    LG — shabby service

    i had purchased a LG front-loading washing machine model no.wd-8001c1, serial no.0005tw-003510 on[protected] in mumbai from an authorised dealer. it was in perfect working condition. meanwhile we shifted to bhatkal- karnataka in 2003. the machine was working fine till 2006. then all of sudden, it was not working. after innumerable calls to service centre in udupi, a service personnel came and informed us that drum groove has been damaged which has to be repaired. we agreed to get it repaired at our own cost. after this, there was no news from the guy, who just vanished. our calls were not recieved or just neglected. this followed for around 18 months when ultimately we had to give a complaint in the customer care centre, who promised of action within 24 hours(complaint no-s8-c[protected] the service personnel who did visit to check the machine informed us that the required spare part is not available in india and that it has to be procured from korea. we agreed to pay the cost for that too and requested him to get the spare part and have it repaired. after yet numerous calls to the service centre, they claim that we had to check before puchasing the product whether the spares are available in india or not, and that it was our mistake and they will not be able to procure the spare part from korea and adviced us to sell it off. we went to lg dealer in our town who says that the machine will fetch only rupees 800! what an offer! we beg to differ, but we were not informed of any such would-be problems if we purchased that particular machine. how are we supposed to know which machines are produced in india and which are not? we would like to know whether its the death of our machine or still something can be done to revive it?

    Dear sir,
    Inspite of lots of reminders and communication no action has been taken date. I am very much surprised that a in a big multinational company LG there is no one to look into the matter as already two months have passed till date no one from top to bottom is taking interest to solve the problem of a customar. If you are unable to replace the product then you directly say no. Then i can go for other options.This is my last reminder please take it seriouly. As i am exhausted by making many calls and sending lots of mails to concerned brach office and head office.

Within a short period a problem occured regarding screen. I had contact with nearby Service centre UNA (Himachal Pradesh). They rendered their services well in time and they taken TFT Monitor by saying that there is a major problem in it and they send it to Chandigarh for repair. After getting repair they found that again there is a problem and it should be replaced. They told that they will replace it within a week. But so for no result regarding replacement and no body responded properly and positively. This made me to rit a file against your company. Before going for it i think better to make a mail to you reegarding the problem and and the response of your people. It is my humble request to you that look into the matter and take necessary steps to hand over new piece of 19"LG TFT Monitor within a week or else i determined and decide to file a case against your company as per law.

    Dear sir, Inspite of given complaint to you no progress has been taken place regarding my problem. It is embarrassed to say no one is properly responded from chandigarh office. Chandigarh peoples says that there is no piece of 19" TFT available at any of their store and it will not be provided without giving proper reason. I have lost faith on your company as no action has been taken till date from Head Office.Hence I request you once again kindly look into the mater and make it replace LG 19" TFT immediately.
    I had bought Split AC from Dass (Kothrud) in Feb 2008
    As per the manual there are free servicing done from LG
    Till date[protected]nobody had come and serviced the AC
    I had contacted LG and Dass and they have given me the request id W8CC2301685
    One person called me up and said that the service person will be coming on 25 Dec and will do the needful
    But the person didn't turned up
    Today[protected] I called up the LG Customer service at Pune on 66030100 and asked about the pending service
    I was given one mobile number of Mr. Atul ([protected]) and was asked to contact him.
    I called him up and there was no response from his end. he is not picking up the phone

    As per the above scenario there are queries from my side
    1. Whether LG maintains any data of the services to be done?
    2. There is no central agency which can answer the call of the customer.
    3. The customer has to dial up the service person and run pillar to post for the service which LG has to give as per the commitment
    4. What about the free services which I am entitled in the first year, as the year will be completed in Feb 2009?
    5. What will be the course of action if there is problem after 1 year which may be due to lack of servicing not done during the first year?

    This kind of approach has a negative impact on the name of such a reputed organization like LG...which states that Life's Good with LG
    but mine has become worse.

    The LG brand comprises four basic elements: values, Innovation, PEOPLE, and PASSION.!!!
    " Life's Good" represents LG's determination to provide delightfully smart products that will make your life good.!!!

    IS THIS THE COMMITMENT OF lg TOWARDS CUSTOMERS?????

He promised to give all the services {including fitting} he will give in 16500, but now he is asking for the extra charges, my bill no. is 7461, This is my very bad experience,
    we all need that the service center of mobile phones cdma+gsm . there is no any service center of lg in una hp

    LG personal computer — substandard products

    Lg pc are third class product.they selling thier junk in india. i purchased a computer 18 months earlier during these this period of 18 months i got my computer repaired for 28 times .i have all complaint numbers. even on the last day of warranty my computer was with the company for repairing, and their didnot worked for more than 9 days . this is my life 2nd worst experience with lg. i only want to never trust these korean or chinese blood easily they will always betray.
    Betrayal is not limited to Chinese / Korean blood. This behavior can be traced back very origins humanbeings irrespective of their locality.

