I have been mislead by "Idea" sales representative named RAVI, on 14 dec'10 he called me and told me about the postpaid plan of Rs.249 combo pack. He informed me that in this plan i'll get 400 local mins. 400std mins. and 400 local/std sms free and 1gb gprs usage free, and call charges will be 30p/min. to any local calls and 40p/min. to any std calls, so i agreed and said ok for that paln, next day he called and conformed me that he'll be sending his agent to collect my identity proof with 1 photo, so I again conformed the plan and ask that if there is any 1 idea to idea free call , he said yes there is an offer on this, I said ok. His agent gave me the sim kit and given a cash receipt of Rs.250 which i paid, and sd the simm will be activated within 24 to 48hrs.Now today is 27dec'10 my sim is not yet activated, tried to call them several times they have not picked up my phone. So I called idea postpaid customer care from my another idea postpaid number, raised the complaint as well twice but only got a phone call from them that they are forwarding my complait to the concern tem but no action has taken from them.When I have ask to speak to the customer care supervisor , every time they put me on hold for 20mins or 25mins. and then they hang up . So is someone is there to help me in this case.

    I called Idea Customer Care 12345 on 27th, December 2010 for ISD tariff voucher from my cellphone no.[protected]. On asking for tariff reduction I was told that by Re-charging with Rs.23.00 my call rates to Malaysia will be Rs.3.00 per minute and call rates to Hong Kong will be reduced to Rs.8.00 per minute. I sepecifcally told the country names.

    On 28th, December 2010 I recharged my Cell No.[protected] with Rs.23.00. After that I called to Malaysia, but I was bieng charged at regular rates which are Rs.10 per minute.

    I dialed Idea Cellular cmplaint No.198 and informed them about what they told me and what is bieng charged to me. This time they said that Malaysia is a Asian country and they did not have any tariff reduction for that country.

    I said that this is your fault as you gave me wrong information, so you should rectify what is charged to me or refund my Rs. 23.00.. They said that they could not do anything and I can complaint about to this to anybody.

    I want to tell you that IDEA CELLULAR IS A CHEAT AND FRAUD COMPANY.

      This is to inform you that I (Sanjeev Arora) had received a message from mobile number [protected] dated 15th December 2010, related to purchase of idea connection. They had given some choice of numbers, on a payment of Rs 250/-,such as [protected] / [protected] / [protected] / [protected] / [protected] / [protected]. Mr Nand ([protected]) had to be contacted for purchase of these numbers. I contacted him, the same day within few minutes of receiving this message and told him to finalize and confirm the first number [protected]. He confirmed and a person, Mr Tinku Mob- [protected] was send to my office to do the formalities of the paperwork. He filled the CUSTOMER APPLICATION FORM, serial no. 9335357. The Dealer stamp stated CREATIVE SOLUTIONS, FOS-12601, M- [protected] /[protected]. The person took my License’s copy as an identification document and issued me a sim number[protected] and told me that my number [protected], which I had asked for would be activated in 48 hours.

      After 3 – 4 days, I received a call from Mr Nand that he is talking from the idea , activation department and the number which I have asked for will not be activated for some unknown reason and I should opt for some other number.

      I was adamant for the same number, and then he told me that it was a mistake from their department only and just to sell the sim some dealers do this type of FRAUD.

      I was shocked on hearing this, and told him that I would take them to court, on which he said that I may proceed as they listen to these types of treats almost daily.

      Again on 23rd December I received a message from the mobile number [protected]
      Stating “Dear Sir Sorry from my side it’s a request my side plz change the num so can activate the services.” And there were few numbers given to me.

      Again on the same day I received a call from Nand, which I have recorded, to order me to take some others numbers as the number [protected] has been issued to some other person.
      I was again shocked to listen to this.

      I dialed the number and talked to the person, he said that he had converted this number from post paid to prepaid. I told him the story and also said that he might be contacted for some more clearance on this matter.

      I have all the documents stating that this number[protected] has been issued to me and now I want the same number.

      A company with such good reputation and regard doing this kind of ridiculous and degrading work and a criminal fraud and cheating with the consumers, who would want to go along with Idea services, like this is not acceptable.
      If someone can look into my petition, I would be highly obliged or else I would take this matter to high authorities and officials of all level and all departments.

