This is to bring to your notice (I don't know how many times I have to do this) the huge number o[censored]nsolicited telemarketing SMSs and calls I receive.

While I routinely delete the messages, now I got one yesterday from IZ-55456 informing me that I have been enlisted as subscriber at Rs 40/- a month-- god knows for what. I tried to deactivate my subscription by sending an SMS to 155223 but I simply could not do it. I cannot imagine anything more absurd than this. I have never given any consent to anything like this and I cannot even stop it. Pl block it once and many others, such as[protected], BA-VnV and many others. This is simply getting too much. I often miss important SMSs because I am not sure which one is genuine and which one is one and there is no way I can go on checking every SMS I get.

And marketing callers have a peculiar knack of bugging when one is extremely busy in some meeting or other. Hope you take this seriously and deal with this.

I agree to this. Even I keep receiving too many such messages from Idea on a daily basis. I even raised a complaint for this to stop such messages. They say they are not sending it. It clearly has "Idea" written in the sms content. Later they said it is not possible to stop such messages.

I know atleast in Airtel Vodafone there are options to stop sending such messages. Idea customer service is just too too bad. Every now n then facing some problem or the other.

    hi my name is sanjay i had taken a new idea netsetter conection 5 months before, from last 2 months it is not working i had given complaint so many times but customer care has not given any response,after 2 months they are asking about two months rent, can u pls help to get a new connection or the same connection will work, because i had paid 2000 for purchasing netsetter. my idea netsetter number is [protected],

    Idea Netsetter — wrongly charged for Net Setter

    Dear sir/madam,
    Kindly note that i am being wrongly directed by your gallerly executive from bhandup west gallely. they told that if i take a plan of rs 599 I cam excess internet free bening a promotional offer but i came to kkow that my money was being deducted about rd 80 plus for surfing .Is it fair to deduct the amount from my balance, after that i contacted your customer care they told me that your service will be activated in 48 hours time, since i have used this service the amt is deducted. kindly note whom should I blame myself or your executive. note that i have being cheated .will i get back my money back, pl reply me or whom should i contact in mumbai for my greviences

      I have a idea prepaid sim card. I have recharged it for long life by Rs. 195.00. and after that i have been troubling with DND problem. This problem has started automatically.
      I had given complaint to Idea Cellular 4-5 times, but they did not follow my complaint to solve it.

      My cell no. is [protected]. I have a Idea Cellular lifetime incoming prepaid account. I keep getting service messages constantly which keep my inbox chock full of messages. The moment I delete one, another new message takes its place. With every message, an amount of 3 to 4 rupees is deducted from my account. [protected], is suffering from this prob since last 1.5 months.after every 15 days there is an automatic deducion of Rs 45 from my balance regarding activation of some models download.this scheme i have alredy deactivated 1.5 months back and reported to customer care execuitive hundreds of time..
      This is the 4th time idea cellular has deducted my balance without my kwnoledge..after complaining everyday, i have received a message from you regarding refund of deducted charges but my balance is not yet updated!!

      Idea Cellular — Deducting Money without any notice

      Hi, Today at 11AM, 6 Rs ( 3+3) deducted from my Mobile ( [protected]) as SMS charge. and When I checked , I found i have not sent any SMS. When I called 198 and told them that I have not sent any message , they are telling "Why you are telling Lie" Really this is very rude behavior from IDEA customer care.       one of you c.c.representtative called me, and he told me that i am offered a one year dialer tone(idea jingle tone) free of cost and also they will decrese my call charges 10p/sec. for one month.


      i asked him repeatedly that donn't i 've to pay any rental for that he said no.

      after few minutes later an other c.c.representative called me and told me about the scheme...

      gain i asked him about the rental n all that..!


      he told me that it's not free i 've to pay rs.-199. for one year subscription..!

      then i told him that i'm not interested please don't activate this kind of service in my no.


      i also told him that i already have activated DND for these kind of promotional services..

      after ening the call i called idea c.care to be sure for not activating this feature..


      but without listenning to me they deducted money from my account


      1st- r.s-23

      then- r.s-199

      and again-r.s-15.

      all total r.s-(23+199+15)=237.




      after the money deduction from my account i spoke with super visor he consoled me that they will contact me next day wthin 5.56pm.. but they didn't.




      now i'm thinking to make case against idea cellular in consumer forum court..