    I have made a complaint about a Lg washing machine fully automatic vide complaint no. N[protected] dt. 22/06/09 regarding non-functioning of timer.
    The authorized representative of service center informed about the change of motor and promised to come again with the motor and related parts.

    It is regretted to mention that none has reported for rectifying the complaint till date despite daily reminders on the BPO [protected]. I was feeling proud o[censored]sing the Lg products but the behavior of service centers is not up to the mark and they're forcing me to think otherwise against the Lg electronics.

    I, therefore, request let the matter replaced before the CMD of Lg electronics so that corrective manners be taken at the appropriate level for directions to the concerned authorized service center for taking immediate remedial action.

    During my ten years stay in USA, LG WAS my last choice. Although, LG products were cheaper, but inferior quality. After coming back to India, although several people warned me that i must not try to buy LG products as they are not only inferior, their service is even worst. I do not know when the INDIAN CCOUNTERPART -CEO INDIA WILL WAKE UP.     I had purchased LG micro-oven cooking machine one year ago. After six months of its working its heating system has become non working. It was got repaired in Bhilai LG servicing centre in fifteen days.
    Now it's Start switch membrane has become in operative. I gave my micro-oven to the LG servicing centre of bhilai (Chattisgarh) atleast seven days ago.They have told that the membrane is not available in Bhilai so we are expecting it from RAIPUR which is hardly 30 KM from bhilai.My request ID is W9S 71403733.the LG servicing cetre is not sure that when they will be able to deliver my microoven after got it repaired.may be after one week or may be another one week after it.

    i totally agree wid mr.yogendra singh i bot a lg projection tv for rs.85000 some part got defective in january and lg people say they cannot repair the part as its unavailable .my tv has been lying in lg workshop for the last 8 months in lucknow which has led me to drag them in consumer forum .we indians should really boycott these inferior and cheap electronics their service is soooooo pathetic

    LG Electronics — LG windows ac complaint for last 26 days

    I have own a windows ac of your esteemed brand for last 3.5 years. The AC was working fine, (time to time some problems occur) but for about last 25 days the ac has created lots of problem . I have made around six complaints ( one complaint and other are recomplaint) started from 18/07/09. And last complaint I have made today (13/08/09) .But as one problem solved, other problem occured. I do not know that how the service engineers work in LG Service. They repair the AC, make sure that now AC will work fine and again after one day or two some new problem or old problem arise.Are engineers in LG Service not capable to repair the AC properly? If yes then LG needs to say something or to do something against these engineers because these activities leaves a bad impression on LG name.
    The details about the complaints made by me are given below:

    So the last complaint i have made to the customer care (it's again a recomplaint) is on 13/08/09 and the no of total days in problem are 26. days.So you understand the behaviour of your service staff and also understand the problem that I am facing for last 25 days.It also required to come into your noticethat the summer season is going on and it is not easy to leave without AC for even one day. But the service staff does not respond properly about the time and date of AC repair and keep AC with them ( in service center) for 5/6 days.
    So it is my request to resolve my problem within two days so that I can use my AC as soon as possible.

    I fully agree with the various views expressed in this forum. LG is maintaining agolden silence and unfortunately there appears to be no follow up from your side. The whole thing appears to be an exesise in futility. These foreign companies are here to make money at the cost of innocent consumers and the Govt and other controlling authorities are watching helplessly. Afterall these are the days of globalisation and the sufferers are the helpless cosumers. Why run a site where you do nothing to help the consumers.

    I ha purchased one LG Monitor with my computer but found defect with in the warranty period, we called our local service centre, But it is funny that as per your record the defected monitor is with your office but still it is with me since 15 days, means your service personality regularly coming out from your service centre with job card but they ware going here and there for their personal job.

    LG Electronics — PF amount not setteled

    Dear Sir
    MY complaint no CEPFO/E/2009/09260 is till unanswered.

    My PF for Rs 18990 from ITC ltd to LG electronics has still not been transferred from my PF no DL/19501/8847.

    The dept has only transferred the LG amt to my new Vodafone PF account without the old amt transferred from ITC ltd.

    This issue is pending since 6 years now.

