[Resolved]  HP Gas - Chauhan Gas Service — Denial of new connection without purchase of oven, Misbehaviour of staff.

I had gone to CHAUHAN GAS SERVICE[protected], VILLAGE BHAGDOLA, SECTOR-8, P.KALAN, DELHI-110045, Email : chauhan.[protected]@hpgas.hpcl.co.in Phone :[protected], the first time on[protected] for a new connection. I was told that I have to purchase an oven with the same. When I disagreed to purchase the oven as I already have one, I was denied a connection, my address proof papers were almost thrown at me. I came back & registered a complaint on the HP website. I got a call from the proprietor, Mr. Chauhan who seemed to be an amicable guy. He pleasantly denied that is employee might have misbehaved thus and said that I can definitely have a connection without purchasing an oven. But, the process is that his mechanic will visit & check the oven prior to giving the connection. I was perfectly Ok with that, hence the mechanic came, talked to my wife from the front door itself, never asking for a visit to the kitchen. He was more busy with his mobile phone than he was concerned with the work at hand.

Three days later, I received a letter from the distributor to deposit money(approx 1065) for the cylinder & take a new connection.
Yesterday, my wife went to the distributor & she was given the same treatment by the guy at the counter, he grossly misbehaved and emphasized on the point that we had to take the connection along with a new oven & that we had not allowed the mechanic to inspect my oven. That means I have to pay an amount of (approx 2500)for the new connection.

I believe, this time it was Mr. Chauhan himself talking to her (as per the description)& he recollected the registration on the website as well. He too misbehaved, he simply does not know how to talk to a lady. My wife & her friend were almost thrown out with the condition that we have to purchase an oven to get a connection. What is more overwhelming is that, when the ladies were leaving after the mistreatment, he was calling out from the doorway with something like "thik hai Madam, aap connection le hi lena..."

I think HP should seriously look into the way Chauhan Gas Service Operates. I have been to the place twice myself, my observation is that the next door Indane Gas Service guys cannot give time to all their customers as there is always a rush, whereas these Chauhan Gas Service people sit in a vacant shop. It was my fascination that HP Gas guys are good in their service. I have been a customer of HP Petrol for the last almost 6 years and I was a proud customer. But if we have to go to these kind of people, henceforth, I shall neither go to HG Gas or HP Petrol.

I believe, asking for redressal is not going to get me anywhere. Neither HP nor Chauhan Gas Service is bothered.

I am from Thane, Maharashtra. This is very true that HP people are really very bad in terms of services.
I have HP connection, since from last 2-3 years (from Soham Gas service). When ever I want to refill the cylinder they always say like "Stock nahi hai" or "5 din bat milega". how it is possible every month they don't have stock and the fact is evern After 5 days u won't get refill. And i[censored] call again they bluntly talk on the phone...the place where I live (Kolshet Road, thane west), in back side HP has a cylinder storage (godown) and i[censored] go there you can get the cylinder immedigatly (offcourse extra money).
YES SIR, YOU ARE PERFECTLY CORRECT SAME IS THE CASE AT BHAYANDER(WEST). HP GAS DEALER NAMED JIVDANI GAS SERVICE ALSO DOES ALL TYPES OF WIRED TALKS TO THE CUSTOMER...THEY DONT EVEN PLEASE TO GIVE INFORMATION THEIR STATEMENTS ARE "PEHLE SAB DOCS. SUBMIT KARO BAAD ME HI IDHAR AANANA" & HOT PLATE IS COMPULSORY TO TAKE FROM DEALERS SITE..

I THINK HP MUST THINK ABOUT IT...!!! THEIR SERVICE IS LIKE A BEGGER GETTIN PENNY FROM A PERSON...
This has become a universal practice with all dealers of HP, IOc etc. The problem is that the companies are not posting their comments on such websites in response. They should clarify their policy clearly and issue a whip to their dealers based on a consumer feedback system
If hpcl official take rightious action then corrupt prqctice and corrupt behavior will be eliminated automatically.An agency holder has no right to check oven in individuals house, further individual person has constitutional right to buy his house hold from any where.HPCL official should have ceased the said agency on such a complaint, after confirmation.
