I booked the hotel from Make My Trip through phone and the executive Paras booked my hotel for Mahabaleshwar. When I tried to confirm the booking from Hotel, they said that they are completely sold off and MMT can't give you the confirmation number. When I got back to MMT they insisted that booking holds good, but I insisted and asked them to check with the hotel, then they got back and confirmed that yes, its a wrong booking from their side.
Now, the question is...how can they book hotels when they do not know about the availability. If I or in that matter anyone reaches hotel on the said date and finds that his/her room is not booked then it will be a great shock and where will he go with the family.
I asked them to give me another booking, they asked me to wait for 24hrs. This is ridiculous.
Bad experience with these people. Will never suggest anyone to get the booking done from them of any type, because it will be a great risk for your travel plan (flight, hotel, taxis etc.)
I thus request the concerned authorities to look into and get my complete dues over and above the actual cost incurred because of the problem i faced

    Dear sir/madam,
    Reference is made to tele promotion from makemy trip on 11th Nov 09, wherein I was offered certain discount vouchers from the company on a payment of Rs. 7719.90/-. Though the delivery was to be made within 21days, I have still not recieved these vouchers. Thereafter on 31 Dec 09 I had requested the company to cancel the transaction on the grounds of non receipt and refund the amount which had been deducted for the same from my credit card. Reference is made to the telephonic conversation regarding the same with company rep Ms Neha on 31st Dec 09. A complaint on the same issue was e-mailed to the company 0n id [protected]@shiftthoughts.com. on 31st Dec 09. No positive endevour has been undertaken from the company side to refund my legitimate due which has been debited from my credit card account. Due consideration may also be given to the number of STD calls which I had to make to reach the company rep regarding the same

      I Booked a Flight ticket for the following date, from Pune to Delhi, on 5th Jan 2010, using the website for Make my trip.com
      Make my trip Booked me a Unconfirmed Ticket from Pune to Delhi, by Indigo Airline
      And a Confirmed Booking from Delhi to Ranchi, by Indian airlines.
      On calling Indigo Airlines, I found there was no reason from Indigo airlines for not confirming the Flight, They said, Make my trip needs to confirm the booking, which they never did.
      On top, none in the Make my trip Call centre was able to fix the problem, and always ended up keeping me on Hold over the phone for Hours, with no end result.
      I even got an Email saying, that the Make my trip representative is trying to get in touch with me over the phone and I am not responding. And this was a big fat lie. Why should I not respond to a call, after I have paid 13,000 Rs using my Citibank creditcard.This transaction was confirmed to me over my cell phone and email from Citibank.
      Now I am being told that Indigo flight fare will be reimbursed, but Indian Airline flight fare will be deducted.
      How can I be charged for the 2nd or connecting flight , when Make my trip never confirmed me the 1st flight ticket? How does make my trip expect me to take a flight from Delhi when I am still sitting in Pune.Make my trip is supposed to co-ordinate with both the airlines and get me a result.

        Duplicate booking

        While booking my ticket on MMT through my mobile, after giving the credit card details i got the message "sorry for the inconvenience, your payment could not be fulfilled successfully". So thereafter I went and made my booking on internet. To my surprise I have now got confirmation of both the bookings on my email. On talking to your customer care, no positive response has been recieved. The bookin ID of ticket booked thro'...

        My sister had booked a flight from Kolkatta(CCU) to San Fransisco(SFO) using Makemytrip website. This wasn't a direct flight. She had to go to New York(JFK) via Delhi in Air India(AI-101) and then take a connecting flight from JFK to SFO.

        However, her AI flight got delayed by about 14 hours and hence she reached late by 14 hours in New York. Upon enquiring about the connecting flight, she was informed by the AI people that the next flight that could be arranged was some 4 days later. Since, she couldn't wait that long, she had to make different arrangements to reach SFO.

        Now, when we are asking for a refund from Makemytrip, they're harassing us and delaying the process unnecessarily. Every time we call the call center a different executive picks up the phone and upon being explained about our plight, seeks minimum 24-48 hours of time to get back to us, which they never do.

        Am thinking of taking a legal action against them. Can anyone help?

        Thanks for a quick response.

        As I told to the customer care executive yesterday:

        Firstly what exactly should be the contents of the stamped document?
        Secondly, who will provide this document?
        Finally, why do you require a stamped document?

        Because the AI-101 flight got delayed at Delhi by 14 hours and hence instead of reaching New York at the scheduled time 4.25AM on[protected] the flight actually reached around 6.30PM. This can be confirmed by the AI people. Due to this, we couldn't catch the connecting flight US-6331.

        In spite of this, on advice of a Makemytrip Travel executive, I had called AI customer care couple of days back for providing the stamped document.

        An executive named "Archana" replied to me, categorically mentioning that the cancellation and refund can be done only by Makemytrip and all the necessary documents regarding this can be procured by Makemytrip by contacting AI through their agency centers they have with AI.

