[Resolved]  IFB Washing Machine — Service persons not attending

My IFB washing machine is under AMC and I am in chennai.In spite of the repeated request to the help line no service persons are attending the machine,The manager at Chennai is not even attending the calls.I am not able to under stand the reasons for this casual attitude.No higher officials telephone numbers are available for the redresal.

It is brought to your kind notice that I bought senator washing machine from Sector-35. Complaints were made because this washing machine is not working, it makes noice and stops while working. Machine was also taken for repair by the company, but the defect remained the same. I am sorry to say that I often make complaints regarding the defect, the technician comes do their job, but defect is not removed, coz the starts working when they come, but after some days the same defect is risen again. Now it is about to be three years, but defect is not removed. I request you to either remove the defect or replace the machine so that I may not face any difficulty while washing the cloths.

I am a resident of Sector 30 Noida. I have an AMC covering my IFB Supremo washing machine with Shree Ganesh Enterprises, B-2/445 Yamuna Vihar, DELHI - 110053. Their two mechanics during their visit on 13 February 2013, advised about changing the body of the machine and took an advance payment of Rs, 3000.00 committing to change the body around 23/24 February. It is now over two months since they took the advance amount but have not replaced the body. They are not answering the calls made on their mobiles.

sir,
I purchased a washing machine IFB brand Elena DX modelon[protected] from Better Life homew
appliance, kunnamkulam, thrissur, kerala, India. Now, it got damaged with its on/off button &
spin/cancel button which have become function less, stuck inside& not returning when switched
on . The machine is still working.I contacted mr. suneesh who is the service man of your
customer care centre @ thrissur 2 weeks ago. He promised to to attend the work . so far no
body has turned out . I tried him over mobile phone, but he does not attend the phone. The
service numbers of your customer care center @ Ayyanthole thissur has become inoperative .
Now I don't know what to do

I have to get it mended, . I am very sorry to say- The customer care service quality of
this world class product, IFB, is very poor. But I availed prompt service from Whirlpool
when my Fridge got damaged.So please avail me the service as early as possible.

It is very painful to communicate to you thee following which needs to take very seriously about thee quality of thee IFB Washing machinee and not only theat but thee service team which is nominated may be not fit and reputed theat is my feeling based on thee experience which I have since last one year.
You can see thee records and payment which I have paid to you and it looks quite shocking.

1. I have purchased IFB washing machinee in 2006

2. In thee year 2012 I have been recommended to change thee drum second time and it was done by your service team and for thee same I have paid INR 6700/-

3. Again withein almost a year in May 2013 again theere is a recommendation of changing drum by your service team and theey have replace it theird time for which I have paid INR 4200/-

4. Now after servicing of thee same on 22/5/2013 again thee same issue came and noise complain is theere yesterday and for which I have booked a complaint.

Now I wish to know

a, Is theere any self life of washing machine of IFB ? If yes please send me official mail.
b, If service engineer had performed theeir duty well theen why thee frequency of thee complainant is so ofter in short durations ?
c, I have contacted your Branch In charge Mr. Pradip Nair and as usual as we are a customer ( Baggier ) we got a reply theat Book your complaint and our service engineer will report to your withein 48 to 72 hours as per norms which is surprising ?? Now We understand theat we have made a big mistake to associate withe IFB India ( who has having totally NON Professional team in Ahmedabad, Gujarat ).

d, As no one came after assurance of Mr. Pradip Nair to attend thee call I have started calling Mr. Pradip Nair ( Branch Manager Ahmedabad ) to inform him from 5 PM of today ( 29the June ) but unfortunately he has not picked up thee phone as he may be more busy and doing more important work theen customer complaint even when he know whole case.

Now I need to have proper responsible reply from IFB seniors who can understand thee position of customer and revert back accordingly.

Also note theat since last almost a year I have paid around INR 10000/- when purchase cost of machine was INR 21000/- Is it viable ?? Secondly I have not mentioned thee cost of service contract which I have taken in initial four years. In nutshell it is costly affair. WHY SHOULD WE HAVE TO CHOOSE IFB NEXT TIME ??

This is a feed back against theat I am expecting responsible reply from thee company.

