Hi,

I wish to go to Lucknow from Mumbai and was waiting online in the morning at 8:00 am on 10th April to book the tatkal Ticket for 15th April. The tatkal quota was supposed to open for 15th on 10th only. Before 8:00 am the availability for Sleeper class in train 2534 Pushpak was shown as Available 250. but just in 1 min it showed REGRET. I have been experiencing this since last 3 days everyday.
Now theoretically that can be possible with the number of reservation counters and online reservations. But practically everyday the availability for the tatkal quota in the all the classes being exhausted AT ONCE with in a minute is not possible. It takes about a minute to book a ticket even.
In such a case if a person wish to travel cannot travel even with the tatkal ticket. I know there has to be some Travel Agents behind this. But this is really frustating. CAN SOMEONE DO ANYTHING or atleat let me know the contact details of the person who charges extra money to give these tickets.

i think, private agents should not be give facility to book tickets under tatkal quota, , as they missguide customers many times .they must be give facility to book only for "general quota "and "concession quota" only.
the tatkal scheme should only be met for genuine internet /credit card users, who are in need of ticket at last moment. and willing to pay geniunely to government not to middlemen.
Yes, I faced the same problem when Our relatives had to go to Patna from New Delhi. It is incredible that all tatkal quota seats disappears in 1 min.

    I bought a ticket from Faridabad New Town booking counter on 30th Mar 2008 from New Delhi to Sirathu (Superfast). The normal fare for the said distance was Rs 127/-. I asked for superfast then the fare became Rs. 137/-. For the above ticket, the booking clerk charged a sum of Rs. 147/- saying that superfast charge is not printed on the ticket and pay the superfast charge seperately. When I asked to booking clerk that superfast charge is included in Rs. 137/-. By saying this he refused to give me the ticket. I have no time to argue more, Because I have to board the the local train (Kosikalan to Delhi which arrive at 9.00 pm at Faridabad new town) which was announced to arriving shortely at the platform. Ultimately, I have to pay him Rs. 147/-. This was my second chance at the same booking window.

    i had went railway station for booking a ticket at ballabgarh railway station at[protected] there was no any booking clerk at window i asked them about it they said that railway network server is down then i asked when booking will be start they said that i don`t know booking clerk were sitting in group in the room and enjoying but no one repair the computer computer were off.

      This is regard to the corruption in Railways & problems faced by passengers.

      Please refer PNR No : [protected], Train No : 2779, Train Name : GOA EXPRESS, Date of Journey : 4th April, 2008, Boarding : Manmad Junction, Destination : Hazrat Nizamuddin (New Delhi), No of Passenger : 9 (3 with other ticket), Berth No : 41, 42, 43, 44, 45, 46, 57, 58 & 60

      I was traveling along with 8 other passengers including my old parents & my grand mother.

      We have reserved this particular journey some 2 months back which well in advance. But, to our surprise, when we board the train at Mannad Junction, our seats were occupied by passengers who had waiting list ticket or local passengers. Moreover, in our seats, they put their big trunks & other huge luggage for which we had to fight with them.

      Again, the compartment doors were blocked by keeping huge trunks & other luggages. No body can go out when train was stopping at stations & junctions to fill water bottles/bring foods to eat. Even the condition was so bad, that, we didn’t able to use the toilets in the compartments. My mother is heart patient & she is old. My grand mother is even older.

      The ticket checker was least bothered to see whether any unwanted passenger is traveling in the compartment occupying other seats, making them uncomfortable, blocking the gate & toilets etc. Even at night also, where only reserved passengers can travel, these passengers traveled all night creating nuisance in the train.

      We can simply understand that by taking money from the un-reserved passenger, the ticket checker has allowed them to travel & keep their luggage even at night, so why passenger should book ticket in advance if passenger can travel like this.

      The inconvenience we have faced, we can demand compensation from Indian Railway. Hope to get an early reply on this from you

      i did my reservation before 2, 3 days .but it was in waiting list .so i want to check my reservation is in waiting list or confirmed. pls suggest me any website regarding to goa express

      Indian Railways — not able to board to train,doors blocked by luggage

      reference my PNR number [protected], i was to travel from chakki bank to ajmer through train number2414 jat -A11 express on date 1/11/2008.i had my reservation in s 1 compartment, berth 11, 12 from jammu tavi to ajmer. as the train arrived all the compartment were blocked by the army jawans travelling in this particular and there was no GRP policemen to help us in that situation.finally we missed our train and complaint was lodged in the register and conveyed to TDM jammu.after three months i have just recieved a regret letter on 26/12/2008 from TDM railways jammu feeling sorry about the incident. since i had got this reservation in tatkal category, there was no refund from the railways and i and my family(myself, my wife and 2 kids) have to travel by bus as no help from railways was provided.
      i request this forum to take up my complaint with the concerned and help me getting back my refund with suitable penality on railways
      Sir I had reserved tickets one and half month ago but still the seats are not confirmed.As I am travelling along with my preganent wife, so I need to known whether seats are going to be confirmed or no.Train no is 2779 from Miraj to Suogar(MP) its Goa express.Waiting for your reply soon.

        Every week its a torturer to travel in Train Quilon passenger, Train No -727. Ticket less passenger enter inside the reservation compartment frequently (You can see every day torturer)when the train reaches the KULITTHURAI around 5 AM. Ticketless passenger never enter unreservation compartment as they like only reservation compartment to stole things and also disturb the Passenger (reserved) who were under nice sleeping . Even though the TTR and RPF were there not able to control over them. Southern railway has to take some action on this to serve people who is really suffering . Please take action if you are live.

        my name is goutham i am working in engg college i went to train in minjur early morning at 5 o clock that time 5:20 am is the train time but for the past two days the train has reached at 6 o clock so the people's students for college, school, worker etc are suffering a lot everyday the train will coming 10 mintues late so lot of problems and fears will come in daily life
        so please take the seviour action in central to gummudipoondi services thanking u

        Ticket — TTRs' misbehaviours

        sir

        we three ladies were travelling to hyderabad for the first time, from changanassery station. We have already booked the ticket and received confirmation tickets(Train number 7229 and the Ticket PNR number[protected] too. But On journey date ie. 22nd June 10.05 am sunday, we were ill-treated by the TTRs. They told us that your tickets were alotted to someone and you should quit to another seats. The TTR named V.Unnikrishnan mishehaved to us by using abusive words even not considering that we are ladies and travelling for the first time. We got an advise from another TTR to be there in the confirmed seats. But Unnikrishnan and others who followed him spoke to us in rash words and changed our seats from S2 67 69 70 to S2 55 63.