    I am (daughter of Mr HK Suri) writing this email with lot of frustration after recieving a poor customer experience from your service centers.
    I called your call center on ph#39010909 and [protected] on 23rd Sep and logged a complaint regarding my television not working properly. The representative who answered the phone promoised that I will be recieving a call within 2 hours from the engineer and he will be visiting my place in 24 hours. I waited however nobody called and visited and placed. I called called back on 24th Sep around 2 pm and spoke to a different representative to express my dissatisfaction. The rep promised me the same thing and I waited for another 24 hours however no phone call and no visit from your engineer. I called back today (25 Sep) to follow up on my complaint and I still get to hear the same story. Today i requested to speak to a manager and the rep disconnected on me and called back again and Spoke to Dominic (Supervisor) but he was no no help as well. Your representatives gave me a runaround giving me different phone numbers to reach. They gave me[protected] to speak to the service center directly where nobody answers the phone. And your other rep gave me the number for Mr. Sunil Raina ([protected]), who said that I have to speak to Customer Services and he cant help me as well.

    Its been an extremely dissapointing experience with you guys. Your product has given us less pain than your representatives and their fake promises. I can go out in the market and get my TV repaired however its the brand name with whom I wanted to stick with.
    I feel its the responsibility of LG to take care of its customers even after the product is sold to them.
    I have spent lot of money on phone calls and lot of my energy talking to your people who dont even understand the customer's situation and read the same script given to all of them. I would like LG to fix my TV and reimburse me for all the pain I have gone through.

    I have brought LG 29" colour T.V on 28th Sep 2009, with in a warrnty period it has give trouble and now after 1 year and 2 months again same issue. Service guys says all the electrical componets got burnt. I have never come corss the product like this.

    L G 22" LCD TV — AGREED FOR REPLACEMENT

    Dear Sir, We have purchase LG 22" LCD TV from Sony Mony Vileparel Mumbai, vide invoice no.600732 dt 20/06/2010. After constant complaint to inspect the TV, engineers from LG visited three times and agreed for replace of the the TV. How ever no proper reponse from L G TV INDIA.
    I bought an LG refrigerator 414lt capacity and a microwave oven of 30 lt capacity from LG Shoppee on SG Road, Ahmedabad and sad to say am disatissfied with both. The microwave makes so much noise that it appears that you are standing on a helibase where a chopper is preparing to take off and the fridge a double-door where everytime you close the fridge door, the freezer door opens in sympathy with the air pressure (and then keeps sounding till you close it) indicating that the elecronic magnet is weak.

    Pl instruct your dealer/service centre to address the complaint fortwith unless you want to fill the market with second rate stuff and then booted out lock stock and barrel.

    After reading all the above views and myself experiencing the same, I fully agree that LG's customer services are the most pathetic. All the personnel, from bottom to the top level, whom I have interacted with, are least bothered about the customer. They just keep delaying the matter and very smartly try to make sure that the warranty period expires by just giving false assurances that they will look into the matter and get back to you. I am so disturbed and annoyed with their response that I feel like personally going to their office and bashing them up.
    It is becoming tiresome to deal with LG electronics to get a simple AMC rekated request registered. Frustrated.
    This is with regard to my 26" LCD TV of LG Company. It was purchased by me on 29/12/2010 means it is under warranty. Approx. 20 days back its screen was not displaying and I made a complaint to LG's Customer Care. After 2 days a person from LG service centre came and took it for repair at service centre. After 4 days they returned it to me and ensured that now it is ok and told there was a minor problem rest assured.

    From 05.09.2011 (Monday) the same problem commenced again including other problems i.e. dark screen, mute voice, switching on problem and whole screen displaying as red, blue and 1/4 screen red and 1/4 screen blue and rest is dark.Consequently, I made a call to customer care and explained the problem and they put me on hold and did not reply. My continuous efforts from last 2 days are failing to resolve my query, they kept taking my detail again & again but to no further action.

    Now I request you to please look into the matter and instruct the company to replace it only on immediate basis and no more repairing required for this product. Because after its warranty period I cannot bear so many expenses only on its repairing, as I am a lower service class staff.

DELEVERY ADDRESS :- PLOT NO 47, SMRITI BHAWAN, AMRAPALI VIHAR, RAIBAREILLY ROAD, TELIBAGH, LUCKNOW UP.

    LG Windows AC — AC is not repaired on time

    I have launched the complined against my LG Windows AC (RNA[protected] which is under AMC on 22nd June 2012.
    After that no action taken by the companey we called then up contonuously then on 26th they picked the AC from home and said that GAS is leaked.
    After 3 days I personnaly went to service center and they comitted that they will send it by 30th June 2012.
    My family is suffering now they did not send my AC till now.
    I am not in India and I am calling on the numbers given and waisting my huge money on phones but those ediots are even not picking up tha dam phone.
    This seriously a harrasement for me and my family.
    If you you can help to get my AC bach from those peoples I will be very thankfuly to you.
    I also wanted to take some legal action against this comapney when I will be in India.