      It’s not the matter of money; it’s the matter of commitment and the company like IDEA cellular services doing this kind of fraud and cheating.

      You can either wait 72 working days for this number to be couriered to you, or wait for our dealer Mr. Tinku to collect it from Okhla office.

      Kindly note that it will be given to the dealer who has sold the number, you can not collect.

        M Virendra pardesi. Hey idea customer care staff sucks. I told the customes care to deact games pack but they dont know what to do. They gave me wrong information. Please deactivate game pack and tic tak toe on my no. [protected] anyhow. Other wise ill port this number to vodafone. I am feed up by calling customer care and getting bad results.

They start caller tune and GPRS service without my request .I made many call to custumer care but they blame me that I gave request for it.Last day they reduce my amount .I again call them then say a new issue that I download a game on my mobile but I did not do it. Customer care did not solve my problem. They daily cut my money for that service I not requested ...plz solve it as soon as possible

            I purchased an Idea Net Setter USB modem CE 0682 - model E 1550 - HSDPA USB Stick with mobile # [protected], SIM #[protected] and PUK : 8309281 from Logic infoTec Computer Sales & Service, Varanam PO , Puthenangady, Alleppy from an Idea sales techinician named Shemeer S. B, ( Mob. [protected]) after paying Rs.3499/= on 21/04/2009 with the assurance that the device could be used any where in the country. The following mobile numbers were given to me for contacting for any service related problems which are [protected], [protected] besides Mr.Shemeer's mobile number. On May 2nd week I went to Mysore for personal needs and the modem did not work there.
            I tried to contact all the mobile numbers but to no avail. I also contacted the local Idea store in Mysore but did not get much help either. Back in Kerala I tried to contact Mr.Shemeer again but had no trace of the person.
            I want Idea to refund my original deposit after deducting the usage charges for two weeks.

            i was promised for the speed of 236kbps but the speed i am getting is really horrible, i am getting the speed of 5kbps to 7 kbps only

                i am sravan this is my mobile no [protected] am using idea network and i have been complained about RC 29/-rs to the customer care they are not responding about that complaint.The RC 29 promotions are like recharge with 29 and you get full talk time RS 29 with 4 days validity but the amount is getting only for 3 days the remaining balance we cant use.but its will after 4 th day the condition is applied.The idea is cheating the customers about that offer please change the advertisement or stop the advertisement and i lost the amount many times kindly take the action on idea network.

                  I am Lalita A. Gaykar bearing cell Nos. [protected] with prepaid idea cellular connection. I have been noticing that every day some amount is been deducted without my knowledge for the some Joke package, which I have never requested or subscribed. This would require immediate rectification and the idea people should apologize for the same and it should not be repeated hereafter. I want my money back, which they have deducted for this subscription.
                  When I went to local Idea Dealer (Airavat comm., Opp. Tata Motors main gate, Gawade colony, Chinchwad, Pune - 411033) on Monday 20/12/2010 at 6:00pm, they told that automatically activated services will be stopped within 72 hours. But till date 24/12/2010 it is not stopped. Till deducts Rs. 5 to 6 daily.
                  Today again I went to the dealer to ask about it. The lady told me to dial 1234 for customer care which is paid service and request to stop these packages. I refused and removed SIM card and returned her and asked to give writen not that (Customer is returning the Sim card because of these unwanted paid services). Then she contacted to customer services and told them to stop all paid services.
                  My question is HOW THE MOBILE COMPANY ACTIVATE THESE PAID PACKAGES LIKE (JOKES, NEWS, DIALAR TONES ETC.) WITHOUT CUSTOMER'S AUTHORISATION??????? AND WHY SHOULD TAKES 72-72 HOURS TO DISCONTINUE THE PACKAGES??????????????????????

                    my idea connection is suspended without any prior notice. my connection is working from last four year and in this time span i have submitted my document two times at idea dealer and At idea outlet situated at Dainik Jagran chauraha Lucknow.
                    now they are again saying that document is required. it mean they are not working according to standard.
                    when i call to customer care they are saying you have to come to Lucknow for this(presently i am in noida), and they are also saying they dont have my document while i have receipt for that document.
                    please do something they are doing blunder at that position.