        We submit this complaint that nobody should have such this bad experience from our railway...

        complaint with regard to TTRs' Misbehaviours

        three young ladies who were travelling first time were ill-treated by the TTRs. These ladies booked their ticket to Hyderabad from Changanassery station. They got confirmation tickets too (PNR No. [protected]. they began their journey on 22nd June at 10.05 am by the train shabari express to Hyderabad ( train no. 7229). their confirmed seats were S2 67, S2 69, S2 70. But during their journey they were harassed by the TTR complaining that they did not report to him and their seats were allotted to somebody else. The TTR named as V.Unnikrishnan misbehaved and spoke with these passengers with abusive words. Later these Young ladies were changed to another seats such as S2 55, 63. Why this? . TTRs did not consider them as ladies and not only being their first time journey. Eventhough another TTR advised him not to change their seats, he (V.Unnikrishnan) speaking harsh and abusive words and behaving improperly changed their seats to another seats. Remember! theirs is the confirmed tickets. Why he changed so? why he behaved improperly? . Instead of assisting passengers the railway harasses the passengers. so here we complain

          Hello,
          I am Sasikumar, I used to travel from Madurai to Trivandrum in “727 QUILON Passenger” regularly. It starts from Madurai at 11:15 pm. This train will reach Trivandrum at 6:30 am. Now the problem is, once the train gets in to Kerala, lots of people get in to the reserved coaches and they are disturbing the passengers (They are using reserved comportments with out ticket). From “Kullithuri” there is no ticket checking, any one can travel in any reserved comportments. They don’t allow us to sleep because they want to occupy our place to sit. In return also when the train comes from Quilon also these ticketless travelers are not allowing us to sit in our reserved places, After Trivandrum only the TTR comes for ticket checking.
          I came to know this is not only happening for this train only, this happens to all trains which all are passing to Kerala. Can you please take a needed step on this?

          ya this is happening regularly . i already travelled lot of times in that train .if the train enter kerala border all the unreserved passengers are enter in the reserved coaches.the train is having lot o[censored]nreserved coaches.this is very bad situation of this train.

            It is very unfortunate to find that Railway pantry staffs carrying eatables while chewing Pan/Guthkha/Pan Masala and shouting the name of the item they carry. It is very likely to find instances of pan masala/guthkha on the eatables. I have experienced such cases; very bad. These staffs must be prohibited strictly not to consume pan/guthkha else they shouldnot be employed in such services. There are sufficient manpower in this country who can give such services without chewing Pan Masala .My request to public : Please avoid using those services from unhygenic pantry staffs stating them the reason . Since we all know : as usual nobody (govt) is going to take any corrective action for this. Better we (people) should protest.The only way is to aware public.

            Indian Railways — cleanliness and facilities

            I am travelling regularly, twice a month, from ahmedabad to mumbai, and mumbai to ahmedabad, in 2nd a.c.

            since four months i have noticed dat the compartment, in which i travel the most A-1, is always dirty. seats are dusty, the passages are also very dirty, and what to say about toilets? very foul smelling, and uncleared ...

            Bedsheets are mostly not cleaned, but pressed...

            No points for mobile charging or for laptop..

            WHY ???????????

            This is questions to railway ministry.. who will take such care ?

            Previously i was travelling by 3rd a.c., i had found that comparments clean, toilets are mostly clean, with electric points..!!!

            If you are charging more, then you should provide more .
            What more do you expect in this filthy country? Soon you will see snakes also. This is a slum dog country where more than 100 people are cramped into a coach like filthy pathetic animals. Accept, compromise and please try to live without any complaints. If you cannot, then migrate to a better country please. slumdogs dot wordpress dot com

            train coach & tolets - very dirty,
            train coach number - not parmanet,
            mobile charger points - not working,
            local passengers - no control

            Train No.:- 9131 Kutch Express ( Bandra to Bhuj) Dept timing 17.10 from Bandra following problems are there

            1) Bedsheet/ Napkins/Blanket are extremly dirty and not cleaned
            2) Toilet cleaning also not poor
            3) Pilows are dirt

            Indian Railways — Cleanliness

            This refers to my travel to Jalgaon by 3202 DN, LTT-Patna Express on 27.01.2010.

            It was a pathetic situation when I could see pests and insects inside the 2A compartment of this train. On enquirying, I was told that you should consult with the person responsible for cleaning the train.

            Every responsible person is busy in blaming the other and that no one is interseted in look on the point of customer satisfaction.

            Paying a good amount of Rs. 700/-, i was forced to travel as if in an unreserved compartment full of dirt and stinky situation.

            Though the RAilways ministry is working towards great customer satisfaction by introducing good amount of trains, but, on the other had there are situations where people are forced to travel in situations of helplessness.

            Will ever a change come in this particular subject or We, the citizens should travel in the same conditions as of this.

            Hi,

            I was traveling from Bangalore to Nagpur in month of November by Sanghmitra Express; I realized that no one is paying attention for the cleanness of coaches. Coaches were in pathetic situation.

            I request Indian government to strictly order the railway personnel to clean the train properly and time to time.

            I am working on the Indian Railways for about 20 years now. Having reached a senior position, here is my suggestion. This happens in china and I'm personal witness to this. We need to provide brand new linen to passengers each time and the cost can be added to the price of the ticket. After the travel is over these can be auctioned and the money deposited into Railways as an alternative source of revenue in the passenger earnings.

              Un washed bed sheets & blanket

              We are traveling from train no.6512 Korba Yashwantpur exp. on dt. 04/04/2008. my PNR no.[protected].
              With us following PNR passenger are also.
              1. Aditi Chattterjee PNR no. [protected]
              2. Teja Moza PNR no. [protected]

              All the bed sheet & blanket supplied are totaly unwashed. And this is in complete compartment. Attendant says this is from last 1 year & we are also saying but nobody taking care of this.br...

              Indian Railways — incomplete transaction

              Hello,

              Today (08/03/2010) I have done an online transaction to purchase a ticket on 2229 lko mail from lucknow to new delhi boarding on 26/03/2010 for Yousuf Agha. Unfortunately after the payment was made through SBI payment gateway, the error, "& REDIRECT=https://www.irctc.co.in/cgi-bin/bv60.dll/irctc/booking/bankresponse.do?... came up without giving me the confirmation of the payment and neither the ticket is generated.

              This is really embarrasing situation and IRCTC is expected to help me at the earliest with the ticket if the payment is already confirmed at their end. If not refund the same amount.

              Expecting a reply as soon as possible.

                sir,
                My father aged 72, ma mother aged 61 and my brother son age 6yrs where having reservation form Betul by train no on dt[protected] on reaching station we find that the coach position ie. S1 is 6th from engine on the chart prepared by indian railway and we stand accordingly but when the train arrived the supose coach was far behind any how the potters logged the luggage in the coach but my parents where forced to get into other coach as if the stopage was limited and train started moving till now i am not sure that whether they are safe
                when i enquire the same with railway staff they said they are not responble for the same

                1. The same thing happens at Sambalpur Railway Station of Sambalpur Division also happens.
                2. Last time I had to board at Agra railway Station where the Nizzamuddin Visakhapatnam Express stops only for 5 minutes I was waiting at platform the Coach position was not lighted till the train arrived and with much difficulty I have to board the train in different Coach. The Display lights of coaches are useless

                What is the benefit of giving the coach number Lights and positions etc when the negligent railway employees are there to harass the passengers. They forget that they are getting the salary from the tickets of this passengerss. They can only demand for salary and bonus.
                regarding carelesness of railway staff

                My self 61 and my wife 51 where having reservation form Guahati to Delhi by train no 2501on dt[protected] on reaching station I found that the coach position ie. A1 is quit ok after reaching New Bongaigaon I found that the 2nd AC coach like a market as different venders from out side coming in coach for selling their commodities and also beggers are moving in side the coach I asked to care taker for this but nothing taking care for this . So kindly look after this matter and give a safety to passengers.
                I am not sure to whom this complaints will go or should go . But up to some extent I am sure that it is the responsibility of IRCTC people who should check the quality of items being sold at the shops available on different platforms.
                If any thing is old, outdated and not able to sale any where then it can be sold at railway station. That we know. Especially I found it when i was travelling from lucknow to chennai. at Jhansi railway platform when I found the mineral water which was manufactured one year before was sold to me. Generally Jhansi is known to be the place of crime. of course it was proved again. printed price some thing selling price much more. if the customer comes to know then they return the money otherwise no.


                it seems that with the IRCTC brand on the top of the shop all nonsence works and IRCTC poeople sleeping !!!

