I have purchased Pureit on 24.12.08, I was told that after the battery starts turning red I must intimate the service centre for replacement, as told I called up the call centre and informed that I need to replace the filter/battery, as the water will not be safe for drinking. However after repeated reminders and follow-up I fail to get the replacement. Now I really feel cheated, as at the time of purchase the person who came to delivery the product assured me that within a day or two the battery will be replaced after placing the request. Now on trying to reach him on the cell no. provided by him, I fail to contact him. Why a Company like HLL should rely on such a poor after sales service network. In this time of recession is HLL not interested in increasing its sale. Should I request some responsibile person from HLL to look into the matter.
Can we the consumer approach the Consumer Court for such a utterly horrible after sales service.

I have been using the your product since a year, I have ordered for battery kit replacement on 13th April 09, my details are as follows:

Since then I have been calling several times to [protected] and spoke to the executives all replying only one answer “ I am extremely sorry for the delay sir, will be sending you the executive asap” or today or tomorrow he will be at your door step.
But as per my expectation nobody came to my home nor I received any call from anybody.

For any human being water is very essential in their daily life, without pure water there is no mankind.

I have one and half year old kid, if anything happen to my kid, I am going to court of law and I will make sure that you are going to pay for that.

I had ordered for a battery replacement for the purit water filter on 20th April, 2009 vide docket no.S09HRH[protected] and till date I have not received any replacement. I have been calling the helpline [protected] every day and I get the assurance vide docket no's. 1) C[protected] DT.29/04/09 2) C[protected] DT.02/05/09 & 3) C[protected] DT.04/05/09 of it being delivered everyday, but?? I am really sorry to say that the service is one of the worst and 4th rated, people handling the service dont know how to talk nor they know what customer service is.

I thought HLL would do a better service since it is an Indian brand, but it is killing.

If you cannot deliver the battery, what is the point in having the water filter? I will be going to the consumer court to claim my money back for the in-efficient service you people have delivered.

At least you guys should have called me and given me a time frame / delivery date, but every day there is a promise which is never kept.

I will ensure that none of my friends nor will my any relatives to buy this product.

1800 Rs is a small price for HLL, but it is hard earned money for the customers.

Disappointed by the service.

Because the product itself is not good.
The BATTARRY as they so call with AUTO SWITCH OFF is not a battery (nothing electronics associated) at all.
The WHITE portion as you see from out side, as the company climbs the battery indicator is nothing but a "WHITE CHEMICAL TABULATE " which is water soluble and the red portion is a red colored plastic below the tabulate.
When the water passes through the WHITE CHEMICAL TABULATE (battery as the company says) it gets dissolved in water and the red plastic to hold the WHITE CHEMICAL TABULATE comes up, it’s the indicator showing to replace the battery.
Moreover the battery as they say has been so trickily designed that when the WHITE CHEMICAL TABULATE dissolves completely and the red portion comes up fully, a VALVE or STOPPER is there it stops water from entering the bottom container (tank with tap). And water from the upper container passing through the battery OVER FLOWS through the indicator which is red in color.
So we can’t use the filter any more as all the water gets drained through the indicator,
So the only option is to change the battery which is very expansive.
I have sent the samples to the laboratory to know the contents inside the "WHITE CHEMICAL TABULATE” which is inside the so called battery.
As soon as the reports come regarding the contents of the "WHITE CHEMICAL TABULATE” I will let you know the same.
If any one volunteers to test it and know the content PLEASE DO POST IT ON THIS FORUM.
I purchased pureit around 1 year back Tax invoice no.ISO7/KOL[protected], Device Serial No.RPM[protected]. My Pureit Battery got Exhausted 2 weeks before and I am repetedly calling you Costomer Care (Kolkata) but I am only getting response that it will be delivered within 2 days. Two weeks passed but no response or delivery of battery yet.
Please look into the matter seriously to provide the battery kit else take back the product and refund my money so that I will purchase a new water filter.

Last year September 2008 I called for the service and the service was excellent and
Once again I called last month i.e. April 10th 2009 for next service change of battery kit. Unfortunately till today they have not responded to us. Rather they are replying your area is out of our service coverage area and I assured that what ever the extra cost I will bare it, though even it is falling under your jurisdiction.

I would like to remain you that let us make the meaningful of product.

WORST SERVIVE.
When you are not able to provide services in peplacing the batter kit, i sincerely request the company to stop producing the product.
pureit is working good. But one can enjoy the product till the firsr bettery gets exhausted.After that the company is not giving response to replace the battery kit.so, next step after using first batters is to through the product into dust bins. dust bin is the suitable place for it.
The company's response is very good in giving demo and make the people to purchase the product. It will happen even within hours of making a call.But if one asks for battery replacement, i doubt atleast they will respond to the complaint atleast within three months.
i recommend people not to buy the product as people will unnecessarily fall into health risks.
