################## NEVER BOOK HOTELS THRU MAKE MY TRIP ########################
I did my Hotel Booking @ Ooty through MakeMyTrip for the 9th Aug 2008 weekend and made the payment through CC. I had received an email and also the customer Rep from MakeMyTrip called up and confirmed that the booking has been done successfully and the same has been confirmed to the Hotel Authorities of Hotel Lake View, OOTY.
My trip turned into a NIGHTMARE when I reached Ooty with my family around 2:00 AM as I was told by the Lake View hotel staff that I do not have any booking in their hotel!!!. Moreover, they didn't have electricity and water since morning (came to know from the hotel staff only). I then tried calling MakeMyTrip to check the status with them but could not get anyone, no one picked up the phone!!!.
I along with my family was in a SHOCKED state as at 2.00 AM I had to look for another hotel to spend the night. I was only able to reach MakeMyTrip customer executive in the morning but I was told that today NO ONE from the hotel Lake View is there to look into the issue and assured that they will call back after sometime BUT no one turned up in regards to the same for next 2 days.
I called them back again after 2 days on 11th Aug and the call was placed on hold for 45 minutes and then it got disconnected on its own. I later tried calling them 4-5 times BUT DID NOT GET ANY RESPONSE as every time they said that there is NO concerned authorities to talk to me. I tried mailing my WORST EVER experience to the feedback email address available (share.[protected]@makemytrip.com) on the MakeMyTrip site but seems like the email sent to the feedback email address goes into the TRASH. I mailed them on the alternate email address and someone from their so called escalation team called up but I did not get any positive response from any of the higher authorities. It's been more than a week as on today (18th Aug 2008) and none of the managers of MakeMyTrip got the time to check into my complaint... So taking that into consideration I don't think we have ANYONE listening to such complaints at MakeMyTrip or to speak to a DISSATISFIED customer like me.
BOOKING THRU MAKEMYTRIP WAS A BIG SUFFERING FOR MY FAMILY AND YOU COULD ALSO FACE THE SAME EXPERIENCE.
SO I SAY A BIG NOOOOOOOOOOOOO TO ANY KIND OF BOOKING THRU MAKE MY TRIP...

I had booked my airticket and hotel through make my trip in Dec 08 to Goa alongwith my 12 year old daughter. My trip was planned from 25th Dec to28th Dec 08. The ariticket booking was ok but to my disgust the hotel booking done by makemytrip executive Ms.Jinal was horrible. They charges me bomb 10700 for 3 days stay but the hotel was SO HORRIBLE and unhygienic that we were forced to look up for another hotel. Ms.Jinal was constantly telling me that Goa is full and there is no hotel available to stay but after going there I found that Goa was completely empty with very few tourist around. The localites were complaining and telling us that all the hotels are vacant and there is no crowd in Goa. Why do these people give wrong information to customers? Just to scare them. Moreover on enquiring with the hotel person Mr.Jose he told us that their per day charges were only Rs.2000/- then why was I charged so high? I was in no mood to spoil the holiday mood hence on returning back to Mumabi, I called Ms.Jinal Choksi and informed her about my horrifying experience to which she asked me to send her a mail. After repeated reminders they have just sent me an apology mail which is of no use to me. . I WANT MY MONEY BACK.Make my trip sent me a costomer feeback form which I filled and sent two days back but I know they are not going to pay any attention to this feedback. TO ALL MY FRIENDS - PPPLEASE DO NOT BOOK YOUR HOLDAYS THROUGH THIS MAKE MY TRIP SERVICE. THEY ARE HORRIBLE GHOSTS WHO LURE YOU TO MAKE THINGS SIMPLE AND EASY PLS DO NOT FALL PREY TO THESE PEOPLE INSTEAD GO AHEAD AND DO DIRECT BOOKINGS.
The worst ever service by makemytrip.

I was planning to travel from india to US and had 2 connecting flights.

one from hyd - Doha - Washington-Houston. (Opted this dirty travel plan since it was emergency)

There was a change in the timings of first flight from Hyd - Doha thus resulting a no show to the connecting flights.

Asked make my trip team to provide an alternative, they came back saying there is flight after a week and I had to travel to Doha wait for 12 hrs to catch another flight to washington and then wait on for 6 hrs for a connecting flight to houston.

Make my trip team says - they were no responxible for the flight change schedule from hyd -Doha. and suggested an alternative as wait for a week and follow the new schedule.

They are and have eaten lot of money. Guyz, this is a total frustation would want this organization to be banned at any cost.

I hope the consumer court would consider.

    This is to inform you that i was wrongly levied a a sum of Rs 3839 for the services i did not avail by my card dated[protected].My Card no [protected] is Silver BOB card in the name of my father "Y M Singh".
    HDFC has levied this amount which is the gateway Bank for Make My Trip.I have spoken to Make My Trip customer service regarding this problem.If i could receive any document supporting that the HDFC has not charged me the amount Rs 3839 for this transaction.
    Please revert to this mail as soon as possible.I request you to kindly amend this transaction from your end and help me get my amount back.