Till now he is not return the amount. Please direct me how the amount will be returned. If this type of theep working in Railway Department naturally the Department will blamed.                 yes, similarly the railway staff at phagwara junction, punjab are very rude and wasting the money of government. most of the times he keep talking on his mobile phone..and then give ticket to those whom he knows n those standing in queue like a bewkuf can do nothing..aur bolne pe gussa dikhata hai kamina...thats enogh from my side ... so any one if can help..please save the nation from these duffer type of person who is irresponsible towards his job...
                I m Sudha Rani from Nidadavole junction, west godavari district, Andhra pradesh. My complaint is that no one is responding in the enquiry counter in Telephone Number, our house is so far that we can't go to the enquiry counter for query everytime, even if we miss the train bus stand is so far.. Most of the time no one is seen in the counter also. Do the needy.

                I am Santosh Kumar Maharana, loss my valuable VIP suitcase (gray color, Big size, with dark green color cover) in SWARAJ EXPRESS (Train No. 2472, standing train, Coach No S3 Seat No 57, 58) at DELHI railway station (Platform No.8) on 04.05.2010 10:10PM. After aware my looseness I have immediately inform to the on-duty railway gun men and also to the patrolling GRP officer. No body was responding me and I got a reply of “THIS IS AN EVERY DAYS ISSUE! To WHOM WE RESOLVE THE ISSUE, ”. Finally I lost my suitcase and I reach my destination station Ratlam for write a FIR against my looseness.
                Wherever Employees are engaged for the particular job (To help/cooperate the passengers) response and getting salary for that, the result is HELP & HOPE LESS OF THE PASSENGER. Request to look into the matter and take an action on such type of issue please.
                In-case any information regarding my VIP suitcase please intimate me on my cell no [protected] / [protected].

                sir i am uday shah from bihar but my business is in andhra pradesh, i went to bihar on 30-05-11 for personal work and i completed our work, so i went to madhubani railway station for tatkal ticket early in the morning 4 am. but i saw the position of the railway reservation counter was very bad because there was too many brokers and they are doing gundaism. the time was 4 am when i was in the Q in second number .after 2 hours 4 or 5 members came to me and they told to go back in 5th number i ask why you r saying me to go back they start to missbehave with me .bcause they all are brokers gunda's .then i get upset and i back to home .i thought it was difficult to take ticket from counter so i went to railway ticket brokers and he ask me to give 1500/- for one person for tatkak ticket i shocked .again i went to madhubani railway reservation counter at night 11 pm but again same problem i got there finally i take tatkal waiting list ticket.and .i request to railway government please take serious action other wise poor people who goes for jobs to out side off bihar how does they pay this huge amount.they are brokering with gundaism.and who gives ticket to te counter he was also partner of this type of gunda brockers.because he have own 2 or 3 form in his pocket.and ther was no ticket checking aunthority on railway station and no rpf .was there people are getting too much problem from this type of brockers .. and they brockers are dangerous for simple people finally i request to bihar government please take serious action to this issue because after a long period we are filing happy to do our business freely out side of bihar and there was a good image for nitish kumar government. but this type of people are the source of insult of the state and state people and state government.

                  I am a regular traveller between Chennai and Ernakulam by train nos 6042/6041, Alapuzha-Chennai Express. From Chennai to Alapuzha, after Trichur, season ticket holders are allowed in sleeper class. The sleeper coaches would be like an overcrowded general compartment, with passengers sitting on top berths, standing on the corridirs. It is not possible for a reserved passenger even to go to to toilet.

                  The Indian Railways should ensure that sleeper class remains reserved.

                  In case IR wants to accomodate season ticket holders, IR should restrict the reservation upto Trichur and declare all the coaches as unreserved.

                  there is so much ruch during unseason also
                  during season many families face problem of reservation
                  so, i request u to start more trains towards rajasthan. it is the sixth bussiest staton in india
                  As per my knoledge This is illigal to travel in reserved compartment with a seson tickit. but In India this crime is regularised. there is no option to bare the pain or to book tickit of AC compartment.
                  There should be some check in the section referred above and this complaint need to be mailed to the CCM(PS) and GM of the concerned Railways which will be available in the reference of the Time Table of the concerned Railway. As for Season Tickets(ST) there are certain trains which have nominated coaches for carrying the ST holders if the Train you mentioned has restriction mentioned in Time Table for short distance passengers, then surely the Railway has to take action against them. This is for your information and necessary action.

                    AN ADVICE TO WL, RAC STATUS PASSENGERS: In the future do not ever buy these tickets... They exist just to rip u people off. Until or unless we passengers do not stand up together and start boycotting such services, no point expressing your grievances here on the forum... Believe me, its a waste of time... That way the Indian Rail will realise...

                      Here in Secunderbad reservation counters. While filling up of the forms the coloumn is there for putting the choice for berth i.e Lower Berth, Uupper Berth or Middle Berth. But the reservation clerk like Mr. Sidaqqui or Counter clerks do pay attention or never looks in that choices and feeds their own choices in the computer which gives Middle berth or Upper berth to old citizens or ladies with infants or small childrens. I faced the same problem for my parents and my wife with infant. The choice have been made personally also but it is of no use and we were rewarded with 02 UB, 01 SU and 01 SL at somewhere else in the coach. Kindly look into this matter for future inconvinience to other railways passengers. Mr. Lalu Prasad trying to make the Secunderabad rly stn international but his staff is contributing in blank

                      I think every Govt. servant think that the ordinary citizen has no rights in front of them, whereas they enjoy all sorts of security from the staff, Uniouns and govt. Any thing said against them is projected as anti Govt,
                      I was today for 2 hrs standing in the que for the return reservation of my mother in law, The booking clerk was accepting the requistion forms from both the lines i;e Gents & Ladies, but when my number came a lady from nowhere put her hand in between and gave th eform to the booking clerk, the clerk inspite of requesting by people did nothing to the lady but in against my objection stopped to accepting forms and called the RPF and complained against me with help of thier other staff who took her side. I was threatened by the cops and latter released. Anyhow i returned home frustated and agony in my heart that I was humilated and treated like a dog by our own Govt machinery, Today only the Govt had put up the Womens Bill in the parliament, Just imagine what must have thought in my heart for that bill...
                      I leave that for all o[censored] to guesss...!