      The Ref was purchased by me in Oct 06 from Allahabad. Presently I am posted at Gandhinagar. I had lodged a complaint 40 days back for Ice formation in Deep Freezer. The Engineer from LG visited in the 2nd week of Sep 08 & he told us that Rubber Gasket of the Deep Freezer is the problem & it will be changed.         Dear sir,

        I have a lg microwave oven. Its grill has stopped working. I gave a complaint at the lg call center on the 06 oct 08. The service engineer came and diagnosed that the heating element of the grill needs to be changed. He promised to return the next day for replacement of the heating element. Till date he has not turned up. Repeated reminders to him on telephone and to the complaint call center have not yilded any results. Its a sad state of affairs. For a weel rputed company like lg and after sale support in such a disarray it is really disappointing.

          i m abhijit singh and on 05/08/08 i bought an lg handset model no.3600 on the name of Poonam Singh my aunt but within a month the set getting a problem of frequent switch off even if the battery is full.it happened so many times a day.i went to retailer and asked him to replace the set but he denied and sent the set to service centre and assured me that this will not happen again but alas it happened again within ten days.i again told him to replace the set as it is under warranty period but he told me to get a replacement note from service centre.i went to service centre which is 15 km away from my house.they told me that they can't replace or give any replacement note only they will repair my set.but after second time set flushing also the same problem persist in my new handset.they had told me that if this time the same will happen we will change the pcb and yesterday for the third time i gave my handset to service centre and now they are telling that we don't have pcb in stock, come on monday if there will be any problem with battery we will replace that. LG i.e; life's good but it had become life's bad for me.i just want my handset get replaced.i m not happy with the service and could not afford to go to service centre every month. pliz help me.get me out of this problem.i was about to buy LG-dynamite but now i have to think again because in just two months i visited three times the service centre and when the warranty period will lapse they will niether replace my set nor repair it.what should i do? pliz help me, i have become fed up with these happenings and also suffering loss in my business.pliz, pliz, pliz help me and do something for me.

            Product Code LPK3685QC –LG Air conditioner bought on 17.08.08 delivered on 24.08.08. Installation in the 1st Week of Sep’08. When we tried using the AC for the first time after installation on 8th Oct’08 the AC was not cooling. We immediately placed a complaint with the LG service centre. Complaint No W8CA1000357 dated 9th Oct’08.
            Two different engineers visited us on 11th Oct’08. They were both clueless about the problem with the AC.
            On 12th Oct’08 again a group of engineers checked the AC & failed to diagnose the problem.
            In the meantime we placed another complaint thru the LG website. Complaint no[protected]. We received an email from Mr. Ravinder Chaudhry of LG India giving us the contact details of the branch service Manager Mr. Harish Suri. We tried contact Mr. Suri nth no of times but he didn’t respond.
            As the service centre had not escalated the matter to the higher level we placed the complaint again on 14th Oct’08 Complaint No W8CA1404736. The engineers once again visited us and were not able to understand the problem.
            The point is LG has high end products but not enough qualified engineers to solve the problem. The Service centre has very careless behaviors. We have taken two working days off to resolve the issue.
            We have stated to LG that they have sold a defective piece & it must be replaced. If their engineers are unable to solve the problem for the defective product which LG has sold, why as a consumer I should be penalized?
            LG refuse to respond on this matter.

            Lg INDIA AIR CONDITIONER FLOOR LP-K3685QC — DEFECTIVE BRAND NEW AC SOLD BY Lg

              This is regarding to the purchase of LG Microwave which was ordered on 12th of october 2008 and the payment was made in full.The delivery of the product was to be on the next day i.e on 13th oct 2008. Though it did not arrive on that day, I had repeatedly called up the person in charge, to enquire about the status.The only answer provided was it would delivered soon. Finally after making calls of more than Rs 200 the product arrived on 16th evening that too with a wrong shipment of the Statrup kit. Again I had to make a call and the answer provided by the staff was, it was diwali rush hence i should come and collect the kit. any how after much begging and request finally the kit was delivered on 17th night 9:30pm. In the whole process i observe that there is no value of customers time and money. Such type of service provided by a reputed shooping outlet like Home town is really annoying and very sad to say that from next time onwards i myself and also will warn my friends to better check from other outlets and get a prompt service.


              I will take up this issue seperatly with LG Electonics.

                I bought an LG DVD player model no. DV 325 from vasai, Thane, Maharashtra. I was informed by the dealer KRISHNA ELECTRIONICS that LG customer service is very good.
                My DVD player stopped working after 3 days. I registered a complaint on 4th of October and till date the DVD player has not been repaired. If i get connected to the customer service call center the ladies speaking over there very politely regret that I have been put at inconvenience and assure that the technician will come shortly, but that never happens.
                Earlier I had purchased a washing machine from LG. We use it for washing bedsheets because it just is not good enough for washing clothes.
                I advise all the readers to avoid buying products form LG.
                As for my case I am planning to go to consumer court and file a case against LG India.

