In all the pantry cars of Indian railway pantry car ,they are nit providing biscuit with tea.The qulity of food is aldo extremely bad.

This is to bring to the notice of the Railway ministry that Hatia- Howrah express 18616 has been running late since the time its route has been changed. I am a frequent traveller as I have to join office on every monday at 9 am. Even though the arrival time is by 7am in the morning, I have never arrived before 9 am with this train in Howrah. I am not sure whether this complaint reaches you or not, but if you get this message, kindly act on this. The train has lost its importance as it does not serve the purpose of arriving well in time in Howrah... request for urgent action on this... regards... [protected]

Myself(Bharat Sajjan), along with my colleague Mr. P P Bhatnagar traveled in Train No.12910 (Delhi-Mumbai), PNR No.[protected], Coach No. G 13, Berth No.38 and 40, Dt.24.07.2011. We have been traveling in this train (3/4 times in a month) since last more than 3 years. The following are our grievances:-

1.The rented-beddings being provided in this Train for the use of passengers, are in very poor condition. The bed sheets given to me, were neither properly cleaned nor having its proper size. While making enquiry with Attendant, he unpleasantly conveyed that he is already running short of bedding and cannot replace. I managed with improper sized bed sheets. After a while, I noticed that the same Attendant was supplying beddings to many waitlisted/without ticket passengers who were occupying floor area of Train and had been charging Rs.50/= per bedding. On asking the same again, Attendant didn't reply. Again I asked Attended to give Feedback/Complaint Register, he pompously replied that he has nothing and complaint can be lodged at Bandra Terminus.

2.Earlier a Sweeper was always available for undertaking the cleaning of toilets in this train. Nowadays, the conditions of all the toilets are unhygienic in absence of any Attendant/Sweeper.

I request you to please take remedial action.

Railway Ticket — e ticket cancelled but not refund amount

train No.14631. due to some reason we have not travelled in this train so please make to arrange refund .we have also TDR file entered on that date.

Indian Railway — unkempt and unhygienic compartments and railway tracks

Dear Sir/Madam,

I was travelling through Igatpuri region, travelling by train from this region gives a very nice look of scenic and serene beauty of this place. But I was very disappointed to see the garbage which constitute mosty paper cups, plastics, plastic bottles etc. along the railway tracks.

I have a small suggestion: Is it possible to have dustbins in every compartment of trains ( I dont think that this will cost much compared to the comfort it will give to the environment). I think that this would reduce the garbage both inside and outside trains ( most of the garbage are on the tracks caused by passengers throwing used items outside the window).

The concept of dustbins are used in trains in Europeon countries.

Subject: VITAL REQUIREMENT OF MORE COACHES IN EKTA EXPRESS 14795/96


The Ekta express 14795/96 has been the great difficulty express for the people of the Bhiwani, Rohtak, Gohana, Panipat districts of Haryana. It is a train with the burden to carry 1000's of daily passengers, families, businessmen, students and tourists travelling between Bhiwani and Chandigarh.
The major problem is that train is linked to Himalayan Queen Express in its common route from Panipat to Kalka. We understand that it may be saving the running costs but the share for the Bhiwani/Rohtak side passengers is way less. We have got only 5 general bogies for our share, even though only one train runs from Bhiwani to Chd and Chd to Bhiwani in a day. Delhi and Chandigarh are linked to each other with many a trains but the Bhiwani-Chandigarh route has only 1 daily passenger train. It would be great if Ekta Express is expanded to accommodate more passengers. AC-Chair car coaches would be a great advantage for senior citizens, business class, families and tourists. This would also be beneficial to the Indian Railways revenue. You may also want to consider the possibility to run the train independently as it can then run on its own saving the half-an-hour delay at the Panipat station as per the linkage of the two trains.
We would be thankful to Indian Railways if our problem is considered and some action is taken in this direction.