                        The railway time of southern railway - trivandrum division is 3 minutes past than Indian Standard Time.So sometimes we miss the train.I complaint about this matter in railway enquiry and they said that railway time is 3 minute past than IST in trivandrum division.So please do the necessity action to correct trivandrum railway time with IST.

                        May I know why Ernakulam railway station in Kerala is neglected and no funds are been raised to develop it considering that it is the busiest railway station in Kerala in terms of traffic.

                        The reservation counters in Ernakulam needs to be modernised.

                        It is very sad to see such a pathetic condition of the station and the roofs needs to be modernised.

                        Please provide me the details of railway station in terms of passenger traffic, that is the list of station with most rush.

                        for that just pay RS.10/- in any of the railway station, take receipt attach with the letter and sent.
                        Why Kochuveli station near Trivandrum is so pathetic? Why Trivandrum division is neglecting this satellite station of Trivandrum which is hosting many long distance trains?


                        I arrived Kochuveli from Mumbai by Garib Rath express only to find a deserted platform with no amenities and public transport. This is shocking for passengers like me who come for official visit.

                        Please provide connecting local trains from Kochuveli to Trivandrum Central till public transport is made available. Also provide ticket counters, IRCTC canteen, waiting rooms, etc. in the platform. Otherwise please donot run long distance trains like Garib Rath to Kochuveli.

                        The ladies compartment at the end of Venad Express from Trivandrum to Shornur is a very small one attached to the disabled compartment, having a seating capacity of only 20 seats. It is a known fact that all working women, lady students and others use the 2 ladies compartment, hence it is very crowded and practically impossible to get in from chengannur onwards, especially during Mondays and Fridays. Practically we have to stand upto Tripunithura atleast. It would be a great help if the normal big compartment is allocated.
                        Request for train stop

                        The jan shadhabdhi express is currently having no stop at Cherthala which is surprising to see so. There are lot of passengers who work in cherthala who are using other mode of coveyence to travell from Trivandrum to cherthala and also some are getting down at Allepy and travelling 22 ms by other moe of conveyance. As the time suits for official requirement kindly do a survey and implement a stop at Cherthala also as it will be the only stop between Allepy and Ernakulam.

                        I am a central government employee working in ernakulam starting my journey from kottayam in venad express. there is one very much difficulty regarding shifting our railway stop from south to north so that 90% of the ladies are getting in the last ladies compartment. For the 3 months we are having a 1/4 compartment as ladies compartment. WE all are suffering a lot that from kottaym we cannot enter into the compartment which is having only 4 seats. from kottayam there are three stations ettumanoor, piravam road and tripunithura. this is very hard situation. you please do one favour that LIKE EARLIER A FULL COMPARTMENT INSTEAD OF THIS 1/4 COMPARTMENT MAY BE GIVEN TO US A LADIES COMPARTMENT IN THE BACK SIDE.

                        Pl acknowledge the message and do the favour for us. I am writing this for the whole ladies in the venad train.

                        I am a regular railway traveller between Ernakulam & Calicut. I reserve by internet and travel by Intercity/ Janshatabdi. I am very comfortable and very happy. I read comfortably whenever I travel.
                        But recently I have been noticing with dismay a trend in some of the passengers. Astonishingly, these are educated class and employed. Some of them are goverment employees also.THEY TRAVEL WITHOUT TICKETS. They get into the train as it leaves a station(till that time they remain with some tea/news paper vendor). Immediately they befriendle with you even if you are reading/remain don't care. They convey that long queue prevented them from taking a ticket and they travel for urgent purpose. Some of them remain in toilets for long to avoid TTE and some of them are ready to pay fine.
                        Yesterday, as I was travelling from CLT by Janshatabdi Exp., a group of about 5 persons crowded the TTE at his seat and they declared that they were not given tickets to Kuttipuram from Calicut. TTE immediately informed that the train would not stop at Kuttipuram and demanded fine for ticketless travel. They moved away under the guise of collecting money from their friends and disappeared at Tirur station.
                        Kerala was known as a state where ticketless travel was considered as shame. Now a section of people have started to make it a fashion. Slowly anti social elements may adopt this method. kindly arrange to get regular feedback from TTEs/ Ticket examiners.

                        we don't get tatkal ticket in reservation counters even though we stand in que line from before12am . after getting in the line we are treated as dogs as we pay more for tatkal charges and stay more than 10 hours with out fan and uncleaned place with full of mosquitos and insect .

                        Respected Sir,
                        I want to bring these facts to your notice with the expectation that, surely you will look into this and will give remedy to this problem.

                        After clearing the landslip in Nagercoil- Trivandrum sector, the train starting from Trivandrum in the morning by 0700 hrs use to reach Nagercoil only after 1000 Hrs. We the office goers suffered a lot because for us no other way other than this train. when we complained about this to the station master at Nagercoil he told he can't do anything and the reason is because of single line. But all other trains going towards trivandrum in the morning session are reaching the destination in time by using the same single line. The train will left exactly by 0700 hrs without fail and will reach Nemom by 0710 and will wait upto 0730 for Kanyakumari-Mumbai train and again will reach by 0800 hrs and will wait for Nagercoil Trivandrum 1st passeneger upto 0810. So in all stations this passengers will be retained for passing other trains. Please give instructions to the concerned officers to see that this morning passenger must reach Nagercoil Jn exactly by scheduled time i.e 0905 Hrs.

                        Evening for returning also only one train is there. The scheduled time from Nagercoil is 1820 Hrs. But we have to wait for the arrival of Banglore Kanyakumari Exp upto 1900 Hrs. We made a written complaint about this on 27.12.10 to Station Master, Nagercoil. Now from 28.12.10 what they are doing is exactly by 1820 this train will be sent from Nagercoil but we have to wait at Eraniel station for more than 30 minutes for the arrival of both Island Exp and the 1st Passenger train from Trivandrum. So the net effect is we will be reaching Trivandrum Central Station only after 2100 Hrs. Scheduled arrival time is 2025.

                        Please help us.

                        last wednesday[protected] my two wheeler vehicle was parked at Trivandrum railway parking area regarding to my ernakulam journey. Thereafter i took my vehicle[protected] night 9.50 pm. They are collected 17Rs from me. Moreover they stealed 5 litre petrol from my vehicle. I was complaint to parking authority . Then they behaved me very indecently. This is not good thing. Hence i request that kindly take an action against them to do not repeat it any others. I already submit the complaint to the Thampanoor police station.
                        One more thing in railway has give any criteria about parking fees if yes then please take the proceedings show the notice board

                        The Ladies compartment in the Kottayam- Eranakulam passenger train ( No 342 SR =56386) will have locked doors when it comes to Ettumanoor station on many days. If someone is inside they will open the doors for the ladies. Today there were nobody within and the ladies were trying to open it till the train started and they found stranded on the platform when the train started to move. They tried to enter the general compartments but the eastern doors of the adjoining compartments were also locked. The started panicking and boarded the moving train in the later compartments. It was a dangerous situation. Why there is no arrangement for opening the doors of the train? Or who is responsible?

