Hathway a internet Service Provding Company does not have proper services, It connections fails every now and then.

Hathway Internet Services — No Deposit Refund even after 6 months of disconnection

I have still not received my deposit Refund for my Hathway broadband connection even after 6 months of disconnection.

On following up with them, they request to wait for another 15 days every time.

My net is not working from one month...and no one from Customer care is helping us to get it back. so i can understand.
My net is not working from 23rd October and every time customer care person gives us promises but nothing happens.
My acc number is 352283.
And i dont know what to do now.

We are not using Hathway Network. But but in Jan 22, 2011 we pay money for new Internet Connection but because of some problem, there is no possibility to connect network in our area, and we have no idea about it. We already pay New Internet Connection Money, so we want Refund. Because we not use your service.
And from your side Hathway executive not give any proper reply.

So please do needful.

THE INTERNET CONNECTIVITY IS ALSO VERY SLOW

Broadband in Bangalore very bad.

    Hi,
    For past month or so we are not getting any signal on ESPN,STAR SPORTS and Star Cricket. As a service provider they should atleast notify the subscriber about their plan of strating these channels again or how are they going to cutdown the prices of monthly subscription.

    hi,

    we are using hathway cable for the past three years.
    its been three months since we are unablr to view the espn, star sports. when contacted the cable operator we recieved a response that it has been disconnected by espn star network.
    Also the operator informed that the case is been filed for the settlements.
    i would like to know the proceeds in this case and how soon can we get a resolution for the same.

    hi, we are not getting espn, star sports and star cricket from the past 45 days or so.i'm a huge football fan and so am missin out on all the football matches in the weekends...wen asked abt it the cable authorities are givin lame excuses tellin that it will b relayed in 2 days...v hav waited for almost 200 days now...this cant go on any longer...i want an immediate response as to wen u guys are plannin to relay it...otherwise im afraid i will hav to change ur connection!!!
    have been using hathway cable for 2 years now and its been almost that ESPN, Star Sports and Star Cricket are not aired tried calling up my cable vendor he does;nt know the answer also called up the HATHWAY office in M'bay no answer from there also thats is like cheating the customer as i ma still paying the same money as before...hope some body does something FAST

        I have sent a mail to hathway for shift my internet connection at another address. They told me it will done within two days, but still they don't shift at another address. I always call hathway call center they are not able to resolve my problem, Hathway call center no. is [protected]. Please suggest me what should i do or take action against Hathway.           Very bad experience...harassment by collection agent Sachin (Reports to one Ketan) for connection charges not paid by previous tenant!

          He drops in after every 2 months and says that he had cut the connection and I reconnected it!

          Next he says that previous tenant had not paid so he cut mine!

          Then he tries to bully by saying he will cut again (Which I say, please do!)!

          Which DTH should I take, Tata / Big / Airtel? Kindly advise as I will buy TODAY!

            myself,jatin gor,have started hathway internet cable connection,inbetween many times the connection is suspended,and or some body else may be using same time,once engineer helped me to start by going in start menu_windows + R _CMD_OK_IPCONFIG . doing all this windows show that my laptop is not receiving , media is disconnected .that means my pc is ok but company has temporarily suspended my connection,as after the complaint no.3607603 then on next day my my connection is started automatically ,without doing any chages on my pc,and same thing happens the other day!

