Hello,

My name is Goutam. I am from Mohammadwadi, Pune. I have taken Idea 3G net connection. However, I am getting only a speed from 2.0 - 4.0 kbps. This is simply cheating as they are charging for 3G but I am getting speed which is even lower that 2G.

Please help me reslving it.

Idea — speed is very slow

I have IDEA net setter and the downloading speed is very slow can anyone give me solution for it .......

I have purchace an Idea high speed internet connection i.e. net setter high speed EDGE/GPRS Mobile internet wireless data speedup to 236.8kbps and Iam getting20.5kbps only and dissconnecting, no response from the company after complain to IDEA (WHAT A BAD IDEA ) please suggest what to do?????????
I am using the same connection. As u rightly pointed out, the download speed turns out to be seriously slow so as a dial up connection of 56Kbps.

Dear concerned,

Self had sent an request yesterday to activate WAP connection in mobile, it is more than 32 hr there is no response from your side. when self had talk to your customer care executive, they said that i need to wait for one more day to get it activated. just of activation of wap IDEA is taking so long time what about other service offered by IDEA. very very disappointing to note the above incident. There is no proper response from customer care & they all give false commitments then, they will not adhere the same. Too much of frustration by following for activation with customer care. self will really take a step back the recommend you service to others.

Hope you take it on priority & do the needful at the earliest.

Idea — Very low speed

I buy idea net setter in hope of that i get limit speed and its sufficient for my work
but its all "bull ". Now i buy another net connector of Reliance the speed is superb nd i am happy with reliance. Shame for IDEA company.

Inspite of repeated complaints to idea customer care no action has been taken NET speed.

I am living Iin Goa.I recharged my 3G net setter with a pack of 651RS i was getting 7.2 MBPS till the limit of 3 GB but then it suddenly gave me maximum downloading speed which is 1.5-2 KBps can anyone tell me why is this happening...if this continues yhen i think we all should go for BSNL 3G because it is providing us with 5GB data with a recharge of RS-550 however the speed is nit gr8 as IDEA but we can manage...

    Dear Sir,

    I am a subscriber of Idea 3G Post Paid connection bearing no [protected]. It has not been running properly for about a ten days now. I was constrained to register a complaint vide no communication id- 1510608 on May 15, 2013. After repeated reminders I was told that Customer Care would get in touch with me to resolve the issue.
    The customer care from Srinagar informed me telephonically that the issue arose because of a defective 3G Device and advised me to buy/ get a new device.
    I immediately purchased a new 3G Device but the situation didnt improve.
    I once again informed the Company Customer care and they asked me to report to their office at Karan Nagar Srinagar along with the device and SIM.
    The Customer Care Executive, Mr Noman, heard me patiently and also checked the records on the system. He informed me that neither the SIM not the Device had any issues but the fault was due to an erroneous system command. he promised me that the issue would be resolved by afternoon.
    I had to call him again and he informed me that the matter had been sorted out. However the assurance was not correct. The problem persists. Dont really know whom to trust.
    Switching over to IDEA was indeed a horrible IDEA. I cannot help but regret the decision.

        Well I have got that gprs data in mah phone, but I can not activate it, I have called idea customer care for 5 times, still no resolution, they can not give me the settings, I have visited idea store for 6 times with no luck, its been four days that I have the phone NOKIA LUMIA 720 but without internet I must say, I am tired now....an advice....???Please....

          I have a number [protected] on billing on the name and address of Rohit choudhary s/o niranjan choudhary st no 2,swami viveka nand nagar, 33foota road, Giaspura ludhiana. with in last four month I give my address document for my address proof three times. but they still print my address wrong on bill.when I visit idea care showroom which is situated at R k road, zoom building, ludhiana. they use wrong word with me . now I want to port out from this company due to wrong behave and not correct my address.
          If I want I can file a illegal case regarding wrong use of my documents.
          but not want to use that.

            I have done 3G recharge of 1GB worth Rs.249/- on 12th May 2013.On 17th May my 3G services were stopped without any sms,call from Idea.
            When I contacted customer care I was informed that request was made from customer for stopping the service.When I asked him about intimation of same from operator the executive said that no intimation is done by company in this case.
            When I asked him to log complaint he refused me by saying that complaint cannot be logged in this case & he is transferring call to his senior.
            After sometime call was disconnected & no complaint was logged.
            I did not made any request for same & services were stopped from operator end.
            This type of issue has also been observed previously.

