[Resolved]  IFB Washing Machine — spare parts

When I asked for the belt to be replaced the chennai IFB service center at vadapalani insist that we should
sign an AMC.I said that I do not need an AMC and asked for the part. They refused to sell the spare part and said that they would replace if I pay Rs350 as service charge plus 585 being the cost of spare part namely (Belt).The reason for the complaint is when I talked on the phone the coustmer service operater verified and name the price of the belt as Rs.320.Againg how can a company refuse to supply spares if we can fix it by ourself

@IFB Customer Care. I am not sure if I can say its resolved. Its both surprising and interesting. We never got a call from any IFB technician till date. Nor did we receive any reply for our emails.
So my father went ahead and called a local technician (from AJS Enterprises) who attended the complaint from IFB few months back.
He came promptly the next day, said the motor is burnt out, and replaced motor for 5000. He mentioned the same motor if technician from IFB replaced would cost 6k. He took the old motor, and the new motor also wasn't in any box, but he was carrying in his bag. Not sure if its original, nor it had any IFB seal.
Made us buy a IFB stabilizer (MCB) for 1320, and inlet pipe etc for a total of 7.5k.

When he left, my father received a message from IFB that the complaint is resolved!!! Not sure who has messed up things here, or someone is purposefully doing this. I don't know if I can trust the guy from AJS, but we didn't had any choice.
Please let us know what happened. And fix the service quality. The service technicians are more eager to sell products that fix the problem.
The worst services from the IFB. After delivering the machine servies team has taken 15 days to install the prodect. Prodect may be good. But services is very bad. Even IFB service team is selling the spares for very high cost. Example: extension pipe cost is 350 Rs but the selling that for 579 Rs. Even IFB is not selling you spares. You are responsible for you services team activites

My washing has some problem (SARENA SX 5.5KG)and on my complaint to the service center the technician arrived and checked the machine and has said some parts have fault and it has to be replaced with new and when i asked about the price of the spares he said some amount which seems to be very costlier, so please provide us the price list of the spares from the company so that the we can the know genuine of the price they are billing.
Earlier to this once the same problem i had faced with the technician who charged me Rs.850/- for the door switch which i feel it very costlier, and i had an argument with the technician to prove that what he charged in the bill for the switch is the company price for which he could not.
So please send the spare price list provided by the company along with the technicians while servicing of the machine so that the customer may not be cheated with false billing.
We are facing lot of problems with your service centre at Madurai. Spare parts will be supplied after 10 days. This is the answer given by your service centre. Whether I have to wait for 10 days without washing cloths. I decided to purchase new one which won't be IFB anymore.

We are using IFB senator 6 kg 3 washing machine in our textile testing lab, now it was no running properly.As per our request your technician checked the machine and found that the spin control need to replace in all machines but the parts are not available.So kindly take necessary arrangement to send the parts asap.

It is my biggest mistake of my life is that I purchased the IFB washing machine. I ask to service incharge to purchase garari of my machine, he told me it's worth Rs.2200 and service charge Rs 350.I said that ok give me that spare part on mrp then he ask to me the advance payment of service charge Rs. 700 and garari worth Rs. 1100. After that I request to him for Bill then he refuse my complaint and he said that your complaint will be deleted from custom care.

Spin dry

Clothes do not dry and remain wet. Called up several times and a 24 hrs. commitment last Friday and yesterday again I had called, they made a commitment of 2pm but no response. I am shocked to see IFB bad customer service
IFB Senator model washing machine motor carbon brushes

My IFB Senator model washing machine motor carbon brushes have worn out. And the technician who came yesterday said IFB does not have brushes as spare ! And that the entire motor has to be replaced !! For a regular maintenence item like a brush which costs only around Rs.100, they are asking to replace the motor costing Rs, 4200.

This is actually like a bike manufacturer asking a customer to replace a bike if a tyre gets worn out.

being an engineer, I happen to know that Carbon brushes in these type of motors is a regular wear item to be replaced when worn out. It happens in our food processor (Domestic kitchen mixer), our drill machines and are replaced in Rs.50. We dont have to replace the entire motor.

Request IFB to look into the matter.
Else am thinking of filing a formal complaint against IFB in consumer court with media coverage.

Shocking part (actually not shocking, because this kind of cheating cannot be done there) it that this IFB motor carbon brush is available as a spare part in US / UK !!

Hey IFB company, why you are cheating your customers, Whether you have any responsibility on them, You people appointed so many agencies through out the nation redressing the complaints.Any of the customer will get the satisfaction?They are only trying to usurp the money from the customers with AMC. You are a international brand company, I am very much ashamed of your proceedings like this?!

I made a service request for my IFB washing machine about door lock and handle is failed to operate, still no-person responded properly, even the customer care number is not reaching by mobile or landline[protected];[protected], I had a very bad experience with IFB, they mentioned as 10years spare support, but now there is no response of my ticket no is [protected]
see while buying equipment we have belief of manufacture but when problem comes they are showing true color of how they are... please respond me and solve the problem at the earliest.

i was purchased elina sx before 4 years, but machine is after 2 to 3 month oftenly repairing issuses we purchese it a genuine product but its waste of money product and after warrenty service charge and parts so high.