              I FROM MUMBAI HAD 256 LITEWAY HATHWAY INTERNET CONNECTION FROM APRIL 2007 AND PAID 1000 DEPOSIT WHICH IS REFUNDABLE. I HAD TO FACE LOTS OF PROBLEM DURING BROWSING SOMETIMES SERVER USE TO BE DOWN FOR 5-6 HOURS THRICE IN A WEEK AFTER THAT THE SPEED WAS EXTREMLY POOR NOT EVEN 100 KBPS DURING DAY. I HAD CHANGE LOTS OF PLAN BUT NONE OF THEM GAVE ME THE SAME RESULT. AT LAST I HAD TO TAKE A DECISION AND DISCONNECT THE CONNECTION. SO I SURRENDERD THE MODEM IN AUGUST 2009 AND TOOK A ACKNOLEDGEMENT FOR THE SAME BUT ITS WAS VERY REDUCULESS THAT THEY CHANGED THE PLAN AND SEND ME THE BILL FOR THE NEW PLAN. I WAS REALLY ANGRY AND TRIED TO CALL UP MANY TIMES AT LAST I GOT THE RECOVERY NO OF MR. MAHESH SAWANT HE AGREE FOR THE MISTAKE THAT HAPPENEND N PROMISED THAT I WOULD GET THE THE WHOLE DEPOSITED BACK VIDE CHQ.. IT TOOK HIM 2 MIONTHS I GUESS I HAD INVESTED MORE THAN 300 RS TO CALL HIM FOR THE SAME. MR. SAWANT THEN SAID THAT I WOULD GET A REUNF OF RS,577.00 I ASKED HIM TO CLARIFY ABOUT THE DEDUCTION BUT HE FAILED TO GIVE SO. FINALLY I RECIEVED THE CHQ OF AMT 577.00 ON 16TH NOV 2009. SO THIS WAS REALLY HARASSMENT FROM HATHWAY INTERNET AND IN LIFE I WOULD NEVER EVER SUGUEST ANY PEOPLE IN INDIA TO HAVE THIS BAD INTERNET SERVICE PROVIDER. TODAY I HAVE TATA BROADBAND INTERNET CONNECTION AND IM VERY SATISFIED FOR THE SERVICE AS WELL FOR THE SPEED THEY PROVIDE.

                CUSTOMER SERVICE

                I think hathway doesn't know how to provide customer service. i think there is no perticular system...its customer service is rediculous and sucksss........Even if anybody place a poll in world likw which is worst customer service then hathway will come 1st no doubt about it if you place a poll for good customer service then even hatway will not come that side there are far away to good customer service ......dont trust service enginners...

                The worst experience with customer service would be with bhawani cable TV. I had taken their set top box connection because they had said the only way I would get all the possible channels is by that. Now it’s been more than a year. They now started removing and shuffling channels on the set top box also.
                If we call the so called “customer service” of bhawani. They say they don’t anything and they don’t when the channels will come on. The discovery channel was removed without intimation and was back only after 3 months. Now they removed star sports and espn and those customer service agents say they don’t know when this will work. That’s their answer, believe or not.
                This cable TV network should be banned for good, and they should refund all the money they charged their customer by swindling their customers.
                There should be serious action taken against these frauds.

                  I am a resident of Kavalbyrasandra, R.T.Nagar Post, Bangalore. From 1st of November 2009 Peace TV has been taken off from the list of Channels available in the Digital Set top box of Hathway. When I enquired about it, I was not given a proper explanation. I wanted to know if this is been done purposely or what. All other religious channels are available, but only this particular channel is been removed. I demand strict action against Hathway.

                    I had contacted Mr. Yogesh from [protected]@y Broadband Internet (Cell No. [protected]) for new connection of internet. He promptly arranged for the forms to be submitted, on 25/10/2009, I have paid Rs. 1489/- vide cheque no. 970650 drawn on State Bank of Indore towards payment of 4 months internet services along with installation charges. They assured me of connection within a weeks time.
                    But now, even after 10 days nobody from Hathway came to us for installation, and now , when I complained for the same with Mr. Yogesh on his cell phone, he is not even attending my calls.

                    I have similar and horrible experiences with Hathway. The salesperson will say something and actually something else happens. There are many problems with their billing also. When I keep enquiring they did not give details and insisted on additional payment. When I did not pay up without getting details, they disconnected and kept adding charges.
                    It is very common practice for the Hathway main center people to blame the cable wala who provides service and vice versa and in between you will get horribly stuck.
                    What I hear is most of cable service in Hathway is controlled by politicians (local cable walas) it becomes very difficult to deal with them.

