[Resolved]  Flipkart.com — Please help!! fraud by online shopping website (flipkart.com)!

I purchased a samsung laptop (Model np300v5a-s0cin) from flipkart.com on 7th of february against order number od[protected] for an amount of rs. 39990/-. The laptop was shipped promptly by them using some company named ekart logistics against tracking id dx24795696 and the package was delivered on 9th of february at 7:00 pm and my wife had received the package.

Upon reaching home at 9:45 pm of 9th feb, i felt that the package is fairly light and upon opening the package, i found that there is no laptop inside the package. There was a samsung box inside a flipkart carton, and the samsung box was having the packing materials, a disk and some user manuals, a small brown box and an invoice from flipkart, however, there was no laptop or the charger for the laptop inside that box.

I immediately called flipkart customer support at their customer support number[protected] and lodged a complaint against a reference number[protected]. I was promised a callback within 24 to 48 hours. I kept on chasing it up again and again and on 11th feb, i received a call from some escalation department of flipkart telling me that they are still investigating and need more time to fix this up. They promised a call within next 24 to 48 hours. There on again, i kept on chasing this up with them time and again, but to no avail. They kept on promising of times when they would call, however no body called. Yesterday i was promised of a call by 1 pm, however, again nobody called. I called them back at 1:10 pm and upon a lot on efforts, spoke to shankar from escalation team, who promised me a resolution by 7 pm. Shankar called me at around 5:30 pm and told me that the courier company has confirmed that the laptop was delivered.

I told him that the courier company delivered the package, however to no avail. They did not listen to me at all. This seems like i have been cheated. That too at hands of such a reputed online sales portal. I cant run around to consumer courts and wait years for having this issue resolved, however, the amount in question i.E. Rs. 39990/- is not that trivial that i would be able to leave this and live with a light head here on. I have made purchases from various online stores in past, have received duplicate products, broken/damaged products or lost shipments and these concerns were addressed pretty promptly by the respective companies. However, this incident has left me shattered to an extent that i would never be able to trust an online retail store to place an order.

It seems like, flipkart, like most other systems that we have seen, is good only till the time everything goes as expected, however, should there be a need to redress the issues, there is nothing that they would do to set things right. I went to the extent of writing a message to sandeep bansal (Md of flipkart.com) and received no response from him either.

I understand that this might be a small case that has come forward to this forum, however, means a lot to me as this amount in question is something that i have worked very hard to earn. I would appreciate any assistance that i would receive via this forum.

FRAUD COMPANY : FLIPKART and EKART LOGISTICS
i've been dealing with flipkart for a while now and all was smooth. I decided to buy a Canon EOS camera through them, since it was being offered at a 40% discount. When i got the package, i saw that the import date was Oct 2012. I immediately called them and intimated them about the same. I asked them to either refund the money or send me a newer piece. I was ok even if they retained the money, so i could buy something else from their site. The first customer care executive assured me that he would see if they could deliver a later model and if not possible, he'll put the money in my wallet for me to make some other purchase. Immediately the next day, i receive another mail intimating that the replacement had been shipped. I was expecting a newer model, but to my dismay i again got a model imported in Oct 2012. When i called them again, they didn't call back for 3 days. Upon calling them again, the next day i got a call from their support. The person intimated me that canon has stopped manufacturing this in 2012 and this is what i'll get even if i go to the market. I was a bit surprised and asked him if he was sure and he was very confident. I told him that this information should clearly be indicated on their website then. Nobody wants to buy an old product after paying money. I again asked him to take the product back and put the the money in my flipkart wallet, to which he refused. I told him i intend to take the case to the consumer court and that i want a mail from him in writing. I'm waiting for that mail, pending which i intend to go to the consumer court and sort out this case which is clearly cheating, since nothing about the import date is mentioned. AGain the dealer here is WS Retail. I am very disappointed with this experience from flipkart.

so be careful buyers when you buy stuff from WS Retail. You might be getting an old product, which you never wanted in the first place.