            Idea — services start without any intimation

            i was very satisfied with services provided by idea. But now from last month,
            automatically services get started and my balance is deducted. On sending the deact message, the message is not able to send, after hot discussion idea agreed to return 10 rs to my account.
            in last week again triple bonanza service is activated automatically and in 6 days my 30 rs. got deducted, on discussion with customer care, they are not ready to repay back my balance.
            If this will be the case then i will not be able to go with Idea.

              sir,

              Recently i am getting calls from "Unkonwn Caller" where there is no calling number displayed,but simply displays "Unknown Caller",when i try to callback i could not see the number, So i called the customer care about "Unknown Caller",they are not aware of the type of call and trying to say something else,but finally the call is all about "Caller Tunes" ,telling a recorded voice to select any of these tunes and press the number for selection.

              My point here is 1)The customer care is not responsive and not aware of its services

              2) Privacy, i blocked all incoming numbers except my phone book, i could not block the number ,because there is no number at all. i am still getting the incoming number
              3) Also, the is a chance of spying my phone, and no one could trace it. Because now a days anyone can spy on any mobile in the world,due to lack of govt policies.
              4)In case the call is from voip phone or software or If someone has the authority to call without reveleaing theire caller id(using *67#.*131#,before the dialing number in some countries is allowed to hide the caller id),There is chance of serious privacy concern who receives the call.
              5) ALso the Detective agencies should stop distributing the spying software to its clients.


              When we get a call and shows no number and displays "Unkown Caller" ,it is really annoying and frustrating when the customer care could not make any response.to it. Care should be taken by the service providers.

                Dear All,

                IDEA cellular is charging rupees 150 on the name on MOBILETV for which user are not requesting

                On 15 April 2013 rupees 18 was deducted for MOBILETV for 4 days, I have called up call centre they say SMS for deactivation
                On 19 April 2013 I have deactivated the service via SMS

                On 19 April 2013 they SMS that your subscription is renewed and after repeated deactivation
                On 19 May 2013 they have deducted 150 from my account

                I think IDEA is collecting money in unethical means by sending SMS
                As psychologically we ignore the SMS of the service provider, here IDEA got an IDEA to snach the people money. I felt very bad as people who cannot read such SMS and been victimised by IDEA on the name of providing MOBILETV service.

                This is a Business tactise and unethical practise by IDEA.

                Very Bad way of earing Money, I am sure IDEA cellular your IDEA of collecting money this way will lead you nowhere.

                Please stop this kind of Practise.

                  My sister bill is pending ,idea executive calling and using very abusive language , they are calling ever member in the call list like my sister manager , friends , relatives .This is not right way to claim the bill .There is one girl in idea cellular , she is using very bad language.

                  Kindly take strict action towards this.

My payment is overdue and I have told the representative that I will clear the same as soon as I can (kindly check my payment history as well)but executives are using very rude,abusive and downgrading language.

                  I understand that I am a very small customer to your very big organisation but I also understand one thing that this is not the way to treat any customer big or small.
                  I am an idea customer for past 8 to 9 years now; but if am I going to get this kind of treatment henceforth, with heavy heart; I should choose a different service provider(which I know idea will laugh it off or dare me to do so)

                    I Sunil Kumar Chandil have a postpaid mobile connection of Idea cellular with 99 rental charge Plan.
                    I have been Paid my bill from last two year without any complaints, but last few months i got bill amount much higher in which they include extra call charge, CUG charges ( that is the free facility) etc...

                    so when i called to call center then they told me, you have to paid the given amount & extra amount will be adjusted in next month but this activity is happening again & again to cheat the customer.

                    so please take strong action against company.

                    Idea Cellular — Forgery

                    Hello Sir,

                    I recieved a call from 'Neha' on behalf of Idea Cellular she told me about a plan of 600 rupees. i agreed with that plan, she called me again and told me that i am sending an executive, pay all amount to them and ur plan will be activated with in 2 hour. i have paid all the money but till now the service is not activated on my number.

                    i got call from these two numbers ([protected], [protected]) but now both numbers are switched off.
                    and i got first call from idea cellular with toll free number ([protected]).
                    this a case of forgery sir i am requesting to you please help me and others so that no other person get victem by that kind of persons.