      this trishnku, i have been using idea number([protected]) in west up for more than two year, and i lost my number befor two month .and i got it again from idea center ...
      but the problem is that i have didection on my number without any information, and i had word with customer care regarding this but the response was zero, they told me that they had already activated service on my number while i didn't get any message or IBR call from idea side, but i have a diduction,
      i want to inform you that i am going to campliant it in your west idea zone and cunsumer cort also,
      I am requesting to you please disconect all the service from my number and returen all the diduction which had didcuted from mobile.
      And even your customer care, they are very rudly and had misbehaive with me reagarding this complaints that's why i was forced to write your wesbsite and on aditiya email address also

      please give me solution as soon as posible because i want return all my dediuction .

      my name is Rajesh Sharma, my mobile no. is [protected], I live is Dholpur Rajesthan., I am recharged my mobile with Rs.125/, most of this amount suddenly it shoes zero balance, after that I again recharged with Rs.125/- at the night of 18.03.12, now again balance is Zero, but your call detail shows only uses Rs.5.20 from 19.03.12 to 22.03.12 ( 5pm).

      it is matter of sincere regret that my balance is being deducted like this. Please look in the matter and help, otherwise I will helpless to continue your mobile service.

        i m having idea co mobile no [protected] since last 10mnths and having a bad experience from them.
        idea cellular company starts VAS service on my no without request and intimation regularly , and the balance gets deducted from the account for that services. i have to call regularly to there costomer care center and ask them to stop that services and alway i take asurance from the excutive that i dont need any VAS sevice on my No. but second day again the same service gets renewed. the excutive doesnt have any records how this service starts and they just says its requested by me. i had never called or send message for any such srevices. but this haapens every day and my 1-3rs gets deducted from my account ,which is never returned to my account. i m facing this problem last more than 2months. on the other hand when we contacts to costomer care of idea they use to ask so many unwanted question to stop services, if we fails to give any 1answer wrong then they doesnt attend our request. it is a kind of harresment what i m facing from this idea no. our hard earn money just goes like this only.
        i request to idea that please stop all such thing to be a good company , this company is a part of Aditya birla group and never expected such kind of white collar crime from them.

          I am Daniel Raj, i took idea post paid connection on 19th july and paid security deposit of Rs.300. My identity proof goes wrong and my connection was negative, so they call barred my no. the no i got connection is [protected] and the connection lasts for only one week. the dealer provided some alternates to reactivate but everything failed. i told that ill quit the connection. but the provider is saying that the amount will be refunded within 45 days after cancellation. my connection totally cancelled on 31st august,2010 after that it was nearly 45 days over and i didnt receive my deposit amount. kindly revert for this complaint as soon as possible.

          Deposit - Rs.300
          usage charge - Rs.149

          they have to provide the balance of Rs.150

            Hi,

            I am Sanket Panchal, my cell number is [protected](Gujarat). On this month I got the bill of Rs. 4104, in which they have charged me 2778 Rs. for GPRS. I have activated my GPRS skim 99 rs/month usage upto 2 GB. Then also they charged me for GPRS service. Customer care Representative told me that the GPRS 99 skim has been stopped, and idea cellular send a latter to home address to everyone, then they told me, in the system the conformation is not showing that whether the latter has sent to me or not..!!

            I am using idea cellular from last 3 yrs and I took the postpaid connection for last year for the same number. I don't know what to do..?? Please see to this issue..

            Idea Cellular — bill over charged

            respected sir,
            i received a bill 5955.56 dt 2 nov 2009 mobile no [protected] invoice no.[protected] fot the period of 2nd oct to 2nd nov 2009.
            my mistake was i damned used your international roaming facilities and in return i got so many other charges in my bill, i deposited rs 2000 as an extra security apart from the security of rs2500 that i already had before ,now they have charged me again rs 2000 and additional rs2000. out of which one amount was adjusted but other is still there.
            now after all this i went to your local office in agra on 9th nov omnitel where i met mr shafiq who assured me my charges would be adjusted till 25 th nov 2009 he was able to adjust just rs 500 i spoke to your manager here but of no use he assured but no reply til yet i called your office where i speak to manu but she didnt reply .its hopless to see your services are just rubbish worst part is this that my outgoing call is barred see my damn bill for last so many years you will never see any default in payment, this how you treat a loyal customer .

