I recently switched to Idea Cellular Sim Prepaid which i had with me, previously i was a customer of Aircel (another Pathetic Network) aircel was sooo bad in reception that sometime calls would drop under flyovers (i did not try under a tree shade).
So i switched to Idea Cellular for network connectivity issues, to my surprise Idea cellular could not provide me A GPRS connection in an age where most of people are dependent on 3G for smartphones.
Kept trying to get it activated, shooted mails to Nodal Officer desk too, all in vain .
One person told me that Iphone 4 is not compatible with their network. I asked why ??
Because its 4G!!! How badly i wish Iphone 4 was 4G mobile!!!
Well after days of registering complaints, some tech team executives did bother to call, but all they did was ask me to enter settings manually ??
I did that bearing all that torture time and again ... Apart from that they did not have any solution and i know why because they think their network has no problems from their end ... They are only taught to find fault in customer !!!
Nothing new when a company has tie up with AT & T .. I guess customers o[censored].S will agree on this.

When most of service providers are looking to provide 3G services, Idea cellular is not able to troubleshoot a 2G network issue???
This fairly shows what kind of torture customers in A.P are gonna face once IDEA goes 3G???
I have an Idea for !dea cellular, stick to 2G and find customer base in rural india !!! thats how the business can flourish with providing services to ignorant people of rural india..
But that too wil not last long .. so thats a temporary IDEA sir jee...

I am very desperate customer of your services. I had called so many times to your customer care regarding setting of net but there is no solution till yet. Some of people says that call at this no. or another no. I don’t understand if they don’t know how to give setting why they are sited there.

    i contacted idea customer service around 10:30 pm on 28/11/2010 in regards with a gprs service.i had a word with an agent named satyendra who was very rude and disconnected the call.after that incident they started deducting my balance and my balance was deducted by 120 rupees and my balance reached a negative amount.i contacted idea customer service several times since then but i am getting run around and they are still deducting my balance and every time i recharge my balane they are deducting it for any service which i have never opted for. now i am feeling being harassed by this unauthorized deduction and cheap customer service. all that started happening after my conversation with agent satyendra and i am sure he is the person behind all that. so please do the needfull against all that is happening. i am sure i am not the only one. please stop that so that no other customer can be harassed like this. now i am planning to switch to othere mobile services. my contact number is [protected] and name is jitendra shukla.

    I am noticed that from past few days my balance is being deducted continously, I asked about it to customer care Mr.Abhishek and Supervisor Mr Pawan, they repeatedly said that they had no information ragard the deduction and said that we are not able to give u information and cut the phone the are working in Idea office A-30, mohan Coperative industrial estate, New delhi .I again called there at 22:00 but got the same answer from customer care side.The same things is happening regularly and also asking about deduction in customer care i get same answer that "we are not getting this information right now"
    If this compaint is read by any IDEA CELLULAR Executive, I want to suggest them that instead of promoting "idea" by any Celebrities, please take care to improve there customer care service.I also want to tell them that my many friend had change to other Cellular company.Really I am so upset that type of behaviour from customer care of IDEA.

    idea pre paid service. — deduction of balance

    i have a number [protected]. balance of 330 was deducted in one day from my account on 8th july. customer care people said that their system is not working. when contacted again , they told me to stay on the line but never returned back to answer my query. Two times they disconnected my call. this is highly disgusting.

        Hello!
        Idea has changed my Idea Gprs Plan without any information. I am user of idea from long more then 6 year, Using number [protected]. from the past 3 month I was not using this number just due to some reason. I had the Internet plan of idea Net 5 GPRS Unlimited Web plan. Which was come in starting when Idea introduce the Web plan. Before a month I was getting message that "Dear Customer Please note GPRS rental deduction on your number has failed. you will be charged 2P/KB for GPRS usage till Next successful deduction"
        I was quite obvious that whenever I will recharge I will get my plan back even it has happened earlier. But now this time when I recharged then they have changed by GPRS plan to 0 rental plan means 2p/kb for all time. Now I can not have my old plan back. even they did it without initmation. I called up customer care and they told me that there is some time specific after that GPRS plan is set to 0 plan by default. Even they have not intimated the time period and anything like this so that I can recharge my number on time and can have my old plan with me.
        Hope some one can help me regarding this.

