[Resolved]  ICICI Bank Credit Card — Fraud by ICICI bank

I would like to bring to your attention following facts about the unethical and illegal practice of ICICI Credit card division and bank and cheating being done.

A Credit card No - was issued to me on November 2002 which got expired on November 2004 . First The bank charged [debited ] annual fees from my savings bank account towards the annual charges while It was issued a life time free of cost basis and Later this was amount credited to my card account which is still unused and unnecessarily blocked for no fault of mine.

On August 2007 I was shocked to receive a SMS alert informing that Some transaction has been conducted through the card issued to me .Since I had not used this card at all therefore I immediately informed the customer care to block the card and transactions through this card.

I was assured through a telephone call from your customer care division that needful will be done and card has been blocked.

After that my credit card statement issued to me for the period August- September 07 reflected an amount of Rs.17958/ only to be paid to the bank for the transactions supposedly conducted by me . I informed the customer care that these transactions have not been done by me at all and I had already informed customer care about it.

Subsequently a fresh statement reversing the amount of Rs. 17958/ was issued pending enquiry into the matter.

After some time bank issued statement reflecting the amount again which I had not spent through my card.

I had sent many letters and emails to charge back department [ as advised by customer care ]to explain how transactions have been conducted and authorised by the credit card division but no reply on the matter has been sent to me till date about it.

Subsequently I met one of your employee from credit card collection Mr Ankit Goel ( Rohini Delhi Branch )to resolve the issue but he neither resolved nor revert on the case despite of my rigorous follow-up.

Now from January 2008 onward Your recovery agent start to calling me and abusing me for delay payments and on 1 st March 2008 I received an SMS that ICICI bank has transfered an amount of Rs. 20,760.00 from my Saving Bank accountno .This has been done without any information, discussion or knowledge .

I HAVE BEEN SUCCESSFULLY AND SINCERELY USING THE CARD FOR 5 YRS.
3YRS BACK I RELOCATED TO VARANASI .MY NEW ADDRESS IS
C/O SRI R.S.SINGH 192 SHYAM SADAN GANDHI DHAM COLONY KARAUNDHI (BHU) SUSUWAHI VARANASI 221005 UP.

I HAVE MADE REQUEST THRU PHONE BANKING OFFICER FOR THE CHANGE OF ADDRESS BUT TILL DATE IT IS NOT BEING CHANGED AND NEITHER STATED ANY REASONS FOR NOT DOING THE SAME.

BANKING OFFICER TAKES THE REQUEST AND AFTER 2-4 DAYS I RECEIVE SMS STATING WE ARE UNABLE TO UPDATE THE ADDRESS.BUT NO REASONS ARE STATED.

REQUEST YOU TO PLEASE TAKE UP THE ISSUE WITH THE CONCERENED AUTHORITIES AND HELP ME OUT IN GETTING MY ADDRESS CHANGED AND GET ME MY RENEWD CREDIT CARD.

Dear Sir,
ICICI Bank has provided me with ICICI Bank Home Card no. [protected] valid from 09 2004 to 09/2008. The card was sent to me without any application from my side.
The above card was never used by me.
In August 2007 I was given a threat on the telephone call to deposit the ICICI credit card due amount immediately. The person calling me claimed to be speaking from Tees Hazari Adalat, Delhi. I was informed telephonically that I have an outstanding of Rs.13, 180 on my Card.
I have tried to get the detailed information regarding the so-called due on me telephonically from ICICI Bank customer care centre, and even by personally verify the Bank Jaipur Branch (Upasana Tower, C-Scheme), but could not get any satisfactory answer. Even the so-called due details are never furnished to me, despite of my asking for I again and again.
Recently I have come to know that my name has been put on CIBIL as a defaulter.
My Kind request that please take necessary action in this matter. I want to No dues certificat and my name to be removed from CIBIL as defaulter immediately within 5 days, otherwise I will be forced to take strict legal action against ICICI Bank, which includes claims for the damaged social and financial reputation.
• Treat this e-mail as my last warning in the above matter.