        She also mentioned that there is no need of any stamped document as the AI flight got delayed by 14 hours and not cancelled. Hence all necessary details can be taken by Makemytrip from Air India INTERNALLY.

        I am being beaten like a football since last 2 weeks. Makemytrip is putting the ball in Air India's court and AI refuses to entertain any requests as booking was done through Makemytrip.

        I and my family have already undergone much agony both mental and financial. I request you to please expedite solving this issue.

        Now kindly advice, how to proceed ahead with the cancellation of the return Journey and refund of the connecting flight from JFK to SFO.

        I would appreciate a quick action on this.

        MakeMyTrip — Difference needs to be refunded

        We booked a ticket (Ref YPTUB9) from Mumbai to London via Dubai with a 2-day stopover in Dubai even though a cheaper ticket was available for the same trip but with just a one-day stopover. We completed the online booking, but the site came up with a message saying there was a technical problem. We called Customer Support, who gave us some yarn about a technical problem with some servers (!!). After some browbeating, they re-did the booking but now with a one-day stopover, ostensibly because seats were not available on the original itinerary - though bookings were still possible online for the two-day itinerary afterwards.

        We sent them an email saying that we should be refunded the difference between the fare for the two-day stopover and the one-day stopover but received no response. On calling Customer Support we were told that the higher price was the actual price and the lower one-day price was displayed because of some "technical glitch" (!!).

        Let's see if someone from makemytrip India gets these posts and whether they actually do something about it.

        We have made umpteen requests, for the refund of my daughters, ticket refund, the make my trip people are making excuses one after the other, and not doing anything regarding this.

        It is now three months and nothing has happened, wish if someone could suggest how to expidite things.
        Inform the media regarding this fraudulent company. I had a similar experience last week. We should not leave it like this. The public should be made aware of this fraud.

          refund of cancelled ticket not received

          i booked a flight ticket on 18th May 2009, from AHMEDABAD to KOLKATA travel date 15th Nov 2009, through make my trip.com.i cancelled my ticketFLT[protected], on 6th Nov 2009.it was said from their side that refund would reflect on my account in next 7 business days but so far ten(45)days have passed and i am yet to receive my refund....

          i dont know is it company policy to use customer's money?

            This is to bring to your notice that, we had a bad experience by opting for Make my Trip as our travel agent. The problem started at the booking stage itself. We had booked for your package tour to Kerala (Hills and backwater). After we made the payment, our vouchers came in batches and that too after several calls and reminders. Calling your customer care is a pain as we need to repeat the same things to different persons. The person booking did not take any responsibility or follow up. The problem doesn’t end here it just gets better.
            When we arrive at Cochin station, there is no pickup for us. When we contacted the customer care, we got the response - “Our Hotel booking reps only come by 9 AM, so we can’t help”. The land line no. given of the taxi vendor was of no use, as no one picked up the phone. After several calls we managed to speak to one Mr. Ravinder Kumar who claimed to be a supervisor. All this while I and my wife were waiting outside Ernakulum (Cochin) station waiting for our transport to the hotel. Finally one cab came and we thought we were on our way, but no such luck. The driver said the car has a flat tire and needs to be changed. We finally started at 11 AM instead of 7 AM from Cochin to Munnar. As a result we lost valuable holiday time.
            On reaching Igloo Nature Resort another disappointment awaited us. While booking for the trip Ms. Rajneet Sohal had insisted upon taking the Igloo resort claiming it to be far superior to the Misty mountain property. I had seen both the websites and was very much interested in Misty Mountain. She claimed that Igloo had a better location and view; also the rooms were better in Igloo. I took her word for it and ended up with further disappointment. The hotel is good 10 km before Munnar. It is not even on the route to Munnar and is actually a big de-tour. The resort is in a secluded village way below the Munnar hills. It has no tea plantations around it. While misty mountain has a much better location and a definite better choice. I felt cheated by Make my trip. I have a strong suspicion that Igloo resort is giving a bigger incentive or discount to ‘Make my trip’ to book people at this place. This resort claims a rack rate of 4000 rupees, which is a joke considering its location and lousy food.
            I am also surprised that no representative, manager, Ranjeet or Ravinder bothered to check back with us, about our trip. I myself am from hospitality industry and my wife is veteran of customer care, we understand that problems happen and complaints are a part of our work, but utter lack of commitment and apathy is uncalled for. Probably, I wouldn’t have had to write this mail if anyone would have checked back on my trip. Well I for one would not be booking with ‘make my trip’ again and would advice others to follow suit.
            Also must mention Ms. Manjeet was the only person in your customer care who was a little helpful when we wanted to change the travel plan for the last day. It was too little and too late.