                          I am holdig your card no [protected] since last 2 years or more.One common problem was there many times.Like due date for my payment is 29th of every month.For the same cheque deposited through drop box on 24th or 25th comes to my bank for collection in next month.Then you charge late fee; which is reversed on call to customer care.
                          My question is why one should waste time in this process?
                          I always requested to accept cheque on any of your bank counters.
                          Every time repply was negative.
                          If you accept the cheque or cash at any of your bank branches both o[censored]s will be in win win situation.Both o[censored]s will have proof.
                          Your present is providing coushion for delayed payers.
                          For this matter you can refer my case.
                          I had dropped a cheque of Rs.1300 on 24/1/2008 to your drop box which came to my bank in last week of Feb 2008.
                          By chance I had conveyed the cheque number and bank details to your customer care alongwith details of drop box on 24/1/2008 itself.
                          Still you chrged me late fees and other charges ; also forced to pay the amount and suddenly the cheque came for collection to my bank for which your system denieghed to adjust that amount against EMI.
                          You can refer my email dated 17/2/2008 in this matter.
                          Also you can refer my emails during August 2007.
                          Now the same thing happened again.
                          I had deposited cheque through drop box on 25th of August which came to my bank on Sept 27th 2008.
                          You chrged late fees to me.This time I kept mum neither I called to customer care also; because I am fed up of this harrashment.
                          On 29th of September I was just to move to make payment of Rs.1250.00 to our Pune's collection centre at Senapati Bapat Road; I got a call that your person is coming to collect the payment. Next day your person came and collected the cheque now in the statement of Oct 2008 you charged cheque pick up fees. Why ?
                          I have paid my installment on 29th of october evening at your Pune collection centre.And request you to remove late fees charged in Sept 2008 statement And cheque pick up charges charged in Oct 2008 statement.
                          Also think seriously about above matter.Being customer I strongly feel that you are more interested in collecting these charges from us as major source of income.
                          Other matter is if some more amount is being paid by your customer you don't adjust the same against EMI of next billing cycle.If EMI and card has no connecton for accounting matter then create two saperate identities for easy understanding of customers like me.
                          As a sample case you can study my statements with a C.A. whether it is easy to understand ?
                          Also the language of your call centre follow up persons is so worst
                          it made me to go to police.

                          All these days I was thinking that only i was facing problem with SBI.but many peaople seem to share the same views. I had advised to cancell my card on the 6th Dec.2008 and was inforemd thru one person that the remaining amount can be paid after receiving the Dec.2008 bill that will be recd. druing the first weeek of Jan2009. Meanwhile i have received more than 50 call sfor SBI credit card and none of them seem to be aware of my card cancellation. Instead they are asking me for the cancellation assurance and compalint no., which they are supposed to have given.Meanwhile they say that 27th Dec. is the due date, therefore another 2000 is added on and now I am to pay Rs.34000 as against 32, 715/-
                          I really donot understand what is going on and what are your terms?
                          If I get any more bills for service charges etc., I will not pay and will really take seriou action. Evey time u want us to contact us only thru the toll free no. and we are kept on hold for along time. this was not the practice when u sold the card to us.
                          similalry, I was instructed to get the gift for my reward points form the website, but ur site never opens for the reward points.

                          These stupid SBI Card people is harressing me every time, they don't send the bill to the mailing address and they call me only after due dates and it has been intimated to the concerned department, but the reply is not there. they have collected huge penalties, late fee, interest from me. apart from being paid the total outstanding as per the collection person(outsourced) statement. they are generating a balance of 3000+ as due and send the sms to my mobile now and then. they are drinking human blood and I don't know when this is going to stop.
                          Sir, I would like to bring to your notice that I have opted to close my account long back but every month i am still getting the statement from you. Till date I have no intimation whether I am rejected or my card is made.I am regularly getting sms's regarding the scheme etc on my mobile. A bank of such repute cannot do like this to a customer.                           Mine is tipical case with SBI Card. SBI Card's base line being 'make life simple' they really make it miserable. My card [protected]. Their statements never come on a frequency. This card expired on September 2009. The card was never renewed. I never opted for renewal. MISCERY IS - Renewal Charges are debited every year. On the top of it Insurance Premiums were debited for which no Policy Documents are sent. How can one make a claim having an expired card on hand. The beauty of the story is - Penal Charges, Late Payment Fee, Financial Charges on such absurd amounts accumulated. For this kind of great service - they charged service charges also. The topping of this ice cream is - they have charged some amount on some security protection policy - for an expired card. Now they asking me to make a payment of about 4000 and odd.

                          My father in law had used a standard chartered bank credit card back in 1996. There was balance of Rs.1000 at that time. Since then he has not received any statments or correspondence till date. Suddenly out of blue on the 18th August'09 he has received a letter from the bank stated a due of Rs 13 lakhs to be paid to the bank with in 15 days from the receipt of the letter.

                          Pls suggest what needs to be done to avoid paying such huge amount.

                            Sir Pune Railway Station ka haal bahot bura hai. Agar hamara Reservation hai to thik hai but agar hame GENRAL CLASS me jana pade to aisha lagta hai ki humne reservation Kyu nahi kiya?
                            Pune ke station me Train lagne se pehle GENRAL CLASS walo ke liye line lagti hai. Jisse passenger aaram se Train me Baith sake "It's GOOD" but yaha GENRAL CLASS me baithne ke liye police 2 line lagewati hai.

                            Pehla TICKET wale
                            Dusra jo TICKET + SEAT ka paisa dene wale.

                            Pune ke station me Police aur kuch bahri log milker Genral Class ki seat 30-40 rupee me bechte hai. Ye unka dhandha ban gaya hai. yaha tak ki R.P.F. ke log bhi mile hue hai.
                            isse Passengers ko bahot problem hoti hai. aur to aur raste me kai CHAKKE train me chadte hai aur passengersse jabardasti 10-20 rupees le lete hai.
                            Passengers bahut peresan ho jate hai.
                            PLZ iske liye kuch keriye khaskerto GENRAL CLASS me journey kernewale passenges ke liye.

                            Railway — bribe

                            Just came accross a victim who was tourchered by a civil dressed railway personal for carrying a TV. The incident happened in the station just besides the B4 compartment of konark express about 15.10 on 21.08.2011. The persol alleged to be railway vigilance took Rs500 bribe in presence of number of passengers waiting outside through the shopkeeper of the B-NATURAL stall on platform number-1.

                            Request to forward the same to appropriate authority for action against the stall and the railway official.

                              I regret to inform that I have travelled from Nellore to Howrah on March 25, 2008 by Howrah Mail. I boarded the train from Nellore (NLR) on[protected] at 02:30 AM and noticed that lever to flush water found missing in the Toilet in the coach S1 and faulty western sink in S2.

                              None of the train officials / staff were bother to check and install a new one. It is further noted from the on duty train officials that the lever to flush water found missing in the Toilet in the coach S1 and faulty western sink in S2 for so many days.