                    I am a idea pre paid user ,I checked out the 3g offers in kerala publishned in idea's offical site .....But when i called many times to the customer care executives they said that theres no offer in 497 recharge ,but in site there we can see that in the bottom of the prepaid tariff " samsung bundle offer " @ 497 there they shown that 2 gb/mnth for 3 months (http://www.idea3g.co.in/prepaid.php?circle=Kerala) page address attached .

                      "I have recharged my mobile no. [protected] for Rs.90on[protected] at 11am. in the Freecharge.in website. But my recharge was failed so i want to my refund.
                      i have not refund granted yet. Complaint came again I reply you will receive refunds in few Working Days.I have not yet granted. I sent numerous mails to their e-mail id [protected]@freecharge.com regarding this. But no reply has been received till date.

                        We Hogo Works Solutions Pvt. Ltd. Closed our my idea gallery with prior notice of one month from 01st August, 2012 and immediately after one month which is 01st September, 2012 the shop was closed which is located at Shop no D-27, Pooja enclave, Off IMP factory, Ganesh Nagar, Kandivali (W) Mumbai – 400067. There is no due payment which was/is supposed to be made from Hogo Works to your esteemed organization (Idea). We kindly wanted to draw your attention towards the security fund which we have not received as yet. As per the agreement we should have received our deposit money after 3 month from date of Closure of my idea gallery.

                        We have constantly followed up with your area manager of ganesh nagar area but there is not response at all from his end & till date which is the beginning of the fifth month and we have not heard anything from you regarding the return of our deposit money.

                        We kindly request you to reply to this email and help us in resolving the issue at the earliest without avoiding any further delay will be highly appreciated.

                        i have baught two postpaid connection of idea no. is [protected] &[protected]. the idea costomer care was called me to u have a new offer on your no..so that i have baught the two connection in RS 600.after buying the connection the costomer care call me to give me some more money so that i can activate your connection.after 10 days delay in activation i register the complain in idea shop regarding the surrender of connection and refuned my money .then after the idea head office call me and give me a number where i can get the money.i call to this no. the no. is switched off many days. so how can i get the money ,please help me.

                        As i was a customer of postpaid no[protected] & i deposited 600/- rs for connection in which 300/- rs was for security but after i submitted the bill n all many a times i followed up but they didnt returned me the money
                        plz tell me the proper steps so that i can get my refundable money or else i have to do another action on u

But My mistake I paid this amout two times where my fone completely disconnectd and when i tried to contact your customer care by fone via ur outlet in Zakir Nagar, they told me that your refund or check will provided within or after 45 days. where I claimed this case on 25 july or first week of Agust.

                        So can you think about this that where u disconnected my fone due to amout where you are unable to refund me my 932 after 3 months any one of you have answer..

                        No any action is yet taken by you....
                        I thinki all of you are insisting me to to take and visit consumer court..

                        Still I am waiting for response but they tell me that ur comp;lain is in process where this is only for 40-45 days.

                        I have requested for Missed call alerts, but they have not activated this facility. They are charging me for this facility without activating the Missed call alerts. They did not given me refund, as they told i have given the complaint very late.

                          i am using idea postpaid connection form last 6 month but now idea cellular limited deactivate my phone due to non payment of last operator (vodafone) bill.

                          i have submitted the copy of payment receipt (vodafone) in Idea customer service center , ansari road, darya ganj, new delhi-110002 in dated 11.05.13. They said your phone will be activate in 24 hours but after six days my phone not activate so far.

                          i have sent so many calls & mail to idea but they are refuse to help me and said you should go vodafone but now i am customer of idea ltd thean why i should go vodafone.. i am facing serious problem and lossing my business for that reason.

                              Idea Cellular — selling defective piece and no support from idea cellular

                              I purchased the idea internet data card on 13 apr. 2009. An SMS came to my mobile containing "high speed anytime anywhere internet ideal for home office students professionals. Best buy 2490/- for USB data card. No CD required. Call sms [protected].

                              I called the no mentioned and enquired. lady named Radha Gupta (so called) told me that she will send a lady named Shalini to my residence and she will give me the usb card for 2490+310 (data card plus one month unlimited surfing time.).