              Dear sir,
              I have transfered 9720.00 through internet banking on dated[protected] from my pnb bank a/c no. [protected] to
              But by mistake linked failed when i did the payment, money was teken from my account,but not got the tickets.
              money was debited from pnb a/c
              my booking id no. is - IN0912B05280. ( makemytrip booking no.)

              This money is not returned back to pnb bank till now.
              Already two days have been passed.
              Please help me to find the location of money and to get this money by returning to pnb bank.

                I booked an round-trip air ticket on Nov 11 with booking ID of FLT[protected]. The total charge was Rs4873. At night I was called and told the return flight 9W-2121 was not available. I checked the website again and when the service person called back, I told her to change the return flight to G8-371 (from the flight on Sun night to Mon morning). I remember the quoted price of G8-371 at the time was Rs200-300 cheaper than the 9W-2121. But the billing amount in invoice I received the following day remained Rs4873. I made several requests via hotline and email, but no satisfactory response was received.

                All the information I received from [protected]@makemytrip.com look quite illogical, inconsistent and ill-grounded.

                1) I received in email titled “MakeMyTrip E-Ticket for Booking ID FLT[protected]” on Nov 11. It shows the charge for departure flight and return flight Rs2333 respectively, but with a total charge of Rs4873. So far I didn’t get an explanation under what account rule Rs2333 + 2333 equals Rs4873. I don’t think this invoice would be regarded valid by any government agency or organization.

                2) "At the outset, we apologize for the inconvenience caused to you. With reference to your mail we would like to inform the price for Mumbai to bang lore which was been booked by you was 2333 INR and the ticket is issued in the amount of 2229.
                We have process this request to the concerned department to process an amount of 104 INR. We request to please cross check with your bank after 10 working days."

                - I received this email on Nov 18 from Prashant.[protected]@makemytrip.com on behalf of [protected]@makemytrip.com. No refund ever happened.

                3) At my request, they sent me this new 'correct invoice'.

                4) Received shortly another 'correct invoice' after the last email from Abhinav.[protected]@makemytrip.com as below,

                - My question remains the same: there are no mathematical equations here. Rs1+Rs2339+Rs200 ≠ Rs2592, Rs1+Rs2228 ≠ Rs2281. Besides, the total amount for departure flight SG344 here(Rs2592) is different from the number in the original invoice(Rs2333). Why? These figures look to me suspiciously manipulated. I sent mails on Nov 24, Nov 25 and Dec 16 for further clarification on these points and was not responded ever since.

                5) Below is the last mail I received from customer.[protected]@makemytrip.com on Dec 6.

                They still didn't have a clue which return flight on earth I actually take. Is that the reason why it’s so difficult to figure out the correct billing amount?


                I cannot believe these sloppy and self-contradictory messages come from single one company if there be any internal training and control systems in place.

                The price difference is trivial. But the indiffernce and arrogance they show really makes my indignant. Simply because this is smal money, they can rightfully put this money into pocket without giving a justified reason to the customer? When issuing or making up invoices, they don't even bother to make it look mathematically correct at least. What can I say?

                I will go to file a consumer grievance complaint againt MakeMyTrip on deceitful business, or faking invoice, or simply road robbery.

                Please think twice before you book on MakeMyTrip. If you are bold enough to go, make sure you take screen shot for every step during the online transaction, keep all the sent and received emails, and record all the conversations in serivce line, in case you go to a lawsuit against them in future.

However, my bank account was debited twice i.e. Rs.6033 + Rs.6033 for the same booking. I request you to kindly verify the above overcharging and credit back to my bank account with Rs.6033 immediately.

                  On 6th December around half-past ten, I booked a return ticket to Colombo on 15th Dec 2009 and 13th Jan 2010. At first the booking was rejected, but I was charged. Fortunately they confirmed my ticket the next day.

                  Unfortunately I had to shelve my plans for a trip to Colombo. So I made the first call on Friday 11th Dec to Make My Trip Customer Support to cancel the booking and secure a refund. I tried a couple of times but nobody replied.

                  On Saturday between 7am-8am I was finally able to connect to a CC-exec who told me that the Airlines Office, Air India Express in this case, would be closed and that she would call me later in the day and cancel my ticket as well as give me the refund calculation.

                  And that was the last I heard that day. Next day, I called them up again in the evening. The 2 - 3 calls being blatantly rejected (Yeah, they attend it, put you on hold, the music is the last you hear. Nothing else), I was able to speak to one Shruti at around 8:30pm. She told me she can cancel my ticket at that moment, but would be able to give a refund calculation. I gave her the nod for cancellation. She then informed me that I will receive an e-mail from Make My Trip regarding refund calculation amount and a confirmation too.

                  And again that was the last we heard about that.

                  On Monday 14th Dec 2009, between 2-3pm I gave a call, again, and was answered by one Poornima. She put me on hold and in a few moments they disconnected the call. Now that is when I got curious. So I logged on this site and which I am writing this there are already 57 complaints registered against them.