                              Please bestow your immediate personal attention and provide basic amenities to the passengers.

                              Indian Railways — No Flush in Toilets of the entire Coach

                              Sub: K. Sathish Babu, Transaction ID [protected] and PNR No.[protected] – Travelled from NLR to HWH on March 24, 2008 by YPR HOWRAH EXP – Complaint about 1) none of the leavers working in the ‘Coach S6’. 2) Berth Numbers are not as per printed tickets.


                              I regret to inform that I have travelled from Nellore to Howrah on March 24, 2009 by 2864/YPR HOWRAH EXP. I boarded the train from Nellore (NLR) on[protected] at 05:30 AM and noticed that none of the levers to flush water found working in the entire coach of S6.

                              None of the train officials / staff were bother to check and install a new one. It is further noted from the on-duty train officials that the same coach is being run for so many months without any proper flush in the coach S6.

                              It is further disturbing that berth numbers printed on the ticket and manually written in the coach are different. This led to huge fighting between the passengers. On duty TTE rendered no help in this regard. I understand that this had happened due to withdrawal of Side Middle Berth.

                              Though no side middle berths were allotted, the berths were physically available in the coach of S6 and TTEs have sold all the Side Middle Berths to so many people who are not suppose to board the train with valid tickets.

                              Please bestow your immediate personal attention and provide basic amenities to the passengers and arrest the business of TTEs.

                                Reg: Indian Railway's online ticket booking site - IRCTC.


                                “Lallu-ji, along with all the tall claims like 25000 crore surplus by Indian railways, magic of Indian Railways etc etc., please do something for passengers in ground reality also.”

                                The other days, I have been trying to book an e-ticket. After several attempts and after at least 10” Service Unavailable” screen, finally, the IRCTC site allowed me to go to the next stage, but the worse was still ahead. I tried three times to book e-ticket for a particular segment The IRCTC site took me till last stage, even payment made from ICICI bank’s direct debit window, , payment confirmed, The last page comes is " We regret to mention that your ticket could not be completed due to one of the following reasons” 1) communication failures 2) more than 60 days) blah blah blah…….. While by doing these, the ticket availability will shift from “ available” to “ RAC” to “waitlisted” Earlier, the “ All corrupt booking official use to manipulate the manual booking system, to give tickets to the touts, Now it seems that the online booking system also became corrupted by these touts.

                                I ask IRCTC, is it really impossible to avoid such nuisance, Is it really impossible for the Indian railway to offer suffering free ticket booking facility atleast, Even after earning 25000 crore, can’t you put in place minimum technology for the ticketing at least on the face of so many tall claims by MR Lallu Yadab like surplus of Indian railway 25000 crores, Indian railway magic etc etc..

                                I stay away from my parents and all thanks to the irctc.com, i am never able to meet my parents as I am never able to book ticket for me in tatkal quota. The long awaiting queue in general quote never gets confirmed, and if you wish to book it online in tatkal quota, teh server is always down, which ultimately says, "session expired".

                                I want to ask teh railways government that if you are not capable enough to give fast iternet services, atleast, dont try to lure us by showing that you are offering teh facility, It is of no use, and it waster almost one hour.

                                    I hereby, bring to your kind attention that AC -3&AC-2 coaches are horrible in Sialdah-Amritsar Akaltakht Express(2317/2318).Cockroaches and mice move about freely in the coaches.Is RAILWAYS so inefficient that it cannot arrange for cleanliness & hygiene at least in AC coaches? Also, I would like to tell u that birth lights are not in working condition in AC-2 coaches. Will u please arrange 4 it and oblige your customers?

                                    All this points for South Eastern Railway in West Bengal :
                                    1> More local train is required for Howrah - Midnapur as frequency is now 1 hour and sometimes more.
                                    2> As the Howrah - Midnapur jurney is 3 hrs so toilet is required.
                                    3> As Kharagpur is declared as a industrial zone but there is poor service in train.As the maximum Employees service here in 3 x 8 ( 24 hrs ) shifts, so after 22 hours Midnapur-Howrah local train to be introduced.
                                    4> Double line is required for Kharagpur - Midnapur section with a rail Bridge in Kansai Nadi.
                                    5> Kansai Halt station to be made a permanent Station as the Minapur City is expanded.
                                    6> In Kharagpur there is a lot of vacant space of railways, if rail can build flat with private partnership it will be helpful for commom people as max company has no housing for their Employees.
                                    7> More gallopping local is required and it should be stopped at Santragachi station in up / down jurney.
                                    Hi,

                                    Today morning at 7.00 AM I went to drop my niece at the old delhi railway station, after a great difficulty I managed to find car parking in gandhi maidan (yes there is no car parking inside the station). After that I went to buy platform ticket and after standing in a que for almost 20 mnts I was told to go to a different counter (No12), when I went to this counter there was no one sitting at that time and the only counter open was the Ladies from where men were also buying the tickets. It must be around 7.30 AM by that time and the duty changed. when my turn came and I asked for the platform ticket, this man started behaving in a rudely manner and started abusing me saying that I am standing in a ladies que to get fun etc and etc. and he will put me in jail. It was very humiliating and have decided never to take the Indian railways. I hope you take proper action against such illetrate, highly impolite emplyees I will appreciate if you can call me for identification of this man who misbehaved and the department takes necessary action against such employees who have no accountibilty and decency to talk to people.

                                      This is to inform you that my E-ticket Refunds ( details mentioned below) has not been credited to my credit Card Card account despite of submitting the TDR's and request letter well within stipulated time to appropriate offices and regular follow ups every week.

                                      Even this is dully acknowledged and then requested by Mr V P Indoria – Sr Consultant IRCTC, New Delhi wide his letter nos. 2003/IRCTC/ERTD/Refunds dtd 6/12/2007. This letter from IRCTC clearly mentions that the applicant has applied and submitted all the relevant documents in time and the e-tickets refunds due to him should be considered.

                                      Despite of this, it appears that there is non-compliance of the order of IRCTC E-Ticket Refunds Branch letter nos: . 2003/IRCTC/ERTD/Refunds dtd 6/12/2007.

                                      May I sincerely request you to pls look in the matter and do the needful to actuate the refunds due to me at the earliest and oblige.

                                      I was supposed to travel from New-Delhi to Baroda on 31/5/2007 ( we were a group of 19 family friends supposed to travel by 2952 Rajdhani Express ) but the train was cancelled on that day because of the Riots / Track damages caused due by ongoing Rajasthan Gurjar Riots at that point of time... I deposited all my Six E-Tickets at Hazrat Nizamuddin Raliway Station and obtained a TDRs. Out of this SIX TDR's I am fortunate that I have received Refunds for Three TDR's.

                                      The TDRs for E-Tickets were then forwarded to Chief Commercial manager – Refunds, New Delhi on 7/6/2007 by Registered Post.

                                      Since, the destination station of my travel falls under Western Zone, the TDR's were forwarded to Chief Commerical Manager – Refunds, Mumbai.