                I bought a LG washing machine 1.5 years back. It still holds the warranty. It is front open and the door- lock got brocken. I complained 4 months back, One technician came after a week and had a look and he ordered for the lock, still its not fixed. Now its almost 4 months. What kind of rediculous service is this? What they are expecting from us? going to the court? I recomment not to buy any LG products ever, since they have very poor sevice in India.
                I bought all new LG appliances, tv, dvd. First the dishwasher died after one year, had to spend a couple of hundred to replace a part & labor, apparently a common problem according to repairman. Then TV died, again had to replace part after warranty, they did not charge me as this is a common problem as well. Next my bleach dispenser in the washer fills with water after each load. I have to keep emptying it in the sink. Now, the dvd player died after 2 years. I did a lot of research prior to upgrading all of my equipment, but I too am very disappointed with LG and would definitely NOT recommend them.

                  I got brand new handset of LG (model -RD6230)
                  after six months, product started giving me trouble like:-
                  1) bateery getting low after two, three hours o[censored]se
                  2) Not able to get range in areas like pune, mumbai.
                  3) NOt getting battery charged, after keeping for charging for 12 hours .

                  After such problems i reached to service center and got replaced my motherboard of mobile repalced in warranty .
                  Now after six months it again started giving me problem.And the worst customer care started abusing me...
                  Here Are some details of my mobile ...

                      I purchased one washing machine model no. 7519RW, Unit Sr. no. 003716 on 29/09/2008 from JD Electronics, Abids, Hyderabad, AP .On 04/10/2008 one person from the concrned shop came for instalation . But despite his best effort he was unable to operate it due to faulty water input portal .I brought this to the notice of the dealer but he is giving assurance only but not doing needful. As this is a manufacturing problem, I want areplacement of this product failing which I will be compelled to opt for legal root for redressal of my problem

                        I purchased LG Split Ac (1.5 T) on[protected] from LG authorised dealer 'Radhika Enterprises' FCI Cross Roads, NTPC-Jyothinagar (PO), Ramagundam Mandal, AP. PIN;505215 (Ph;[protected]. proprietor - D.thirupati. When the pack is opened at home for installation, it was found that Remote & Manual with guarantee card was not there inside. With the assurance of the dealer, I allowed the mechanic to install the AC. But my repeated requests with the dealer failed to get them. I gave complaint at LG website also but to no use.
                        The dealer is simply throwing the blame on company and replying reluctantly as if he don't have any responsibility.
                        also from day one abnormal sounds coming from the AC distribution chamber (inside house) causing lot of disturbance. This problem is also not rectified by the mechanic. I gave complaint on LG site also.

                          Hi,

                          We have been experiencing WORST LG service for our LG Microwave Oven (Model # 7645 BS : Still
                          under Warranty) for last 5 months.

                          In last 5 months, we have made 5-6 complaints of non-proper functioning of M/W. 3 times Technician
                          came to our house to check it with no output.

                          First time it got repaired in 3rd week of Sep 2008 in LG Service Center (Took LG 4 weeks for
                          repairing) at KH Road, Bangalore. Technician, Parmesh (Mob: [protected]), claimed that he had
                          checked the M/W thoroughly, M/W was working fine and life-long there won't be any further problem.
                          LG didn't send M/W back to us, we went to LG Service Center and picked up M/W. We asked Parmesh
                          to test it before us in service center, but he refused saying that it's fine.
                          When we checked M/W after receiving, we got even electric sparking in the M/W and house power
                          went-off, thanks to LG !!!

                          Again it went to LG Service Center in End of Sep 2008 at KH Road, Bangalore. This time we informed
                          LG Branch Manager, Rajesh (Mob: [protected]), also about the problem. It took 2 weeks for repairing.
                          Technician, Parmesh (Mob: [protected]), again claimed that he had checked the M/W thoroughly and
                          tested it for 3-4 days, M/W was working fine and life-long there won't be any further problem.
                          This time after receiving M/W, when we checked it before LG Delivery person: Sudhakar (Mob:
                          [protected]), we got the same electric sparking in the M/W and house power went-off.

                          At this point, we sent our M/W back to LG along with Delivery person. Called Rajesh & Parmesh and
                          asked them to keep M/W with them and warned to go to Consumer Forum against LG.
                          Rajesh called us back saying that there is some problem in the way we have been using M/W. Even he
                          told that power voltage is the problem in our house.
                          He said that he would send new M/W piece with Parmesh and check how we are using it.

