[Resolved] Hathway — wrong promise | |
Recently our cable tv operator (Navin Cable TV, Choolaimedu) replaced our SCV Set Top Box with hathway set top box free of cost. I have filled up the Hathway Customer application form. There in I have chosen 10 pay channels (Star Movies, HBO, Animal Plant, Discovery, Zee Studio, Espn, Star Storts, Set Max, Star Cricket and Ten Sports) and Paid Rs.57/- (Rs.5/- per Channel with tax) to him along with basic fee of Rs.100/- for cable operator. My sim card number is[protected]. I have not selected any bouqet since all the are having more numbers of hindi channel which we don't want to see. I have clearly explained to the cable operator that since I have not selected any bouquet offered by hathway, I know that free to air channel cannot be accessed thru STB. All of a sudden, the cable operator came to my house after few days and informed me that to have Hathway STB I should select any one package otherwise, I am not eligile for Hathway STB. Since, I refused to select any package, they have taken back the STB provided to me earlier. Is it fair that even after I have selected 10 Pay channels and agreed to their condition that I dont want to see FTA thru STB. Was this information helpful? | |

Go any where..if possible go to a Cyber cafe but dont waste ur time, energy, money & mental piece by taking anything related to HATHWAY. They dont know a thing abt customer service. Wonder how they have survived till now...lol...

Channel Ten Sports is missing on the Hathway Digital Cable Network from last two weeks. Hathway Officials said that the Channel had suddenly hiked package cost and hence they were in the process of negotiations. Even after two weeks, there has been no outcome. Here in Pune, we give yearly rentals to Hathway in this part of the City and hence this gives feel of being cheated when specific channel suddenly disappears for so many days.
There was no e-mail Id given on Hathway's website for customer complaints (Cable TV Section), only phone nos are given where reply is no different than above.
Would like a senior Hathway official to comment on this,

I am talking about set top box of hathway. I bought this paying Rs 3000 on 1/1/08. for couple of months everyting went well and then 7 to 8 channels were unvisible. DW TV, BBC, TVS Monde ASie, B4U and many more channels are blank. Space black is a channnel which shows old hindi films required by my elder old brother. That also stopped functioning. There is no customer care and the people at local office are very rude and do not bother . I made a mistake by paing advance sum of Rs 3000/-Please do not buy Hathway

In Goregoan the sahara channels are showing . i asked them why they
said because in Goregoan there is CAS system
It is more than 10 days and they are not starting it
what to do
are they allowed to stop any channel and take same monthly rent from all customers

Reps give all lies. Their office Customer Service is , Deccan office the same & their HEAD OFFICE in Santacruz has no complaint system at all. Called on their Landline Headoffice number & i told my complaint to her. She tells me to contact the pune office & tells me what can i do. I forgot what else can can a person sitting at the headoffice taking customer calls do. Very funny.
I took a new connection of HATHWAY Broadband but it never came even after 17 days. They told me 7 days Crap...Crap.. Crap... after 7 days told me 5 days then 3 more days. No courtesy. I made a stop payment of my Cheque cause i dont want to have any service from those fools at Hathway who know to take advance payment but do not know anything what Service means. A real frustrated customer who got saved from ur service before going thru hell...