        idea gprs — Slowest service

        Im using idea gprs from one year or more and i always face problems to activate.It takes more than 24hrs. Nd its very costly from another sim networks its 25 per day, aircel is giving 14 rs for 3 days unlimited

        idea gprs — IDEA GPRS

        I am Pramod Patel (DOB - 15/09/1978) using idea post pad connection ([protected]) and activated GPRS unlimited plan 849 INR. But I am not able to connect to Idea GPRS.

        Spoke with customer care multiple time and tried to raise complaint also on 198 but no body helped me. I am very much disappointed while I am using highest plan for GPRS.

          from Few days no. of SMS recieved from IDEA cellular that --Badha rahit sewaon ka labh uthane ke liye Idea point par apna document jama karein aur Rs. 10/- ka free talk time payein.

          now my connection has permanentally disconnected.
          At the time of SIM purchasing i already submitted the required documents.
          what is this..? Now because of this i am facing a lot of problem,and No communication possible.
          If it was cumpulsarry to submit the documents, it should be mention properly.

          Dear sir,
          When my IDEA cellular SIM was disconnected and i post a complain at your end but No solution get. Then after few days again i submitted the required documents. and SIM registration activated.

          But after few days (From December 2010) again SMS is coming continuously at least twice a day. My SIM is active. But i am feeling irritation with such type o[censored]nwanted SMS-"Hamare kai prayason ke Baad bhi aapka CAF Hamein Prapt Nahin hua hai...Date...ke pahle CAF Na milne per ...date...ko aapka mobile number bandh kiya ja sakta hai". Also feel inconvenient if i am out of station or at any other place from where i could not submit the document if SIM Disconnected.
          Once again My SIM disconnected. My question is how many times document required to continue the IDEA service

            Rs. 5 is deducted every day without my consent for some contest (they say it a VAS..Value Addded Service) from my idea prepaid no. [protected]. when i called customer care, they said that i have activated this, but i have never done this. I asked them to deactivate this immediately on 26th Nov. when i checked my balance on 28th Nov, i found that again Rs. 5 was deducted every day. i immediately called the customer care again and they are telling me that even though i deactivated the service on 26th, the service was activated again by me on 27th by dialing some no.(*333#44... something) which i never did.
            I have lost almost Rs.175 due this so far. i feel cheated by IDEA by deducting money from my account every day without my consent for some contest. Is this how IDEA makes money...so cheap...WHAT AN IDEA SIRJI.......

            Idea Prepaid — Deduction of Rupees 20 everyday

            sir,
            I beg to say that i have idea prepaid connection with number [protected].
            (1) I wanted to deactivate my internet services from idea.
            I have already called the customer care many times to deactivate the unlimited gprs service @rs 20/day.
            But the amount of money is still deducing.
            (2) I have already send the message to deactivate the service(i.e DEACT gprs20 on the number 12345 as the customer care told).
            But the amount of rs.20 is still reducing from my prepaid account daily.

            So i request you to take the matter seriously.

            Idea Cellular — deduction of money without my consent

            dear sir,
            I am a customer of idea cellular with the mobile no. [protected] from the last five years.On 15th of august 50 rupees from my prepaid account was deducted without any reason. When i enquired from the customer care they told me that some music package was activated on my account that i had not subscribed. i even don't know anything about this service and had not even made any call to customer care about any value added services. this deduction of money without any reason is like a robbery and i feel very bad about it.
            hmmm very true i dont know what dis people r doin
            moreover there customer care numbers r also recorded to contact any one in Idea is so
            difficult yesteraday evening i recharged my number with rs 100/- n i hd send only 5 msgs n at 1:30 am my balance was 2.19 rs
            without any reason atleast they should specify some reason for the deduction n moreover to deactivate all the services sufficient information should be provided to the customer
            i m fed up of this deductions n really i m now going to tell all frenz, family members, colleagues about dis n will advice them not take dis connection...