                              The lady came to my residence in the alto and sold me the data card after submission of photocopy of my photo ID. She told me that it will activate within one hour and then I can surf.

                              After some time I got the activation message (SMS). But the surfing was not available. I contacted the lady (Radha Gupta) she told that it will take 2 to 3 hrs to start internet. After that I restarted the computer and connected the net, it started nut after 2 minutes it disconnected. After some time I restarted computer again and connected. It remain connected just for 1 minute.

                              I asked the lady and told my problem she told me to call [protected] (customer care).
                              Mr. Saurabh attended the phone on customer care. He told me to go to idea store where the problem will be addressed. I went to jaipuria plaza sec 26 Noida. Initially the persons there refused to address any problem but later on person checked the datacard and found the problem. He advised me to call the persom from whom I purchased the card.

                              I contacted the lady and she assured me thar tomorrow (17 apr) shalini will come to you and get the things done.

                              Later on calling the lady refused to help, ignored my phone calls and behaved bad.

                              I am so embarrassed from all this.

                              I not only lost 2800 Rs. My precious time, my phone charge (above 150 Rs.).

                              Idea person came to me to sale their product and even just after selling they didn’t responded and behaved so rudely.

                              Kindly look into the matter seriously.

                              Idea Cellular — No proper information about products and misbehaviour

                              My idea cell number is [protected]. Its validity got over on 22nd june'09 on that very evening itself i paid 660 Rs. AFTER CONFIRMATION FROM IDEA CUSTOMER CARE that this amount is an army recharge pack with validity for 1 year and WILL SUPPORT ALL VALUE VOUCHERS which IDEA COMPANY IS OFFERING.
                              The recharge was successful but now they say that this army pack does not supports any value voucher...!!!
                              The confirmation was taken by one shop executive herself and now it is just that they are denying...!!!
                              The lady says she confirmed it and she is still trying to recharge Rs. 385 value voucher which now I know will not be done till 23rd June'10...!!!
                              I am really upset because i know this is an expensive deal for me since I do call a lot...!!!
                              Kindly help me out...
                              Please guide me the further steps to teach them 1 thing..."DONT COMMITT IF YOU CANT FULFILL"

                                DAILER TONE SELECTION

                                Hello ,
                                Today May 14th i got a Pre-recorded call from IDEA for Dialer Tone selection,
                                i did not select any song, i just disconnected the call,
                                I got a message after 2 hours saying "Dialer Tone selection is Activated"
                                I called IDEA CC & he says call after 2 hours, he don't hv updated info on my balance,

                                If i say take a complaint, He again says call after 2 hours,

                                What is this, People don't have any other work other than calling CC,
                                or its the trick to make customers get bored & stop calling CC ??

                                IDEA CC, i have de-activated the service you just refund the amount or i dont want to have response like "Please get in touch with our CC ".

                                Its too much, if this time issue isn't solved, i will port to Aircel .

                                Idea Cellular Ltd — Dialer Tone renewal

                                Sir/Madam,
                                I am using this Idea services since last 10 yrs. I have never asked for the dialer tone to set to my mobile No.: [protected]. I do not know how without asking the dialer tone is set/ and also it get renewed every month. which they charge. SmS me from IZ-55456.

                                This is sorry state from the best service provider ( Idea).
                                I do not need any Dialer Tone. Please closed the Dialer tone services from my mobile.

                                  On contineous asking for Rs. 300 as he has already paid on behalf of me, I have given Rs 300 on dated 08.04.2013 to your Idea Executive Mr, Akbar Khan Pathan - Business Dev Officer - (Contact No [protected]) as he has already deposited Rs. 300/- on behalf of my new add on connection for Mobile Number [protected] - For this matter i have again sent mail to IDEA Care.

                                  I have all the records of Email communication for Asking of Receipt of Rs 300 paid to IDEA Executive as mentioned above.

                                  Request you to pl provide me the cofirmation Email for Rs 300 as Refundable Deposit on closure of connection or I want Receipt of Rs. 300 /-.

                                  The said matter is pending since 02nd April, 2013. Still No Communication from IDEA people.

