[Resolved]  Godrej Interio Slimline Wardrobe — Rust on side wall of almirah

I am purchasing slimline on end of january-2009 from your Park st. Branch kolkata, for my sister,, since july i see rust on side wall of almirah...i just ignored...but rust problem rapidly increased...
on 4th december i complain ref.no.420420 no complain attend from your site...again on12th december i complain ref.no.420920 still no complain attend....please rectified my problem as early as possible.

The GODREJ is A reputed company & you must call dealer who can solve your problem without any further delay
my experence is under I have purchased one filling cabinet for my office purpose after some day the filling cabinet having some drawer problem & I called the local distibutor M/s Kothari G F solapur near pune who is given quick service.
Now I m satisfied the product.
So call your dealer
Godrej is a reputed company? Well even I thought the same till 2 months back, But well Godrej is no longer a reputed company .. Its a Company filled with arrogant crooks... Once they have your money they care a damn for you... There is NO after sales service and NO customer support. I have purchased a Nile recliner for about Rs 16, 000 and just within 7 months the stitching came out and when I tried to lodge a complaint there was no one to address the issue... Finally after several calls and visits they sent their Guy who after examining the recliner said that the upper leather cushion will be replaced free of costs... I asked this guy if I had to pay any cash for his visit and he said NO.. I even offered him Rs 50 so he would get things done fast...but he didn't take it ... Anyway after 5 days I get a call from Godrej and some Rude Arrogant and Stupid Guy who doesn't even know how to talk to customers says that this problem was not covered under warranty since it was an upholstery issue .. (wow stitches coming out is an upholstery issue?) Its just a sign of POOR quality and third grade materials used .. (Godrej probably sources all these Cheap quality stuff from China and sells it under its label)

This Person further went on to say that I didn't pay the guy who had visited Rs 250 Visiting charges ..that is when I lost it and gave him some piece of my mind .. Telling him that if a person who can buy a product worth Rs16000 would have no problem paying Rs250 visiting charges and also told him that I did offer this guy money which he refused... I further told him that this was not an upholstery issue but an issue of Cheap materials used because of which the stitches had come out in just 6 to 7 months .. I believe this person understood that I wont take this lying down and asked me to contact one Mr Vispy at Vikhroli who was the head of Godrej Interio Dept...

Anyway Its been 2 months now and still this problem hasnt been taken care of by Godrej, I have finally decided to lodge a Complaint with the consumer court and get this issue settled plus get compensated for 2 months of frustration, Godrej will have to pay a good price for this callous and unethical attitude it has towards its customers.

So.. Do yourself some favour and dont purchase any Godrej product .. coz you will be completely frustrated because of the quality and the after sales service... Godrej is no longer the Godrej it used to be ... It has completely gone to the DOGS!
Just dont trust once a company becomes big. You cant fight and you cant take it lying down. More than 30 years of trust for locks, refrigerators, and air conditioners, has been shattered once I started recommending GODREJ INTERIO furniture specially the kitchen cabinets, and slim line wardrobes. Hope their COO an expert in ECR from Godrej and Boyce takes note of this. Finally I would say look skywards and hope things go straight.
I repeat my comments mentioned above on March 22nd 2011. Even till today the complaints lodged at your Hyderabad showroom are not completely rectified at my site. If this is the plight of a customer with Rs. 10/- lakhs single order and fully paid before delivery, I can imagine the small retail customers. This complaint cell, I feel is surely a waste of time as it appears not to solve any problem because the COO and other top brass of the company just dont care for after sales and throw the blame on the dealers.
I agree "Its a Company filled with arrogant crooks". These bunch of crooks don't have sense how much to charge on what.. They charged me 1800 Rs for dismentalling my 2 Almirahs along with over head cabinet. They do send me an engineer who is charging 1000 Rs an hour. A man came with hammer and screw drivers and broke all rivets in 15 20 mins and bill was 1800 Rs. You are kidding me!!!.

Whole reason to buy these costly almirahs was ease of dismentalling and moving as my job needs me to move every other year.

Sells-man assured me that it does not take more than 250 bugs to dismental and re assemble.. But with 1800 to dismental and I hope I will have to pay more than 3000 to get it fixed again.. Godrej Slimline wardrobe is waste of money..
there are a lot of negative remarks about Godrej on the net. One retailer was telling me that they opened 7 stores in bangalore in last 10 years. Godrej still has only 2. If this is the attitude no one would be interested in your stuff at all. I liked the Nile recliner displayed at your jayanagar showroom.But i wont buy it cos i feel u wont support ur products. you just lost 23K
Really shocking ! At least I know that I shouldn't buy Godrej !