I have lodged a complaint on 6th of aug 2013 and till date there is no response from IFB service centre. Whenever I call customer care they say we will do the needful but nothing has happend...there no contact info on higher level though it is a international company. if some one could provide me the contact ids globally would be of great help...
We Have Washing Machine of 7 kg For That We Have Done AMC since 2 Years, As per They Have Committed Every 3 Month Visiting n Our Place and Free Service will be Done but They Have Not Yet Come At list One Visit n 2 Years, Yes They Will Come for ONLY Collecting the Check for AMC that’s all. After That They Will Visit Next Collection The Check Only, Even We Are Quit But We Had Problem In Machine so We Have Given Complaint n Customer care July 16th and For The Problem They Have Came and Visit our Place and Some Part Has To Replace, within The Week Time It Will Done and Said That’s All,

I bought a IFB washing machine Model Acqua Elena, the 5th of May, 2013 from the Next Electronic showroom, in Ambattur by paying cash.
bill no 00521/2013-14 bill .amount 22, 800 and spent another 3000/- on accessories like trolley, powder to prevent lime scale and a voltage regulator.But the machine was not functioning properly two to three weeks of its purchase. Every time there was a problem with the machine it would take 2-3 days for the technician to come and attend to the problem and it was repeatedly repaired four times before the technician finally agreed that it was a faulty machine. Every time the machine was being checked i have spent several hours on phone calls and follow up apart from washing clothes by hand everyday. My waste of time and effort and the value for my money has been very carelessly, and lethargically by the people at IFB. I have contacted the call centre, the senior manager, Mr Alif, [protected] and the executive head Mrs Gayathri [protected].
I feel i have been cheated and subjected to a lot of mental pressure and trauma by the irresponsible attitude of IFB. Absolutely shameful.
Sir despite my repeated complaint magic electrical a Chatarpur, Delhi is being asked to attend my complaint. When I have written you to send technician from service centre other than mentioned above.because they did substandard work 2 months back due to which the washing machine has broken down again.

I bought IFB 9 kg washer 7 kg dryer on 04/09/2013 through Sathya Agencies West Mambalam, Chennai. On the next day a service person came. He didn't bring the connecting tube. So I went along with him to get it from his office in vain. Next day it was fixed but rat mesh was not fixed. I asked for the stand which is not available till now. He doesn't know about the machine. Hence after complaint another person came and started the machine. But even after 6 hours it didn't stop but fan was running. After 7 hours it didn't dry fully. If I wash manually and dry it under the son it will be over by 4 hours. Only electricity is wasted. No body knows about this machine.

I purchased 9 kg washer 7 kg dryer on 02/09/2013 by spending more than 60, 000 rupees and the was delivered on 04/09/2013. With great difficulty connecting tube was fixed. Washing is good. But drying is useless. It takes more than 8 hours, still it is not fully dry. Several service persons could not rectify it. The machine is not at all alright. Waste of electricity. It may take not more than 5 hours for manual washing and drying in sun. There is no proper service and the machine is not good as they claim.

I purchased a 9 kg washer 7 kg dryer for more than 60'000 rupees on 02/09/2013 and the machine came home on 04/09/2013. I was using Senator IFB washing machine and now using Neptune dish washer without any difficulty. With great difficulty the connecting tube was fixed and machine started running. But the rat mesh and stand was not fixed. The machine is not drying fully as expected. It took more than 7 hours for washing and drying, still it is not fully dry. Waste of electricity. If i wash manually and dry under sun it may not take more than 5 hours. Several service persons came without any benefit. The machine is functioning properly.

I have purchased IFb washing machine ADMIRAL 7012W 7Kg on dated12/08/2011 from SAHU AGENCY Lucknow. on dated 20st september 2013 durng running position of the machine the door of machine has gone in out of order .the door was not functioning properly, so my wasing machine is in IDEAL stae todays. my faimily is suffering very highly due to faulty machine.on dated i loged a complaint in service center lucknow, my complaint number is 11514267 . than after a technician attented my machine & he told me that the inner part of door panel will be replaced & it will take 3 to 4 days but till today 10 days has gone & my complaint has no resolved till today i.e. 30th september 2013 nothing happened. We are everyday contacting everybody in IFB lucknow but no one is taking care of our problem. We even don't know the status of our complaint. Continued harassment caused b IFB washing machine for the past three years of its life with us. Complete apathy of the IFB service Personnel at DELHI. Request to replace the machine to save us from further harassment and suffering.

Dear Sir,

I have a very bad experience with your Washing Machine Senator 6 Kg O72002. which was purchased in the name of Ms. Swati Johar Tandon (registred Mobile No. [protected]) on[protected] from M/s. Hariom Electronics, B-3/2, Ashok Vihar Phase-II DELHI-110052 vide their invoice No. 35759 dated[protected]. (Customer Code 2389157)

Right just after the purchase, the machine has been giving some problem or the other. And for the past about one year we are facing the problem of the Machine making Loud Noise / Sounds.

For the confirmation of the same you can check the Complaint Log history of the machine.(registered against Mobile No. [protected])

The complaints are not attended by IFB promptly. It has so happened that the Machine has been out o[censored]se due to waiting for the service more 70 % of the time in the past one year and about 25-30 % of the time prior to that. Sometimes the service engineer inspects / observes the machine and goes back saying he will discuss the complaint in office because he is not able to ascertain the defect, he does not bother to come back unless reminded. Then they come, open the machine and go back saying they have to bring some part. The machine remains open all these days. They go back and do not come back for days unless reminded (IFB not bothering that customer is not getting the service for which he spent his hard earned money).