sir,i used to regular travel in tata danapur exp (18183/18184)from jasidih to barh and from barh to jasidih. i usually travel in AC Chair car for want of better and cool service,but it is very sorry to say you that now a days the condition of ac chair car in that particular train is very poor. whether ac has to be start or not,its depends on attendant,there are so many cockroach who hindered us to get cool and pleasant travel. we pay almost three times more as compared with the normal charges(general) but the service which is providing is very deplorable. so many un-authorized passengers get entered into the ac compartment and no one were available to prevent them to do so. nigher checking staff nor the rpf staff get attention towards the problem.
you are requested to look into the matter personality and so something which help us to utilize our fair paid against journey.

if these complains were almost 3 year old...railway in whole has gone from bad to worse it is pitiful to see how obnoxiously filthy the AC compartments are...let alone the sleeper class ...I travel mumbai to kolkata mumbai very often for past 17 years. Last 2 years have been dreadful...coaches were badly kept with ample amount of bed bugs. Full compartment is full of cockroaches. Toilets overflow, dirty, & lac of water..i usually travel in gyaneshwari express...due to shift of its time i had traveled in Duronto exp...just to have more bad experience, food given was the worse of the quality I have ever eaten, which obviously gave me a stomach infection persisting till date...i feel reluctant even to waste my time writing this complain because i highly doubt whether or not any action will be taken ever... this is the worse railway ministry I have experienced .

I have request to you if possible please arrange more train services from Hyderabad to Howrah (Rajdhani / Duronto kind of train ). Only daily 2 trains are available on this route. So it’s very difficult to get the seats specially for ladies .

Indian Railways - Western Railway — Infrastructure -unnecessary works at cost of passenger safety

At present makeover of western railway -Churchgate station is going on . All unncessary works like external facade, too smooth flooring (which will facilitate falling of hurried passengers. extravagant finishes in toilets, which is impossible to maintain) are being done. Providing hanging dust bins of plastic with see through window (probably for security reasons, but hte bins won't last for 2 months few have started falling within week of fixing) However many important works like raising of platforms, ensuring effective dipersal foul smell emmitting out of toilet, stopping leakage on external facade on WR headqueter side of the same buidling are being ignored. It seems WR is doing all works it should not do and tax payers money is being wested.

The present kotah floor is being removed by using compressors, the new floor will definately come out at places before its first birthday, besides causing many accidents, as people will spit on them, it will be litterd, wetness from toliet block/subway will be carried to passge even in summer not to think of condition in rainy season.

Question is what layman can understand or think is not forseen by the authorities concerned. The granite slabs provided to columns all along the platform No. 3/4 have come out at number of places in two years time, the quality railway can deliver is eveident the way their own querters all along the railway line they are reapired and painted every year but look like slum colonies at any point of time, even on next day they are painted. Why they want to ruin existing good things by providing substandard one?

Will the autorities take a serious view and stop these decorative works?

there are only one person and he sales the Blankets and Pillows on rs.25/- and he sale Alcohol also inside the train.

I had booked a ticket from Nagpur to Raipur Junctionon 15,03.2011 by train number 12101.The PNR No. is [protected]. On the day of travel the train was late by more than 5 hours and I had lodged a TDR Claim. Within 3 days I got 50 % of the ticket amount. As per the rule if the train is late by more than 3 hours then full refund is to be granted. But in my case I have got only 50%.Almost 6 moths have been passed by and Inspite of several reminders I have not received the balance amont. Kindly look into the matter

Dear Sir / Madam,

I would like to bring your kind attention that We live in Kadugodi (Whitefield), Bangalore and the entire people are suffering due to Whitefield railway authorities irresponsibility. Kadugodi is the place where many patience are coming to get treatment from Saibaba Hospital and everyday there are thousands of people are coming and staying at Kadugodi. Earlier there was railway passage ( Railway Gate) for them to reach kadugodi residance. Due to the over bridge for road transport, they have closed the railway passage and also keeping two or three Goods trains. It is not convenient for all to cross neither through over bridge( It is very narrow and only vehicles can pass through) nor through railway lane.