                          As one year Warranty will get over on 11th Nov 2008, LG is just delaying the process of repairing or
                          providing us new M/W. Two days are over but still there is no information from LG regarding it. When
                          we called them, they said they will come and check the power voltage in our house. Even they are not
                          coming for that also. It's sheer waste of time and clear that LG is just interested in passing off the
                          Warranty period.

                          We have been going through the mental, physical and financial dis-satisfaction and losses for last 5
                          months because of the LG WORST service. Even informing LG Customer Services Dept Head Office at
                          Noida and calling LG Branch Manager at Bangalore, did not improve the situation and no satisfactory
                          action was taken from LG.

                          Hence Finally we are left with no choice BUT to make a Consumer Complaint in this forum thinking
                          that some serious actions would be taken by Consumer Forum against LG about this.

                          We hope that Consumer Forum will take appropriate action taking Consumer Satisfaction into mind.

                          Expecting positive and faster response from Consumer Forum.

                          Lg Microwave — LG microwave, incomplete delivery

                          I had purchased a LG microwave from hometown on May23, 2009. They promised to deliver the microwave with the startup kit (which contained 5m/w safe utensils like idli stand, steamer etc).They also promised to do delivery the next day (Sunday). Since, me and my husband are both working throughout the week, it sounded like a good idea to buy it - bcoz 1) They gave the startup kit . 2) They were ready to deliver on Sunday. 3) Installation and demo on Monday late evening.

                          On Sunday, I did not get any call for delivery until 2:00PM. Then I myself searched for their number and called them up. After much follow-up, the delivery came at 5:00PM. But then I realized that startup kit was missing. I called them up again. The person at other end, asked me to come from Warje to ishanya Mall (which is 1hr drive by car) to pickup the startup kit. I was shocked to hear that, there was a mistake at their end they were asking me to come and pickup the startup kit. I asked to connect to their supervisor. The supervisor promised us that they will deliver the kit the other day and they will call us again tomorrow.
                          All this costed me 5-6calls already.

                          On Monday also, I did not receive any call until 1:00PM. Again, I called them up and asked for an update. But I could not reach Mr. Deepak & Sameer, with whom I had been contacting all this time. The girl at the other end told me that those people come after 12:00. Nevertheless, I told her my whole story and also informed that I did not get any call for installation & demo.
                          By now, I decided that I will go to Ishanya mall and return he microwave and get my money back. DASS electronics was a better choice I guess. I had purchased my TV, fridge, DVD player from DASS and received delivery on the same night. Also got installation call other day and a customer feedback call in a month.

                          Anyways, after 2 hours, I got a call from hometown and the person asked me to come down to Deccan (half way to Ishanya mall) to pickup the product. The reason he stated is that he has to consider the "comfort" of the delivery guys too. He asked to to "Please try to understand".
                          Isn't it surprising that such a big group, Hometown I looking for comfort of "delivery boys" and not of "customers".

                          I have already given 10 calls, wasted my time, my money and my energy!

                          Till now (2:30PM), those guys haven't finalized how they are going to do the delivery! I have kept the option open for them, they can take the product back.

                          I will update on what happened next.

                          But, for now, I would advise all intelligent people to" Be wise" avoid any purchases from HomeTown.

REP. NOT HEARED TO ME. AFTER NOS. OF CALLS FROM MY SIDE ULTIMATELY THEY APPROACHED MY AFTER 8 DAYS FROM MY LODGING OF COMPLAINTS AND ALMOST ONE MONTHS FROM MY ORIGINAL PARTS REPLACEMENT DATE. THEY AGAIN CHARGED RS.626 BY SAYING THAT SOME PART IS AGAIN TO BE REPLACED AND THE COST OF THE PART WAS RS.76 AND RS 400 IS CHARGED AS "gn charging" AND RS.150 AS "TRANSPORTAION CHARGES". AND THE FRIDGE WAS TAKEN TO WORKSHOP AND RETURNED ON 04-05-09 AFTER SUCH REPAIR MY PROBLEM WAS NOT SOLVED AS THE ICE FORMATION IS LITTLE BIT LESS IN QTY. IN THE FRIDGE BOX AND IT IS ALSO STARTED FORMATION IN THE LOWER SID OF FRIDGE (IN INSIDE BACK WALL OF FRIDGE) AGAIN I STARTED TRYING TO TELL MY PROBLEM TO CUSTORMER CARE BHOPAL AND EVEN MR. NEKESH GARG YOUR AREA SALES INCHARGE ( MOB NO. [protected]) IS APPROACHED AND EVEN THE NO PROPER RESPONSE IS FOUND AND EVEN AFTER SPENDING OF RS. (ABOUT) 1000 MY PROBLEM IS AS IT IS TILL THE DATE I.E.15-05-09. I THINK IT IS THE POOREST SERVICE OF LG PRODUCTS IN INDIA AND FEEL MYSELF THAT I SHOULD NEITHER PURCHASE YOUR PRODCUTS IN NEAR FUTURE AND NOR ADVICE TO PURCHASE TH SAME TO MY NEARS AND DEARS. I AM NOW ALSO PREPARED MY SELF FOR MOVING TO COSUMER COURT FOR THE MENTALLY AND FINACIAL LOSS SUFFERED BY ME DUE TO YOUR PRODUCT.

