our account .
                            - Now we are getting message to recharge by 23 Jul 2012.
                            - Also since 28th May there is no transmission relay. Our TV is showing message, NO SIGNAL.
                            - When contacted the Meltek customer care, calls were forwarded to 12 people without any result, the call duration was 45 mins. They are not answering any query. This is pathetic from DishTV.

                            Dish TV — not providing us service as promised

                            hello,
                            i m using dish network from past 1 year. but there service is so poor that we are tired of them now.
                            its been more than 45 days i am not receiving star plus & sahara one signals properly.
                            i have complain them several of times, by telephnic conversations as well as mail to DISH NETWORK.com
                            but they are least bothered.

                            there is MR. SUNNY there who is sr supervisor, who has promised even that on priority basis my connection will be repaired. but nothing has been done.

                            they are doing this i feel intentionally coz of channels rivelry,
                            for sahara channels as well as star plus and sometimes with sony too.

                            please help us out
                            we are simply tired of complaining those people.

                            Dish TV — did not get service i was promised

                            i rescently changed from direct tv to dishand have several issues, the installer that came to my house was by himself and very slow, working through lunch making it inconvience for us to eat. next he gave us a telphone wire and said we had to connect it from dish box to telephone. i asked shouldnt you do that and he said no and that it would cost me $5.00 a month untill it was hooked up.also when i called and asked that i be billed as aposed to taking out of my credit card the person in billing said i would loose my stars and showtime that was supposed to be free. also when i talked to salesman to sighn up part of deal was that i would get all braves channels that i had with direct, i am not getting peach tree tv that i did with direct. and have already missed several games. there are a couple of games this week that i will miss unless you start that channel for me. at this time i am very dissatisfied with service. i was a customer of direct for over eight years and very happy with them except for no local channels. i will make a good customer with dish if i get results from this letter. please call me or contact me asap and get all of this cleared up. frankie spurlock hm ph#[protected] cell 326-9666

                              I Rakesh Sharma ( VC No. [protected])have lodged complaint with customercare of DishTV @ [protected] that most of the channels are not available. The executive asked me to explain the details and I checked as per his instructions, and told that out of 15 TP only 3 are giving green indication and rest 12 are red. He said you need allignment ( complaint No. 87448875 dated 21 May'12). He said it is within warranty, no charges to be paid to DishTv representative and within 24 hrs , the reported issue will be resolved.

                              Mr Sunil from Mobile No. [protected] called me and asked that I will be charged with Rs 200//, I refused since I was told by customer care executive that it will be free of cost. Nobody turned up.

                              Again I called customer care on 23 May'12 and lodged complaint vide 87586826, told him the above story, he said within 24 hrs, issue will be resolved.

                              Again I called customercare on 25 May'12 , but to no avail.

                              28 May'12, I have sent email escalation, no avail.
                              Today on 29 May'12, I again called customer care, spoken to Ms Roshni, who is senior person, told her whole story. I got a call from Mr Sunil whose contact No is mentioned above, he is again asking for Rs 200//. I refused.

                              Need your intervention please to relieve me from this harassment.

                                  This is to bring in your concern that I Jaspal singh Gandhi, had purchased a Dish TV from your Dealer at Jamshedpur. He told me that today is HD day and company had given offer to new customer of free HD channels for 1 month, I enquired him that what would be the minimum pack that I would recharge of, he replied that I can recharge with minimum RS 180 Pack, so after that i purchased the set top box.
                                  But yesterday I went to recharge with the RS 180 Pack, the Dealer says that Rs 180 pack would not be recharged in my set top box , the minimum recharge would be of RS 375.
                                  This is really a cheating to sell the products, it do not suits the standards of India’s no 1 DTH service provider. Kindly take this matter seriously, and try to resolve the issue, as this is clearly a case of fraud. Waiting for an early and positive reply.

                                    How much payment have you done and what are packs you have activated. I mean did you subscribed for any additional addon pack from that amount or not. becaus eif you have taken any add-on pack then the price of that pack will be deducted from your account.

                                    Also have you done the paymnet by yourself or through any dealer, if through any dealer then i wouls suggest first contact that dealer and check with them whether he had made the complete payment or not.

                                    I am a dish tv customer & have the following complaints agst them.
                                    They do nto have any escalation procedure on site & the service response of call centre executives is pathetic.
                                    I had paid my renewal chgs on 23.11.2008 for a month, hence my renewal date should be 23.12.2008, however due to some problem in their system the date is showing as 3.12.2008.

                                    I noticed this & have called them since 27.11.2008, on a daily basis & was assured that my services will nto be discontinued on 3.12.2008, however to my surprise this has been done.

                                    Please help me.

                                    Gave Rs 4000/- to the dealer for renewal of existing package .According to Dish TV dealer has sent only 3500/- rs so without even taking our permission the package was changed to basic package.earlier Marathi Package was changed to Punjabi.Even after taking charges from us for Channels like Sony/Star we are unable to view the same.When asked for refund the company Straightforward refused to repay back the money and for past 4 days they have just been saying your complaint is forwarded and it will be resolved within 4-24 hrs.