                    Very very worst service I have seen..such a stupid people..paid amount n we are calling them from many days for installation but not responding ..stupid service
                    I have taken a new connection from the Hathway distributor on Tuesday 28th July 2020. Henceforth after the payment done there is no response from them. After 2days there called me from technical team saying my area is not feasible whereas I have Hathway connected in my ground floor. There are not ready to refund back nor answering my calls

                      I, Rajat Kalia S/o AVM VN Kalia VSM, resident of 94 Lodhi Estate, Lodhi Road, New Delhi, was a subscriber of Hathway Internet Connection in Bangalore. I have surrendered my connection and deposited back the modem on 29 Jun 09 as I have shifted due to the nature of my job. As per the policy, the company has to refund the initial deposit of Rs 1000/- (One Thousand only) paid be me. However, the same has not been done till date. I have contacted Customer Care of Hathway (Tel No 080 –[protected] numerous times, but unfortunately, nothing positive had happened. Certain occasions the Client Service Executive has give me compliant numbers (3343977 on 02 Sep 09, 3364172 on 10 Sep 09, 3480432 on 09 Oct 09). I have tried to contact Nodal Officer Mr Satish Kumar on Mobile No [protected] (details of Nodal Officer as displayed on Hathway Site), however failed to do so because he never answered to my calls. On 09 Oct 09, while lodging complaint again on Customer Care (Complaint No 3480432 on 09 Oct 09), I informed the Customer Care Executive that I am proceeding to lodge a formal complaint against the company at appropriate forum. The customer care executive promised me that they will send the amount to me (as he used to promise always whenever I lodge the complaint). However, till date I am not in receipt of the same

                      Hathway — Non Refunding of Money

                      Hi, Hathway is a big cheater, and its staff is full of thieves, I had applied for their internet setup, and paid the amount by Cheque in advance. After two weeks of continuas follow-ups, I was told that, Hathway can’t setup internet services in my apartment, and at the same time, I was also told that my money would be given back to me. But till now I am just calling up these guys, I also have sent the mail to their Nodal officer, but still I haven’t got my money back.

                      Surprisingly, these guys never say ‘No’ to my request, and each time, I get an assurance that my money would be given back to me in 2-3 days. But its already 2 months, but still these people do not care. I think, Looting public money has become a practice in Hathway.

                      I just want to warn new subscribers to be aware of them and don’t give them any advance money, else these people will definitely won’t think twice in robbing you of your advance.

                        I got connection before 10-11 days it was working for 2 days but from last 7 days net is not working due to UNPLUGED of lan connection... Every day more than 2 times i called up customer service..but I got same answer "Your request is forwarded to Technical Dept they will get back to you and Engineers are working on same"..
                        Now i am not sure whether they have well exp. Technical persons????

                        Because after 8 days they are unable to solve UNPLUGED of lan problem..its very normal proble...

                        I m ur customer named keshar r. balmiki want to know u that the last month as well as this month the connection has been disconnected through the server. whenever i m trying to login the internet their is message box is appear that " sorry could not contact server " this problem i faced before also. sir in the month of sep date from 11 to 15 ur net is not working after that on sep 26 to oct 4 again the net is not working and before diwali also oct 15 to oct 20 net is not working . so there is total 19 days last month as well as this month their is no internet so sir i want to tell u that i will not give the full payment or otherwise extended my payment date because i hv not able to login due to server is not working properly.whenever i want to call u or give a complaint regarding this then there is always the no. is busy . so u only tell what to do now.

                          I had taken Hathway Internet connection in the name of Shakti Salvi on 31st August at the below residence:
                          301, Nidhivan CHS,
                          Upper Govind Nagar,
                          Malad(East),
                          Mumbai - 97.
                          My account number with hathway was: 533651.
                          I was promised continuous service of Internet and prompt service response. On the contrary, there was no internet service from 7th October to 12th October. Also 2 weeks prior to this, there was no internet connection daily from 5pm to 9pm. Repeated calls to the helpdesk gave poor response and no satisfactory answer. Finally I decided to cancel the connection and accordingly mailed them about it on 13th October. i have not yet received any response from them on this matter nor my amount has been refunded.
                          Kindly initiate a complaint against them for poor service and or not cancelling my account.