                                Myself Ex-defence ( Navy) Senior Citizen, has purchased LG Microwave MC-808WAR from INCS-Mumbai same booked on 18/07/2008 and was supposed to be delivered within one week but was delivered on 02/08/2008 that too on my repeated inquiries the reason for delay was delivered to wrong party/address. For record I had made full payment & given completed address with contact details at the time of booking i.e. 18/07/2008.
                                On receipt I contacted LG customer care and asked for some practical demo/ operating instructions.for information the packing of the product was opened by the demo instructor. During demo it was noticed that the door was miss aligned / vibrating when put into mode . For this the instructor asked me to complain the same to LG customer care . I did the same and after 2 days one technician visited who initially tried to convince me that this misalignment and vibrations is normal but when I asked him to come and visit with me to some mall or electronic shop where I can show him what is the problem, upon this he tried to repair the product but could not do anything much and left. I again made complaint to LG customer care and again another technician visited who suggested that since its a new product and you have not used it please get it replaced. So I contacted LG plus my dealer but till now no response
                                I am too old to run behind all these people, this is total negligence from staff
                                1stly delay in delivery and
                                2ndly wrong-defective product delivery

                                I have still not used the product and awaiting INCS a/LG response with corrective action.
                                I am an Ex- Defence ( Navy) retired senior citizen, who had purchased LG Microwave model MC-808WAR from INCS - Mumbai. The same was later complaint to LG customer care centre & Mechanic / Technician made a visit tried to repair it but all vain again I complained to LG customer care centre and again some other Technician visited saw the problem could not help and asked to get the appliance replaced.
                                Now I have already contacted my INCS who said they will get it replaced but till now no answer. For information I have still not used the Microwave it was only operated by LG demo/technians only.
                                I am really tired as I am very old cannot run behind all these people.

                                  LG service is so bad and time consuming that i have a huge issue on this.

                                  I had a door replacement to be done for my newly bought Microwave oven as it was not closing properly and had burnt to a larget extent. It was under warrenty.

                                  Had called their Customer complaint dept and logged my complaint. Their engg visited our place after7 days and tolad us that he will replace the door in a weeks time. it has been 1.5 Months, there is no responce on the same.

                                  Again i called up and gave the Complaint no, to which they replied that the door was not in their godown and will take few months to replace...

                                  I dont have any logic answer to this reply????

                                  Have donr the biggest mistake by taking an LG product.

                                    Sir,

                                    I bought a LG room Air Conditioner a year before. With in a year the Air Conditioner(AC) has been serviced thrice as it’s comes under the regular warranty services and after doing all these regular services by the LG customer service people the performance of the Air Conditioner has went down and the cooling effect has completely gone and unable to function properly.

                                    There is a leak in the unit no cooling gas in the AC and it has to be refilled, however the compressor unit has been given 5 years guarantee it seems.

                                    With in a year the LG AC is unable to function properly and needs to refill the gas for Rs1500 + tax and that is also can be guaranteed only for 3 months and if this continues the gas has to be filled every 3 months and after investing 24000 on the LG AC am left out with no option and need to spend again for the AC unit and after that have no idea how long it works.

                                    I am very much disappointed with the LG AC quality and the service, now am forced to do the annual maintenance. This is a bitter experience with LG AC for me and I strongly will never recommend LG AC to my relatives and friends as it is very poor in the performance and maintenance high.

                                    I am facing a similar situation.
                                    I bought LG AC 5 years back and right from first year the gas needs refilling each year.
                                    I think LG guys are intentionally using this strategy as a business model. Step (1) Sell leaky ACs. Step (2) Dont fix the problem, just refill the gas each year and keep earning.

                                    I will not advice anyone to go for an LG product.
                                    This Lg company is just spending money on ADVERTISEMENT, not fixing problems of consumers, you once buy, then they are lost.

                                    I am facing compressor problem in my LG split ac, 1.5 tonn. I have called many time to the personnel of LG, but they are not been able to fix problem, can you believe they have changed compressor in one year, and that too is not working...

                                    And what is more suprising they ask money for changing the compressor(which seems to be defective again)...

