Dear Sir/Madam,
I introduce myself as an existing customer of DishTV with VC no-[protected] and booked a second connection through online to be installed at Jaipur..

Coupon No-HO-01/11/11RIL-69979
Amount Paid-Rs 999/-
Connection booking date-01/11/11
Preferred delievery date-06/11/2011

As this new connection is meant for my senior citizen parents at jaipur and supposed to be delieverd on 06/11/2011..At the time of writing this mail we are yet to receive even connection hardware..

I have already lodged a complaint no 2021881 on 06/11/2011 but to no awail..Enough time gap was available between connection booking date and delievery date..

As I am an existing customer and thought of advising my parents about Dish TV only but experience so far is totally sad..Seems company is least bothered about new sale..

Kindly solve on urgent basis..

    Dear Sir,
    I took Dish TV DTH connection during Diwali 2010.During Diwali period to attract customers they gave a offer known as Cash Back offer. In this offer they were to give @ Rs.15/- to RS.30/- per month recharge voucher for 12 months. Every time to get benefit either SMS them or call to their customer care. My experience with them in this regard is very bad. Every time i had to send at least 4/5 mails to get benefit. In month of May 2011 they gave one offer pay two months subscription & get one month higher pack free for one month. I had paid on 22nd May 2011 for two months & got one months higher free plus Rs.30/-(@Rs15/-PM)credit also. This time I paid I paid same way for two months subscription, they activated higher pack for one month but thy are not giving me credit of Rs.30/-(@RS.15/-PM). This time they are saying that two offers can’t clubbed.
    Here I would like to mention that two offers are not being clubbed. Only one offer is taken ie pay for two months subscription & get one month higher free. Where as the other one is not a offer it was a commitment given at the time of giving connection. I took connection only because this commitment was given. If this would not been given I would have not their connection. I could taken some other connection. This shows they have miss leaded the consumers during Diwali offering the scheme.
    Secondly if i wish to discontinue their services my money which I have paid towards dish & setup box will go waste as it can’t be used for other service provider’s services & I will have to buy one more dish as well as setup box also. To the best of my knowledge same dish & setup box should be useable for any service provider’s services that of mobile phone.
    They are showing rules that two offers can’t be clubbed but they taking responsibility of giving uninterrupted signal. This being monsoon I do not get signal even during little rains. In reply to my complaint they said that they can’t do any thing to it.
    Please let me know what should I do? Should I keep tolerating or you will take some action. If you are not in position to take any action against Dish TV I will have take this matter to consumer forum.

      Dear Sir,

      I've been a customer of DishTV since Feb, 2011 (VC - [protected]). Ever since I've taken the connection, I'm not satisfied with their service. I was always having some problem or the other with DishTV and had to call up their customer care. But since September, 2011 these problem are really getting worse. In between for few months I was not using DishTV for some months. In September I asked them for re-installation of the antenna. A technician arrived at my home and installed the antenna and asked me to recharge my account to get all the channels.

      On Sept 14, 2011 I recharged my DishTV with HD PREMIERE pack. Most of the channels were not coming. So I raised a complaint with DishTV again. They sent a technician who notified me that the problem is with the STB, which he needs to check in his office. He had taken my STB on 15th Sept and returned the STB on 19th Sept only after a lot of mails, complaints and calls from me, even though nothing was fixed at the STB. Then they informed me that the problem is with the antenna and I need to replace the antenna, which will cost me. When I refused to replace the antenna and told them I'll change my connection to some other provider, they fixed something in my antenna and I started getting the channels on Sept 24, 2011.

      On Oct 8, 2011 I changed my house and again called up DishTV for re-installation of the antenna to my new location. I had uninstalled the antenna on my own. On Oct 8, 2011 when the technician came, he informed me I didnt bring some hinges from my old location for which they'll charge me again. I agreed to pay for it. Then he refused to connect the antenna through the internal wiring of the house claiming DishTV never do that and insisted to bring in the cable through the window. After yet another heated discussion between me and his seniors at the agency, they connected the antenna through the internal wiring of the house on Oct 9, 2011.