                      Dear Sir,

                      I started receiving sms and pre recorded calls from idea cellular that my documents are not correct and I need to deposit my passport size photograph, Proof of residence and proof of identity to nearest my idea centre otherwise my phone number will be blocked. I received first communication like this from them around 12 days back. Taking action immediately I reached to my nearest my idea centre which is at jaipuria complex, sector 26 noida and deposited all three documents after standing in long line and wasting my 2 important hours on December 17, 2010. The documents which I submitted with the prescribed form were
                      1) Photocopy of my Passport (Passport No: H8085698)
                      2) My self attested photograph
                      3) Copy of my PAN card (PAN No: AEMPT6469A)

                      If you do not find the above documents sufficient as proof of my existence on earth than you disrespect The President of India (as through my passport The President of India endorse my existence)

                      I was satisfied that I've completed all necessary formalities from my side, and was assured that nothing bad will happen with me. But despite of all necessary actions from my side, my two mobile numbers of idea [protected] and [protected] are blocked today, without any prior warning or notification to me. I am feeling harasses and cheated now as all my sources of communications have been blocked unnecessarily. I trusted on the services of idea and was regularly using these aforementioned numbers since last 3.5 years. Now they've deceived me and left me estranged. They give misleading advertisement in TV that get an idea and your life will be comfortable. This is how they take care of their customer comfort.

                      I am uploading the content of this mail on www.consumercomplaints.in as well as marking a copy to TRAI asking them that why should not they cancel the license of such companies like idea who are so insensitive to their consumer needs and welfare?

                      I am giving you 24 hours to resolve my issue and
                      1) Unblock my number
                      2) If your people at Chhaya Communications my idea centre at sector-26 Noida have lost my documents, then send them to my home with an apology letter to collect the copies once again.

                      Still if you do not respond to my mail in stipulated time I've further intentions to:
                      1) Start a mass mailing campaign against you.
                      2) Personally mail my around 5000 friends and acquaintances on social networking sites and request them to discard your services
                      3) I being a Professor of marketing will prepare a Case Study by collecting bad experiences of your harassed customers all across India and circulate it among my students and other Professors I know on Earth.

                      DEAR SIR
                      I AM YOUR CUSTOMER SINCE IT WAS LAUNCHED IN AKOLA WITH MOBILE NO [protected] AND [protected].
                      ON 11/7/2009 I ASKED AT YOUR OFFICE AT AKOLA [PIONEER] TO CONVERT THE [protected] AS PREPAID THEY ASKED ME FOR THE DOUCUMENT.
                      WHY SHOULD YOU ASK FOR THE DOCUMENTS FROM THE 10 YEAR OLD CUSTOMER.ANYWAY I GAVE EVERTHING THEY ASKED ME AN D GOT THE NO. CONVERTED TO PREPAID.
                      ON 27TH OF AUGUST I RECIVED THE MESSESAGE FROM IDEA THAT MY FORM IS REJECTED AND I HAVE TO REFIIL IT WITH ALL DOCUMENT AGAIN WITH IN 72 HOURS, THE NEXT DAY I DID ALL THE FORMALITIES BUT MY PHONE WAS DISCONECTED WITHIN 24 HOURS AND IT REMAINED DEAD FOR FOUR DAYS WITH THE BALANCE OF RS 700.00 IN IT I WAS NOT ABLE TO USE IT FOR FOUR DAYS. ONCE YOU HAD ACCEPTED MY FORM ON 11/07/2009 WHY IT WAS REJESTED ON 27/08/2009 AND THAT TOO OF TEN YEAR OLD REGULAR CUSTOMER.
                      I AM VERY UPSET WITH THE TREATMENT GIVEN TO ME AS I AM YOUR VERY OLD CUSTOMER AND STILL USING ONE POSTPAID CONNECTION.