I am narrating one of the recent specific experiences on which your Delhi staff is just too indifferent.

The recent major trouble started in middle of August’2013. The machine started making noise. It was attended on our complaints to IFB, by Mr. Bharat and his colleagues of RG Electronics your franchisee. The Technician opened did something, sine the machine did not make noise, he declared it as OK. Soon thereafter it again started making noise. On lodging the complaint the technicians came and said, they will have to open the machine because they suspect that the drum is damaged. They also said that if any extraneous thing like coin etc. is found in the machine then we shall have to bear the cost of drum replacement. They left with a promise to come back to do repairs but came only after about one week. Now they came with drum. On opening they did not find any coin etc. and coolly replaced the drum and left. But after one or two days, the machine again started giving same noise. On our complaint the technician came inspected the machine and declared that Tub needs to be replaced. They had opened the machine for inspection and left it open with a promise to come next day with the tub. No one turned up for few days. It was only on our repeated telephonic reminders that the technicians came with the tub after ten days. The technicians opened the machine but when fitting the new tub they were not able to fit it properly and started hitting hammer and using file, screwdriver etc to somehow forcibly push the tub. On my objection they did talk to Mr. Tarun and asked him why the stores has issued them a wrong tub. I also talked to Mr. Tarun giving my reference as retired GM, NTPC who knows how to handle machines, Mr. Tarun then asked his technicians to come to the shop and collect the proper drum, which was done and fitment of tub was completed smoothly.

Couple of days later the machine again started giving noise, when we tried to impress upon the person receiving our complaint to send a technician from IFB service Centre itself. Our request was reluctantly agreed and Mr. Nimesh Bansal of IFB attended our complaint on[protected]. He also attended the machine and when he closed it was not making noise. But due to the history of the machine we wanted to watch the machine for at least two months and also suggested by writing in the job card (copy enclosed) that they should keep the log history of the complaints handy for the analysis. We also noted that now onwards only the IFB’s company engineer should handle this machine’s complaints and not the franchisee. This was also agreed by him.

Again after one or two days the machine started making noise and we informed Mr. Nimesh Bansal. He wanted to hear the noise over phone which we did arrange. Not only that we made a video recording of the same and sent to him by mail. IFB posted Mr. Mithilesh who visited us on[protected] and heard physically for himself the noise and made a noting of the same in his job card, on which I also recorded my comments that since the machine has gone through innumerable experiments at the hands of your technicians without the noise problem having been solved, we request you to kindly replace the machine with a new one free of cost since for the past four months the machine has not given us any service. The multiple numbers of repairs and replacements without satisfactory solution of the problem has left us with complete loss of trust on the machine.

Mr. Siddhartha has not helped me to arrange my talk with his senior in this matter. He is insisting that he has to take the machine to company workshop, without even arranging a standby machine.

The amount of sufferings I have gone through on account of this machine leads me to a justified demand for free replacement of the machine

Since all this while I have been having a trust on the name IFB, I have not been very particular to keep record of the dates and complaint Nos. But this is now end of trusting the old machine because it has not given me service for about 50% of its life with me.

Please note that your Mr. Anup Goel, Mr. Siddharth, Mr. Mithilesh are so high headed that they do not show the basic courtesy to call back. Mr. Siddharth had promised to me that he will talk to seniors on this issue and revert back. When I requested them to let me know the phone No. of Seniors Mr. Siddharth and Mr. Nimesh said that they are not authorised to give the phone numbers.

It is to my utter dismay to note that the Phone Nos. given on your website for your Kolkata as well as Bengaluru Offices are old and outdated. When I dialled these numbers I got a response that these Nos. are invalid. I do not know if it is all deliberate on the part of IFB management to keep themselves isolated from accesses from consumers, particularly if customers got harried by such experiences with your products.

Please look into the History of Log of complaints on this machine registered against mobile No. [protected].

Some of the complaint Nos. of the complaints made by us are 11484859 / 11265011 / 11531233 . Docket No.[protected].

It will not be out of place to mention that your technicians come without proper computer printed job cards as obvious from the two documents annexed herewith. It is difficult to understand as to why the company makes an attempt to shy away from maintaining records of job cards.

I hope you will consider my justified request for free replacement of the machine and would not like me to proceed with Consumer Redressal Forum.

It has been last attended to just observe the noise problem by Mithilesh on[protected] who just confirmed on the job card that the machine was making noise. .

Since then, there has been no action inspite of daily reminders to Mr. Sidharth.

This way an IFB machine gifted by me to my daughter has become a perpetual torture for her and for me.
