I have recently moved in to Bangalore and approached a HP distributor (M/s Shakthi Enterprises) for a new connection for domestic LPG. When the distributor refused to register the request, I escalated the matter to HP Customer services. Strangely, the response received from HP was an instruction to visit the same distributor, register the request and wait for close to 3 months for the new connection to be released. The reason shown for the delay is "shortage of equipment". The explanation and the delay is completely unacceptable to me especially when I have a 3 year old baby at home to arrange food for. Thus I decided to submit this complaint.
Following is the response received from HPCL in this regard.

I booked gas on11.08.2010 but till today 20.09.2010 not deliver. Whenever i make phone call to their representative, he says tomorrow must be delivered.