                    I booked the above e-ticket online 20 oct. via makemytrip.
                    Last thu (10 dec.) i found that i can not cancel this booking online and i send mail to makemytrip 3 times. up to now i only receive one automail said that "we will get back to you within 24 hours..." on 11 dec. but until today (14 dec.) i get nothing news for this case : (
                    The boarding date of the e-ticket is: 18 dec.2009, it seems so hard to get refund from makemytrip.

                      On 6th December, i tried booking an international flight thru' makemytrip.com.
                      The transaction failed. But my credit card was charged an amount of Rs.9385/-

                      Calls to their customer care number do not elicit any proper response about refund.

                      This kind of service will only dimish business flows in the future.

                        I had booked 2 tkts with foll PNR - ZXSXLY, ZXSYG4 thru' makemytrip.com's telephone travel agent. The call was attended by one Mr. Himanshu Handa. I was informed that my credit card would be charged Rs.33000/- per tkt (total - 66000) for both the tkts.
                        But my credit card was charged 4 times for the following amounts: 22000, 18000, 15000, 80000; total - Rs.135000/-

                        An extra 69000 was charged for no reason. Also, none of the above charges equal the tkt value of 33000, which clearly indicates that my card has been charged for something else also. On hearing my complaint, all Mr. Himanshu Handa had to say was "this happens sometimes. You'll get refund in 7 days".

                        I demand an immediate refund of the extra amount charged. Charging credit card without consent of the owner is same as credit card theft.

                        This kind of behaviour will only taint the name of the business and reduce business flows in the long run.

                          I had booked a ticket from Delhi to Casablanca on the Emirates through Makemytrip.com. Later I cancelled the ticket through Emirates. Emirates said that since I had booked the ticket through a travel agent the money was refunded to the travel agent ie makemytrip.com.

                          When I spoke to Makemytrip.com they said that there would be no refunds on ticket cancellation.

                          So this means my money which Emirates returned to Makemytrip.com would not be refunded !!!

                          What do I do now?

                            sir,
                            I have made booking with makemytrip.com on 18th oct'09 for to and fro flight from ahmedabad to delhi. Departing flight on 3rd,nov'09 with Spice jet and the return flight on 5th,nov'09 with Kingfisher red for my parents Mr. Vinod Doshi and Harsha Doshi.The amount for entire booking was Rs. 9024.
                            When the process of making payment via credit card was midway there was error in connection on the website , i had to redo the entire process again and got the booking done , the booking id was FLT[protected].
                            On 3rd nov'09 i received a call from Makemy trip, stating that there's duplication in booking for the Ahmedabad to Delhi flight of spicejet due to some error on their side,they inquired about my booking id and said there was another booking id FLT[protected] and are canceling the ticket having booking id FLT[protected].
                            On 3rd nov'09 night i got suspicious that there can be a duplication in return flight as well. Hence i logged on to make my trip website and cancelled the duplicate booking for the return flight of kingfisher red having the same booking id FLT[protected]. As soon as the cancellation was done i received a message from the company that your refund for cancellation is in process and we will refund Rs. 3995/- and Rs. 2663/- (which is after the cancellation charges ) within 10 working days.
                            Even i was charged for two bookings on my credit card for amount Rs.9024 and Rs.9246.
                            After that i had talked with Makemy trip customer care alot many times for refunding amount of Rs. 9246 without deducting the cancellation charges .For appoximately on month the made me run from pillar to post stating our technical dept was looking in the issue and will resolve it, after which i was conveyed that it was not the fault of the website and i will have to bare cancellation charges, for no fault of mine. In the mean time i got a refund of Rs. 2663/- for the kingfisher flight which i had cancelled on the net after deducting the cancellation charges.
                            For the spicejet flight i am still awaiting the refund . Today on 9th dec'09 after having called atleast 10 times to makemy trip , i am conveyed that they will refund Rs. 2361/- and not Rs. 3995/- which they have messaged me on my cell phone,( i am still holding that message with me).
                            Kindly help me out from this loss of Rs. 9246/-.

                              The experience I have had with makemytrip folks has been by far the worst ever customer service that I have experienced or heard of! I must've talked to about 8 different support individuals at makemytrip.com over 28 hours period, on the phone most of the time, and to my amazement none of them focused on addressing the original request of reissuing the ticket and getting a new e-ticket number in a timely manner.


                              I can't help but believe that all these folks I talked to at makemytrip.com were incompetent in reissuing a new e-ticket number, but I'm also very tempted to believe that there was some other internal policy that encouraged all these folks to refrain from providing a new e-ticket number... all this for some personal gain at the expense of the customer - my mother in this particular case! It's a shame that it took about 28 hours for the 8+ folks at their end to simply reissue the ticket and provide a new e-ticket number, despite numerous requests from myself and the ticketing agents to provide the same! Makemytrip.com has deeply troubled my mother and I doubt she will ever be comfortable traveling international again. All the other family members and friends have also been concerned with all this to the extent that we will definitely not do or recommend anybody to do business with makemytrip.