                                      Indian Railways (Western Railway) — Not refunding cancelled ticket amount

                                      I had cancelled my ticket from Vadodara to Mumbai - travel for 14th March, 2008 by 3T A/c by Navjivan Express Train Number 2655. The cancellation was done by me at Vadodara and Surrender Receipt issues to me is 431100 dated 4th March, 2008. Thereafter I have sent reminders on 5th March, 2008, 12th April, 2008 and 30th April, 2008 to Chief Commercial Manager, Refunds, WEstern Railway, Churchgate Station, Mumbai but they have bothered to either refund my money or reply to me. The amount involved is Rs 2309/-. I am a senior citizen living solely on pension income and I find this delay is causing substantial financial and mental stress to me.

                                      I Booked my ticket From Mumbai to New Delhi, via AUG KR RAJ EXP, 2953(24-MAY-2008).
                                      I was ready for Journey, Unfortunately train is cancelled by Railway because of "Gurjar Aandolan ( in Rajesthan)."
                                      I was on Official tour for New India Assurance Co. Ltd (A Govt. of India Enterprise).
                                      Now i need the "Proof of train Cancelation" from your side, to provide the proof to my Head Office for Full Fare Compansation from my Company.

                                      Dear Sir,

                                      My name is ARVIND ADALJA, Aged, 69, residing at Jamnagar. On 9th, July, 2008, I wanted to go to Jamnagar as I was at Ahmedabad for few days for some work. I went to Station for getting Reservation Ticket for Jamnagar at about 4pm as I wanted to travel by INTER CITY for Surat to Jamnagar in 1st class. I filled in the form for the purpose and submitted to issue me ticket on reservation window for the purpose. But with my surprise I was told by the booking official that there is no provision to make any reservation in1st class in the aforesaid train
                                      .So, I asked him then what is to be done by me to get ticket? He advised me to buy from CURRENT TICKET WINDOW .I went there stayed in queue for about ½ hour and I asked the person to issue me 1st class ticket for Jamnagar under Senior Citizen concession .Surprisingly, he also expressed his inability to issue ticket for 1st class for the train referred here above. I asked him then please let me know who will issue me ticket? He advised me to buy ordinary ticket for 2 class and get it UPGRADED in the train by the Conductor.
                                      As my going to Jamnagar was pre planned and there was no time to go any other authority to understand the norms for issuing tickets for 1st class in the aforesaid train I accepted the advise and bought 2 class ticket from him under senior citizen concession.
                                      Then after the arrival of the train I met the conductor who was accompanying to the 1st class coach to make my ticket UP Graded under senior citizen which he refused stating that he is not empowered to issue such ticket and I have to pay FULL amount of Rs.410/- (four hundred ten only) if at all I want to travel by 1st class. Though, I was much shocked and taken a back with the norms of railway I left no alternative but to pay as asked for upgrading my ticket and accordingly I paid him Rs.410/- and he upgraded my ticket., a copy of which is enclosed here with for your perusal Voucher No 313052 along with the original ticket which was issued on the window is also submitted its no .is 9252 for Rs.58/-.
                                      From the for going you will observe that there is no fault of mine as whatever I asked was accordingly to the norms of railway is made known to the public. Under the circumstances may I know where the travelers have to go particularly senior citizen like me where(1) Reservation not made for 1st class, (2) current booking do not issue ticket for 1st class under sr. citizen category and height of that even(3) conductor in the running train also do not have authority to upgrade the ticket under sr. citizen. Thus, all sr. citizens like me are DEPRIVED Of THE CONCESSION and have to pay full amount of FAIR for traveling.
                                      I felt more surprise as I traveled in the same train from Surat to Jamnagar on 26 th, June by 1st class and On that day I was refused issuing ticket on current booking and asked me to go to RESERVATION COUNTER to get the ticket reserved.
                                      And it was issued to me by reservation clerk.
                                      Is not all contrary to railways norms besides UNFAIR, UNJUST and UNILITERAL and against the normal NORMS fixed for sr. citizen concession?
                                      I hope you will appreciate my concern in the matter and REFUND the AMOUNT Rs.123/- at 30% of the ticket issued to me by upgrading the same to me allowing me under sr. citizen concession and the amount may be sent at your cost by Demand draft or Money order to the aforesaid address at an early date.
                                      Awaiting anxiously your response in the matter and hope you will not compelled me to lodge complaint before Consumers grievances redresser forum at Jamnagar.

                                      Well I must tell you that the Cancellation of E-Tickets on irctc is just the formalities and no refund is being done. as an example, I booked a Ticket for dated 02nd Nov 2007. I somehow missed the train and cancelled the ticket in the nearby Internet Cafe. I am still following the mail. I have received documents from irctc stating that my request has been forwarded to India Railway for the procedure. Its 10 months since then and I am still enquiring about the refund with the officials with no result. I request you to kindly get my refund done as soon as possible.

                                      Indian Railway — NO REFUND AT DESTINATION SATATION

                                      I Sanjib Chaudhary & my wife have boarded train no. 3287 from Bilaspur Jn (BSP) to Hatidha Jn (HTZ) on 09.11.2008 with a confirm ticket 2nd AC ticket. But after boarding, it was told by TT that we have been adjusted in 3rd AC coach due to unavailability of bearth in 2nd AC. Accordingly we got adjusted in 3rd AC and TT has made a certificate for refund of difference amount of 2nd AC w.r.t 3rd AC and asked to collect refund amount from HTZ Jn.

                                      Accordingly after reaching HTZ Jn. at 05:00 AM, I approached ticket counter to collect my refund money but as per then it can only be collected after opening of reservation counter after 08:00AM. So I went home which is 35 KM away from HTZ Jn. Again I came back at 09:00 AM to collect my refund amount and produced my ticket & certificated issued by TT, but at reservation counter they refused to refund the same and told that we don’t known about this. Then I approached Station Master, he also told the same thing. After this harassment I came back from HTZ Jn. without getting my refund amount.

                                      This is really painful and shocking for me that in the same organization there is such a wide gap o[censored]nderstanding and lack of knowledge of rules. I am working as an executive in Indian Oil Corporation Ltd., which is multi locational and this type of gap is never seen in our company.

                                      between 23.15pm to 23.50 ... most of people working in banglore prefers only available train bangalore mail in which its very difficult to get reservation...ppl hang out side the unreserve compartment ...which oneday will lead to a very big tragedy or accident...so kindly take my sencire request and make a note to higher offical regarding this complaint
                                      I am writing this mail about the refund of the money that I paid to buy tickets from Delhi to Rourkela and also the return journey.
                                      I booked two tickets for train no-8478/Utkal express/3AC PNR Number:[protected] for the date 07th July 2008 paying an amount of 2296+30(an additional amount for booking tickets).And I booked two return tickets for train no-8477/Utkal express/3AC PNR Number:[protected] for the 10th July 2008 paying an amount of 2296+30(an additional amount for booking tickets).
                                      The train however got cancelled but I didn't receive my money back till now. I filled the TDR (Ticket Deposit Receipt) form number: 923129 on 7th July 2008(same day) at 13:00 hrs .After coming to Bangalore I have sent the TDR form again to the address given below.