      On Oct 9, 2011 after he installed the antenna, I checked that most of the channels were coming but some channels were not coming. Again he re-aligned the antenna and came to me and asked to check quickly as he's getting late for another appointment. I checked the channels which were not coming and paid him. Later on I realized that some channels which were coming earlier (like Sony on 105) were altogether missing from the channel list. I again sent SMS to DishTV Customer Care to call me back. I did not get any response from DishTV.

      On Oct 13, 2011 I mailed DishTV about my problem. DishTV asked me to revert back with an alternate number as my previously mentioned number does not exist. Just a week back I was getting calls from DishTV and now somehow my the number in their record becomes un-contactable and does not exist.

      On Oct 16, 2011 I updated my number again with DishTV and even gave them an alternate number of my neighbour . After that DishTV informed me that both numbers are in DND list and also to specify the exact error that is displayed on the screen. I informed them that no error is displayed, in fact the channel itself is missing from the list. Then they replied back saying since both the numbers are registered in DND list they cannot call back according the TRAI guidelines. Just 10 days back they were able to call me and also I've given a written permission to them in mail to call me, but still they cant call me back.

      On Oct 19, 2011 I recharged my DishTV with HD PREMIERE pack again. After I recharged my account most of my channels have stopped coming. Now I get only about 10 channels. Acording to DishTV guideline I sent SMS (STOP DND) to 1909 too to remove my number from DND list. Still DishTV is not able to contact me.

      On Oct 20, 2011 DishTV informed me that they are unable to troubleshoot the problem for the VC - [protected] and gave me an alternate Customer Care number on which I can call and contact them directly. When I called up their Customer Care, they informed me that there might be alignment problem in the antenna and a visit by a technician will cost me Rs. 150/-. I've got this antenna installed 10-12 days back and since then I'm writing to DishTV about my problem. Still I was getting most of the channels. On Wednesday, Cot 19, 2011 after I recharged my account, I stopped getting almost all the channels. Long back I remembered when I had such problem they refreshed my account and I started getting the channels. The representative didnt even cared to check anything from his side.

      I really regret taking DishTV connection and now I no longer have the patience to deal with the DishTV Customer Care.

      Dish TV — Most of the new Channel missing.

      Hi,

      I am using the Dish TV services for last 2 or 3 years. But now I am facing some problem with it. Most of the new channel are not available on the dish tv platform like - Colors, UTV Movies, Firnagi. When I call them for the status of these channels to the customer care they say the company is talking to the channel and may take some time. But its been more then three months they are not able to provide the new channel. All these channel are available to the other DTH provider. So why should I use dish tv services.

      In this scenario can I get my money back which I given at the time of purchase.

          I am a custemer of dish tv , when i went to recharge my dish tv account ,Shop person recharged some other account & i talked to custemer care of dish tv , they are demanding several things, i gave all information to them, after collecting information from shop person but they are not solving my problem, this custemer care service of DISH TV is not custemer care service, it is a custmer careless service.

              I am really amazed from the response from you.
              Thanks for prompt reply.But I am really very surprised.This is how you People rob the hard earn money.
              I am attaching the mini statement of my account and message after transaction.
              My bank account number is [protected].See highlighted with clouded area with 999.00 transaction.
              My token number generated during online purchase was TOKEN number 65635.
              Later I talk to your help line[protected] and she told that
              she will call me within 2 hours and gave me another TOKEN number 2008415.

              There is no response.I am really worried.Please resolved the issues urgently other wise

                Sir, Iam an existing customer of dish tv DTH.I have activated a paid channel on April2010.that channil is at channel no:731.after 1 month I send sms to delete this channel.but there was no response from customer centre.after that also for last 1year i continue to send lots of sms to the customer care at57575to deactivate channel 731.But to my surprise they were simply ignoring it and continuing cutting money from my account.At last durin aug2011 customer care assures me to deactivate channel on 14 sep2011which also they fail to fulfil.I request you to please look into the matter at the earliest so that I can switch over to any good reliable other DTH services if my problem not heard by you

