[Resolved]  IFB Washing Machine — spare parts

When I asked for the belt to be replaced the chennai IFB service center at vadapalani insist that we should
sign an AMC.I said that I do not need an AMC and asked for the part. They refused to sell the spare part and said that they would replace if I pay Rs350 as service charge plus 585 being the cost of spare part namely (Belt).The reason for the complaint is when I talked on the phone the coustmer service operater verified and name the price of the belt as Rs.320.Againg how can a company refuse to supply spares if we can fix it by ourself

May I know the price for IFB washing machine valve
I have one IFB Elina purchased on 2004. It was used for 1 year and kept unused for 3 years. On 4th year when I have started every thing was ok . after using fo 6 months, it has given some problem that suddenly it was stopping while running, then we have to switch off for 30 minutes to start again. I have contacted the service center, they responded and sent the person. The person told the motor, circuit board, sock-absober are damaged, and it will cost 5000. I have checked with him to change only circuit board and try. He has not agreed. He has given one suggestion to go for 3 year amc for 5000 so that he can repair it in free of cost. I choosed the 2nd option. After paying for AMC, they have replaced the circuit board only. Now the machine is running fine for last 2 years. Regarding AMC no person contacted or not yet turned up till today for regular checkup or service.

I do not know what I should do if there will be some problem, I may have to pay more.

I own a Senator for the past five years. First and foremost, IFB customer service sucks. I am an electronic engineer by profession and I understand what might go wrong in a circuit. Not more than 50/- bucks part for which IFB charges 1500/- + service charges. Their technicians are no more than highschool grads. They fit old parts. When asked, they say Senator is out of market and so parts were purchased a long time back and so they look old. Absolute nonsense. In the past one year I have spent 15000/- rupees to get my perfectly working machine repaired. Firstly the motor went off. Then the belt. Then the seal rubber. Then the shock absorbers. Then the MCU. The door lock. And finally unbelievable, the Gear Board. Apart from the body, there is nothing left to change. Now I cannot sell the machine as no one would offer me more than 2000/- bucks and I have spent more than the price of the machine. I would not recommend IFB to anyone. They have completly lost their brand.
I have a similar experience where my ifb washing machine stopped working. I called the technician and I was told that the speed control board is damaged and needs to be replaced. He said it ill cost 5500. He brought new board but failed to show me MRP for the same. I came to know that the board actually cost 1500. This is the height of nonsense charges that do and completely make fool of the customer .. There is absolutely no transparency and trust. The IFB call center itself is not very helpful. Guys if you are reading this please be vary of the fraud practices which is giving IFB a very bad name.
I have a similar experience where my ifb digital 6 kg washing machine stopped working. i called the ifb technician he came and check the machine & say that speed control board + balancing + doors lock is not working all parts is replace this cost is 5600/- this parts warranty is 6 months . + 2 yrs amc is 6500/- total cost is 11000/- this is very high charges .I tell the guy that i buy such costly machine. then why such machine is stop working . he say that you buy as costly as . then pay as much as. & this machine is not as good as other.if we buy so costly machine . & we thing that machine is working properly but end of day every people is same .
I have a bad experience with IFB. The water did not drain from the machine. I complained to customer support and two support technicians visited next day. Before checking the machine, they said that the drain motor has to be replaced. I asked them to check first and then suggest solutions. Within few minutes, they found a socks in the drain pipe. The total service time is less than 5 min and they charged me Rs.400. Though it was my mistake that I should have checked properly, charging this much for no service is a pathetic support from IFB.

Today the water was not coming to the detergent box. I opened the machine myself and found the problem is in one of the water inlet valve. I swapped the inlet power connections as a temporary fix to get water in detergent box. I can replace the valve myself but I fear that I may not find the replacement in retail shops. Definitely I am not going to loose my hard earned money to worthless service.
I am using ifb Elena since last 3 years.i have used this machine hardly for 10 times in 3 years.Machine had a problem recently.i had booked a complained.Technician came to my house & asked for guarantee card & receipt.I did not get the receipt at home.Technician has refused to give service unless we pay service charge & spare part money.i am sure company has all record about manufacturing & when it sold to dealer & customer.How ever just trouble the customer they don't give service.I have many other product from L.G .Samsung where i never had such type of problem from them.
I feel customer should not buy product if company refuse to give service or spare parts with proper receipt.

I have purchased IFB machine model No AW60 -8061 in 2008. Machine had a problem so I called IFB service center (Laxmi Nagar delhi) to see the issue, after examine the person said you need to change shoker's and gear box as both are worn out, I asked for the cost of same for which he replied to be 8000/-Rs. I have just check online the price of same new machine is Rs 12250/-.
How this is possible.