                                    i would strongly recommend, PLEASE DO NOT BUY THIS COMPANY AIR CONDITION AT ALL. THESE GUYS DONT HAVE CARE AFTER SALE.MEANING IF YOU HAVE ANY PROBLEM, SLEEP WITH YOUR PROBLEM.
                                    I purchased LG air conditioner last year and was installed in August 2008. Since then due to various small issues was had to checked for small issues. No problem till this point.

                                    However after completing barely one year of service - LG people tell me that gas has leaked. And is not covered under warranty. How can just 1 year in service result in leakage of gas? This is clearly a faulty piece and they say it is not covered.

                                    I also checked with my colleagues and it turns out one of them also faced a similar issues with LG Air Conditioner.

                                    I recommend that no one buys LG AC. They just advertise too much - and the product is not upto the mark.

                                      Hi,
                                      I had registered a complaint with LG Customer Service as my LG Microwave(MG-396WA/MG-397WB) was not working. The problem was that the microwave was not getting switched on. After repeated requests to the Customer service representative who was assigned the complaint, the representative came over and said the problem was because of some loose connection. A couple of weeks later the same problem reoccurred, I raised a complaint & this time he inspected and told me that the problem was that the magnetron was weak and required replacement. By this time, my warranty had expired. Had he correctly identified the actual problem the very first time, the magnetron replacement would’ve fallen within the warranty period. I sent a written request to the Manager of the service centre ‘Srinivasa Electronics’ (Hyderabad) through the representative to do the needful free of cost since it was the representative’s fault for not detecting the problem correctly. My request was denied and I had to pay for the magnetron. I had insisted that the new piece be brought fully sealed, but it didn’t come that way. I thought everything has been resolved after the replacement. Now my microwave is not functioning again! The grill mode is not heating the food at all, indicating the magnetron could be weak. I doubt if the magnetron was genuinely a new piece. I’m tired of raising complaints through the Customer Service centre; all they do is type out the complaint & assign it to whomsoever; they don’t want to understand what it is that I need them to do. I had asked them to assign the complaint to a reliable service centre instead of Srinivasa Electronics, but they never did.

                                      LG microwave has only a 1 year warranty - now I see why – problems shoot one after the other soon after a year. I regret buying an LG microwave & wish I had bought a Samsung microwave which my mother has been using for 7 years now without any complaints.

                                      I have had to raise a total of 6 complaint requests since June ‘08. Some of the request Ids I have with me are: S8C70600878, S8C80701907, S8C90601183, S8C92603102. What I don’t understand is why the Customer Care representative who comes home cannot do a thorough check up and detect and fix the problems correctly during his very first visit.

                                      Is there something that LG Customer Care is willing to do to address my problem which has been on for over 4 months? This is something unacceptable for a global brand like LG and I request you to take some action urgently.

                                      LG has been claiming 'LIFE's GOOD' slogan but definately, LIFE isn't good after buying their product. I had purchased an LG refrigerator in Oct 2007 and have been having several problems with it. Worst of all is that their customer helplines are infact CUSTOMER HARASSEMENT LINES. Their phones just go unanswered. This is a very sad state of the organization when everyone is talking about prompt customer service which LG also claims on their website.

                                      Another thing to be noted is that when the complaint is made after spending hours trying to contact the call centre. We are left with suggestions from the technician to switch off the refrigerator and check for it after a few hours. Is that what a fridge is meant for ... to be switched off for a few hours and do manual defrosting after paying so much for their so called hi-tech products.

                                      My product is under warranty till this Oct 2008 after which I would have to pay for their service. I do not understand why should we bear the brunt of the faulty products manufactured by LG. I would highlight this issue in the other forums also and see to it that my product is replaced with a new fridge rather than going unattended to it.

                                      I deeply regret buying an LG product...

I COMPLAINED BEFORE 20 DAYS BACK THEY CAME TOOK AWAY MY MICROWAVE FOR REPLACING SOME PART IN THAT BY SAYING MICRAWAVE WILL DERLIVERED AFTER TWO DAYS BUT STILL ITS NOT DELIVERVERD. WHEN I CALL THEM EVERY TIME THEY SAYING YOUR PRODUCT WILL DELIVERVERED TOMARROW FROM LAST 15 DAYS. BUT STILL NO ACTION IS TAKEN.
                                      You are correct. I have purchased LG microwave & its some front panel switches are not functing. For example in micrwave switch selection for selecting the powe is not responding just after 7 months of buying. My friend who had the same type of LG microoven has same problem Adter severral times of complaint panel switches were replaced costing the fortunate. Since I am using start swich which normally which adjust normally 30 sec. I am using that. I do not want to pay the cost of ching the panel switches as long as i can manage partial use of microwave oven In my opinion panel switches of LG microwave oven are faulty dfesign. They become defective soon