                                  Idea Cellular — Refund of the cancellation fee

                                  Hi Sir,
                                  I am Avinash Mascarenhas, one of the ex- customer’s of IDEA Cellular
                                  Cellular No. : [protected], Account No. : 1.12916556
                                  My account was activated on 07/08/2009the 1st bill was generated on 06/09/2009. I did not use much service on this number as the network at my address was very poor
                                  I did call idea and have complained about this problem and asked for the disconnection of the service, the representative just informed me to perform a manual network selection, which did not work.
                                  I had stopped using the services and after the bill was generated I had used the services only once and the usage was Rs. 19 after the 06/09/2009.
                                  I went to the idea dealer today at Marol, opp, Star Office and disconnected the service, I have paid then Rs 604 as they informed me that the service will not be disconnected and the bill will go on increasing every month
                                  As per my 1st bill I should be charged Rs. 340 + Rs. 19 as the usage after the generation of the 1st bill and Rs. 100 should be deducted as I had paid this amount before the activation of the services and I was promised that this will be adjusted in the 1st bill.
                                  But they charged me Rs.340 + Rs. 220 as the bill generated on prorate basis and Rs 19 as the usage after the 1st bill and some other charges..
                                  Besides this I did pay Rs. 100 before activation and I was charged that this will be adjusted in the 1st bill, instead of adjusting in the 1st bill
                                  They have added Rs. 100 as plan enrollment fee, which is not known as adjustment in the 1st bill so this was a misinformation.
                                  Before the activation when I spoke to the dealer of idea over the phone and asked him about the network, he informed that the network is perfect in my location
                                  I am disconnecting the service because of the bad network which is not my fault.
                                  Please help me in getting the refund of my money from idea as idea is not helping me
                                  I want a refund of Rs. 345 as I have paid Rs. 604
                                  And this is very high then what I had used.

                                  Idea Cellular — Excess Amount not refunded

                                  On 3rd December 2010, i recharged my idea prepaid account through Oxicash.in website by using flexible e-recharge option. I entered Rs. 221/- amount, but i got only Rs. 100.36 talk time. I got the message from Idea

                                  "Your account has been recharged successfully. Your Idea Chit Chat prepaid account balance is Rs. 100.83. Top up requested for Rs. 221.00 and Talktime of Rs. 100.36"

                                  When i contacted their Customer Care ([protected]) they told me you have entered wrong topup request of Rs. 221.00 (This amount is not in our topup request amount). Then i told them refund my remaining amount or else recharge my phone with difference amount, but they totally refused, i told me that we are not going to refund or recharge any amount.

                                  I request you to kindly help me in this matter and do the needful at the earliest...

                                    Mr. Mayur ([protected] Idea Sales Executive) has sold me a connection of Idea No. [protected] with a Plan of Rs.1299 which has 4000 mins. local + national, 450 SMS free, 1000 mins roaming free, 5 GB 3G data free.
                                    I dont have problem with the plan but I was committed by the executive that every service have limitations so idea will provide me capping system so that my bill doesn't cross my monthly rental+tax, because I cannot afford bill more then Rs.1500, but from there side capping was not activated and now my outgoing is barred because of my bill which is Rs.5192 due by excess use after my limitations of my plan and this is my business number I cannot deactivate this number.

                                    I am ready to pay 1299+tax. Kindly take it seriously and take some strict action so that I can get my service back.

                                    Idea Cellular — Wrong Commitments

                                    I purchased two connections from the mentioned service provider, at the time of purchasing the connection i paid RS 1000 in cash, i was told that this amount will be adjusted in the coming three month bill.
                                    The bill i received was for RS 448 (approx).I immediately asked them to stop the services.
                                    But the connection was never disconnected, the bill got generated for next month also.
                                    I received a call from the recovery agent, who advised me to pay Rs 600 as the settlement amount.
                                    Which i agreed also and went to pay also at their Sagar Pur outlet, where the agent refused to accept the amount.

                                      I have been unnecessarily receiving bills from Idea when my internet connection is not active.
                                      I have made several complaints with no assistance just bills!

                                      On 27th April too (on my last bill due date) I received a call from the billing dept. I acknowledged them that there is a message on connection "connection to the remote computer could not be established so the port used for this connection was closed."
                                      They assured me that they attend to this soon. Till date I haven't received any call.
                                      They are now harassing me for no service!

                                      Earlier too I have paid bill of Rs.1017 when there was no continuous network from your end.
                                      But I cant waste my money like that every time.