                            We live at D-406, Landmark Residency, Madinaguda, Hyderabad-500049. Due to some technical problem, the Siti Cable Operator of our area has suggested to take STB for access and better viewing of nearly 150 channels. We paid Rs.450/- for the STB and an advance payment of 6 months rental for Rs.900/-. After about 9 months we intimated and paid up to date the rentals and went to US for 6 months and were back in July 09. We contacted the local cable people for reactivation of the card. Inspite of several reminders, the local cable operator has not reactivated the card. Can you pl help us in directing the local operator to activate it.

                              I have applied for a new internet connection(18-July-09) for which an
                              amount of Rs.770/- has been deducted from my account.
                              As the connection was not possible in that area i applied for a refund
                              on 6th-Aug-09.I have called the concerned department number of
                              times([protected]) but the guy doesn't pick up the phone.I have contacted the office in Hyderabad also.Still a similar response from them too.

                              I am from Vadodra. I take internet connection form hathway. From last 15 days at night my connection was lost form there gateway. I request them lot of time. But they did not do any thing.

                                Dear Sir/Madam,

                                I am one of subcribers of Hathway Digital Cable TV Services. I live in bangalore on Sarjapur road.

                                Since this morning i have not been getting the 3 sports channels (ESPN, Star Sports and Star Cricket) both on the Analogue or the through my set top box. I tried calling the number listed on their website for bangalore and there is no answer.

                                Although i am aware of the numerous options available to watch cable TV, i have still gone with Hathway. Also despite the fact that the service levels were really bad, where the installation and activation took almost 3 weeks i am still willing to continue with their services.

                                But not being able to get through to customer support numbers is not acceptable. I have checked with my friends in other areas of bangalore and all of them have confirmed that ESPN, Star sports and Star Cricket are not available. Therefore it cannot be a cable/link problem. This more or less seems like a adhoc decision by hathway, for whatever reason, to block these channels. And as far as my little knowledge of such things go, i beleive any cable operator who wishes to block certain channels will have to give a 20 or 25 days notice through ads in the paper before blocking. This was not done.

                                Please let me know how i can tackle this problem. Many Thanks.

                                I too live in Sarjapur road and have same problem with Hathway. I have frequent fights with the Cable guy over ESPN/Star Sports. But looks like the problem is bigger and fight is between ESPN - Hathway, where ESPN stopped feeding Hathway due to payment issues. No idea when this will end. Currently I am exploring option of going for some DTH.
                                Hathway service is pathetic. They cut ESPN andStar Sports without warning or prior notice. They add and remove channels at will without any concern about customers. I am recommending people to leave Hathway and go to other providers, as there is no evidence of any desire to improve customer sersvice. I will ask all 34 users in my building to go to other better providers, unless there is a response to this mail within fortyeigth hours.

                                  I had subscribed to hathway digital cable from sai star cable in kandivali east area starting 1st august 2009.they didn't provide the set top box saying it is unavailable & install in 8 days,where as people in our building have got the box on the first day.It is now above months period but still settop has not been installed,when contacted the cable operator doesn't give satisfactory answers. Plz look into this matter & take proper action.

                                    I Have taken a broad band connection from Hatway co., one year back, the is a regular connectivity problem with the network. I have given N number of complaints regarding the connectivity. From the past two days I am facing a regular disconnection and connection, which is made a loss of 100 dollors due to poor connectivity.

                                    Please, suggest me to take any action on the company regarding this problem.

                                    Hathway Broadband connection — VERY VERY SLOW

                                    I have been using hathway 512Kbps plan for past 3 months and speed of connection is absolutely terrible. The actual speed is about 6-7Kbps.For the past 3 months I havent been able to download/view a single video.I think they should stop cheating customers.I hope someone takes strong action against them.

                                      I had disconnected Hathway's cable Internet connection in the month of March and was committed that they will refund the modem security of Rs.1000/- within 15-20 days and it's been more than 5 month now they have not refunded that amount yet.

                                      I had spoken to their representatives on helpline over and over again and also have proofs of emails sent to them requesting them the refund. They have not even cared to reply or callback.

                                      I have now made up my mind to drag them to consumer court.

                                      Any suggestions are welcome.