ICICI Bank Credit Card — ICICI BANK KHAYAL NAHI JEB KHALI

My Name is Gopi & Credit Card is issue to be from ICICI bank , where we had settlled amount is 60k & Pay all as per termss & condition , but i am surprised day before yesterday they detected amounts from my saving accounts without any informations , when i try to talk with bank , they are saying your settlement was invalid , if my settlement was invalid then what stupid they are doing since last year ..........

In the previous bill of my credit card, following extra charges have been incurred:

Total of Rs 551.86 have been charged extra. What are these charges for? I have not made any such transaction in Indian Railways. Kindly revert these charges. I have already paid such charges in my previous bill. Those charges may please be refunded immediately. Also before levying any surplus charges, ICICI should inform its customers before hand. In case such charges are being taxed upon me in future, i would like to cancel my credit card.

ICICI Bank — Fraud committed by ICICI Bank by unauthorizedly issuing Credit Card on my name

ICICI BANK IS THE BIGGEST FRAUD BANK WHO ENCOURAGES FRADAULENT TRANSACTIONS FIRST, THEN ASKING FOR PAYMENT FOR THOSE TRANSACTION.

On 20th Sept. 2009, while checking my online Salary account with ICICI Bank, I found that my Salary account has been blocked & due to this reason I could not withdraw any amount from my account. Then I immediately went to nearest branch of ICICI Bank in ICICI Bank for finding out the reason for such action.

Upon enquiring, it was informed to me that this blocking was done due to outstanding amount against Credit Card purchase done for Rs. 179166/-. They refused to part with any other information & advised me to visit Credit Card Division at Jaipur for finding out details of such transactions.

In ICICI Bank Credit Card Division, Jaipur, I was informed me that a Credit Card No. [protected] was delivered to me in Aug. 2006 at Malviya Nagar Address & delivery of the same was taken by Ankit, who had identified himself as my Son. On my further enquiry that Credit Card delivery is made only after taking the Identity proof of the person who is taking the delivery, ICICI bank refused to share any of the details with me like identity of person who had taken the delivery i.e. Copy of his Identity Document which shows his name along with Father’s name also.
Once this anomaly was brought to the notice of the bank thru email i.e. customer.[protected]@ICICIbank.com , on 12th Oct. 2009, I received a apology mail from Mr. Sanjay Bhave, Office of Head Customer Service, ICICI Bank Ltd., that the lien marked on my Bank account have been removed & he apologized for the inconvenience caused.
At that time I thought that the matter is closed & brought to its logical conclusion.

But I was surprised to receive a letter again from ICICI Bank on 10th Feb. 2010, that as per their RCU investigation of the facts as stated by me, it is confirmed that Credit Card No. [protected] was delivered to my address thru Express IT Courier vide AWB No.[protected] on 2nd Aug. 2006 & credit card was received by my Son, Mr. Ankit Sekhon, by providing his Driving License[protected]P[protected]. Letter further states that our investigation of the facts has confirmed that the transactions took place on my Credit Card. Hence, I’m liable to pay this outstanding amount at the earliest.
Further, despite many requests ICICI bank is not providing any documentary proof of investigation along with Copy of Driving License which was provided by receiver of Card as Identity proof.

Here I want to clarify further that at the time of delivery of Credit Card i.e. 2nd Aug. 2006, the actual age of my son was only 1 yr., they how could he provide his driving license as proof even when he was minor at that time.

Bank is maintaining a deafening silence on such question & refusing to move from their position. Yesterday, I got a call from some lawyer in Delhi that unless I paid up the outstanding amount, Bank will move forward for legal proceeding against me.


One thing is very clear that either ICICI Bank doesn’t want to own up the mistake committed on their part of some officials of ICICI Bank are party to this fraud & benefitting from this fraud. This can be further cemented by fact that till date they have not provided any documentary proof that Mr. Ankit Sekhon is my Son & his driving License also carries my name as his father.