                            I Kamal Kant Kaushik having Idea cellular mob. no. [protected] (Having Corporate plan ARP 699 with Rs.150/- for unlimited internet downloading) got activated blackberry services on my nokia e65 handset without my permission and prior notice. Because of that Idea send me a bill amounting to Rs. 2104/- (The Breakup of bill is Rs.299/- for Blackberry Services & Rs.1862/- for net surfing). The outgoing and icomings has been bared by Idea even I have complained about the issue to the Nodel Officer on 14.12.10. (The reference No. for the same is[protected] .

                              Conversion of Prepaid Number to Postpaid not done!!
                              Hi,


                              I got a call from Idea customer care regarding an offer to convert my prepaid number to postpaid number early this month. There was a representative of "RSM Finserv Ltd, TA-1A, 3rd Floor. Tughalakabad Extn. New Delhi-110019" ie, Mr Rahul - Phone number [protected]", who came to visit me on 08th December. We handed over a cash of Rs. 250 to him and he delivered us a SIM card.

                              I submitted my identity proofs. He assured us that the SIM card would be activated within 24hrs after the verification. I got a call from IDEA customer care once again mentioning that again a representative would visit me on 10th evening and I had to show him my original identity proof. However nobody turned up.





                              Now, since my SIM is not being detected by the cell. The message been displayed on my cell is "SIM card Registration Failed". After callling Mr Devender, who sent that representative, his Phone is Switched off. The problem persisted after that also and is still there. When I talked to their query assistant executive on their no that is mentioned on reciept copy is [protected] on Friday, he told us that representative will visit at my billing address on Monday evening to verify. But no one yet came. Again I called up on that number but when i called at this number nobody took the call if that rings, otherwise that number is also being off.

                              Elixir — Conversion of Prepaid Number to Postpaid not done!!

                              i got a call on my no. from the idea customer care in regard to convert my prepaid no. to postpaid on 27/06/09 and on the same day an executive had arrived to my office and collect rs.500 with one photos, voter card xerox and give me a reciept. After that i call them many times but they are no picking up the call, Sometimes they pick and say, this is not idea post paid office. I want my money back and the no. remain to be prepaid. i think this bpo is provide the worse service to there customer. i don, t expect the service of such type from idea.

                                Since past 2 days, we are facing major network issue @ Hinjewadi phase-2., Pune. We are not at all getting single network bar in our cell. Hence not able to make or receive call since past 3 days.

                                Nobody has taken any action on this. While calling to customer care we are not getting any kind of positive response. Even they are not ready to file a case / complain in your system. Our company is having[protected] Idea connection who are sitting at Hinjewadi office.

                                Is this the reason for “Switching to IDEA”? which you are bombarding every time in television ADS.

                                Same problem with my dads phone. Does not work in his house at model colony, work place or at baner area. Calls are constantly dropped and inspite of registering a complaint with customer service there is no improvement whatsoever

                                idea cellular service — network complaint

                                I Bought Idea sim 2 months back, and from that day i am facing problem with the services, because the network is very weak, and most of the times the signals are not available... and whenever i tried to contact customer care those people put the call on hold and disconnect after sometime,,,, and this happens around 10 times... they cut the call before listning the complaint.and afterwards the customre care says please try to contact aftern 24-48 hours...and whenever i call after 2-4 days the same thing happens... by luck one day they connected me to CC and the concerned said that their is a problem in sim and asked me to get it replaced it from the idea office free of cost because its a new sim,,, but again the office people asked me to pay for the new sim,,, its not a matter o money but where is my mistake. the problem is with Idea connection, so why should i pay for it... highly disappointing.. faced a lot of problems... wasteage of time, money.. the worst part was that the front office p[eople were not educated... don't have sense how to speak to customers...
                                In my city i m using idea network since 4 to 5 years. but before 2 years idea network is extremely poor. I complaint more than 40 times in 2 years also convert prepaid connection to postpaid for better performance as per guideline of idea customer care. but as i file a compliant to idea for network coverage & sending voice cracking every time company assign me 3-4 days time for resolve issue but every time company fail to solve this issue permanently till now (06-march-2015). I suffer two much business loss due to bad conversation with clients.