                              I thought it necessary to let the world know of the impression makemytrip has imprinted on one customer and their family and friends. It's a shame that such companies are thriving despite their incompetency and total disregard to the customer whose money they are building their lives off of.

                              If there are zero changes to your originally issued ticket, you may be fine, but if there is any change, and you need assistance from makemytrip.com, they will most likely put you through hell!!!

                              Below is my email to Customer Care at makemytrip.com, to which they conveniently decided not to respond or comment on, but I'm not surprised.

                              I am providing you feedback on my experience with the makemytrip[protected].

                              I had purchased a round-trip ticket from makemytrip.com for my mother to travel from India to visit me in the US. On the day of her originally scheduled return (Dec 2, 2009) from Portland (PDX) to Vishakhapatnam (VTZ), all her flights were confirmed. At the time of check-in at the PDX airport on Dec. 2nd, we were told at the ticketing counter that they were unable to view or print the ticket due to the following message on their computer: "9W ETKT - Display restricted by 9W".

                              The ticketing agent told us that the ticket needed to be "re-issued" and they needed a "new e-ticket number" to resolve the issue. They called makemytrip.com and I also called makemytrip.com separately to request the same. We had about 2 hours before the flight departure, but unfortunately the makemytrip folks did not reissue the ticket as requested and my mother missed the original flight. There was another flight a couple hours later the same day and I hoped that we could get a new eticket number at least by then, but again makemytrip folks failed to do that. In the process, to my amazement, while most others were relatively polite, one of the female representatives at makemytrip actually hung up the phone on the ticketing agent in frustration! The effect of this incompetence was not on the ticketing agent, but on the customer - my mother. After several hours on the phone and after missing the 2nd flight, I requested the tickets be reissued for the next day and was clearly told by them that they will provide me the new e-ticket number.

                              We went home and I was on the phone with makemytrip.com for several more hours the rest of the day, asking for the reissued ticket and the new eticket number. In the end, the schedule was changed to the next day with LH752 waitlisted, but I was provided with the exact same e-ticket number as the one that had caused the issue in the beginning. The next morning, before heading out to the airport I asked them and they confidently said that there will be no issues and that I should go to the airport and then check-in, rather than attempting to check-in online at home. I reached the airport a couple hours earlier than the flight again. To my disappointment, the issue from the previous day was still not resolved. The ticketing agent again clearly stated that they needed a new e-ticket number. I passed on this message again very clearly to makemytrip folks, but unfortunately despite repeatedly mentioning that my mother is old and traveling on wheelchair assistance, and couldn't stay legally in the US another day, they still did not issue a new eticket number and she again missed the scheduled flight. I then asked them to let me speak with their supervisor, but they wouldn't let me. Finally, after much more time, one of the supervisors called me gave me a new e-ticket number for a different flight the same day. This resolved the original issue and the ticketing agent could now print the ticket. However, the time between the connecting flights in Frankfurt was not enough and my mother missed the connecting flight from Frankfurt. She had no choice but to be seated in wheelchair with no food or any other assistance from the airline for another 24 hours. On top of that, when she reached Shamshabad, she was asked to pay for the ticket to VTZ 'cause they couldn't find her reservation. I called the airlines directly and got this resolved in the end.

                              We booked Jet Connect flight no 9W-2401 (FLT[protected]) which was scheduled to reach from
                              Kolkata to Pune on 12th December. But the flight was cancelled when it reached Mumbai . The Jet Airways people provided the refund voucher for the same. They asked to get the refund through Make my trip as the ticket was booked by Make my trip .

                              As discussed with Make my trip we have provided all required documents i.e scan copy of E-tickets, Boarding pass, Refund Voucher (Provided by Jet connect). But they were just going lie by saying that they haven't received the scan copy of those documents but we marked cc to our own email id and we got those mails along with those scan copy documents at the same time. Then they had to agree that they have received. But by that time they forgot my original request and they were asking us "What is you demand Sir". Then we replied with our old story along with the required documents again. After that they were saying that they were trying to reach us over phone nos whereas we haven't got any miscall in our cell nos. Then we have sent the reply mentioned below along with 2 contact nos. But till date we haven't got any calls, any mails regarding the same. :