            Idea — Deducting my balance without permission

            Idea usually does not deduct balance without customer's permission. but one week before my balance of Rs. 30 got deducted saying i started some astrology scheme.
            I know i did not do anything of that sort, kindly i want my refund back. when i spoke to customer care they said i stopped the scheme but you will not get refund. the behavior of your customer care people was very rude.
            I assume that IDEA does not rob money from their customer and therefore i want to know the answer from the higher level because i haven't done any mistake.

            Idea — Unknown balance reductions

            Dear sir/mam,
            I request your kind attention towards a very serious problem that i am facing with my mobile service provider,"Idea Cellular".My mobile number is [protected] and on 3rd september 2011 there was an unknown account balance reduction from my account of Rs.99+Rs.20.I was totally shocked from this reduction as I was uninformed from this.I called the customer care number about 8 times from then but they gave unsatisfactory answers.
            Now again they deducted an amount of Rs.15 on 18th september 2011 and an amount of Rs.5 on 19th september 2011.I am really suffering from a mental harrasment from Idea company and you are my last hope so please look after my complaint and get it resolved.

            Idea — deducting money from my account without my permission

            I have already sent u a complaint regarding my prepaid no [protected]. I do not understand that y u people are unnecessarily deducting money from my account without my permission? you deduct total 90 rs date 24/10/2011,25/10/2011 from my balance.Your customer care officer also don't give the proper answer. Kindly look into the matter or else I need to seriously think about change in the service provider. my alternate no [protected]

            i would like to bring in your kind notice that i am zartaj akhtar and my idea prepaid number is [protected] ,actualy this happend on 24 jan that i had a prepaid balance of rupees 401 but on next day when i checked my prepaid balance it was 226 rupees only.so i called customer care and asked them the reason for deducting my pre paid balance and they told me that you had made calls thats why they had deducted it but its totaly not true as i want then call details they refused me.thats why i am submitting this complain could you plz arrange the call details of my number from 19jan till 31jan so that i can get my balance back.kindly do the needful as soon as possible.my alternative number is [protected] as i m not using my idea number frequently from the day of amount deduction.you can mail me my call details on my mail id that is [protected]@ymail.com

                Respected sir,
                I am using a Idea mobile [protected], on 23rd of November 2010 I got a call from idea cellular, she told me about there new service named "Idea TV" in which i have to pay 50 rupees per month and i can watch 1 channel on my mobile hand set, she asked me my mobile handset name i told her NOKIA N73 ,so she said my mobile handset i compatible with this service, so i activated that service, she told me that with in 24 to 48 hours i got a link by which i can download an application on to my set and watch that channel, on 24th nov 50 Rs deducted from my account and i didn't get the link i call them they said u have to download that link i did that, but that link said your mobile is not compatible, i called them so they said after asking them 4-5 times they said sir your mobile is not compatible, then i said "please refund my money and deactivate the service" so they said its not possible sir.
                what can i do sir in this situation..these mobile services are doing anything what they want and customer always suffer. you should tack some action sir ..PLEASE.

                  I am a resident of pune and working in pune. I use Idea cellular service. But I am sorry to inform that i face too much of network connectivity problem with idea mobile. I don't get the network even in my residence in pune. I don't understand how they are advertising about network range inside the lift. Last week i was in Kolkata and it was shocking that i didnt get network even on the roads of kolkata.

                  I hope the company resolves this problem not for me but for their marketing and sales purpose atleast.
                  i believe whatever i show or exhibit should be 100% true

                    Dear Sir,

                    I am having postpaid mobile connection No. [protected] since 2009. and my email id is [protected]@gmail.com.

