[Resolved]  IFB Washing Machine — Service persons not attending

My IFB washing machine is under AMC and I am in chennai.In spite of the repeated request to the help line no service persons are attending the machine,The manager at Chennai is not even attending the calls.I am not able to under stand the reasons for this casual attitude.No higher officials telephone numbers are available for the redresal.

IFB — wiring problem

sir/madam,
I had purchased ifb washing machine front load 7Kg on dt 05/05/09,SR NO-[protected] from the very date i had complaint many times such as on 09/11/09 comp. no-3722894, comp. no- 1884374, dt-29/12/10 comp. no-5690088, dt-15/3/11 comp. no-6057519 & many more.

Now again there is some problem in the machine & your executive demanding rs. 8000/- to repair its wiring.

fault in machine is not due to us or by our mistake

At the time of purchase, there are so many other brands was available and even in half prices , then also I choose your brand
But after using your machine & to see Rs. 8000/- repair charges, I don't feel satisfied.
It seems to be that I bought peanuts in Rs 28000/-
kindly do the needful, or suggest in how much amt. u can purchase it so that i will be able to purchase LG or SAM SUNG

i agree, that's why co. has increased it's warranty to 4 years
i live in coimbatore, we too made a complaint. the complaint was never attended despite repeated calls. the attitude of the service personnel is rough. we are really sorry that an MNC with a base in germany is having such attitude. till date the complaint is not attended even after more than 20 days
IFB service complaints in Chennai are not being addressed. My complaint no is 8140069 dt 24 Jan 2012 for IFB washing m/c and is under AMC presently.No one has bothered to call or service my washing m/c since 24 Jan 2012. No higher official of your company has even bothered to call me and look into our problems. A typical case of Corporate callousness and Insensitivity and improbity. Now the only recourse to us is Media Publicity and Consumer complaints with Consumer Courts.

I had lodged a complaint with IFB Service centre at toll free number [protected] on 11/02/2012 vide complaint number 8259860. My registered Mobile no is [protected]. I had purchased this machine senator on 18-19/10/2010. It is under warranty. The spinner of the machine is not working. The knob had come out. The service centre person had come around 10 days back and taken away the particular part. Till date neither he turned up nor the part has been replaced. I have been making complaints on daily basis. Today morning I got the phone number of local service centre person. He said he will get back to me in one hour about the problem but till 10 p.m. in evening no response from him. He did not pick up the phone also in the evening. I do not understand why the Authorities are so callous about the same.

I purchased this machine in 15th Sep 2009 after 2 months problem started till now I am complaining to both Customer care people and local service center. No one respond my problem. Latest complaint number is 7438865.

not only 1 place the same thing is happening everywhere.. iam from bangalore and the customer service executive at bangalore cuts when i call him for the sevice. they did not come for demo after installation of the machine.they did not bother about connecting the water inlet of the machine to the tap and told us to do it with the help of a plumber and after that did not turn up for the demo after that. it has been a week since we have bought the machine

IFB WASHING MACHINE — not coming for servicing

i have purchased a washing machine and unfortunately a problem occurred in it.i have lodged a complaint regarding this in the service center but in return they have shown a bad behaviour to me and telling that they will not attend me.is this the service that we will get.i want this problem to be solved as quick as possible as its a domestic matter and has 2 be solved fast.

I have purchased your IFB Washing machine Model SERENA VX 7KGS 8OO RPM machine jus 3 weeks back from Croma Mega mall Andheri Oshiwara Mumbai 400058. In the second week the rubber gasket adhering to the machine opening has cracked. Due to this all water from the machine runs out whilst the machine is on run. I complained to your toll free number, m Your service technician did attend but he says the machine is newly launched & the rubber gasket is not available with us. Request you to look into the matter before i take it to the consumer grievance cell. You can contact me on[protected]
I have IFB washing machine. I have put AMC for 2 years. My Customer# is 3206877.

I never felt IFB is this worst in service and product. Frustrating to the core using your service.

The following are the complaints.

1. One compliant took around 50 days to resolve.

2. Last month I made another compliant, The technical resource came 4 days before. The machine was there in working condition. He dismantled the machine and told us that some PART (engine belt) to be replaced which will cover under AMC.

I was discussing about this with the call center. The engineer said that he will be back in 30 minutes to meet another customer in the meantime. He has not come back for last 4 days. I called three times for your customer care. no progress.



Note: I bought the Washing machine stand and cover those two are not seems to be IFB standard product. Third grade companies are give very good accessories compared to IFB.


The following are the requests I made due to the poor IFB service model.

a. I would like to talk to your senior management who can take decision on both service level and product level. For this request, I have talked to your Call Center people to many more times (More than 30 times). Nothing happened. – I’m waiting for this last 3-4 months.

b. I wanted my complaint details either by E-Mail or hardcopies to my postal address. – I’m waiting for last 2 months.

c. I wanted to cancel my AMC due to improper service. And As part of cancellation, IFB needs to pay penalty amount to treat the customer worst, Unjustifiable wait time, Poor technical service, No responses for the calls, Hiding the information/concerns to discuss further with the issues with the management.

I do not see any process and standard to provide service and capture the customer concerns/issues/feedbacks. What kind of quality you have. Someone has review mechanism or not. I hope that IFB is not Petty shop.

Let me see. Whether this can reach to the top level management and I can get some response.
My newly purchased washing machine purchased from Khosla Electronic, Garia on 27th March 2012 is not working since it was installed.
Your service technician could not repair it and it is lying inoperative in my home. Though your Ms Uma Gupta agreed to replace it bot in reality
it was never done. Though I paid money more than one and half month back, I cannot use the machine. Is it the way a esteem (?) concern
like IFB cares for the customers ?.I highly regret your services and request you to replace the machine immediately or refund cost along with
interest and compensation as other wise I will have no option than taking legal action.

My AMC just expired on 16.05.2012. No service was given in AMC period. I called them, within AMC period at least 2-3 times to change / replace Shokers. Informedon phone to me that someone is coming. No one came. The service representative only on 25.05.2012, after expiry of AMC period and asked charges for replacement as the AMC expired. I felt extremely cheated and shall never recommend to buy IFB product. Our organisation is a strong community of about 40, 000 officers and we purchase the material & services on feedback system.

Cheats are sitting whose aim is to get AMC from Royal customer and get away. They will respond badly once AMC expired and defects not ratified, even after making complaint in AMC perion. I am not having complaint number but their service representatives called me twice about their visit to retify defects. Is it not acknowleding the complaint.


I am using IFB product from last twenty year but this experience have tought me to stop using the product whose committments have no value. I will inform internally in my organisation ONGC about this bad attitude of IFB and warned them.