We suggest Railway to have foot bridge across the lane is more convenient for the public to cross the railway lane and reach the residence. many of patience and old people are struggle to cross the lane from the bus stand to the residence. there is no other way for them to use. To keep this difficulties, I request Railway Minister or authorities to put the Foot Bridge to resolve this.

station parcel office, but the officer on duty replied saying that
they have not received any such consignment till date. Please do
enquire about the non delivery of parcel and take necessary steps to
the trace out the location of the parcel. Sir, it is very sad to say
that Indian Railways are not  giving proper response to their
customers. If a parcel takes more than 10 days to reach the
destination then what kind of service are the railways giving us. I

Indian Railways / E-Ticket — Non refund of cancelled amount of Railway e-ticket

Sir,
I have booked an e-ticket from IRCTC on 02 June 2011 vide PNR No. [protected] (Transaction ID [protected]) for two passengers traveling from Patna Jn to Guwahati. The same e-ticket was cancelled on 23 July 2011 due to unavoidable reason. As per statement of customer care IRCTC, the amount Rs. 3050/- ( refunded amount) has been credited into concerned bank vide receipt No[protected] on 26 July 2011, but till date ( 15 Sept 2011) the said refunded amount Rs. 3050/- not created in to the bank account. It is request to kindly look into the matter and instruction may be given to IRCTC to refund the same amount into the bank account immediately. In this regard, two ATM mini statement (last ten transactions from 14 Sept to 29 July 2011 and another 14 July to 02 Aug 2011) of concerned account from which amount deducted for e-ticket has been attached for your ready reference.

Yesterday, 18th Sept, 2011 I along with my wife & daughter went to New Delhi Railway station to see off her parents. They were going to Kerala by Kerala Express (12626) from Platform No. 3. When we reached the station, I went to take Platform tickets for self & my wife. Unfortunately, there was a notice at the counter which read as "Platform ticket sales are temperorily stopped from 10.09.2011". Then I decided to go straight to the platform without taking the platform ticket because my in-laws, being senior citizens, needed help to take the luggage and put it in the right coach & seat number in the train. After seeing off them, we came out through the overbridge. At the exit point, we sayw 4-5 persons in white shirt & blue pants were standing and asked us for ticket. We told them that we came to sent off our parents and before entering to the platform, we tried to take the tickets, but there was no sale of the platform tickets. They did not agree with that and asked Rs. 506/- (Rs. 500 fine and 6 for platform ticket) from us. We told them that we came to see off our parents because they were not so familiar with Delhi and railway stations. Still they did not hear and after arguing 5 minutes, the official (???) told me that we could down your penalty to Rs. 253/- i.e. they would let my wife free and I was told to pay my fine. Again after some arguement, he again decreased the amout to Rs. 120/-. When I asked for the receipt, he said if I needed the bill, pay Rs.506/-. Otherwise, no bill would be given. The money which I paid has been gone to this bloody's pocket, without any proof. Above all, we could also see that there were so many people were freed without checking. I am still in a doubt that were they Railway officials or some [censored]s??? When I asked about why this checking going on, he said, Railways got some threat from some terrorists that they would attack the railway station. If so, why did not they check at the time of entry??? In one side Anna Hazare is striking for corruption and in other hand, in the capital itself and the world's largest governmnet sector undertaking is having corrupted people. Who can save India???? I don't think any change will happen in the next 50years atleast.
Request the authorities to take a stringent action against these corrupted officials (Day : 18th Sept, 2011; Time : ~12 PM, Place : ND railway station, Ajmeri Gate Side). Form this information, you can findout the officials.

Indian Railway — less refund on confirm and wait listed ticket

sir, I cancelled a ticket on 24/9/2011 for journey from vadodara to patna for 28/9/2011 bearing pnr no [protected]. the ticket was confirmed for 2 passenger and rac for 1. so i should get the refund ater deducting of rs 60. i.e. Rs 20 per ticket for all 3 passengers as clerical fee. but in my case deduction was done for Rs 140. i.e. Rs 60 each for two confirmed ticket and Rs. 20 for rac ticket. Is it right. pl take-up the matter.