I feel people should buy such product whose spare parts are too costlier.

i have a fully automatic washing machine i bought couple of months ago, since day one we are face some or other problem, some times the pipe through which the water should go in is not working, or our cloths are getting torn, when we went to buy this machine we were said by the shopkeeper that in case of any problem we can call him and let him know the problem and he would send some one to fix the problem, that is what was going on so far, but as of now even he has been overlooking our problems, when i got this machine i wanted a machine to help me and not to give me headache or stress,
is not that i have totally been relied on that shopkeeper, i did call IFB person to come and fix the machine, he did nothing new and spent all of his time on a call talking to someone what to do and how, when asked if he is new he said no body buys this washing machine and he has no experience of this machine.

today when i call your [protected] the re on the other side hung up on me saying this is not the # i should be calling, and also it is a chargeable #, i by chargeable i mean more than 2rs/min.
trying to call you another # 39004321 adding my STD code 079, the avr said i need to add the STD code 0816, and finally when called[protected] it says the # does not exist.
please let me know that how exactly a customer should reach you customer care, and if cannot remove the big bold number flashing on your website.

sorry to say but i seriously just want to get my machine to work properly so that i can sell this to someone can get rid of IFB.

We bought the elena washing machine for 4 years ago and it went faulty frequently.
Every time the service person changed some parts and collected more that 1.5K every time from my parants(Happend 4 times)
It went faulty again and the service person says there is fault in the timer which costs 3912 rupees.
No clue what to do.
Very very very bad customer service and service team (They just loot the money)

Spare parts cost is very high and we don't no the sparepart condition when ever we called the service engineer every time he change the any one of the part related to the machine I buyed this mavhine(eLENA model) ON SEP 2008 till now i spend the repair cost and descaling cost nerarly 6000rs.Currently another repair is going on expected cost is 1600rs.

If this is the case I plan to resale or through the machine and by new machine with another manufacturer.

bad experiance with IFB regarding the spare parts and AMC if AMC is there why should we pay for spare parts cost for such a small period of 6years . that showes the manufacturer have no confidence of their spares like soilnoid valves and other rubber parts which are not effect the over load . If motor fail we can ubderstant that may the mistake of the end user but solinoid valves and rubber parts not relat to over load.

but these are also fail freequiently.

I have been using IFB senorita plus model for the past 8 years.Last week i had a problem with the drum and registered
a complaint with the customer care.Next day a guy came from the service centre and told me that i have to take amc so that the cost of the spare parts would be less and he estimated the cost as 7500 including the amc.He took 4000 from me to cover the amc and advance for the parts, i got it changed after a week and number of calls.Finally after changing the drum, bearing and the rubber sleeve the mechanic gives me a bill for 3500 which does not mention the rates of individual parts or the service charges and i got to know from the mechanic that the cost of spare parts are covered by amc only after 20 days, then why did i have to take an amc now????...I know i have been duped n when i asked for the receipt for the amount i had given in advance he spoke to that guy and just added that amount also to that billl...ridiculous...

I have worst experience with IFB service personnel who tried to cheat me for adding water filter and drum cleaning powder for 1800 Rs. I got it done for 450 Rs for Water filter and 40 Rs for drum cleaning powder.

IFB service franchises please wake up. People are not fools anymore.

IFB has the worst service in India especially in Bangalore. The Franchisee, Shivashakthi Enterprise who is authorized to perform the service requests are just the kind of people which no customer would like to encounter with. Such a pathetic service, that over the phone itself they deliver the judgement and has the rudest of the behaviors. I have bout a 7KG direct drive washing machine that costed Rs.35, 000/- last year. It's been just 12 months and the washing machine has developed a hole with a crack at the bottom of the Tub. The service technician made a vague statement that it's becase of the Rat bite. Examining the hole which is a Triangle with a taper and crack on the tub, looks like it's basically might have happend during transportation when the machine was delivered or installed at my home. Post the installation, neither the machine was moved nor there are any Rat/mouse inside our house :-). I had bought washing machine, A cloths drier and a Convection Microwave all from IFB, thinking that it's good... But now I am repenting. The drier's saftey switch becomes active very often. The IFB does not have any answer to that nor they are trying to fix it. For the Washing machine crack they are asking me to pay Rs.7000/- to fix because they are assuming something which is not real and the franchisee guy is saying he has already spent Rs.7 Lakhs to fix the problem for other customers that's why he does not want to fix my problem...Hillarious... No idea when the Microwave will be out of service, given that both the primary machines are out of service. It's been more than 10 days since I logged the Problem request. And the IFB does not have any seriousness to fix nor they have the technical know how to fix it. I advise all the customers to refrain buying IFB products.
