I took Dish TV on 18/06/2012 (Viewing Card No. [protected], SAF No.[protected].
I made a payment of Rs.1625, for the equipment and installation.
As a part of an offer by Dish TV, I was given all the channels free for the two months, and later I could choose any available package of my choice.
Just after installation the technician asked me to pay him Rs. 100 to get all
English channels. I refused to pay as he was not ready to give receipt for the
money asked.
Now, just after two days, I see all the English channels like HBO, Star Movies etc, are missing. I spent Rs.37 + Rs. 48 = Rs. 85(2 instances), on phone to
contact customer service, but was told there system is down so they cannot do
anything in this regards. When I requested to cancel the connection and return
the money, as per consumer law. I was told there's no cancellation department,
however before going to police or court I can write an e-mail.
I am really not sure whats going on, if I have been cheated by the reseller or the technician or by Dish TV, but one thing I know I have been deceived.
After a series of mail to Dish TV customer service, I have been told they are happy to cancel my account but they don't refund any money.
As per consumer law I have right to return the goods bought within a weeks time, but these people consider themselves above the law of
the land. They are open to challenge the law and told to do whatever I could to get the money.
Hope, someone would read this mail and will take appropriate steps.

Dish TV — Renewal of Connection
Reference my dish connection it is not working due to non payment of Dish TV. I had made the payment on 25/12/2008 Rs. 600/- to Dish TV by ITZ CASH CARD. At the time of payment the shopkeeper also give me order no.[protected].I had talked "N" no of times in customer care and convey him that I had made the Rs. 600/- payment on 25/12/08, he was unable to tell me where is my payment had gone.
Lastly I went to DISH TV Office and convey the complete message in the front of customer care, she assured me that your payment will be come in to your account and your account will be activated, but after 4 days i have no receive any positive feed, so I again called up to know the feedback, at that time she told me that it was the activation charges for child connection to independent connection. When I said that you provide me in written then she refused to give me in written.
The Truth is that they don't know where my payment had gone. At last I closed my connection and switch over to AIRTEL.