                                    I purchased a sim card number [protected] from idea company.I used this sim from 3 years recently company informed me to submit my identity proff i submit 2 times still now they are demand to submit bifore that thay disconnect my connection and issued this number to other the company also issued a duplicate sim card to me in marthahalli idea branch in bangalore,but it will not work till now When my frineds family members my office stoff called to that no recived by sum one and scolding us his wishing then i will call and inform to custremer care of idea they are not respond to me so please make a justices for me.

                                      My mobile number is[protected] and[protected]. and i am using this card since 2006. And i always pay the bill amount regularly. But last two years ago company charge 80-90 Rs. additional which is not payable. while this charge related i meet personally to office staff and thay told me your charges will be reverted in your next months bill but still company did not revert any charges even in November month company add some SMS charges (Rs. 244) which i have used on dated 06/11/2010. This day which is not a goverment holiday or not any special occation (Like Friendship Day or Valentine Day). While i pay the amount of this month i alredy inform to IDEA office i will not pay this amount and also mention in bill copy.
                                      From today they did not informed to me you pay this amount otherwise your calling will be stopped. And suddenlly company Baned my both the mobile.

                                      second thing in last week dated 11/11/2010 to 17/11/2010 i face some connectivity or network related problem so i complaint to customer care or even office but complained not solved as of 19/11/2010. so my concern is i am not liable to pay any single amount during this period.

                                      I hope you give me a positive and proper answer.

                                      I have deposited cheque on 17th july 09, not cleared by idea till date.
                                      So I called them for not clearing, After that they have registered a complaint for the same[protected] dated 4th Aug 09) saying it will be clarified by 7th aug 09. On next day they have call from pune, for giving the reason that I have mensioned the wrong amount in text & correct in letter.
                                      Meanwhile they have stopped my out going service.Also they have closed the main Customer care center in Aurangabad.Now they are saying that I shall visit to any My Idea showroom in Aurangabad for the collection of cheque, as they are kowing the things, they have not contacted me for the reason for single time.

                                      without any prior information they barred the number. after paying the bill also they are not responding properly.
                                      I had taken two sim Cards from Ajay Mane (Mobile [protected]) who has come from STATUS on behalf of IDEA. I had issued cheque no.895593 for Rs.650/- which was cleared on 8/9/11 for two sim cards. One sim Card activated (Mobile No. [protected]) in the last week of August-2012. 2nd sim was inactivate. We called the representative to start the second sim but no has come to our resident. My husband went to the IDEA Galllery situated at Lower Parel requested the representative to start the second sim, he submitted all the documents to start the service. We called the person who has given us the sim i.e. Ajay Mane but he did not turned up to our request. I got the bill from Idea for the period 12 August-2012 to 11 September-2012 for Rs.146.00. I don't the my Sim no. (Mobile [protected]) activated in the last week of August. Though I got the bill for one month with hidden cost. Then I got mail from Aditya Birla, Collection Centre, Mumbai reminding me to pay the same. In this context I talk to RM- Mohd. Ibrahim & I told him that I am not more interested in your scheme. Regarding my payment you adjust from the money which is with you for the second sim and close the matter. But they did not listen to my request. Again and again they are harrasing me to pay the amount of bill which is now more than Rs.450/- (tentative). After 15 September-2012 I had stop using the their sim. But then also they charging me. I always got the call from [protected] to pay the amount of bill. I told them also to adjust my payment from the money which I had paid to you for second sim (which is still not activate) and close the matter. They are least bother about such things. They say you pay first and then adjust your money. I told them it is with your mobile company adjust from it. I have the paper which is given by Ajay Mane. Also you can check the status of mobile no.[protected].

                                      Please do the needful in the matter and also give relief me from such calls.

                                        Dear Sir,

                                        We have received a telephone bill for amout 13878 last month and in that one of the call made to an international number was shown as Rs 6000 and the duration was 60 mins. This was shown in the billing that this call is made from my wifes mobile number. We have no idea on who's number this is and for that matter no idea which country code this call was made to. Me and my wife complained to the Idea cellular group that we have not made this call and still they are trying to push thse charges on us. We have no choise other than reaching a consumer forem for justise in this case and request for your help regarding the same.

                                        Please advice me on the course of action for the same!