                                      Their customer care is useless & never helps.
                                      In fact some Pramod Rathod once told me that now on you cannot change your plans which was very weird.
                                      Finally after several wasted calls I managed to change to a plan called 950, where I was assured to get speed in Mbs.. which never went ahead 0-2kbs.

                                      Whenever I call CC, they tell me to visit the Idea gallery which I have informed is not possible for me as I am 7 months pregnant.
                                      Past 2 months now there is no internet from them & they are continuosly sending me bills. I do not understand why should I pay bills for no service?

                                      i called up to d idea cust care...first they dnt knw abt that service the girl put on hold my call & after some time call was disconnected..

                                      i can only understand frm cce of idea that in this service m getting daily sms about websites..
                                      i said ok..but not a single msg i recieved frm d date of activation..

                                      I got new idea postpaid connection 3.5 months back, the executive visited to my place gave me receipt and name of Enterprise is MAHALASA Enterprises/3 Jayprakash Nagar, Aarey road , goregaon(e),Mumbai 63, no such a Enterprise exist on this address.
                                      Executive name is Aditya Vedpathak and Manager's name is Niranjan Pai.
                                      He told me that after i pay my 2'nd month bill i will be entitle for one free Rebook gift and i needs to just visit any IDEA gallery in Mumbai and i will get gift.
                                      I have visited IDEA gallery 8 to 9 times east and west gallery.
                                      Every time i got diff excuses , we don't have gift voucher , you will get it from the person only.
                                      you will get it in east gallery, you will get it from west, we don't have voucher now.
                                      We will send this at your mailing address, we all ready have sent this to your place.
                                      The contact person name Nikunj number is [protected] i came to know that he is the only person who take care of Gift related problem.
                                      This person is giving false promises and told me that he will get it deliver at my place.
                                      Next time when i called him he told me that he is in meeting, and so on .
                                      No each time when i call him he is not receiving my call and not answering my phone.
                                      When called on customer to log my complaint waiting time to get my call answer was 12 mins :(
                                      Which cellular company is having 12 mins of waiting time ?
                                      The person who's took my called after 12 mins asked my number and when i ask him to repeat my number to check.
                                      He told me diff number and told me that he is able to view details on his screen???
                                      If the number itself is not correct from where he got my details as i was not calling from same idea number?

                                      Idea — Cannot change the Plan

                                      I have made an online payment for Rs.295 through online banking today at 2.30 p.m. and by mistake I have opted for 1000 minutes plan instead of normal recharge for top up for mobile No.:[protected]
                                      I have spoken to customer care and have been informed by Mr.Aakash & Ms. Aarti saying my plan cannot be converted to top up recharge and I have to use 1000 minutes in 30 days.
                                      My request to you is that Please convert Rs.295 into Top up plan and increase my Balance and oblige.
                                      In case you IDEA cannot do this ,then I shall be compelled to write to your MD as well as to Consumer court.A person cannot be penalised for a small mistake made by him while making online payment.

                                      Idea — No internet connection

                                      Dear Sir,

                                      I migrated from Idea prepaid number to post paid number with WOW 200 service and Rs 98 pack of internet. its being more than 20 days that i am unable to use internet service on my Nokia 5800 XPress music phone. people in idea office are of no use. they have not resolved my issue and continuously making me visit different offices in lucknow saying this person will solve or that.
                                      Kindly provide any solution if possible so that either internet get working on my phone or their should not be any bill regarding internet.
                                      Idea is one of the leading Telecom players in India. The problem regarding the GPRS connection which i mentioned was resolved with in 12 hr.

                                        I have purchased IDEA company postpaid sim from company person on April 28, 2013. They told it will be activated within two days. But it has not been activated till now. Whenever I call to Idea customer care to ask this, they will tell it is pre paid center. They are not giving proper information to me.That person collected Rs 230 from me for sim and for its activation charge. Though we call them through landline it will go to pre paid center. Still Iam not able to speak with post paid center . I contacted them through mails. Now IDEA company people are not giving proper clarification for my query despite repeated complaints.


                                        1. How can some people were allowed to call customers in the name of IDEA and now vanish with all my documents? they visit the houses, collects documents and money. Now what is the guarantee that they will not mis use those documents and photo? WHO WILL GIVE ANSWER TO US????