      I booked a hotel for one night in Shimla from MakeMyTrip.com. An offer was going on in which the company had to refund the one night price if I find a better deal elsewhere on the same hotel. I did find it on yatra.com and sent a snapshot to company. The executives confirmed that I will get a refund soon. But it has been more than 15 days but I didn't receive any refund as of now. This scheme is still on and the company is trying to make fool out of the customers through this.

      Yes. Make My Trip Makes fool of every customer. I bet you can get better discounts and bargain on flights, hotels, bus fares on other sites. Personally it is horryfying experience for me because i have lost lots of money booking through MMT.
      My friends and other people laugh at me when they see me booking thru MMT. None the less i think all the customers should be guided properly to get the best deals and do not fall to mMT advertisements which are mostly frauds.
      Even i have not received my refund for return bus journey booking. I should get cash back of 150 rupees which i dint get till now. The offer still blinks on MMT i i personally think that nobody gets this cashback unless and until they break their head and waste phone money to follow.
      I think consumer court should take legal action against MMT and their each offer should be audited and scrutinised.
      One more think to highlight. MMT pays less tax claiming they have refunded the amount to customers which they never pay and end up fooling both government and customers. Jago grahak Jago.. MMT makes money by looting your hard earned money.

        I had made a reservation on 14th June 2008 for my friends who were to travel from Hyderabad to New Delhi on the 2nd August 2008 and a reservation were made accordingly and a confirmation was sent via an email and the required amount deducted from my credit card.

        On 23rd June, (today) at 1812 Hrs I got a call from Tel No: [protected] stating that this call was from the airlines GoAir and the flight on which the 5 passengers were booked stands cancelled for reasons best known to the airlines and they will refund the money back to makemytrip.com from where I had made the booking today itself.

        I called the office of makemytrip.com and spoke to a lady at 2031 Hrs on [protected] and enquired for my cancelled flight to which she said that she has checked/confirmed with the airlines and the flight stands cancelled.

        I asked the lady to make 5 fresh bookings in Kingfisher Airlines for which I am ready to pay the remaining balance amount from the amount earlier paid, the lady refused to book fresh tickets despite my repeated pleas to her. in turn she said that I need to pay the company the entire amount for 5 tickets from HYD to DEL (approx Rs. 31500/-). the earlier amount that I had paid will not be adjusted against the new booking.

        An email was sent by me detailing the entire of sequence of events, but no professional responce was given by the company.

        I wish India woke up to Customer satisfaction sooner rather than later. Anyways I am going ahead with filing a legal case against the company in case I don't hear from them by EOD today 24th June 08.

          I took a Holiday Package from Make my Trip for Ooty at Holiday Inn Gem Park. After paying everything beforehand my whole 2 days trip was merely a frustrating time for me and my wife.As per Make My Trip, the holiday voucher included lots of things like a chockolate cake on arrival(despite reminding the Hotel for around 12 times, it took 36 hours from time of my arrival to get a cake ), surprise Night Amenities (there was nothing as such), etc. The so called "4 star" hotel doesn't have a proper Cable TV connection and the restaurant "Toda Cafe" is terrible where they can't even manage 25 guests at a time !!!The room electric switches also do not work properly. All in all it was a terrible experience. Would request the readers not to spoil their holiday there.

          i was planning for a honeymoon trip to ooty and was even thinking of booking Holiday Inn Gem Park. But after reading your comments we changed our mind.

          Can't even imagine such a non-sense from Holiday Inn. Lessons for future.
          I totally disagree with this comment..this is an excellent hotel with great service offered by the staff...this is only holiday inn hotel in the whole of south west asia managed the intercon group with the higest service standards...i have stayed at this hotel twice and have had a great experience on both the occasions..great stay..great service...cheers!

          I have just stayed at Holiday Inn Ooty last month.
          and i must say the experience was amazing.
          Lovely rooms with breathtaking views...
          Service at the Toda Cafe was actually GREAT!!!
          I mean if we wanted a glass of water before we could even turn around to look for a waiter there already was a guy behind us with a jug of water...
          Room service was quicker the expected...
          Infact they are the only hotel i know off in Ooty that have got a heated swimming pool which they heat every saturday...
          They got this over enthusiastic entertainment guy who sort of makes sure that there is not even a moment of your stay that you would feel bored...

          i can go on and on about this place...
          Imagine i had booked 3 days and i actually extended to 5 Days...

          Dilbagh, i believe looks after sales from Mumbai & Tejas is based in the Unit itself.

            I had booked 2 Goair tickets for Rs. 5090 on makemytrip.com. I had to cancel these tickets 2 days in advance for which the website's terms informed me that they would deduct Rs. 2200 for the transaction. I went ahead with cancellation and after more than 10 days, the refund I receved was Rs. 1890. i.e. Makemytrip deducted Rs. 3200. This is cheating and robbery. Can anybody tell me where to approach?

