[Resolved]  Indian Railway (Complaint) — Wrong Tickets issued

On 09/03/2008 at around 14:05 pm, I went to purchase three tickets for Howrah at Sheoraphuli station.

I asked the booking clerk - “Please give me three Tickets for Howrah. One ticket should be separate”. I gave one Rs. 100 note inside the window as the payment of fare.

The booking clerk was busy in his work. At the same time it was announced that Down Burdwan Local is coming at Platform No. 5.

I again asked the booking clerk – “Please do hurry since the announcement has already been made for Burdwan local.”

The booking clerk said – “No problem, I am giving three separate tickets.”

I said – “Ok”

The booking clerk said – “You need to give me two rupees more.”

I asked – “Why? This should be Rs. 42 only.”

The booking clerk asked – “Where do you want to go?”

I replied – “Howrah.”

The booking clerk said – “But you have asked tickets for Burdwan.”

I asked – “No, No, I asked the tickets for Howrah. I just told you to do hurry since the Down Burdwan Local has been announced since you did not pay attention just after my query.”

The booking clerk said – “No you are wrong, you did not ask me the ticket for Howrah.”

I said – “Please understand my problem. Other passengers are waiting to catch the Down Burdwan Local.”

He was silent. I again repeated: “Ok Please give me another three tickets for Howrah. Please also give me the tickets for Burdwan which you have wrongly issued for me. You please inform me your name so that I could refer your name while I’ll approach for refund to Railway authority.”

The booking clerk angrily said: - “You come inside the room. I’ll inform you my name inside the room”

I asked – “When I am remitting you the full charges and you feel that you are not guilty then why you would not like to inform me your name.”

The booking clerk said: - “You come inside and give me a note that you have asked tickets for Burdwan, and then I’ll inform you my name. Could you give me this? Do not be very smart.”

I again gave him Rs. 50 and said – ‘Ok, you give me all the tickets and take full amount of fares”

At the end of transaction the booking clerk said – “If you show your cleverness you will be in Jail (Besi chalaki korle bhitore challan kore debo)”

Sir, I would like to register my complaint against that the clerk working in the North counter for cheating me of Rs. 102 and insulting by utilizing the government machinery. I also request you to arrange for refund of the same money alongwith justice of my respect.

I would like to inform you that I regularly travel from Sheoraphuli to Rishra. I am a monthly ticket holder form Sheoraphuli to Howrah. I almost renew my ticket in advance.

The tickets are attached herewith for your kind perusal.

wHY railway is taking superfast charges for special trains. These special trains runs always late more than three hours. I want to draw you attention towards Jharkhand Exp and Magadh exp both trains run 2 to 3 hours late daily since 2006 & this late is not due to public, this is only because of delhi / danapur base controller. these trains are superfast trains so railway must give attention for smooth running of these trains.

Lalquila Express running from Kolkata to DELHI ? WHY THIS TRAIN IS NOT EXTENDED UPTO LUDHIANA. THIS WILL EASE THE TRAFFIC LOAD OF DELHI AS WELL AS PASSANGER WILL BE BENEFITTED

Yesterday (7th-Jul-09), my cook (Mr. Chotu Kumar, age 20 yrs) boarded the train "Yashwantpur Howrah" (train number 2864) from Yashwantpur, Bangalore 7.35 PM.
Details: Coach# S4/36 (Side Upper) PNR Number "[protected]".

He called around 10 AM (8-Jul-09) and said yesterday night the TTE took his ticket and did not return, he does not know the name of the TTE. He was timid and very frustrated and has requested to every one to help but no one helped. He was so frightened, he could not say where he was. I pray to GOD that he reaches Kolkata safely.

I have seen the misbehave of the TTEs & the Railways Police earlier and had raised voice Saveral times and forced them not to do anything wrong.

This behaviour of Railways Employee is unethical and a punishable offense which can happen only when there is a wilful act against the complaint.

I WOULD LIKE TO SEE, IS MY COMPLAINT IS GOING TO BE LISTED FOREVER AND NOTHING HAPPENS OR THE SITE MANAGEMENT IS BETTER THAN THE TTEs and have the willingness to make Indian Railways better.