                                    The dealer Kaushik enterprises is so arrogant that openly he says go to consumer forum if you want to and that he does not believe in same and no one can take action against him.

                                    my v.c.no is [protected] . I wanted to downgrade my package from platinum to silversaver. but after seven calls in two days the answer is same,the system is on updation. this is the service ever seen from callcertres. so pls dont buy DISHTV
                                    The Dishtv is not working from the past 4 days at my home. Have given several calls to the customer call center, but everytime they register the complain and no action is taken against it.
                                    Also, when the engineer is asked to come home to repair the dishtv, he says, "I cannot come, your home is far".
                                    The worst customer service ever faced in my life.

                                    DishTV — Worst customer service

                                    I was using Dish Tv from 5 years and from my experience, its the worst DTH service provider in India.

                                    If someone looking out to choose between Dishtv and other DTH providers like Airtel, Big TV,
                                    Tata Sky or Videocon DTH. You better buy any other DTH service except Dish TV.

                                    The worst and pathetic customer service, though in India we don’t have terms like cc but they are more than that.

                                    Some of the major reasons of writing about Dishtv are given below :

                                    1. The software and UI of setbox is laggy as always. The loading time is not at par as comparable to other DTH specially Airtel.

                                    2. Dish TV released a new software which is not available for old customers like me.

                                    3. They want me to pay 350bucks plus tax to swap the DTH, 150bucks plus tax for the agent who will come to my place for box swap. Why would I give them my working old STB lol crazy policies.

                                    4. They increased the platinum package to 350rs and the 1 year package will change as per the new terms.

                                    5. They removed the ten sports in platinum package and added it as a a la carte package.

                                    I don’t mind paying few extra bucks to other service provider when I get peace of mind while watching tv.

                                    My personal suggestion to all the new DTH users, please save yourself some time and don’t buy dishtv. After using dishtv from 5years, I must say what I was missing while not using other DTH services.
                                    Dish TV executive to save there SLA they will close the request without solving the issue .. what a great service .. and no one monitor this .. this happen with me twice ..

                                    on march 2010 i was having issue with setup box (reference is 40363807.) and which take one month to resolve anyway get a waver for a month.

                                    And again on 7th April 2011 i have requested for reinstallation of setup box (Request no[protected]. today (10-May-2011) i came to know that my Request has been closed on 13th APRIL without solving the issue and without my knowledge. that was for reinstalling Setup box and the service was chargable 150/- but till now no one come to my place for the same.

                                    I am surprised who your executive close the issue whitout solving and no one there to monitor the case ..

                                    HOW YOU CAN BE SO CARELESS IF YOU CALL YOUR SELF TO BE NO.1 DTH COMPANY ..

                                    can you please explain me why it is closed ??
                                    and i need a valid point - why should i use Dish TV .

                                      i have received the call from [protected] on 26/4/2012 at 7:30 A.M.He told me that he is calling from Dish tv Singapore and my number is selected for 25 lac prize gave me number [protected] for further details and for collecting the cash.He told me that my coupon number is 1015.But i have doubt on them as the are speaking Hindi from Singapore so i searched about this on net and i find out that this fake call from Pakistan.
                                      Be aware of this type of calls.

                                        I had subscribed on the 18/03/2012 was unable to view the channels of my choice for around 2 weeks even after paying Rs. 110/- to the technicians who installed the DISH at my house. After a couple of days when I realised that I am unable to view the channels I paid for, I called the customer care number.
                                        The first time I spoke to a supervisor named ALI who asked to me write a mail and mentioned that he will lodge a complaint on my behalf. He also promised to investigate the same with the back end team. The second time I called, I spoke with Aniket who informed me that there is no record of my complaint. Aniket offered me a call back the next day which he did not honour. I called again and he said that he will try and help me. However, after few hours he called me back to request me to write in a complaint to their customer service mailbox. I did so and received a response which was not related to my query at all.

                                        So, I took the time to speak to the local DISHTV office (Manik communications) who acknowledged the fact only after I called to check on the same. I was informed that they will mark a mail to get my package activated which was no done.
                                        So I continuously kept following up with the Local DISHTV office who finally activated my services on the 25th of March. However, this was done by deducting my Monthly subscription. I was unaware of this fact until I got a call to renew my subscription on the 5th of April. I again tried speaking with customer care who directed me to the mailbox. I found this completely useless and hence visited the office to sort the issue. I spoke to the technician who confessed that he had not update my payments on my DISHTV account. I collected my receipt and sent it to the customer care mailbox demanding a compensation since the whole issue had caused me a lot of trouble and money to make calls/visit the office.

                                        Surprisingly in response to complaint I received a response which again was not related to my query. I called the customer care again and escalated the issue to senior management. Since then they have either been saying no to my compensation request or just promising me a call back and not honouring the same.

                                        I want DISHTV to apologise for the inconvenience they have caused and compensate me suitably.