As far as my Credit history is concerned, till date i have never ever defaulted on any of my Loans. Currently, I have a Car Loan of Rs. 300000/- going on at ICICI Bank but there have not been any single instance of any default. Why would I default on smaller amount which is half of my current load.


Never in my life i have seen a worst bank than ICICI Bank & vowed that after solving this problem, I will never ever deal with Bank & also asked my employer to change Salary Account to some other bank but not any other Bank. My employer had also confirmed that they have already started to negotiate with other Banks for benefits & previlages to be offered to all employees.


Now I have no other option left but to approach consumer court & ask for the compensation for mental agony & cost of legal proceeding.

ICICI Bank Credit Card — No coordination and not even cross referencing of earlier correspondences

I had paid my credit card bill by cheque much before the due date. Fair enough I got a call that my cheque has not been received. Aftewr no. of mails to Customercare I was informed that the card no. is wrong on the cheque and hence the same could not be encashe. I put in a n ICCI Bank cheque on 9/7/2010 in the drop box at Tot Mall Sector62 Noida at 3 PM. I was informed the receipt of cheque would take 3 days. After five days today I get a call that the payment has not been made hence I would not be able to use my card. This is absurd when the current bill received today on mail reflects this outstanding amount alongwith interest for which due date is 29th July 2010. How can then my card be blocked. I have on my own been writing mails to customer care to tell me the latest status nand lo and behold I geta mail from them that my cheque of 24th June could not be encashed because of wrong card no. and I am addressed as Mr Shankar where as Iam Ms Anurag Shankar (Female). It seems that nobody is serious about customercare they dont go into the full correspondence do not coordinate with other related departments etc. etc.I wish that people on help dsks are more resposible and professional in their jobs. They are more of harrasment officers than customer service officer. Being a senior citizen old customer and being making timely payments this attitude hurts. email address [protected]@gmail.com

ICICI Bank Credit Card — Name not cleared from C-Bill

I had cleared my dues with settlement with ICICI bank in November 2009. Till date, the C-Bill status is not cleared from their end. I was assured that it would be done in 6 months. Kindly suggest how can i do it my self in this case. I have e-mail from the bank regarding zeroization status and no dues.

I have read your whole details with great interest.There are lot of victims out here who have similar situation like yours. Please allow me to inform you few things as a professional expert.

In all SETTLEMENT cases ; in a prima facie, Banks use to incurr a huge financial loss and thats what as per the guidelines they reserve the right to refer your card details to the negative database/regulators such as CIBIL which appears as " WRITTEN OFF " or " SETTLED ".

As far as CIBIL is concern, CIBIL [ CREDIT INVESTIGATION BUREAU OF INDIA LTD.] is a organisation which has come into existence by the joint effort of the government of India and the RBI ; with the idea to gather all existing consumer and commercial credit information and pool it in a one-point source, for reference.


Also It is an informative database of all customers having any kind of financial liabilities (past/current and good/bad) with all the financial institutions. This database is updated by all the financial institutions on a periodic basis with regards to the payment track of customer. Hence, he customers name are never deleted but are updated on a periodic basis in the database.It provides only those information which are being shared by its members [ Presently banks, financial institutions, state financial corporations, non-banking financial companies, housing finance companies and credit card companies are members of CIBIL ] about any customer on its report.

You may note that It acts as weeding mechanism that helps identify repayment track records of the customer. It helps protect lenders from giving credit to people and establishments who are unlikely to repay what is lent. Even if credit is provided, it is done so at a very high rate of interest, thereby ensuring that the bank is able to recover a considerable sum of money even if a default happens some time into the loan tenure.On the other hand, on the availability of an impeccable repayment track record, one can reap benefits from it too.Banks provide a lower interest rate for sound credit profiles that have excellent credit scores .It also helps lenders and banks quickly process a loan, without wasting valuable time on research and background check on the loan applicant.

Now i do not have any idea that in what circumtances you have gone for SETTLEMENT with your availed credit facility with ICICI BANK LTD.