I could be harsh in my complaint but enough is enough, If I don't get a satisfactory action against the TTE, I would go to the Level who can take action.
I along with my collegue was travelling by "AZADHIND SUPER FAST TRAIN" to Pune on 4th of july'09.The tolet in the same coach was found to be so horrible that one just can not enter to that room because handle bar of the flush was missing in all the four toilet and also after we had our meal from pantry canteen, I requested for a money receiot against our meal and after 12Hrs passded there was no sign of the bill so I went to the pantry Manager and he simply tried to misguide me and at alst he admit that they are having no meal receipt book and I do not know where he found one "Veg BiriYani" slip and gave to me rather we had order for simple rice mill.And you most get surprised that the tray contains only about 10--15gms of bolied rice without Dal and 15-18 numbers of green peas with 2-3mm thickness of paneer about 3nos only in it.Just think we are paying extra charges to travel in that train and what is service you provide to us.Moast importatntly we both return by the same train inS9 coach on 9th july'09 and again the same thing happens with us because all the staff are the same as on that of previous day I copmaint about the toilet to a worker filling the water at DAUND station but he did not respond to it.Is this your kind of valuable service that provides to us??? Beacuse in train tavelling toin between suoth rout the same meal they provide was simply fabulous and the rate far a chicken biriyan is 40 rupees for two pices of chiken and in this train it is 60 rupees with only one peice of chicken having a "BHADDA" tase.If this your kind of service then it is better not to provide this type of service to such a long distance traveller.I hope you most take care of all this matter seroiusly.
Dear Indian citizen I came to India on a leave. I am NRI. For a reason I have to tk a train (Gyaneshwari Super Delux) from KURLA to NAGPUR. Because I have huge luggages. At the entrance of Kurla station the Police officers stopped me and asked me to check my luggages. They opend every luggage. Seen my Passport. Checked my pocket as if I am a criminal. They asked me for Dollars. One of them asked me "How much gold you have ?" I dont know what they want and why they are checking this way. I was getting late and exactly5 mint before the train's departure they left me but one of the Police officer took few dolalrs from my wallet. I was running to catch the train with my huge luggages.
My point is that, Is this the way of cheking everybody's luggages in India ? Why they took my dollars. tho it was not a big amount.
My complaint to Momota Bannerjee. Why these police officers check the passengers who are going OUT of Bombay towards Howrah or Patna? They dont check while the same train arrives at the same station. Why the hell they do their job like this. This shows I came in the 3rd world country.

Just I want 2 know, how many times train will be late then full fair return in Tatkal ticket fair will refund.

I am doing job in Hoshangabad. And my home is at Bhopal.we are atleast 80 people doing dialy updown.we all are also govt employees.and it is complaintfrom all o[censored]s.for daily up down we have monthly pass called MST. but instead of this we have to face many problems during our journey. as we are girls it's not possible for us to do daily journey through jounral bogee. so we sit on reserved bogee's.

and because of that we have to pay penalty no of times in a month Rs..100/- or 200/-. and we dont have any problem on that but some of your employees of flying scott are misbehaving with us even with ladies.

so its our request or suggestion that please railway should issue MST for reserved bogee.we are ready to pay more.

Railway is public utility service and the official of this great institution should be humble and honest towards their service. Here i am lodging a Complain against Railway Reservation clerk Mr. Prasad Rao, who was on duty today i.e. 06.09.09 at Railway Reservation counter, Satyanarayanapuram, Vijayawada, A.P..

Today i have submitted the form to get reservation from Vijayawada to Wardha by Train no.2861 for 19.09.09. the concern clerk mr prasad has issued me a ticket No 32514689 PNR[protected]. bearing journey from Vijayawada to Warora.
after getting ticket, I pointed out his mistake and argued that i have clearly mentioned in the form my destination is WARDHA. How can u issue ticket for Warora? He told both are same station. sir i am aware that Wardha is nearly 200 KM from Warora. I told the fact. And Wardha is having another station named Sevagram. But this gentalman was not agree with me. He abusely told me to cancel the ticket. I asked who will bear the charges, He replied that passanger has to bear. Sir this 60/- cancellation charges are not that much important. But the way how was he behaved with me in presence of so many persons is not tolerable.
One thing, i would like to ask sir that if by mistake, a person writes a destination where train does not go, will u issue ticket to him.
Sir, all records in reference to my reservation is with u, i strongly want that action should be taken to such employees who, do not bothered the glory and prestige of their institution.
I hope i will get justice.