                    I was using a dish tv connection(VC No:[protected]) six months before, then changed to another operator because of the poor customer care service. After six months i have received a call from dish tv saying that i will be offered south platinum pack at a 50% offer, if i recharge with Rs.2100. I confirmed this offer by
                    (i)sending a email to the dish tv customer care; the reply from the customer care assured that i am eligible for the offer.
                    (ii) i have called the customer care number [protected]; and the customer care executive assured that i am eligible for the offer once i recharge with Rs.2100.
                    After confirming two times i recharged my account with Rs.2100.
                    ALAS! Now the customer executives says that i am not eligible for that offer. Please don't fall prey to the calls from the Dish tv. GOD..... please punish the dish tv and its customer care executives if you are existing!!!

                      Dish tv customer care never degrade package. Dish tv wants to collect as much as possible from their subscribers. If you really want to degrade package it may not be possible, you just please go for another operator.

                        DishTV services are pathetic and not at all responded well comapared to other service providers. The packages are just JUNK which people wont get much channels necessary for the people(all junk channels which are not required will be there). I could also see that SPORTS package which was coming in the Base Package now they made a statement saying "you can see only If india plays" what a rediculous statement it is. Is that you should not see other than India matches. Day by day i could also see channels are being moved from packages to ala-cartes just put burden on the customers and making money out of this. This has become a money making business rather than providing quality to the customers. Its totally going against the customer's wish. They are just looting the people's money by moving all necessary channels to ala-carte. So PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM DISHTV better to go for other.

                            This is keep you inform that in dishtv I am not satisfied because I recharge the Dish tv on 31-Aug-11 but its showing next recharge is 28-sep-11 (Only 28 Days) I already compliant in Dishtv but my problem is not rectified check urgent and revert the mail .

                            Note: I get the Cal from Dishtv on 12-Sep he told 30th sep is your renewal Date but still my Problem is rectified. Otherwise I changed to some other network like Airtel or Tata Sky

                              Hello Sir,

                              This is to inform u that I have raised a complaint with DishTV in regards to removal of the channels from the package. I have spoken with there executive and they suggested that its there policy where they can add and remove the channels as they like, I am OK with it but I asked u should have informed us while adding and removal. They told they have sent msgs to the cell number registered, but I have nvr rcvd. They have removed the main channels like ESPN, Star sports, Star Cricket, etc from the package. But when I checked the website >http://www.dishtv.in/gold-cricket.aspx< it was showing the channels which were not been removed till date also and this the only medium where a customer can know about any updates. When I asked the same question to there customer executive they told if it has not been done will applied very soon. My question remains the same if I have paid for a service called GOLD CRICKET PACK, how can they remove the important channels and that to when the India and England matches are broadcasted to these channels. And they are forcing us to buy a different package (A-la-carte) to view those channels agn. Means we have to pay twice for the same service.

                              These is not acceptable. Please look into it.

                                We are availing the Platinum Pack of Dish TV and the pack is active till Dec 22, 2011. Our VC no - [protected]. Since about 17th Aug. a big message icon is appearing at the top (centre position) of the TV screen. Numerous calls to Dish TV Customer Care and the solutions suggested by them have proven to be fruitless. Finally yesterday I was advised by Dish TV to take my set top box to the Dish TV Service Centre. The service centre technicians also tried their very best (they kept the set top box with them for one full day) but they also failed to remove the icon. Finally, today (05.09.2011) I brought the set top box back and again called the Dish TV customer care. This time one Mr Pankaj told me that the problem is with the alignment of the antenna. A technician would come and I would have to bear his service charge of Rs 150 plus travelling expenses. I called Dish TV back and said that if the alignment problem is there with my antenna how come the problem was there at the service centre too? Was the antenna there also having alignment problem. To this they replied that the problem can only be looked into by their technician. To this I agreed but refused to bear any expense. My stand is that the message has been sent by the Dish TV server and not by the customer. Then should the customer bear the exense for its removal or is it the duty of Dish TV to solve the problem at their end? Obviously the icon is very irritating and disturbs TV viewing. Dish TV is charging enormous amount for viewing its DTH. Has the customer paid to view the channels or the very very distrubing and irritating big message icon?