I ordered an Item from Flipkart and my order id is OD[protected].When I track my order it says product is out to deliver through ekart logistics. And I have received the SMS on my mobile mentioning "shipment delivered" when i called up MR Manjunath from flipkart, they told it is by mistake they updated the status and by 7 PM it will be delivered, No surprises!!! it was not delivered, again when contacted, their saying is the courier co., ekart update was "COULD NOT DELIVER BECAUSE OF NO RESPONSE ". This is from flipkart and ekart.These service is horrible.No one either from flipkart or ekart called me and they updated saying no response.

They sent SMS "Shipment delivered and How come they update the status like " No response" this without even calling???I wanted to escalate this issue to higher officials but that suprevisor was already on other escalated call which did not end even after 30 mins, this is all a cock and bull story from flipkart. unfortunately I could not find any contact no. for ekart logistics and when I checked with flipkart they say they cannot provide the contact details of ekart.

This seems to be fraud. Lucky for me " I had ordered it CASH ON DELIVERY.

4th july 2014 flipcart delevery dipartment ask me 1000/- comission for my fone delivery. 5th july they ask 2000/- & today 6th july again flipcart delevery dipartment ask me 4000/-, on my order no OD[protected], ... & flipcart delevery department told me if i not give delevery commision then they damage my fone & change the fone battery charger headfone etc. & you can t nothing .

Hi, eCart is part Flipkart's only, I'm shocked after reading the incident happened with you. I'm a regular customer of Flipkart. Now I am forced to think again again and again before buying any costly product from Flipkart. I hope your problem will get resolved.
I am a Flipkart customer since the time it merged with LetsBuy.com, I always had a very good experience and even my friends order their items through this portal, everything has always been as expected.
If you get a faulty product, they definitely replace it for you if it is within replacement guarantee period, and that's too at the right time.
I don't know how yoù guys have had such a bad experience!

I ordered and Item from Flipkart and my order id is OD[protected] (1 Item).When I track my order it says product is out to deliver through ekart logistics.And yesterday they updated the status saying "COULD NIT DELIVER BECAUSE OF NO RESPONSE ". This is too bad from flipkart and ekart even.These service is horrible.No one from either flipkart or ekart called me yesterday and they updated saying no response.
They don't even care even if we tell to Customer team.

I have faced similar experiences of the original poster. Flipkart shipped me a wrong product. Instead of a laptop, I was shipped with a toy. Order ID#OD[protected]. It is been 10 days and endless follow ups and I have not seen the light at the end of the tunnel. They sent their representatives to physically take a look at what was delivered and took photographs. But, no updates from their end and when I call their customer service I get a lame apology but no useful information. There is absolutely no escalation matrix. No supervisor to talk to other than the customer service personnel. I am now exploring other options to get my issue resolved.

This is not worth the pain. Am very disappointed.
I am from chennai and i could see my order OD[protected] is in transit to Padi hub, is there a way i could contact them and collect it for faster process. I cant wait to get my hands on my graphic card smile emoticon...
It is the fact that flipcart provides the great deals. But their courier service, especially ekart is the worst, i have ever experienced. Whatever this courier service is full of faults. Let me give some examples:
1)the time that is taken by it, is really irritating.
Ekart is taking about 3-4 days to deliver products from kolkata to burdwan (distance-92 kms).Whereas any other co. Like, “bluedart”,
“feedex” take 1 day only.
2)the updates are also given by a span of about 24 hrs.!!!
3)if you have to replace or, refund your product, you are going to experience the worst, i make you sure.
4)and what's more it has no self contact no. And you have to get touch with them, you have to do this via flipkart!!! and that is of no use...


I am a regular online shopper. And i have experienced amazon, snapdeal, ebay, shopclues, yeepme, a2z, and others also...But the worst experience i got from “ask me bazar” where i was given a duplicate product... And it is now with ekart with their delivery problems...
Now a days Flipkart cheats customers frequently .
I ordered a redmi 2 mobile phone from flipkart online, and when it was delivered 2 days back on 25 feb 2016 i found out that it does not catches signal of telecom provider, i tried changing sim cards, but the issue remains, there is no signal problem around my house on my other mobiles, since day one i have been contacting flipkart for replacement of the phone but they have told me me that it is not possible .