                    The calls are barred from my mobile due to non payment since i was out off station for last Two and half months but soon as i reach delhi i made my payment of RS.450.00 on 23.11.2010 at your Idea Centre situated in RDC ghaziabad at 6.30 P.M. The person who collect the payment told my that your services will be activated in One hour but the same was not activated till 10.30 P.M of 24.11.2010, so I approached your customer care centre, it was informed that the request has been send and the number will be activated by 10.00 A.M of 25.11.2010.

                    Even after lapse of 52 hours from the date & time of payment the SIM is not activated.

                    On 25/11/2010 at 10.00 PM, when contacted customer care, it was informed that mobile will be activated with in 30 minutes.

                    Even after One and half hours the same was not activated.

                    On 25/11/2010 at 11.30 PM, I again called customer care. The gentlemen who attended the call
                    has informed the following request no:[protected] and informed that the sim will be activated by morning 10.00 A.M but the same has not still activated till now..

                    I request you to resolve the above issue immediately and activate my mobile.

                      Hi,
                      I would like to make everyone aware about the fraudulant charges billed to post paid customers by Idea cellular on the name of add on connection.
                      The story starts from Feb 2010. I visited Idea Cellular dealer in Nico Garden, Viman Nagar and they offered me absolutely free add on post paid connection on my mobile number [protected]. I asked repeatedly to them that is this absolutely free ? they told yes and I have to bare only the monthly charges as a part of post paid services which is okay. This six month which means August 2010 I was not charged any charges.
                      Now since I have been used to with Add on number ( [protected] ) after six month they carged 300 INR charges w.r.t add on number in my Aug. month bill. When I argued with customer care why this charges are billed they told that there is mistake and 300 INR was reverted in my Sep. Month bill. But new surprize came they added 250 INR in Oct month bill. So I checked with Idea customer care and they told this is by mistake and I need not to pay 250 INR in my Oct bill. So I paid the bill after deducting 250 INR.
                      Now the harassment starts. I got message in Nov. 2010 month that I have not paid 250 INR so either I pay the amount or my outgoing calls will be stopped. As I was not convinced with this charges I did not paid 250 INR to Idea and my outgoing calls were stopped.
                      Intrestingly in mid of Nov 2010 one of the Idea executive gave me call to remind that I have not paid the 250 INR. I expressed the promise made by idea cecullar dealer about the free add on number and now fraudulant charges on my billing. The customer care lady from recovery department told me that she is really sorry about this and would resolve the issue. I has been almost 2 weeks noone has called me and not to mention inspite of outgoing blocked the monthly billing is ON for this number.

                      I request someone from idea to resolve this matter. Request the mobile customers not to use Idea postpaid services and fall into completely baseless offers made by idea cellular dealers. They have opened shops to trap new customers by cheating and never provide full informaiton about the charges.

                        Daily I recieve SMS on my Idea Mobile No [protected] from Idea Number [ 55456340] "AAJ KA PEHLA SAWAAL;;;;;;;;;;;;;;; " and 5 rupees are automatically deducted from my prepaid amount. after my all efforts they are not deactivating this service and unnecessarily i am loosing 5 rupees . Please get deactivated this service at an earliest .

                            i am shailendra with my friends servesh & pradeep purchsed (before two month) a idea net setter & that usb stick not providing a high speed internet
                            when we purchase it shopkeeper said to us its working on upto 1mbps speed
                            but that usb not gives 100kbps speed.
                            this usb stick gives the speed about 5-7 kbps.
                            when we also talk to ASM/RSM & tell about for that problem so they dont respond to it. & we also want to communicate to customer care but they dont able to provide a satifactory answer & some time they dont receives the calls.