                                      It is waste of time and money both to go to the railway enquiry again and again in Bangalore & Delhi. I already wasted a lot of time & money in enquiring but didn't have any response yet, as there is no one in the railways department who can tell me exactly what is happening. The most common answer which I get from railways is that "it’s under processing”. I am fed up of hearing these words.
                                      What kind of processing you do let me also know that it take several months & years to transfer the refund amount?

                                      Railways — Ticket Refund - Due to Tain Cancellation

                                      Hi

                                      This is regarding ticket cancellation for the tickets issued using Smart Card.

                                      I issued 3 tickets from a Smart Card Machine on 12th April 09 at 09:46 am from Kalyan to Vasai Road (via Diva), ATVM Ticket # 9347. After reaching Kopar, we were informed that the train for Vasai was cancelled due to some work. We had a talk with the Kopar Station Master and he informed that Kalyan Station respective department was already informed of the train cancellation the earlier night and even after that they were issuing tickets. Also, there was no announcements made in Kalyan that the train was cancelled. He asked us to either use the ticket to go via Dadar or get the ticket cancelled from Kalyan.

                                      We came back to Kalyan and talked with the Kalyan Station Master Mr. S B Singh and he agreed for a full refund to be given on the ticket. He marked the same on the ticket and asked us to collect the refund from the ticket counter. At the ticket counter, we were directed to some other window everytime we went to some window for refund. Ultimately, they refused to provide a refund as the tickets were issued using a smart card. I went back to the station master and he also mentioned that since the ticket was issued using a smart card, refund is not possible. I wasted more than an hour in all this.

                                      Can something be done about this? Ideally, the tickets should not be allowed to be issued even from the Smart Card Machine. Also, why did the station master signed for refund and then his signature was not respected at the counter.

                                      I am Mr. Anup kumar chowdhury, 64 years old from Burdwan, West Bengal. I went to Vellore CMC hospital to check up my left leg (plastic surgery) on 12th December, 2009. I planned to travel from Vellore to Visakapattanam on 16th December by Yaswantpur express (Train No 2864). That’s why I bought the confirmed ticket for me and my wife at two months ago on the said date by Yaswantpur express. The train should had left the vellore station on 16th December at 11:45 pm according to my confirmed ticket. But Railway management changed the timetable between that period and I was not informed regarding the new timetable. So I was totally unaware about the new timetable. As per my ticket I reached the vellore station according to the train scheduled which was printed onto my ticket.

                                      Now I want to share my horrible and sad experience with the prestigious railway organization. As per my confirmed ticket I go into my reservation coach (S6) on the scheduled date and time. My PNR no was[protected]. The TTE started badly behave since we (me and my wife) go into the coach. The TTE told us that we have to give the fine amount of Rs. 1600/- ASAP. Then we showed up the TTE our confirmed ticket again and again. But the TTE did not listen to us a single word. Even the TTE rudely told us that you have to give me the fine amount otherwise I will push both of you from the running train. We told the TTE that I do not want to give you the fine amount as I have my confirmed ticket and also Railway did not inform me about the new timetable which is12: 30 AM instead of 11:45 PM.

                                      As I earlier said you that I was returning from the Vellore CMC hospital after checking up my left leg (plastic surgery) with my wife. Unnecessarily we had to face the remarkable trouble while traveling by the train. Finally we had to pay the unjustified fine amount of Rs. 800/- to the TTE.

                                      Now the saddest thing is that the TTE did not arrange us a single seat while traveling. We had to spend the long journey of 15 hours in front of the toilet door without sleeping and seat. Now sir, what will be your comment after knowing my bad experience with the railway organization? Probably I don’t know how many passengers have been suffering like us on daily basis.

                                      Now the conclusion is that you can not return me anything apart from the fine amount and reservation charges. That’s why I want to claim of Rs. 800/- plus the reservation charges with interest from the prestigious railway organization ASAP. Please reimburse my claim.


                                      Hopefully we will get justice from our prestigious Railway organization. Expecting my claim ASAP. If you want to know any other information apart from this please let me know through the email.

                                      Before boarding from Howrah station I enquired at Enquiry Counter twice whether the train would travel through Patratu Station since it was learnt sometimes the said train was plying bypassing Patratu. But each time they confirmed it would follow its normal route through Patratu station.

                                      At Dhanbad Station it was learnt the train would not go to Patratu and I had to drop at Dhanbad.
                                      Now my questions are :

                                      1. Why it was not announced at originating station the route of its plying ?
                                      2. Why the TTE on duty did not make me alert to drop at Dhanbad?
                                      3. Why Dhanbad booking counter / Station Manager refused me to refund Rly Fare from Dhanbad to Patratu?

                                      I think you will understand the difficulties of a Sr. Citizen Female Passenger traveling alone and faced the above cited problems.

                                      However, I again claim to refund the Railway Fare from Dhanbad to Patratu at the earliest.

But, the Reservation Clerk issued the ticket No.15606005, bearing PNR No.[protected] mentioning the Date of Travel 19.11.2010 (photocopy enclosed). The particulars of the ticket could not be verified at the spot due to poor carbon printing and were then verified after reaching the home with the help of glass due to age factor.

                                      On 21 October, 2010 at 11.30 AM, I again approached the same window at Anand Vihar Railway Station which was manned by one Mr.Tarun Behl. The mistake in question was brought to the notice of Mr.Tarun Behl who in turn verified the above mentioned facts from the requisition form and shown the same to the undersigned where the date of travel was clearly mentioned as 14.11.2010. But, Mr.Tarun Behl was helpless to do any thing in this matter since neither Chief Reservation Officer nor Mr.Surinder Singh were available.

                                      It is understood that had Chief Reservation Officer been available at the time of reserving the ticket on 21.10.2010, ticket for 14.11.2010 could have been issued without levying cancellation charges Rs.40/- to me.

                                      In view of the foregoing, kindly make arrangements to refund Rs.40/- + Conveyance Charges Rs.100/- and issue instructions to the concerned as deemed fit.

                                      Indian Railways — non receipt of refund amount

                                      Cancelled a ticket on line. Refund not credited to my a/c till date(06/04/2011) though they say refund sent on 14th March2011.

                                      I have booked a ticket on 11.02.2011 from kanpur central to Anand Vihar TRM
                                      date of journey was 13.02.2011. Train was late more than three hours due to this we have not travelled. The PNR No. of the ticket is [protected]. I have filed tdr on 14.02.11 but till refund not received to me. In this connection i mail several time to [protected]@irctc.co.in. They replied refund under process but till date refund not receive to me. Please lookinto the matter and refund my money at the earliest.

                                      Indian Railways — Train Cancelled but railway didn't pay back money

                                      Dear Sir,

                                      I booked a ticket for 14the July from Hyderabad to Chengannur in Shabari Express on July 13the 2011in online. During thee Telangana Bandh, train got cancelled from Hyderabad and its journey started from Guntur. When I contacted customer care on 14the morning theey informed me theat no need to file TDR and train got cancelled, so railway will refund thee money. Even theat also i filed TDR. But yesterday i got a mail from IRCTC says theat you are not eligible to get money. Please find thee below mail and attached TDR details