              Hello Madam/Sir,
              I recently booked tickets to-fro to Goa from bangalore thru Makemytrip.While going, the ticket was in SpiceJet.After reaching bangalore airport, spicejet told us that only 2 adult tickets were done but the baby's ticket is not done and we have to buy ticket again.We had received the PNR numbers for all 3 tickets but Spicejet said that we have not received baby's ticket.Since there was no time, we had to buy ticket again for our 1 1/2 yr old daughter.We dont know whose mistake it is.Whether it is SpiceJet or makemytrip.Who do we go and ask for reimbursement???Any one with similar problems??

                No reference of tickets 6 days after debiting money

                After innumerable calls to makemytrip customer care (which stands always clogged with traffic), I find the site the last hope for revival of my lost / nearly-lost, money / hope of availing tickets.

                5 days back I have booked an airticket (Hyderabad to Kolkatta) from their website, and leave alone the receipt of paper tickets, I am till date eagerly awaiting the receipt of PNR / other confirmation from their end.

                undue charges

                i tried to book international tickets .the site was not at all informative. i slected no stop and went ahead and did the booking to dfind out later that no stop means it stops at one destination what a misnomer. when i checke the flight number it was not the no stop flight i wanted and i wanted to change the booking but demanded exorbitant price and when i asked to cancel arbitrarily charged 500 for not f doing anything...

                Refund of the ticket never Booked

                Dear Sir,
                I also heard from few of our clients that while booking with MAKE MY TRIP they had similar problems.
                However , the only alternative available to us is to go to consumer court and also claim for the torture for following hectic procedures with MAKE MY TRIP for refund of our money.

                This web portals are more into cheating and deceiving individuals as they are aware of the fact that no one follows so much...

                Refund/Cancellation

                Last Year, in October,2006, I bought a return ticket from Miami to Mumbai, at $1222. They were paper tickets which were supposed to be sent to my Florida address. Since the paper tickets never came to my houe(they said it was sent by USPS, and they do not take customer's sign for verification), I asked for a cancellation. MakemyTrip said that if I cancelled and bought new tickets through them, they would ensure that my refund is obtained...

                Dear Angad,

                I await your reply on this. Also I wanted to highlight the sheer inefficiency and the horrible attitude your employees carry. Below is my saga….

                1. I ask you and the one who revised my arrival plan for the revised itinerary and I am here still sending reminders to you guys
                2. I was not informed by the one who revised my arrival plan from Indian Airlines to Go Air that the flight was halting at Jaipur and that the journey would take more than 2 hours from Delhi to Mumbai. Ridiculous, all he informed me was that the fare was the same and that the flight was on the same time as the Indian Airlines flight was scheduled
                3. Only at the Delhi airport I realized that the Go Air flight (which was delayed by 2.5 hours, they too were in competition with you guys…. Ridiculous just as you are) that I had still something more in store for me… the flight was halting at Jaipur for 30 minutes… Am I crazy to pay the same amount for such horrible airlines, who delay the flight to no limits and that too with a halt at Jaipur for 30 minutes? AM I CRAZY? YES I AM… COZ I TRUSTED YOU
                4. I DEMAND AN EXPLAINATION!!!! I have the right to information
                5. And when I call up your call centre in the night asking them for an explanation and then ask for your supervisor to speak to me… I was kept on hold for 20 minutes without any information… Like a fool I kept holding your line, only for someone to hear my woes…. AND AS EXPECTED NOTHING HAPPENED.. YOU DARE TO MAKE MISTAKES… BUT YOU DON’T DARE TO FACE THEM… COWARDS…
                6. I DEMAND AN EXPLAINATION, AN APOLOGY IN WRITING AND A COMPENSATION FOR THE INCONVENEINCE CAUSED TO ME DUE TO MISTAKE AT YOUR END.

                Last but not the least, Angad, pls reply to my mail only when you have facts in hand… don’t dare to give me canned responses… BETTER SO ASK SOME SENIOR TO REPLY TO ME… AS I DON’T INTEND TO TALK TO ANYONE WHO DOESN’T UNDERSTAND MY PLIGHT… HA HA I AM STILL EXPECTING YOU INHUMANS TO UNDERSTAND MY PLIGHT..                 I booked an air ticket through make my trip - they deducted money from my account but they have not given the itinerary number/ PNR number.
                Their customer care numbers are not working.
                I think they have cheated the amount.

                Yes tis Make my trip are full of fraud! They cheated all d tourist. What they promise is not same as what u listen from them. When u call them, they keep u hold in the line for more than half an hour. The staff attitude r really very poor. When they promise said they will refund the money back in 15 day, they won't refund, they keep u blur waiting n keep on calling. 4 months also can't get refund.
                Whole process seemed to be working fine, until you want to amend or ask for refund. That is money down the drain.

                Careful - as neither them nor the airlines they deal with wants to take responsibility for any refunds.

                Granted, they are willing to amend your booking, but like in my case for an additional 3k - Don 't think that is fair.

                Just be on the lookout for these kinds of loopholes.
                Afraid cannot recommend them.