                            am sorry for that this usb stick is useless
                            after recharging 2g plan of 400 rs at 1 month unlimited data use so when i have use the net setter 14 or 15 days then after the speed of surfing and also downloading very very very slow. even google opened at list one minute time taken.
                            so i am sorry @ but idea's service is useless.@

                              Sir,

                              1. I am a customer of IDEA PREPAID with mobile no. [protected] (UP West).

                              2. On 08 Nov 10 I got a call from +91-[protected] regarding an offer for IDEA post paid which requires a 250 rupees initial deposit and a monthly rental of 299 with which i will be getting 30,000 seconds of talk time, either STD or local. when I asked the individual about the choice of mobile number, he told me that initially i have to get the SIM and then i wil be getting a call from the number allotment department and then an SMS with 20 to 25 mobile numbers to choose from. when i asked him that if i dont get a number of my choice, then I was told that I have an option of converting my existing idea prepaid number to postpaid.

                              3. Same day I got the SIM (#[protected]) with a receipt on payment of Rs. 250/- and I was waiting for the call from the number department. The next day i.e on 09 Nov 10 in my absence my wife has received a call on my landline number. Inspite of my wife’s request to call when I am there, the executive has told her that [protected] is the new number allotted (without giving a choice of numbers) and that someone will be coming for verification of address on 10 Nov 10. On contacting the customer care, regarding theallotment of number without a choice of selecting a number, I was informed that I have been allotted the number [protected] and not [protected]. I was instructed to contact the nearest my idea shop for further queries. I went to my idea shop at shalimar garden, and raised a complaint for converting my prepaid number to postpaid. (complaint number 1-[protected] dated 09 Nov 10). The next day I got a call from idea customer care regarding verification. I told them that till my complaint is resolved, I will not entertain any verification. Then they promised that if I write down the problem to the person who is coming for verification, my problem will be resolved.

                              4. On 20th when I contacted the customer care, I was informed that my postpaid scheme has been activated on my existing prepaid number and the SIM number[protected] will be handed over to me which has not been delivered to me till date.

                              4. Therefore it is requested that the following queries may be resolved at the earliest:

                              a) SIM number[protected] not being delivered even after being activated.
                              b) Disposal of the SIM sold to me (#[protected])
                              c) Why such false promises are given to an existing customer who is in a long time association with your company regarding choice of mobile numbers and then reverting back.

                              5. Awaiting for an earliest solution.

                                I had brought 1 idea postpaid number-[protected] , from idea head office at rs600,that time their executive said number will start in evening , than i called her in evening to start the number , than she said server is down number will start tomorrow, i said ok . but next morning she is calling me n saying if you wanna start number 900rs more you have to pay . Now what should i do now please help

                                  Activating SMS masti packs FORCEFULLY without my request
                                  sir,
                                  Idea Cellular is deducting Rs.10 every week for SMS MASTI PACK from my balance without my consent. They send me a sms for information after activating the pack.I never requested to activate the said services.I requested many times to deact the said services on 155223 (toll free number).I received confirmation sms for deactivating sms services within 24 hrs.But till date the said service is not deactivated.The said service is used by idea forcefully & it is cheating to me. Please help me in Deactivating this masti pack and getting my all money back, Please deactivate MASTI PACK service.MY MOBILE NUMBER IS [protected](pune,maharashtra). i will be very thankfull to you

                                      I Praveen Kumar Verma ([protected]) have been paid Ring Tone Charges since a long back on my mobile No. [protected], about one & half month ago you have changed it from Hanuman Chalisa to some other tone and contineously charged for that Ringtone which is not acceptted by me.It is regretted that inspite of my repeated requests on your help line No., either you are not given Hanuman Chalisa Tone on my Mobile nor you discontineu that unaceeptable tone if you can not give the Hanuman Chalisa Tone. You are requested to stop the service of Ringtone if you are not unable to give me Hanuman Chalisa on my mobile.

                                        Its a very pathetic act from idea. I have been idea customer the day I took a mobile phone. i.e Last 5 years.
                                        Now you have automatically activated caller tune on my mobile no [protected]. It can't be deactivated via net and i have to call your customer care office only. Already i have suffered a loss of Rs. 30. Now, by calling your customer care office, I have incur other losses as you have started charging for that as well. When will you stop such unethical practices.

                                        I request you to remove my subscription of caller tune with immediate effect.