Dear Sir / Madam,
I am Asam Khan, we have taken three genral ticket from MANMAD Jn. to KALYAN Jn. of Rs. 55 per ticket which was for slow express, we don't know about that. while taking the ticket we had told to counter lady ( age more than 55 years) that we want to go kalyan by 4:15 pm ( Varansi exp.) she has given us ticket for the same.Train has come and we have started our jorny.

when we reach on the Kalyan Jn. TC has demand the ticket and we has shown him our ticket. then he ask to us you have to pay fine becouse this is a Fast Express. after long argue we had to pay Rs. 249/- per ticket.

My Question is :-
1. What was our fault ?
2. Why that lady was more than 55 ?
3. this was absulatly yours fault so why will we suffer ?
4. your TC has asked counter lady name and phone number. are you people providing the same details or every passenger will ask same thing from your officers.
5. I want compsation for the same ?
if your grov.is unable to provide the solution for all these question, you people are not deserbing for the same post.

I want repaly within 24 hrs.

With due respect this is to inform you that myself Santanu Chakraborty.I booked a Exp train general ticket on18.10.09 from Uttarpara to Asansol Jn .During booking in Uttarpara ticket counter I told them that I had to go in Chambal Exp.they gave me ticket of Rs57 & no of the same is10561003 .I was ride at that train from Howrah in General compartment & as usual TTE also checked my ticket without any complain.But after reaching in ASN Jn the TC named Mr Sanjeev Kumar fined me Rs 308 as I was told by him that this ticket is not valid in SF train.Now my question is as I told in the ticket counter the name of that particular train also(Chambal Exp)in which I had to go & the TTE of the train also did not tellme anything but in destination I was bound by your TC to gave that fine, who is responsible for this its me or your department, the incident hurt me very much because in my 30 yrs of age I never travel in Railway without proper ticket.Kindly confirm me in which act they fined me and how one can come to know that which one is SF train as this is not written in the train.Excepting your reply soon.
NB:The train left from Howrah in 17.40 and reached at ASN Jn at 20.30 on 18.10.09.

My PNR No.[protected], Confirmed RB3 71 Coach Position 4, I am travelling DBRT RAJDHANI after my confirmation, not provided to my seat, meal & water by TT, Pantary staff (Pintu Kumar who is one of the pantry boy in my coach) right now the time is 16:47 hrs. (4/11/09). If I have pay, why they refused to give me that facilities.

I wanted to know that, can I make journey on confirm railway ticket of my sister, due to change in journey programme all of sudden. If yes, whom can I make correction in my ticket.

I had taken a student concession from the college for a journey from mumbai to khed as well as a concession for a journey from khed to mumbai.I was given a concession for travelling from mumbai to khed
but when I asked for the same at khed station, the ticket provider refused the same and told me that there is
no such concession available.My journey is going to commneced on 24th jan.

I booked two third a/c tickets from the station varkala. A lady issued the tickets by train no 6124 from trivandrum central to villupuram jn in pnr no[protected].The status of my ticket was in w/l 29, 30. I was of strong belief that the a/c ticket will be confirmed. On the date of journey at about 2.30 pm my tickets were confirmed as second class . Actually i booked the a/c tickets. What prompted her to issue second class tickets were unknown to me. It caused much pain and mental agony. There was gross negligence on their part. I filled up the reservation form very correctly. Seeking appropriate remedy.
i am ashish sawant, M.B.A., graduate from mumbai university, conducted a survey on mumbai railway as my project work. i had heard before that at sion unfair means of collecting money from people is carried out. ..the receipt of fine is not provided to the victims and the money goes directly to ticket checker's pocket.


to test this incident i personally carried out a test to check the the truth behind it . i had my ticket, but purposely moved from sion platform 2 to 1(i had ticket from ghatkopar to matunga)...the ticket was valid for 1 hr ...i carried test within 1 hour .

to get caught i purposely moved to T.T., at sion, still i had a valid ticket, i was just watching the laws he bombarded on me, he adjusted fine between to o[censored]s...and does'nt gave any report..

i know that this money goes to his pocket, and not to Indian railway.
LET'S CHANGE THE SYSTEM IF INDIAN RAILWAY SUPPORTS... the name of the ticket checker told was " sameer sheikh"(90% chances that it is a fake name)

i can find his orignal name and can tell you...but it ON depends how much interest does INDIAN RAILWAYS TAKE against my complaint ...

waiting for reply...sure that no one is going to look into the matter.