I PAID AN AMOUNT OF Rs 5999/- FOR THE MMT HOLIDAY SAVER PROGRAM THAT I RECEIVED ON 31st OCTOBER 2009.OVER THE TELEPHONE I CLARIFIED FROM THEM IF IAM SUPPOSED TO PAY ANY MONEY APART FROM THIS AT THE TIME OF BOOKING .THEY TOLD ME ,NO.THIS IS THE ONLY AMOUNT I HAVE TO PAY.BUT WHEN I RECEIVED THE VOUCHER AND I WENT THROUGH THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS WHICH WERE NOT TOLD TO US OVER THE TELEPHONE I REALISED THAT THERE IS LOT OF DISPARITY IN WHAT THEY TOLD AND WHAT ARE WRITTEN IN THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS.I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO SPEAK TO THEM SINCE THEN BUT THE CUSTOMER CARE PEOPLE ASKED ME TO WRITE TO AN EMAIL AS THEY THEMSELVES WERE NOT AWARE OF ANY THING.                                   My name is Pradeep Vasudevan. I booked a couple ticket + Hotel combo offer on Makemytrip.com for 28 Feb 2010 which included airfare and hotel charge which came around 18063.

                                  Destination: Lucknow to Goa
                                  Booking ID: FPH8315628
                                  Booking Date: Dec 7, 2009

                                  When I completed my booking I realised that my name was appearing twice for the airline and hotel booking. I mistakenly skipped the option where I had to fill up the second passengers name. So the system took my name as the default and both the tickets were booked on my name. The system should not have allowed me to book the ticket if I had not put the second name or atleast should have shown an alert.

                                  As I had to travel with my wife, and the ticket not having her name would not allow to travel with me. My name was appearing twice in the list. In vain I contacted Makemytrip customer care telling them that my name is appearing twice and I need to change it. They said this cannot be changed. So, I was asked to contact indigo and spicejet airlines. But the airlines refused to change the name as it was not there policy. But the itinery clearly showed my name twice. How can one single person travel twice in the same plane?

                                  So, I was routed back to MakeMyTrip.com. This episode took one hour and finally the customer care told me that as this is a combo offer I would have to cancel the flight and hotel booking together. I was charged around Rs 4250 as charges for not putting the second name.

                                  I beleive this is totally a fraud being done with consumers. The system should be designed in such a way as to avoid these irregularities. It should have alerts telling the customer to put the second passengers name or it shoud not proceed further.
                                  Because of this flaw in the booking system I have lost valuable hard earned money.

                                  If I can get my this amount reimbursed and the website corrected. It would be a great help to me as well as to others who use online booking systems.

                                    Dear Sir/Madam,

                                    1. I was offered a holiday booking from makekytrip.com under the Great Indian Festival Offer by Mr Rakesh Kumar Mittal and Mr Kshitij of Shiftthoughts Consulting on 17 Nov 2009 vide transaction ID – 6422 and promised a holiday package as follows:-

                                    (a) Destination - Goa

                                    (b) Duration – 3 Nights and 4 days

                                    (c) Accommodation – Five star/ four star hotel

                                    (d) Transportation – Pickup and drop from/at airport/ railway station and one destination visit daily.

                                    (e) Travel – AC First Class Ticket in train for husband & wife and two kids from home station to destination (will be provided by company)

                                    (f) Food – Breakfast, lunch and dinner on all days

                                    (g) Other benefits as given in coupons and covered under offer.


                                    2. An amount of Rs. 7720/- (Rupees Seven Thousand Seven Hundred and Twenty Only) was charged from me under the offer. I was told that I have been selected among thousands of customers for this special offer as a special customer and the package actually costs more than Rs. 28,000/- to company but is being offered to me on concessional rates because of selection as a special customer. I was told that the offer will be available to Goa even in the last week of December and there will not be any additional/ hidden charges other than what has already been charged from me. I was also advised to book my holiday once I receive the welcome pack.



                                    3. I received the welcome pack on 02 Dec 2009. When I contacted the numbers provided in the voucher to book my holiday, I was told at first by Ms Monica and later by Mr Ajai that there is no such offer admissible to me and moreover no bookings can be made through my vouchers between 20 Dec to 25 Jan. I spoke to Mr Ravi of makekytrip on 04 Dec, who assured me that my case will be addressed within a day or two, if not my money will be returned. Later in the day, Mr Kshitij of Shiftthoughts contacted me on phone and informed that accommodation is available in Hotel Park Plaza at Goa and my booking can be made.



                                    4. I have not received any further communication in this regard till now. I request you to please expedite my booking as me and my wife have already got our leaves sanctioned from 23 Dec to 31 Dec 2009 and a booking in between these days only will suit us. Please also address the areas of such ambiguities to avoid unnecessary litigations at consumer court and innocent customers should not feel cheated. Please inform me expeditiously about my booking or refund. Thank you.