                                  DISH TV is creating some sort of a record in shoddy service. I have as connection for he pas 10 years at the following address:

                                  1306 secto 37, Faidabad 121003,

                                  And have had the mos atrocious service. In oct 210 my set up box was changed, and I have been supplied a repaired set up box with a stated guarantee of 30 days,

                                  In dec 2010 around the 19th dec again the set up box gave problems. We took up the matter again with stated senior mangers, but still had to pay for a new set up box.

                                  Yestrday, the 3rdJan it is defective again. Is DISH TV going to work on repaired and re cycled products. I would like this to be attended to day and would like to amplify this in the media. Would you like to respond ????

                                      My story is, I subscribed Platinum pack around Feb 2011 because certain channels were available like Star Sports, ESPN and Star Cricket. I paid one year subscription amount in advance assuming that i will be getting all channels available at the time of re-charge will be available to me through out my 12 months subscription. I was wrong and all of a sudden today Star channels like Start Sports, Star Cricket and ESPN were removed from my subscription by DishTV.

                                      I called up customer care to know what happened, they informed me that as per marketing policies these three channels are now removed from platinum package. Well they have all rights to make whatever policies they want but shouldn't that be applied to new subscription????When I opted for package i was told these all channels you will get till your subscription ends, now it's like they are saying we can change anything we want, it was your fault that you subscribed for a year. We fooled you last time when we offered you deal for a year now we are fooling you again by removing your Favorite channels without any information and asking you to please pay extra to get your favorite channels. To me this sounds like a cheating......

                                      Will DishTV refund my money because they are not providing services which they charged me for???? So give me back my money for the remaining subscription period because now i don't want to go for Platinum pack. DishTV won't do that!!!!!

                                      we are recharging regularly but the retailer doesn't shows the channels properly and so kindly take an action for this as soon as possible

                                      Totally agree with u Tarun, this is cheating!!!
                                      I dont know how many customers are delighted by this move from them.
                                      As if they ever consulted the customers before deciding to supposedly "upgrade"
                                      our platinum pack!
                                      I have only opted for dish because their sports package with ESS and Ten Action was perfect for my viewing patterns...Even i have made a one time payment based on this package...If they change this THERE IS NO REASON FOR ME TO CONTINUE WITH DISH!!!
                                      Dear dish tv, don't bother upgrading us, if this is what you call an upgrade!!!

                                        Inspite of several request since last six months the dish tv company has not refunding the security deposit of the old set top box which was submitted to the dealer of the dish tv at Vadodara. Old V.C.number is [protected] Handed over to the dealer on 06.12.2010 Refund should be remitted within 45 days. Dealer says they have sent old set top box to dish tv but till date refund cheque not received. Dealer says the customer should contact distv Noida and if the customer calling Noida distv office they are not responsing properly. This is the drama going on since six months. My request is dish tv should take immediate action for refund of money as per terms and conditions for old set top box and not to make harrassment to the consumer who is using the distv services since last six years.

                                        I have handed over old set top box to the dealer of dish tv in Vadodara and got new connection and set top box. As per terms and condition i can get security deposit of old set top box. I am having dish tv for the past 7. I have submitted Rs.100 to the dealer (Shiv Service[protected] towards courier charges for sending the set top box to dish tv. Till date i have not received the money from dish tv. I have made chasing several time with old dealer shiv services and also with new dealer High Tech services in Baroda. Also I requested Noida centre do to need full in this matter but no fruitful result arrived. Pl. arrange to return the security deposit as per terms and conditions without further delay
                                        I have lodged complaint through this web site today on 07.08.2011. In this connection I am submitting the dish tv connection Number [protected] (new set top box). The receipt issued by M/sESSEL AGRO (P) Ltd, New Delhi is 301266 dated 25.10.2005 (for old set top connection) for which refund is awaited still from 06.12.2010
                                        Why returned to set top box to dealer. Please give the correct answer