                  Idea is deducting daily Rs.5/- for games subscribtion but i had not subcribed it.A renewal message is received at my Idea Prepaid mobile no (Your daily Idea Game box subscribsion had been renewed you have been charged 5/- per day.To unsubscribe sms UNSUBGBX TO 55435).

                            My mother is using IDEA sim just for making calls, on the 1st October there was a message from IDEA that some combo pack has been activated @ Rs 2/day. we had not subscribed for any such combo packs, there was a toll free number also present in the sms for deactivation, I called the toll free number and pressed the numbers so as to deactivate the service. I also called customer care . PLEASE NOTE THE CUSTOMER CARE NUMBER FOR IDEA IS NOT TOLL FREE, FIRST TIME I'VE SEEN CALL TO CUSTOMER CARE IS BEING CHARGED.
                            The customer care professional was not of much help, he kept repeating that his system is showing that we have activated the service whereas we had never done so, I told him about the deactivation stuff, he said it was fine. I even spoke to his supervisor Biltu Saha who kept repeating that the service was enabled from my end, they were least bothered to hear to my complaint.
                            Next morning I get the same sms for combo pack, I call up customer care again and this time the same Mr. Biltu Saha says the procedure for deactivation would not work since the toll free number was not working. He never bothered to tell me this during the first call, THIS IS HOW THEY HARASS CUSTOMERS AND MAKE THEM SPEND MONEY ON CALLING CUSTOMER CARE. He took a complaint for deactivation and said the service would be deactivated by next morning 10 am. 2 days after that I get a sms that the request for deactivation could not be services, please contact customer care. AGAIN I CALL UP CUSTOMER CARE AND SPEND MONEY ONLY TO BE TOLD THAT THE SERVICE HAS BEEN DEACTIVATED. THE SMS MAY HAVE BEEN SENT BY MISTAKE. THE LADY KEEPS ME ON HOLD FOR 10 MINS BEFORE I HAND UP WHEN I ASK HER TO CONNECT ME TO HER SUPERVISOR.
                            This kind of service is not expected. I've planned to throw away the SIM once the amount I've recharged gets over.
                            I would request you to take strict action against IDEA for these fraudulent practices.

                              I have purchased a prepaid idea sim with no [protected]. I submitted all the documents required forprepaid connection. After my Sim was activated i also recharged it by Rs201 sucessfully. After two days of activation my no. was disconnected and on enquiry i was told to resubmit the documents at the nearest IDEA showroom.
                              I again submitted the douments on 1st Oct2010 at Balanagar IDEA
                              showroom in Hyderabad. But still my no is not been activated. It has been
                              more than 15 days when i have purchased the SIM and is not able to use it.
                              I have repeatidily tried to solve the problem with the help of IDEA
                              customer care of AP as well as the IDEA showroom in balanagar hyderabad
                              but in vain. On 5th Oct i was told that my no is corrupted and it won't be
                              able to re-activate it and i wont be refunded the Rs 201 recharge amount
                              as well as the 36 Rs sim charge.
                              Thus i request your kind intervention in this matter to get my sim
                              re-activated by directing the concerned people or provide for the refund
                              of the recharge amount.

                                Hello Respected Sir/Madam,

                                I am Idea Net setter customer and my Idea number is[protected].
                                I have a complain against my August as well as September 2010 bill.

                                I have 299 rs - 500 MB free download plan.
                                I am using Idea USB device only with my Laptop , Every month 1st date i am resetting it to 0. No one else uses this card and i also dont use with any other laptop or

                                any other pc.

                                As per your company's "Idea Net Setter" tool, at the end of the september month (30-th september), it is showing
                                Upload Data = 88.12 MB and Downloaded data = 396.31 MB. so total will be 484.43 MB which is well less then 500 MB.

                                Then also i got charge for extra usage of 80 MB = 160.00 ruppees. so that means my total usage as per your idea net setter should be 580 Mb. i can understand that tool

                                may not be 100% accurate , but its impossible that the diffrence between the total usage will be 580 - 484.43 = 95.57 MB. How that is possible?
                                SO either your tool is showing wrong or either the amount for which i am getting charged that is wrong.

                                Same thing happened for me for August month. and that time customer care person gave me 150 rs discount.
                                I am not asking for duiscount for september month, i want to know why there is a diffrence of 95.57 MB? how that is extra?