                                    This is bantosh kumar from delhi.On 25th of march this year i booked my ticket along with my friend nisheeth kumar from chennai to kolkata of 18th may in the flight 6E-523 with the booking PNR-P1DGCP from TAKE OFF TRIP.Due to my personal problems i cancelled my ticket on 17th may with the cancelled PNR-X2M9EM and my friend nisheeth travelled on his ticket.I booked my ticket from a travel agent whose address is given below :

                                    i received a call on[protected] from[protected] which claimed to be from makemytrip. i was informed that i had been selected for some offer on redeem vouchers, the person on line had all the details of my last transaction with makemytrip( flight tickets patna-mumbai on[protected] and mumbai-patna on[protected], dhanraj devi). i made a payment using hdfc credit card for the amount rs7719.90, the bank confirmed that the amount has been debited towards payment to SHIFTTHOUGHTS CONSULT AT 6.23 PM ON[protected], but the person on line( supposedly makemytrip representative) denies any such transaction. i want my money back. how can you share all details with third parties?
                                    The same issue happened with me today :-( how make my trip can share the details with third party.
                                    Oh my God, i dont believe i m cheated, this is Samresh Gahatraj...i am a Kidney Transplant patient...today (August 12, 2010) i recieved a call from [protected] at around 2:00pm, there was a lady who said she was from Makemytrip.com and told me that i was one of the 115 people selected for recieving some redeem vouchers which would last me a year and that i would be able to book my airtickets and also do shopping with these, told me about the packages and also that it actually costs more than Rs.28000/- and i have it for around Rs.6000/-...what drew me the most was that she told me i could even buy medicines with these, then the call was transferred to another lady who claimed to be from customer care or something, the line wasnt very clear, she guided me through the payment procedure, also asked for my postal address, told me that the welcome kit would be dispatched to me on that address, as i was told that i could even buy medicines with these, i didnt have any 2nd thought and proceeded with the payment, i paid using my SBI internet banking account and the amount was credited to SHIFT THOUGHTS CONSULTING PVT.LTD, PASCHIM VIHAR, DELHI AXIS BANK, Account no.[protected] amount Rs.6, 622...then finally after the payment was done, she told me that she would call me back after 5 hours to confirm my postal address and also give me some more information, but i didnt get the call even after 6 hours, so i just kept waiting for the call but just in vain, then i finally thought of calling the no. myself and found that it wasnt possible to reach that no. then i felt something was wrong and started to check online about the makemytrip and shift thoughts consulting thing...and was SHOCKED to see that i've been cheated...lots already cheated before me...oh my god!! its just a year since my kidney transplant now and m taking almost Rs.40, 000/-per month worth of medicines now, and belonging to a middle class family i am really struggling for my medicines as i have a govt.job with a meager salary and every penny counts for me as i am alive just coz m taking these medicines and this Rs.6600 can get me a box of my costly medicines which will last me for almost 2 weeks...please get me my money back for i have to buy my medicines!!! paid a price for being so innocent!!! please help!!!
                                    well, its me Samresh Gahatraj again...one day later...really had a sigh of relief this morning when they called me back and made everything clear to me...they told they didnt call me yesterday evening as they didnt receive my payment then!! i saw that it was actually a genuine promotional campaign by makemytrip, saw everything on their website...i received the email regarding full information on the benefits i am going to get out of the vouchers and also the conformation email on my payment received by them...so now that i am clear about the matter, i take my complaint back...thanks!!
                                    The same thing happened to me today. I have got a call from SHIFT THOUGHTS CONSULTING PVT.LTD. They were claiming the same offer from make my trip.com. They give me the same account number AXIS BANK, Account no.[protected] amount Rs.6, 616. After transferring the money to that account nobody called me back. The concerned person told me that I will be contacted within 5 minutes after transferring the money. This is disgusting. They should be punished for this reason. They are making the whole system unreliable.
                                    Dear People,

                                    I was approached my ShiftThoughts to buy a package which would give me following benefits.

                                    a) Vouchers that would give me Rs.500 discount per domestic ticket as long as I was part of the travel itinerary.
                                    b) Voucher that would give me.Rs.1000 discount per international ticket. These said vouchers were non-transferable.
                                    c) Discount card which would fetch me discount at various domestic and international hotels.
                                    d) One free Reebok watch

                                    First Complaint : My first complaint is that Shifthoughts took longer time to send the package. After sending threatening emails to lodge a police complaint makemytrip sent me the package, but the watch was local make by Optima(I am sure it was cheaper version).

                                    please note this offer was published on makemytrip website in the following link: http://www.makemytrip.com/promotion/great-indian-festive-offer.php under the title "The Great Indian Festival offer".

                                    So I trusted this was a genuine offer by Makemytrip and I paid for it vide my credit card.

                                    Second complaint:I want to redeem the voucher for my family travelling to Goa along with me. As stated on the voucher I cannot book the ticket onlineand use the voucher to get the discount. It was clearly stated to call up a telephone number[protected] and avail the benefits of the voucher.