ICICI Bank Credit Card — FREEZED SAVING ACCOUNT AND DEBITED AMOUNT UNKNOWINGLY

Hi, My name is suryakant rathod, I would like to submit my complain regarding credit card number [protected] , I am using this card since last 5 to 6 years, recently I had some financial issues and for that i was not able to make minimum payment due for last month, I requested bank for give me some time and they agreed and ask me for settlement final meeting on 06-07-10 at ICICI Bank,Sakar1,11th Floor,Near gandhigram Rly stn.Ashram road, I have letter of that corespondence. Meanwhile in between this period I also use ICICI bank saving account number[protected] and i use this account for my daily need and use , I issued 2 cheques to my business relation parties on 1-7-2010 , amount of 5915 and around 25725 , Icici bank freezed my account and debited that full amount 25854/= from my account which is very unfair as meeting was set on 6-7-2010 and i was assured that settlement would done on that date, but before that bank debited that amount from my account and spoiled my image to my business partners. This is very unfair and i will complain to concern parties for the same. I would also like to know that i have sent a legal notice to all concern department and I have also forwarded this complain to rbi consumer complain department

ICICI Bank — illegal charge of credit card

1. i have the honor to state that i have illegal transaction on 27/12/08 from hondo.com a company of job search engine from icici credit card. i have faxed a complaint letter on 30/12/08 to number[protected] and had got a fax completion report for the same along with the bill of telephone booth. the credit card department claimed that i have not lodge the complaint within 90 days .
2.i had the recovery of Rs 5003.15 on 08/06/10 from icici savings account[protected] after which i have submitted all the documents and proof for the illegal transaction and fax details to collection department andheri(E) to collection manager vrishali and got the letter endorsed. she told me to write e-mail to HSQA department and lean department.

3. i have written the mail to HSQA and lean department on 22/06/10
for which i dint get any reply.

4. On 07/08/10 there was another debit 0f 7101.73 rs from my acc.

5. i wrote another letter 242/vp dated 08 sep 10 asking the reasons for the recovery to collection manager Vrishali. She dint accept the letter by hand and has told me that this time she will not endorse the letter.Told me to send the letter by register post.

6. Miss virshali had made me speak to HSQA department to miss lilavati and had not taken any action on my both letters of mine.CLAIMING ISSUE CLOSED 25/03/10

7. i being the serving NAVAL OFFICER OF INDIAN NAVY have acc in icici bank for 07 years and a gold card debit card . I would request you solve my issue and shouldn't make me running between department.
Dues Statement even after full & Final Settlement of Card [protected] payment had availed a credit card / Loan of ICICI Bank and used for worth Rs.31000 for which had paid Rs.31000 by Cheque on the due date after which I received a statement for Rs.3387.92 cash but still I am receiving the statement claiming dues. Now I have received a letter claiming dues of Rs.3387.92 As I have already paid the dues so I can not understand why am I being harassed over phone to pay the dues. Your Ref. No. VPM/082009/[protected] dt. 20.08.2009.

I am now a days receiving calls from collection department threatening to take action if I do not pay the dues.

ICICI Bank Credit Card — GETTING THREATS FROM RECOVERY AGENTS

This is to reference to complaint which i made earlier on the[protected]. . . . regarding false promise from a recovery agent over the phone to make payment against NOC even after making payment she didn't send me the promised NOC . . .After some days again i was getting phone calls from recovery agents. . . after making complaint on the above date i received calls from another recovery agent to make payment or face payment i told them that i made a complaint in the (CONSUMER COMPLAINTS FORUM ) and told them that customer service team at ICICI Bank have promised me that they will look into this matter he hangup the phone and thereafter he did int call-me . . . . .and again from today the recovery agents have started to call me in odd hours and pressuring me to make the payment or they would come to place and threaten me and my family to make the payment . . . this guys are threatening that they will follow me and my family members everywhere . . . I'm hailing from a HEART DISEASE CALLED CAD (Coronary Artery Disease) . . . Due to frequent calls from recovery agents i'm not able to recover my health . . . . (IF ANYTHING HAPPENS TO ME I WOULD SURELY HOLD ICICI BANK RESPONSIBLE ) . . .
