[Resolved] Idea Cellular — Unfair Business Practice- to extort extra money. | |||
Harassment by Idea Cellular Limited. Dear Sir, On 26/2/2013 we have handed over full & final payment of above mentioned Idea Mobile numbers by cheque to official of Mobile Company Mr.Mahindra under official receipt No. 362670 dated 26/2/2013 & also in writing requesting for disconnection of mobile numbers immedietly. Mr.Mahindra confirmed us that mobile numbers will be disconnected immidietly and company will not raise any bills in future as we have made full & final payment at the time of surrender of our mobile numbers. We were shocked when when we recived new fresh bills , we immedielty lodged complaint at Idea Cellular Gallery at Dombivli East & also sent emails .Instead of cancelling raised bills which are even generated after the surrender of mobile numbers , recovery agents of cellular company frequently started telephone calls , which are abusive , insulting causing undue harassment, mental & emotional tensions, inconvenience , agony , waste of time , discormfort & also defamation. I add that cellular company is indulging in unfair trade practice, illegal means and extortive approach. It has grossly violated and continue to breach customer rights. Even after number of emails to Nodal officer & customer care , company forcing me for payments of bills which are generated even after the surrender of our mobile numbers. i had a post paid no. [protected] which was valid for 2 yrs. The no. was not being used from quite a long time . And the customer care executives were told about it. Now, after the validity period i have received a bill around Rs 160 to 170 and the new plan has been activated without my concern . So, i request you to disconnect this no. as soon as possible. bill*

Idea Cellular Ltd; — Unfair Trade Practice
Idea Cellular Ltd; is showing on advertisement that Idea is always providing better network coverage than any other mobile service operator but as per our personal experiences we had already faced more than 70% call drop & 10% cross connections on Idea Cellular’s Connection (post paid), even for the same all authorities of Company Confirmed (written confirmation through mail from Sep 2009 onwards) that this issue is genuinely there but can’t commit specific time to resolve the same & whatever charges Idea is charging that have to pay by consumer. Within last 8 months we had already surrendered more than three connections of Idea. Our government & community felt that service providers must be more aware to sort out consumer’s problems as Mobile Portability is already launched in the market but just the reverse had been shown by the service providers, like now they are being more crucial to the consumers & the interesting thing is that government departments made for consumers help are just use to say if any consumer is lodging complaint to them, that we only could ask service provider about the issue, couldn’t punish them and, one great thing is like service providers are submitting the different statements to government authority & consumer both for one particular issue, how regrettable all this is going on in our country.Experiences observed on Through Idea Connection [protected].