                                    Now to my surprise-No one on the number specified including the call centre of Make my trip knew anything about the voucher.

                                    I got on a call with Jasminder Singh and Pratik Chaudhary. Who foolishly asked me to call the person who sold the vouchers to me. One of the girls at the call centre was very clear she is into sales and not handle client complaints. So I asked her to transfer the line to grievances unit, she said she did not know if such kind o[censored]nit existed.

                                    Now I have a set of vouchers which I want to use for my Family's trip to Goa and I cannot use because there is no means to use the voucher.

                                    I am hopping to get some one from Make my trip understand the operational issues and address my requirement at the earliest, Before i lodge a complaint in consumer court and pull them for various Mis presentation that are being dolled out by Makemytrip.com

                                    Third complaint: This is not a complaint but just to highlight the misrepresentation that Makemytrip does and takes people for a ride.

                                    I see an advertisement on thier site which states "Buy one Get One Free". In reality Make my trip only provides Rs.1000/- off on the second ticket. Is someone looking into such false promises on the advertisement because this is a clear case of misrepresentation by a company registered in India.

                                    My Name is Panduranga Swamy.G, i am from Hyderabad, today morning i have received a call from your Executive with the number of[protected] Regarding the Discount card and after we had a discussion about the same. following things she informed me.

                                    1) This is absolutely free without annual fee and without charges.
                                    2) You can get 20% discount in all your Credit Card Transaction in all over India (except Petrol & Diesel)
                                    3) Also you can get Rs.18500/- worth of free gift voucher.
                                    4) Also you can get 2 days 3 nights 3&5 star hotel accommodation free.

                                    In this conversation, she is not yet discussed about charges and fees, also she told that, you will receive a conformation call.

                                    During the discussion i also asked her how i can get all this free? So she replied that, We had a Tie-up with HDFC and your are the privileged customer to HDFC bank, so you can get all this as a selected customer.

                                    Also she told that, Before getting the conformation call, you have to get 6 Digits Pin number from your bank for doing the process. For the that, she instructed to follow as (by sending the SMS with the following hints (PWD Credit card last 4 digits) by sending to 5676712). I done the same, again she called me and taken the massage receipt conformation.

                                    After some time i got the call from his superior with following number[protected], and he also informed the same things and he informed me to hold some time to get the HDFC server connection and afterwards he told to follow the instruction.

                                    I have followed the instruction, while following the instruction i have entered my Credit Card 16 digits number and as well as my credit card expiry date. During this process, server auto call asking about my CVV number, than i got stuck-up, that time, your person instructed to put CVV number, than i asked him, why i need to put my Credit Card CVV number ? but he said that, it is just to finish the process, after completion of this, in my credit card an amount of Rs.6399/- was debited, so i have seen that, and asked your officer, it is free but why it is charged to my account, than, your executive told sorry, and he is saying that, i thought my earlier executive would have informed you regarding this charges.

                                    Even i have told him to not to process, but he told that, it is not possible.if you want know the facts, just cross check with your cal records.

                                    And also requested HDFC credit card customer care to not process the amount, so they are instructed me to keep informed to merchant regarding this cancellation. Hence I am informing you this cancellation.

                                    All this conversations has been recorded in my tele recorded, so if you are not going to resolve my problem, i will go by law in consumer court with all proofs.

                                    Please, i am requesting you to cancel the same. i don't want any free cards and discount cards.
                                    I hope you have understood my problem and you are going to resolve it.

                                    this is to inform that I have got a call on 29th november 2012.

                                    They asked me all the information for HDFC Credit Card like

                                    on the pretext of Verifying my Details for ISSUING OF new HDFC Credit Card
                                    by one week.

                                    When i gave all the details, within 5 min i received sms from HDFC Credit Card.
                                    which says:

                                    "your transaction on HDFC Bank Credit Card for 6399.00 at SHIPTHOUGHTS CONSULTI is declined "

                                    I Still do not know why they have used my details for doing the TRANSACTION ON the Web.

                                      I have booked ticket from Mumbai to Melbourne on 9 November 2009 through Make My Trip,and while booking one of the employee swiped my credit card twice,and he promised me that I will get the refund for the amount in 10-12 working days,its more than a month now since I have done the booking,and I have not yet got my refund of Rs. 21970(ticket amount) and my cashback amount of Rs.1000.

                                      I am following up with them since then,but they are just telling me it will be done,but nothing is done yet.

                                      Make My Trip — Credit card swiped twice

                                      I had booked a international ticket vide MakeMyTrip Booking ID FLTINT[protected] on 27/04/10. My card had been swiped twice. On inquiring with make my trip my complaint was registered with complaint no. IN1004R0073084 wherein one Mr. Gaurav confirmed that the card was wrongly swiped twice and promised that the entry will be reversed within 72 hours. After one week also the same has not been reversed.
                                      Calling make my trip is not helping