                                I had a word with Customer care executive "Snehal " as well as "Vishal Brahmbhatt - Handling MI", They told me they can not help me in any way. and asked me to contact

                                the customer care.

                                Apart from that i am getting charged for Late payment fee of 11.62, but when i raised a query with snehal, he told me he will update me about the bill date and even if

                                i am getting charged he will reversal it.
                                But now today when i visited Idea customer care office - sector 16, he kept quite on this.

                                So as a result of this what i am understanding is what ever idea will charge i have to pay with out any doubt. so may be tomorrow idea will charge for 10 GB and ask me

                                to pay the amount. I am not getting this as fare play and want to know the exact reson behind this.

                                When i told that i have taken screen shot of the idea net setter tool, Vishal is telling that is not the proper way. then what is the proper way? can you please tell

                                me. I also attached september net setter screen shot with thisn email.

                                  Idea Cellular has been popularising discount scheme called " Double talk time" for Post Paid users.
                                  There was a call on 11th of Sept saying "Your number has been selected as preferred user and we are giving a discount of Rs. 75/- for next one year" When asked for charges, it was clearly stated that there are no charges whatsoever on this scheme. So I activated the scheme.
                                  But to my shock Idea deducted Rs 750/- for this scheme in the next month's Bill.
                                  I enquired through mail to which no response was given.

                                    Sir,
                                    I lost 2 idea prepaid sim cards ( Nos: [protected] and [protected]) with purse while travelling by bus. I have tried to suspend the service to my sim cards requesting at idea outlet in person with address proof and copy of my reciept of the petition from cherpulasseri Police Station. But they refuse to block the sim telling that no such facility available for prepaid costemers. when dialing my lost sim numbers the phone rings and somebody attended after a number of attempts, but the answer was "Babbbaabbba". It is sure that the number is being used by sombody.
                                    I request that the facilty may be given to all subsribers to suspend the service at least from the connection issuing authority

                                    I have Idea prepaid SIM and I had complained that some unauthorized call are coming to my number and they were related to some betting in cricket and I kept receiving call from so many other number which was not actually my the person who was calling me was neither intending to call me. He/she was calling for some other number and I was receiving call and some suspicious activity was running on my cell no.([protected]) and when I complained to customer care, they did not paid attention to my complain and they block my SIM immediately so please do some need full

                                    Idea Cellular Ltd — Sim blocked without notice

                                    my idea no. [protected] was activated on 09/11/09 up to 10 pm but after some time it became out of service without of any prior notification .
                                    Sir,

                                    Am Sonia, Buy 2 simcard from a show room near kodambakam. But one was blocked withouth intimation([protected]). I gave same proof for the two numbers. When i approached the customer care in nungambakkam, they checked and told me that they do not receive the proof for one of the number. So they asked to resubmit the proof, i resubmit the proof last saturday[protected] and asked for 48 hrs.

                                    After that also i don't receive any call from idea and my is not solved, so i contact the T.nagar customer care, from that i came to know that nungambakkam customer care should not forward the proof. Again i resubmit the proof in T.nagar service centre[protected] afternoon. And waiting... but my problem is not cleared still...

                                    I don't know what to do. Please do the needful.

                                    u r service are so poor and bad, i had give life time my post paid card and refill 3000 Rs. in between without notice you disconnet my mobile your cheated my your idea prafomance are poor.my number are [protected]

                                      sir,
                                      I was using a number [protected] in Delhi and thereafter I came bangalore but I was using that number. as the recharge faciality is not available in bangalore for numbers of outstation idea consumer I could not recharge it but this number was active. from last week the number shows invalid sim in my mobile. on contacting customer care executive of idea cellular Delhi I got a reply that this number is issued for selling in market as i have not used it for last three months about which I have not been given any information that my number is going to be disconnected and without informing me they have stopped service to this number and issued it for sale in market.
                                      so i request you to please suggest me next course or action.

                                        Dear Sir,

                                        I have received a call from idea distributer -Noida Sec-64, for a postpaid plan. i agree with plan and given 500 rs for activation. But for 2-3 days my no was not activated then i call the same person who is given me a plan and also contact with the field boy who collect the money from me. But after one week they was not picked my phone and they said no one can do him worng. i told him i file a complaint then they said nothing will happen with him.
